Lately Walmart has been allowing outside salesmen in their store to sell cable, phone,newspapers etc. these outside salespeople are annoying and aggressive- I don't like being accosted while shopping. I was accused of stealing at this walmart today. It's perturbing because I don't steal and I go to this walmart regularly. In their defense, I do not stop for that stupid line on the way out of the door. I already waited on their slow cashiers to pay for everything. This particular day I went through the cashier.I did not self check. As I was walking past the old people going over their receipts with the other old people, i just kept walking. I never stop for a receipt checks. The lady starts yelling at me as I declined to wait in a line to leave. As i'm loading up my stuff, I have a fully dressed walmart employee following me through the parking lot and taking a bunch of pictures of me and my car. I really wish they would have detained me. I've been going to walmart my whole life. I've worked at walmart. I've never been caught stealing at walmart. Now I feel like if I go back.I'm gonna get arrested because I didn't want to wait an extra ten minutes to show my receipt. There's a lot of walmarts in this area. If you have a lot of holiday shopping to do, this is not the walmart for you. I was just trying to buy 3 year old son some birthday presents. Im a single dad so I can't afford a party. They want to make you wait twenty minutes to leave their store and then treat you like a thief and file your information because you didn't want to. In these two pictures I have everything I bought. I honestly only come here when I'm desperate for certain items. The employees profile the customers so bad that it makes for a dissatisfying experience; but that's just the cherry on top of multiple unsatisfactory shopping experiences. Also something to take note of is the store always closes early and will not let you in even almost 30 minutes prior to closing. read more

OK so where do I begin? The people that do work at this Walmart are very friendly however there are not enough of them. The customer service line goes almost outside the door because there's only one person working there. The parking lot is designed horribly with these shrubs that keep you from seeing things past the stop sign. To top that all off they have no consideration for the elderly and do not have a shopping cart pick up in that area. This means that they are forced to leave their carts there where they roll into everybody else's cars leaving dents and scratches everywhere. This is the closest Walmart to my home, but I'm really getting sick and tired of these employees becoming sassy and complaining when I refuse for them to see my receipt. I already got checked at self checkout because I put my items in a bag AFTER scanning and it alerted for stealing. We denied the lady looking at our receipts and she said "whatever we have you on camera anyway" I said "okay then if we stole, then you'd see it but we didn't since we got checked at self checkout anyway". I went to this Walmart Sunday, March 22 and I was embarrassed for the store. I took no photos because I felt bad for this Walmart. There was no regular bread with exception of some cakes, French bread and donuts. There was no meats of any kind - no chicken, no beef, no pork, no fish, not even bacon with exception of a couple of boxes of catfish nuggets which cost $25.00+ and no one purchased, some crab legs and some off brand fish/mahi-mahi, but no Tilapia or other fish. Then I went down the cereal aisle no boxes of cereal, except Count Chocula and a few other off brand cereal, no grits, no cream of wheat, no malto meal, only Quaker old fashion oats. Then I went down the household cleaningn aisle - nothing to clean your house - no Clorox, no ajax, no Babo, barely items to wash your clothes, just terrible. I dare not go to the toilet paper and paper towel aisle!! Is this Walmart going to sell to the bare walls then close due to HEB on Blanco Road and West Avenue being the number one choice in proximity? This is my thought. HEB showed their warehouse on TV, full to the ceiling, hiring stockers and stocking their stores every night. Walmart has a large distribution center in New Braunfels, TX. What's going on Walmart? Papa Walton is probably turning in his grave, wishing his children were assisting this Walmart with products to help the people in the community during this CoVid-19 crisis. Walmart, I am asking as a 70 year Senior Citizen, please restock this store as well as other stores. It is crazy to drive around trying to find one loaf of bread or milk for the grand children. I am one who should not be out and about during the CoVid-19 era. I know HEB delivers to your but does Walmart deliver to your door? I come here, I wait in the long line to the self checkout and the Walmart employee directly points me to one of the open registers. I'm half way bagging my shit, I only have 22 items, UNLESS YOU COUNT EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TOMATO, then I guess I have 26 items, and he goes "we are going to have to cancel your transaction and you're going to have to go wait in line in one of the other registers because there is a long line and you have too many items" So this jerk of a Walmart employee literally makes me UNBAG EVERY ONE OF MY ITEMS AND PUT THEM BACK INTO THE CART. Then he proceeds to DELETE EVERY SINLGE ONE OF THE 12 ITEMS I HAD ALREADY SCANNED. I'm sure if you just let me finish I would have been out of there in less than the time it took to delete all those items! How embarrassing I literally had to argue and ask for the manager with this guy. read more

