Can we all agree that this is the worst walmart in town? I had a curbside pickup yesterday between 2 and 3 p.m.; I checked in at 1:55 p.m., but no one arrived with my order. I saw an employee, and I told him I have been waiting for 40 minutes now and have not received my order. When he checked his scanner, he said, Oh, it shows that you're not checked in. I showed him proof on the Walmart app; it says, Someone will bring out your order shortly, so he went and got my order, and I was missing a microwave that I had purchased. He said the item got cancelled, and he didn't know why. He couldn't give him an explanation, but he said they had them in stock and I could purchase it in store. I said fine, I'll go. I go get the microwave and try to check it out, but it won't let me purchase it. An associate was also trying to scan my item, but they couldn't do it. They went to get a team lead, and she said they couldn't sell me the microwave because it was on recall. I said, How is it on recall, and you have a whole shelf full of them? By this time, I was pissed, and I told her how I had been waiting on my curbside order for 40 minutes. They told me I could purchase it in store, now this BS, so I asked if I could get another microwave and if she could honor the price, which was $60, and she said no, we can't do that. Usually Walmart employees are vey kind. stay away from the Southgate store, i have been yelled at, put down, and hung up on over the phone just for asking simple questions, this should be one of the stored that closes down. I have never had such a horrible experience at any Walmart in my 45 years of life, the store manager is also to blame since he allows his employes to act is such a disrespectful manner. I will tell all of my friends to never set foot in that store for any reason. Very disappointed, if I could leave no stars I would. These price differences once you're at check out are ridiculous. And to add to that I asked one of the employees if they could price match to the original advertised price which was a five dollar difference and they said that the manager told them they could not do that anymore. This is false advertisement, Walmart policies state they do price match. They told me to re-order it online and pick it up even though that's another thing their pick-up time for online orders are almost an hour to two hours of a wait time. Very unfortunate since I don't like coming to Walmart as it is because of the long lines and not enough cashiers available was in line for an hour. Don't come here! Go to target. Super Walmarts have a lot of stuff and I buy a lot of groceries in the rare instances I go. I am closer to Targets and the last Walmart I went to was the one in Burbank. I find things that I don't normally find in other grocery stores. I've stocked up on ready-made food and snacks this time, but few cooking ingredients. It could be cleaner in general. I haven't been to this Walmart since last month, but I hope by now they've been taking safety precautions. When I went last month, social distancing was non-existent. To be honest, with that many people in the store and it before the mask-wearing mandates, I'm really fortunate that I did not get sick (it's been over a month). read more

Had to put a star but in reality my review leaves 0 stars Ive been a walmart customer for a long time, especially after i had my son. Its a very economical place to shop for toddler essentials. Today i came into walmart to do a return and also shop around, as im shopping around for my items i was making my way to the kids book section which is next to the tv/ electronics section As im pushing my cart and walk pass the tvs that are stacked out on display they suddenly FALL and by 1in almost on TOP OF ME, if i wouldnt have moved quick enough for sure those tvs would have been on me, a female worker unfortunately i did not get her name asked me if i was okay and she kept asking which im so happy she was kind to me, then this male worker that was by the tv section standing i told him those boxes ARNT well displayed and they need to fix them because it could happen again ( mind you i said this with a very well attitude) and this guy was such a jerk and rude, he tells me ( its never happened) So i walked away, WALMART i dont care if its ever happened or not there is always a first time, and u need to train certain employees to not be smart mouths with customers especially when the customer isnt even being rude to them to begin with when i made my return i spoke with a supervisor and literally just felt like she just wanted me to vent so she can get going about her day i understand you guys r busy i understand maybe me complaining is least of ur concerns i use to work retail for 12 yrs i know what its like but as a customer who almost got SMASHED by big tv boxes and could have ended hurt u guys need to listen and so something incident happened between 11:30 am-12:30 pm on Feb 13,2024 check your cameras! theres proof. and please speak to that rude guy u can tell on the cameras who it was and i still made my purchase after this bad treatment to the girl who asked if i was okay many times ( i hope u get a better opportunity out there, this place doesn't deserve you ) read more

