Worst customer service experience at this location. The front end person in charge was disrespectful, argumentative and created a hostile exchange with the cashier asking for help amd told me and my family that she did not care if we followed up with her manager and told them how bad she was acting to us. I think the cashiers were afraid of her and the front end supervisor went out of her way NOT to be helpful to us over a $5 dispute even thought we spent $175 in this particular transaction. I have some feedback that I hope this store takes into consideration. The service overall from their staff truly needs to be evaluated. There needs to be staff that is attentive to the guest. Payroll will only allow the amount of staff the business needs at certain times of the day I understand that. However, whomever is using up that payroll must perform their actual duties. As a guest, I shouldn't be looking through the infinite aisles for a staff member to assist me in getting a product I need. I shouldn't be interrupting a cashier from their conversation with another cashier and ask them if they are open to ring items up. I shouldn't be accused of not scanning a product when getting my receipt checked when exiting the store because the staff member cannot understand how to read the item codes on the receipt to determine if the item was in fact on the receipt. Take a second to watch and observe your team. How they work, how they interact and engage your guest. You'll be surprised with what you'll see and it'll help you understand whose in fact performing up to their core job responsibilities. read more

I've been shopping here weekly for years. Since the remodel, I have complained twice to in-store management. Nothing changed. I'm ready to find another regular weekly supermarket. My biggest complaints; 1. I spoke w the Produce Mngr- there were usually plastic bags closely available to put my produce and fruit in. Now, after re- model, I have to search for bags. I spoke to him 1 month ago and he assured me, they'd correct it. I am serious- I have to stop my shopping and go looking for plastic bags. 2. Lack of items they once carried. I'm not going to name them all, but one of the biggest frustrations has been no ricotta for at least 1 month. Why?? No selection of DeCecco pasta - maybe 2 kinds as opposed to a decent selection. No Silverfloss sauerkraut in a bag ( only jarred). Why? 3. Deli- ugh. Always have to wait now to be waited on. The emphasis is on on - line orders - staff are in the back putting them together and unaware there's a line waiting to be served. There were literally 5 store managers yakking in the produce dep't totally oblivious to the 4 customers waiting at least 15 minutes on line to be served. I was 3rd in line and approached them and asked- why is there no one working deli? This seemed to be a big surprise to them despite their standing less than 10 ft. away. One of them went behind the deli counter and did speak w a deli person to come out and take our orders. When she did so, she had all kinds of excuses and was defensive. All I wanted was a half of a pound of turkey; not any drama. It seems the focus of the store is more on 'goods' versus food. Certain meats have been sold out. Certain frozen foods they typically had available on a weekly basis are gone. It feels like management is unaware and uncaring of customers needs. If this doesn't improve, I will have to go elsewhere to do my weekly food shopping. read more

I use this Walmart generally 2 or 3 times a month. I'm a pretty old man and occasionally have mobility problems and need a motorized cart. They have more then 7 broken carts. Is it so hard for the worlds largest retailer to spend a few bucks and have 10 NEW motorized carts for shoppers who can't walk the store. A lady in her mid-80s needed one and I walked to a new one sitting unused way out in the center parking lot straight out the Grocery entrance. I then took the obviously new cart and went looking for her. She was very happy I cared enough to help her. At that entrance there were 5 carts with Walmart bags over the controls to show they were dead. I'm a old combat veteran who's disabled from my injuries. I didn't take the 100% disability rating compensation I was offered 60 years ago but I do need some help occasionally at Walmart to shop. Next time I go, I'll add pictures of all their bad carts. When I went on Friday 11/1/2024 they only had 2 working motorized carts. Are your Walmart customers so unimportant to you? I spent over $400 on this trip. Also, tell your managers to tell their workers to stay off their cellphones. No other retailer allows 95% of their employees to gab while supposedly working. You have some pretty good workers at 167 Northshore Blvd store in Slidell. To those minority of the employees, I want to say thanks. One last thing, stop checking my bags when I leave. I don't fit the profile of a crook and everything is sacked in Walmart bags. Your 'greeters' are no longer nice older workers but just disgruntled employees standing there. I guess hiring nice older and possibly disabled workers that Walmart gets tax incentives to do is gone with the wind. Now it's only disgruntled workers unhappy with their job 'greeting' customers and checking to see if 99% of your 'valued' customers are thieves. It's easier to treat people with dignity and kindness versus anger from hating your JOB. read more

I went to buy tylenol & mucinex for my very sick brother in need of it. The cashier gave me a very stressful time because i so called needed my id. Since when did you need an id to buy tylenol??!! She was very rude about it & wouldn't take my my digital id. I hope she catches a grip & walmart hire better people. read more

