I really enjoy this Walmart--it's close to me, convenient, and usually has everything I need. The store itself is well-stocked and easy to get in and out of, which I appreciate. The only issue I've run into is with the Spectrum representatives inside, especially during busier times (around 6 PM in my case). During my last visit, one of the reps was very persistent and wouldn't take no for an answer, even after I politely declined multiple times. I'm there to shop, and if I wanted to sign up for Spectrum, AT&T, or Google services, I know how to do my own research. I try to be respectful, but the interaction became frustrating. Other than that, my experience with the store itself has been positive. I just hope there can be a better balance so customers don't feel pressured as they shop. read more

Horrible experience! 8 self checkout kiosks and only one open. The others were for spark! Then the worker who is suppose to help the 1 person in line is off day dreaming and they have to wave her down to okay their alcohol purchase! Come on! How hard is it to stay awake. Not to mention this was during the dinner rush when they need those machines open more than ever. 40 minutes in line to buy 7 items. There are usually 3-5 employees working or standing around the entrance chatting. I'm perfectly fine that no one greets me, but do not like having to walk in between their conversation or feeling crowded as I enter the store. There is one gentleman there that does often greet. This isn't the stores fault, but I have noticed that the customers at this location are inconsiderate and will cut you in line. read more

This store has the worst customer service that I've ever seen. I had cat food I was bringing back that was full of bugs we sprayed them and they refused to take it back. I called customer service the 800 number and they said they can't do a thing about it, because they have to go along with the store and what kind of a policy is this they were friskies 40 pack. Just a query; why install one-way aisle arrows, social distancing signs and mandate mask wearing if your staff doesn't follow them or enforce them on customers? Numerous staff without masks walking the wrong way up aisles, as well as customers. 6ft measures not abided by, people crammed up close at checkouts. Social distancing measures are effectively non existent, so just why not quit the pretence your store has measures in place? It's fine, but don't pretend you are doing it, so that those who choose to social distance can go to a store that actually does it. I have seen it down very professionally elsewhere. I had a wonderful experience in the electronics section. A young man named Ian the other day helped me to figure out what I needed to connect my iPhone to a printer. He also made other suggestions on a recorder for my car and the benefits of it . Great job Walmart . Our cashiers name was Destiny in aisle 10. Omg! Talking about slow and no enthusiasm. My one year d granddaughter would have given better customer service. There was no greeting, when I asked her a question she laughed and looked confused. My husband and I were purchasing a coffee maker Destiny asked if we wanted the warranty(shocking) and we asked what would it cover. She couldn't answer while chewing her gum as if she hadn't eaten today or relayed to Essie the cow. I drove by the construction for this Walmart several times a day while it was being built. It went up fast and I was so excited because 5y8s location is only half a mile from my house. I couldbt wait for a place to go that was closer to home and bigger, hopefully less crowded as the HEB another mile down the road that was my usual grocery store. 'Walmart has everything' and with a newborn I figured that the closer the 24hr grocery store the better. Well, for one I dont even know for sure that this Walmart is actually a 24hr walmart. I know kost are but the other night we ran outta formula at 4 in the morning. It wasnt ling hefore my husband came back and told me it was actually closed!! I was so upset and so was the baby!! That weekend we decided to have some family over to bbq and decided on fajita. We usually buy the preseasoned ones, like the ones we buy from HEB, but they were nowhere to be found at walmart. When we asked where they were- we figured we had just shipped over them- we were told they don't sell fajita meat. Is this a joke?! Its summer time in Texas and you eont sell fajita meat...?! So we had to make a trip to HEB to get fajita meat. A few days later I went to put money on one of those reloadable visa cards which cost $3 everytime you reload money to it and the cashier eidnf know how to do it. Neither did the cashier next to her. So I was told to wait for a supervisor who was also very confused. I've hwd this reloable card a long time and had never had any trouble at any other Walmart. Well... yesterday was the last straw for me. It was about 9pm, busy busy, busy there and they literally had 3 of what seems like a million lanes open. Lines so long it was ridiculous. I notice lane 2 is open. Its kinda hidden away for some reason and its a 20 or less lane. What do ya know, I had only a few items and was in a huge hurry. Her light is on, I get up to the register behind the lady being checked out... the cashier turned her light off. I figured she could check me out real quick considering I'm already there and have just a few items. The lady checking people out in the next lane over tells me 'ma'am her register is closed' I tri3d to say I was mainly just needing to buy baby formula and medicine and get home, I was in a hurry but was cut off by her telling me 'well she's about to clock out' then the cashier whos lane I was in tells me firmly shes clocking out and that I jeeded to go to another lane.... so now there are only 2 lanes open and I waited in line the longest 10 minutes of my life... when I get up there the yirl says nothing to me and as shes checking me out she asked if the 2 items arms length away I put up there for her were also mine. I said yes and she just looked at me ... it took a few seconds to realize she wanted me to get them and hand them to her. Seriously?! Rude, rude, rude!!!!!! This location is not a large as the Converse location. Also the website says they are open 24 hours, which is not true. I saw the 24 hours thing and went there at 4am.. and they were closed. No hours were posted on the entire store front either. As for the store itself, its a clean, nice new store.. although smaller. And it's usually packed when it is open. It would help the community if they did in fact stay open 24 hours a day. Be being closed, it seems to me like neighborhood profiling. Which is in no way fair. I thought ALL Wal-Mart stores were open 24 hours a day. Long story short, I had to drive all the way to Converse.. even though this location is half a mile from my home. That's sad. read more