This reviews for the manager Lee, who handles the Sunday night shift To make it simple I came in with a huge issue. I had a very very difficult weekend when it comes in to Walmart, but overall after the interaction that I had with her today, she was able to solve the issue for me and go above and beyond, even though the store was really busy during primetime. I appreciate the composure, and the professionalism of the whole interaction, and at the end of the day for being able to solve it for me, it would be very nice if someone can be hired or assigned to help her because this location is just way too big for one person to manage not taking away anything from her service or her help. Let just start off with the store is dirty and the electronics associates are awful. Specifically Evelin, she was so rude and didn't help me at all constantly was giving me attitude and rolling her eyes. She honestly needs to get fired because I waited patiently 45 minutes for assistance and she just kept ignoring and helping other customers even though I got there first. I tried to make a complaint on every manager just blew me off and I got hung up on multiple times after I tried to call about the situation. read more

I was there today in the deodorant section and I asked a lady called Aleyda for assistance in giving me a deodorant since they're locked in she told me someone will come help me in a minute to just press the button which I already had. She was in her cart putting some things away I wait about 15 mins and this whole time she had the key to open the deodorant section and decided not to help me until she saw that I was still waiting there. I would like to say my experience each and every time I come here I litterally am shocked at this store and maybe its me or the area. We are in covid19 times one thing I'd like to say Walmart has stepped up all precautions durning this time. They have tents setup while waiting in line durning our hot summer months. They have curbside not sure on all details but parking is by Walmart Pharmacy side you will see number's where you are to park. Mask are enforced here, some employees wear gloves some don't. Restrooms are available here and kept clean on the regular if you have an issue let them know. This particular day I came in I was shocked to see more shelf bare and I shop Walmart as they normally carry everything I need or at least 80% of it. The store was lacking product in the produce section. The freezer, meat department that I believe I spent half the time I do when shopping. Now there seems to be like the cops are here often always an altercation of some sort here everytime I come and that makes my shopping experience to where I wish walmart shipped 100 % of everything otherwise I would not have to go in. Unfortunately we take up more valuable employee time now in cosmetics where there is this whole barrier and you still have a very long wait time as they maybe short staffed. I'm wondering if I am the only one who feels our shopping experience has totaled changed from pleasurable to I cannot cone up with a term. "Parking" plenty note tho do not drive near in n out area as that area gets jammed pack so I avoid turning that way and go towards petco and turn.. There is security for sure so walmart ford try to ensure the safety of all customers at there establishment and things are also handled in a timely manner! read more

I don't even understand how they're still in business. The floor manager is yelling at everyone to do their job and the workers are literally standing around talking and laughing while there's lines of 30-50 people at each cash register waiting. The employees refused to open the fitting rooms because "I don't have the keys". Okay, go get them, or get someone who does. Every time we come here the employees are goofing off. The store has nothing. It's always a mess; you have to watch the floor otherwise you'll trip on merchandise and good luck finding anything on the racks because it's literally just piles of clothing tossed on top of each other. The food is always expired or stale or soggy from here (sandwiches, salads, cold prep items) and everything in this store is just a mess. Jesus Christ himself couldn't save that store. read more

Earlier today @8pm I went to Walmart to get a car seat , I asked two guys working in the babys department if they have a certain car seat available since on their website it says they do. Tell me why he said; He does have it but can't get it from their back because it's whatever they're able to have on the floor and whatever's on the back storage they can't be grabbing.. that I must order online and then they'll be able to get it delivered to me since that's the only time they're able to grab items from the back stocks .How does that make any sense?? Where do I start? No prices on a lot of the items. Purchased an item that was to be $2.79, didn't notice the price scanned higher until after paying. Went to customer services where two employees working over their claimed they were closed. They pointed out the manager, a blond male who just said come back the next day. He spoke that no cashiers are trained to do returns and it requires a test. I don't care since ya'll marked the prices on items and are charging higher than the listed price. He was no help and it's sad because he's reflective of the service received on the floor. Check everything since they will cheat you on the listed cost. read more