For 10 years, I just signed for my food delivery. Then a few weeks back, when my order came, the driver asked me for a SECURITY CODE! I checked my texts and emails---no security code. The driver said she would have to take my order back to the store, and issue a refund (which takes a week to 10 days)----so Walmart would have my money, and I would have no food. I asked the delivery driver when a code was required instead of a signature---she didn't know. I spoke to the delivery manager at WalMart---she didn't know. Walmart services suck! Their customer service both in store associates and representatives are terrible, delivery services, and pick up experiences are slow and almost ALWAYS miss something or are always lazy to shop the entire store and will just tell you something is out. I can then proceed go go into the store and purchase "the out of stock option". I will rather pay more and shop elsewhere. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with an expected issue every single time I shop pick up or delivery grocery option. Waste of time and money. 0 out of 5 star rating. read more

Customer service is at rock bottom, at least in the delivery department. My order was "delayed". Delayed means "not today!" evidently! I had to make two attempts talking to customer service, to find out when exactly the order would be here. No one knew for sure. The last CS representative said that I might better "expect the order to come the next day". He was making a guess at that. Someone from that store should've delivered my order, but they blamed it on the drivers. I just received an email stating that 18 of my desired products were unavailable, and that was at 10:24 pm! So, in actuality, no one had finished shopping my order until that time. Everyone blamed someone else, and no responsibility was taken. Sad. read more

What is there to say about this Wal-Mart, it's large but the merchandise selection is not up to par. I have left many times not finding basics that usually every store has. Items such as candles, crafts, and bathtowels& wash clothes are not in one location which really makes it hard to find items also. It takes so much time walking through checking every isle to make sure you have the ones you like prefer from the small selection. I do like the alcohol sections, they are huge and seem like I am in a liquor store. Jewelry not as big as the store in Picayune Mississippi which seems to usually have items in stock. Not sure why the sams items and great value are more than some name brand items. WalMart used to be a great idea, now they seem to take too many local small businesses and compete with them when it really would not be necessary! They got rid of price match. I loved Winn Dixie and other grocery stores, but everywhere a Wal Mart pops up the others shut down. The pharmacy takes some long and way too many times they just do not call if the script is not going to be filled, they wait instead until you get back in line and to the register to ask questions that should be addressed when the prescription was handed to them. Maybe I'm rude but I think a company this size should not be treating customers bad.we all have battles we fight and the employees are not paid well or given the hours they need to obtain benefits tO help families. Ten percent off of purchase without groceries is like taking a child to Disney and not letting them ride or meet characters. I know Walmart is known for not very good customer service, but there is one gentleman that works in the deli department that is always so nice. Its normally just one person working when I go and there is always a long line, but he doesn't get agitated at all. He waits on everyone, giving them his undivided attention and is always so pleasant to deal with. I wish I knew his name so I could put it here but I don't. The so called manager last night during the "Black Friday Sale" threatened us "do you see that police officer? I will have him escort you out of the store with out your merchandise" in which we stood in line for 3 hours to check out. I wanted him to know that the lines that he had made and redirected us to the back of the store so the main entrance could be clear was not the case he allowed another line to form right where he was wanting to stay clear all while other customers cutting through the lines and forming NEW lines and was allowing those customers to check out before us. Not a big deal "right" "WRONG" we were all waiting for so long and we complied with all of his directions and you can't even voice your situation to a manager and then he in turn threatens to throw us out, is unprofessional and lacking in any basic customer service skills. read more

This store just keeps going down hill. They are always moving things around and reorganizing the store but don't stay stocked with products. Employees run away when they see u shopping so they don't have to help you the lines stay super long it takes just as long to go thru the self checkout as a regular check out the automotive department lags it takes hours for them to do an oil change, and even longer for someone to decide to check you out back there. If you press the assistance button, they turn it off multiple times before deciding to come help someone. It's so bad I have decided to avoid Walmart as much as I can read more

Worst photo shop. Extremely rude and don't want to help you. That is if they are even there and not behind the counter. My order went missing and was charged on my credit card for photos I didn't even receive. I will never use Walmart and for digital prints. Horrible. read more

Did all my shopping and not one lane open to check out other than the "self-checkout" kiosks, my credit card isn't swiping so when I asked the person who watches over them who is supposed to help the answer was "Sorry, my register is closed" because there was a few of them chatting away. read more

Two employees very rudely banged on our RV at 3am "You gotta move! "You gotta move!" Was that really necessary? We were tucked in the corner of the parking lot and would've been gone prior to store opening. Being a faithful Walmart shopper for many years, this is a big negative I guess Walmart has become so big that it isn't concerned about public safety. read more

I called the Northshore Supercenter at 985 690-0123. I asked to speak with the manager. A male came on the line and identified himself as "the manager". I asked for his name, he said he did not have to provide his name. I said that I have been tricked into giving a complaint to a co-worker in the past. The coworker simply listens, then ignores the complaint to protect his/her friend. His answer was to repeat that he did not have to identify himself so he would not identify himself. I asked for the regional manager so that I might address HIS unresponsiveness. He simply stated, "Call 800 WALMART." and hung up on me. Needless to say, my original complaint was not taken and now I have another regarding Walmart management. I called the 800 number and it is beyond me how they will identify this "manager" since he refused to identify himself. My call was at 1600hrs Pacific Standard time. read more
