I was there today, 11/28/22, for curbside pickup and after waiting for 20 minutes we went inside to see if there was a problem with our order. We walk up to the curbside service area and as we're waiting for someone to help us, we notice two employees making out inside the area. This place is the worst! They're very messy and busy. Customer service is hectic. I placed a pick up order and didn't receive half of my order and didn't realize until I got home. I called trying to get through to the pick up department and to a manager. Called a total of 10 times each call with a 5 minute wait before the call was ended. Called customer service (option "0") and got a little bit of attitude, not terribly friendly. Told her what I needed and needed to do. She transferred me to electronics and it was dead air after that. I called back and selected "2" to bypass the customer service at "0". I got a hold of "Mike" who was very helpful. I let him know that an MD from the VA was coming over to grab something we needed at the hospital for working with Veterans who are stroke patients. More than helpful fellow. It's a super big Walmart. Its very well stocked with lots of hard to find items. But its pretty ghetto here. Items all over the place messy, crazy people. ( People need to put things back in place geeze!)vThe waiting lines are very very long. The parking lot is dirty. I think it depends on the time of day and day of the week you go out to Walmart! I try to avoid Friday and Saturday especially during rush hour any more. It's worse at that time! This is one of the only stores besides Paramount that sells my Chicken of the sea infusions! Like what is it with stores and discontinuing certain products?? Maybe no one else in the world likes them idk! But everytime I would try to find them, they would be out of stock and now they are not even stocking them much anymore! I also notice my Hersheys Dark Chocolate bars are hard to find as well. I find the ones with Almonds but yuck, who likes Almonds? Not me. Lol. I love the plain dark chocolate it's my favorite treat! I eat 2 a day and it helps me to keep my sweet tooth at bay except on my menstrual times, I eat 3 but I don't think it will hurt me! I'm way better than I used to be though. I used to be able to eat a whole bag of peanut m & m's the sharing bags by myself! Ya, I know I was an oinker right!? But this store is not that far away and it actually has stuff! I get through lines pretty decent when we wait for the line that seems the shortest! You just gotta go do self checkout and don't go too late. Sometimes they will shut down the self lines after a certain timing! I wish Walmart would stop doing that but the employees seem pretty nice and relaxed when we went there! Thank you this location! I understand that this Walmart has a high rate of thief of small items like Deodorants, make up etc. But only one employee has the key to open up the deodorant cases? If that employee is on break then that person should leave the key with another person or there should be a backup with the make up department that is right next to the deodorant aisle. There's a bunch of customers waiting here and people are leaving instead of waiting. I tried calling and they hung up on me they did not even say hello or hello Walmart this so ABC. Krystal the "Manager" here is literally the WORST. I can't even be mad at her minions, Susan and the other heartless, mindless "Customer Service" reps but they have harassing paying customers at the return desk. Krystal and her crew harassed, belittled and made both myself as well as the customers in front of me jump through hoops just to process a return, and that was WITH a receipt AND with tags on the items being returned! I've been in upper level healthcare management for over a decade and I would flat out FIRE anyone who behaved in a manner that even vaguely resembled their hostile and disrespectful behavior. Mr. Salas, if these are your brand ambassadors, the face of your store, then this store is a FAILURE. Why would I drive all the way to your store and pay to get abused and harassed when I can get 1 day Amazon delivery to my front door? The culture here is bad for business.. not just for this store, but for WALMARTS OVERALL REPUTATION. Treating your customers like trash is not only unacceptable, it should be UNTHINKABLE. And the attitude begins at the TOP and trickles down to the rep with the RBF that enjoys harassing honest, paying, loyal customers when they try to make a BASIC return by torturing them with a tedius and humiliating process as though a return must be EARNED rather than GIVEN. My return was for a total of just $12 with items that were totally unopened and I had my receipt scanned on the app. Why did it take 2 reps and a "Manager" - this is where Krystal enters the picture - to process my return? SHAMEFUL. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from Walmart in South Gate on Firestone Blvd ever again. In fact, let's just rip the band-aid off.. I'm uninstalling my Walmart app and will refuse to give Walmart any cyber business or branch business from this day forward. Horrible customer service Just got off the phone with grocery pick up whoever I was talking to was extremely rude unprofessional. I wasn't able to pick up my groceries on time so they told me I can either cancel or pick up in the morning and I chose to pick up the next morning, this employee made me feel like it was such an inconvenience and had a really rude tone when I asked her what options I had I regards to my groceries. I try to call him back the number for grocery pick up because she didn't tell me what time my groceries were scheduled for in the morning she basically just hung up the phone when I told her that I would pick up in the morning. Just came in to get some ibuprofen and it took them over 20 mins to help me. They have all the medicine locked up and only people with the yellow vest have the key. Maybe 30 rows of it. *not enough employees available to open up caged up items. & when they do arrive, they're rude. *they have 2 cashiers available and the rest are self check out. Talk about an order from jhell. We tried to order a product on wqlmart.com and after hitting "purchase" we immediately noticed they had the wrong address and one that's over 2000 miles away from us. So we hit 'cancel' right away but it wouldn't cancel, so we hit it more then we called customer service who told us we couldn't cancel an order that was going to an address across the Pacific Ocean from where we live. Then it gets weirder as they refused to issue a refund on a purchase we could never receive. This was Oct. 6, FedEx called that the package was indeed in Maui where we are not, so I again contacted Walmart to tell them so to no avail. We are working with our credit card company to cancel something that is clearly Walmart's fault. No way to run a business. Talk about raising one's ire and blood pressure. I hope the brass at Walmart takes notice of this. Beware customers you can cancel orders even within minutes of ordering. read more

This is the first time I've been to Walmart. I know can't believe it either not that I'm too good to go to Walmart just never been. I was looking for an item that I couldn't find anywhere but Amazon and Walmart and Walmart was quite a bit cheaper. So I ordered online for curbside pickup. This was the easiest shopping experience I've ever had. The parking lot was crowded and all I had to do was pull over to the curbside pickup. Although the phone number was busy and the mailbox was full, the delivery guys were going back and forth from other cars so I just waved one over, they took my information and got my package. All in all less than 10 minutes waiting time. If I ever have a chance to shop at Walmart again this is the way I'll do it. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I'm never going back. I shop at businesses is South Gate because this is where I live and want to support local businesses. I'll be going to the one in Downey going forward. I had to wait 15 min to get detergent pods that are locked up and then I couldn't put them in my cart. I was told to pick them up from register 14. Well after I finished my shopping I went 1 of 2 open registers (neither was register 14) The lines where so long and I was so annoyed I ended up forgetting to ask for my detergent pods. At the end of the day if I had put them in my cart I wouldn't have forgotten them. Buff up your security if there is a problem with theft. Same issue with anything in cosmetics. read more

I was so confused because the store closes at 8pm their reason was that the person who was scheduled to work called out... like ok? How does that become my problem?