I normally don't shop here. The HEB on Fm 78 is MUCH better for grocery shopping. Plus, they actually utilize all their registers to check customers out unlike Walmart. THIS IS NOT A 24HR STORE!! I realized this when we were shopping and they announced that the store will be closing in 30 mins. Its a new store, and it seems nice and clean in there for now. But that wont last long. Its Walmart so be prepared to wait to check out. The person that checked us out seemed upset that we were checking out 30 mins before they closed. She didn't say a word to me the whole time I was putting our stuff on the counter to check out. When I finished I moved the cart down and asked her how she was doing. In a sarcastic manor she said, " I'm here arent I". Then I said, "wow, you must not like you job," in a joking tone. No reply. Love this Walmart its smaller than other ones and not as crowded. i just don't go to Walmart for groceries the produce never looks fresh and the meat is gross i bought hamburger meat here one time and it tasted ugly. * noticed in this Storeon Foster Rd that the demand is double what was expected before opening, The Store made in one week what was expected in a month, people visit almost daily that actually live within 2 minutes of the Store. But what I have noticed besides many people coming in just to steal things because they know that Wal-Mart is a Billion dollar industry and probably won't Miss the items stolen, is that people come in there with an Attitude of "I am the Customer and you Better serve me and serve me Right Now!" who cares about these other customers in here that are being served or waiting on being served, I have a need right now! Yes customer's are Wal-Mart's main focus but an associate or Cashier can only wait on one customer at a time to make sure that customer is totally satisfied before going to or helping the next customers there. I have seen customers blurt out questions to an associates, not saying excuse me, or Hello, not even noticing a current customer is present, as if that customer didn't exist, and expects the associate to drop everything to help them at that moment. We are in such an instant world people don't go into stores and look around anymore they want associates to tell them where each item is so they don't have to walk around and look for it. Associates are also always assigned to other duties. Associates work long hours sometimes standing in place so that customers get in and out, Wal-Mart has a great turn over especially among cashiers because they can't take some of the customers looking down on them attitude. I have heard customers compare HEB with Wal-Mart just to get the discount that they want. A lot of the customers are why a good cashier or sales person is in bad moods. Customers need to also be considerate of other customers when in any supermarket, Wal-Mart promises to offer good and pleasant service, we are all learning together in this brand New Store, we see customers eating food in store that's not paid for, allowing children to run ramped through the store, walk up to register unprepared to pay for items that they pick out which causes a delay for other customers that are waiting, leaving their grocery carts all over the parking lot instead of taking a few minutes to put the cart up.