The staff here is so professional and friendly, thank you for treating me so kindly when you had no obligation to. I was an idiot yesterday and didn't eat/drink enough before my tattoo, and I almost fainted in the checkout line at Walmart afterwards because of this. I think about 6 separate staff members checked on me and gave me water, Gatorade, and snacks from their break room. They offered to call EMS, asked if there was any other specific care I needed, and we're just very professional about the whole thing. I enjoy this Walmart because it's close to where we live. I also like the fact that it's not as busy as other Walmarts that I have been to. The store is fairly clean and organized. The shelves are stocked more than other locations that I've been to. My experience with the staff has been pleasant for the most part (there are a few that you can tell don't want to be there, but still better than other Walmarts). I have found the things that I went in to buy at this location. I will admit that their produce isn't the freshest, but for the most part you can work with what they have. I also like that when I do go and employees are stocking the shelves, they're not in the way of your shopping experience. You can also find a Subway inside if you want to get a Subway sub before/after your shopping experience. Overall, a good Walmart to go to. read more

I hate coming to Wal-Mart. I super hate coming to Wal-Mart Supercenter. Come in for just a few items that I needed immediately, and found myself across the street from Super Wal-Mart. The store is huge, has everything, but it's impossible to find anything. Need a clerk? No, they don't have any of those to help. The place was rather dirty, the floors were sticky. When I found what I needed, went to check out, and there were incredibly long lines moving slowly. Fortunately, they have self-check out. However, that messed up and charged me twice for my item. Had to stand around and try to flag down a clerk to delete one of the items. Parking is a mess here. Please shop locally. read more

This Walmart is very clean and stocked most of the times I visit. So this is why I give it two stars. But as for the employee being hospitable and welcoming, that they are not! It's sad to see and it sometimes angers me to see how they speak to some of us but not all. But this Just lets me know that this big old world we live in still has a lot of work for some people. The employees never speak to me coming or going unless I speak to them first and it's part of their job to welcome people, All People! I even sometimes just stand back and wait and see when the next person comes in do they speak to them and depending on what color they are they do. I went to pay for something but can't really read until I put my glasses on. I went to a Cash Only by mistake. I told the lady and moved to the next register to pay. I turned to find her making fun of me to her co-worker and pointing at the Cash Only on the screen which I couldn't read without my glasses. I then said, "Thank you for making fun of me to my face". My Ninja Blender died! And of course, I had just thrown away the receipt and the box. I call this Walmart since its the closest one to my house. Explained my situation and that I just wanted an even exchange, to the girl who answered. She listened and told me I would need a manager approval. I then spoke with Keisha (pardon me if the spelling is wrong) She said they would do an even exchange for anything of equal or greater value. Awesome! I took all the pieces of my broken blender down and exchanged it for a better more powerful one of equal price. The employees of this Walmart are always pleasant and will ask if you need anything. Compared to other Walmarts in San Antonio, I definitely prefer this one. It is never very crowded and you can always find a line open. I know it's still rarely new but it's nice to not have to wait forever. It's clean also. The staff that i have encountered have been very friendly. Some of their groceries are higher priced than HEB but it's nice to go to when I just need a few things. I'm actually glad it's in the area now. read more

This Walmart is NOT OPEN until midnight. Saying that it's open until midnight is deceiving. We came around 11:00pm and they were turning away people saying they were closed. How inconvenient. Another time, we waited 20 mins for someone to unlock the spray paint case. It's like no one worked there or even wanted to help us. Attempted to return inflatable mattress brought yesterday but told could not because of health laws. I needed smaller mattress but would only return same amount. I said I didn't need this one but smaller mattress. Would exchange but charge me for the larger one that was more expensive. Waited 20 for managers but all in a meeting. This has been my third time to order delivery from Walmart. I was pleased with the first two orders even though the first order was just a couple of minutes late and the second was about ten minutes earlier than the one hour window. Normally this would have been just fine but unfortunately this time it wasn't because there was no one here to help me and I am temporarily disabled. Help arrived soon after however and saved the day. I placed a third order today for delivery between seven and eight this evening. The time is currently twenty five minutes past ten, no groceries, no email with regards to a delay and after three attempts to have someone contact me from the website...A BIG FAT NUTHIN!!! Needless to say, I am NOT a satisfied customer. This order cost over $100 and contained some OTC medications that are needed. WTF??? I want my order or my money back. I'm not the kind of person to usually write reviews as I have better things I could be doing but I had a terrible experience at this location. I purchased an item that was locked inside one of the window cases, when I initially asked for assistance I was told that somebody was going to open the door for me. I waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up, it wasn't until another customer asked for assistance then I had to wait until they were done. I ended up returning the item due to malfunction and decided to buy one of higher quality. When I went back I had to ask 3 different employees and ended up spending an extra 30 minutes total there for something that literally takes less than 30 seconds. When I told the third employee how long I had waited she replied that she would be right there while there were 3 other employees not busy, standing around talking to each other. Overall, a simple action that was supposed to take 30 seconds cost me 30 minutes. Employees seem lazy, like I get it, you work at Walmart and your not that thrilled but unlocking a window case doesn't take a whole lotta effort nor time. Definitely won't be returning. For a wal mart this one is pretty good. Generally clean store, pretty well kept and friendly staff. They have your basics and a good selection of relatively fresh produce if you're in a pinch for that. Glad to have this store so close by for the frequent last minute needs.. like a MacBook Air mini display to hdmi cord for an early morning presentation, just for example. :-D read more

I came here around 10am looking for a hard drive for my computer that I had seen online. It showed online that the store had several on-hand and when I approached the electronics section, they seemed to be having an all-hands store meeting (why would you do this on the floor btw?). I overheard the manager talking about how they needed to "engage customers" and close sales as I'm walking aisle by aisle looking for hard drives, I couldn't help but laugh inside at the irony of the situation. The one lady that was working the electronics section took about 15 minutes (I had walked the entire section twice, aisle by aisle by this time) to even ask if I needed help and I told her what I was looking for. Without looking any further, she just replied, everything we have is out on the floor, so if you don't see it, we don't have it. I had the item I was looking for up on the Walmart app and I went to explain that it showed clearly that they had the item in stock but she rudely cut me off and fired back "you can't trust what online say!" After that, I decided to go find someone less lazy and more rational in the store, so I headed up to customer service. The girl there at least offered to "lookup" the item on her phone by going to Walmart.com and at this point I'm shocked that there's not an internal inventory app for the store that says how many of something they have? Nonetheless, she sends me back to electronics and I run into a manager. I explain I've been in the store for over 30 minutes looking for a hard drive that it shows they have and he too says "if we had it, it would be out here [on the floor]" and he offers to take me over to a clearance table which has like two dozen items on it, none of them hard drives. Needless to say I spent an HOUR in this store, got helped by THREE people and only ONE of them offered any sort of real assistance with searching for this item. What's more is the manager didn't make any effort to jot down the item number or anything so he could correct the miscount - the importance here is it's still going to show up on Walmart.com/Walmart's app if you search for it and they were the only store in town that showed they had it - so God forbid you drove all the way across town, you'd have some choice words for that electronics department employee or store manager. read more

Negative stars!!!! I go in to make a return with a receipt and they accuse me of less ethical things (stealing).. I paid cash for a few items which were never opened, you know the kind of packaging that virtually cuts you when you break through the plastic, yeah, never opened. They kept my @$$ waiting for over an hour, and they kept my product, and receipts while reviewing video. Mind you I rocked up to the store in my car, unloaded the products into a cart and walked straight into the front door. I earn a decent living, if I needed the freaking $170 that badly I would have returned the crap 3 weeks ago when I bought it. I know Walmart's policy and I was easily in that time frame. ...So this manager finally waddles up, look I don't judge, but she would have been a lot quicker if I dangled whatever her vice is from a string on a stick. I'm guessing her vice might be eating washing machines. Once she finally made it within spitting distance of the cashier she gives the ok for the return. Freaking kidding me?!!!! Can't you do that over the phone or your silly walkie-talkies?!! All this time is worth money,PERIOD. I've got things to do and my time is worth way more than waiting on someone else. The store was nice and clean. The employees for nonexistent well let me rephrase that they were there but we're not much help. I want in the store the garden section, I past shoulder to shoulder 4 different employees and not one of asked if I need any help. There was one female employee that I did pass she looked and smile but kept on walking. I stop at the store to look for fertilizer and possibly some Grass seed. As far as the garden section goes stuff was scattered all over the place I finally found the fertilizer & grass seed after about five minutes looking around the section. I got prices we decided not to purchase at this time I just didn't want to deal with the possibility of looking for someone to ring me up. It was too early in the morning and I have my 2yo with me. Friendly, very clean and not crowded. I love this Walmart cause there is never a long wait in line. Maybe cause it's really new.