$600 TV WTF is happening???. The order was made on November 8th and was supposed to arrive November 9th. The 3rd party delivery service you employ is horrible as well as communication between delivery service and Walmart customer service.. time is wasted waiting on delivery service with no way to contact them. Tracking shows driver en route then suddenly disappeared and later I'm notified he arrived at 9:24 am prior to 10:11am which was the time I was told the driver would arrive by. The app doesn't give me any other options for this delivery! Cancelling membership ASAP! Costumer service representatives are as helpful as they can be with Walmart's bogus policies... I blame corporate for being cheap and using an unprofessional 3rd party delivery service. Whichever company it is in South Gate that provides this service for that local Walmart. They NEVER answer the phones or pickup and delivery at this location! 4651 Firestone Blvd, South Gate, CA 90280 November 11th I attempted to pick up the television myself at the Firestone location, as I was advised to do by customer service and at the store when I was able to speak with someone, and was told that my order cannot be changed from delivery to pick up. Neither corporate or that location could change it. As I waited for the associate to return with more information I witnessed a independent delivery driver get assistance from a Walmart associate to put a 70-in television inside his Jeep, which didn't fit, so he placed it on his roof and tied it down. This is very irresponsible on behalf of Walmart and whoever they contract to deliver products. There is no reason why a big corporation such as Walmart is using third party delivery services such as Lyft and Uber to deliver expensive and bulky items, such as a 70-in television. It would be wise for Walmart to have their own delivery service and be provided with vans and trucks in order to deliver huge items to paying customers. I was supposed to receive my television 3 days ago when I received a notification from Walmart stating the delivery would come at 10:11 a.m. and while I tracked the delivery drivers vehicle on the website, I could see he was 18 minutes away, when I checked back 10 minutes later the tracking was no longer available and when I checked the Walmart app for the status it said attempted delivery at 9:24 and I was not provided with any options for redelivery or pickup via Walmart app. And the text I received from Walmart for the delivery does not contain a complete callback number when I receive the text back for help. I don't like to write bad reviews, but this instance deserves it. I had a curbside pick up. I got an indication the order was ready. (you have to drive around to the backside of the store) Upon arrival Input all my information what parking spot# and color of my vehicle - waited 1/2 hour no body came out, so put in three more times -- still no body came out. So called into the store. Seriously called 10 times curbside pick up - let it ring several times -no answer, so called other other extensions, no pick up. Absolutely nobody IN the ENTIRE store would pick up a damn phone call. I was afraid to leave my spot to go into the store and miss the delivery. I waited over 90 minutes for a curbside delivery!!!! Yea I know, if its too good to be true then its probably not there; herein lies my problem. I went to the electronics department and asked the lady at the counter if she could help me locate this laptop. Teammate looked up on their app and then told me that it was online only. I asked if she could please double check and she told me that it shows on her thing that its an online only order. Yes I can agree with some of these reviews . Store is always busy ,but wat store is not. Sometimes you gotta see past the rudeness and laziness of SOME employees working at Walmart. I understand sometimes that we as customers don't have the patience we're rude and expect everything then n there at the moment . I sometimes try to avoid heading out there for my necessities to avoid dealing with lazy associates , long lines etc.. On this particular day I went in for some items. A young lady caught my eye because I've never seen her so I thought she must be new. As soon as she notice me she walk towards me with a smile greeted n offer help I swear this was new to me. I've never been greeted,let alone help but yet this young lady did exactly that, not only was she very helpful and nice. She was Beautiful, her hair kept. Makeup nice. Her vest nice and clean. She gave me her thoughts and suggestions on items ,gave me her personal opinions on what would look nice in a dorm for my daughter. Since im clueless on what matches and what not. With the help of this young lady Victoria my daughter was set with her room and bathroom. I spent over $350 on everything including a small tv .my daughter loved everything victoria and I chose. I guess Walmart wasn't so bad thanks to Victoria. Thank you so much to this associate Walmart should hire more like her. read more

Really horrible customer service! My family decided to ask me for a Nintendo switch I decided hey why not let's go to our local Walmart and buy one! The Nintendo ended up glitching a lot, sound will go off and on, the remotes would work here and there so i told my lady and daughter no worries I will swap out the Nintendo! So I was told that the serial number doesn't match up and for all they know it's stolen! Told her with all due respect that's really not my problem I didn't switch this thing out so this product is coming back to Walmart just like I got it from here. So then when she was packing it back up I noticed that they wouldn't have been able to scan that barcode that she initially scanned so I asked how did they scan that bar code if it doesn't even match with the hole on the side of the box she was like idk but the serial number isn't correct so go through the manufacturer. so then manager walked up cuz at this point im pissed the fuck off and I told him it's impossible for you guys to scan that code through that little hole so what do you normally scan what barcode? bring another switch and let's see they pull up another one and I said that barcode looks nothing like the one your scanning I grab the dang box and see a sticker on the side with guess what!! The serial code so I told the girl listen not everyone is a thief you don't treat people like that you embarrassed me In front of all these people calling me a thief because you don't know how to do your job is not ok!! I'm writing this review for the delivery order where I just got some cotton kitchen set items (dish cloth, pot holders, etc) it was a small 5 piece set. Just one item, and the order said it was on its way at 6:52pm it's now going on 8pm, this is ridiculous this driver Larry has had no contact with me and when I had to finally call him he was very rude! He told me the GPS on my end is not accurate and said he had no idea when he will be there. He was so unprofessional and I'll be surprised if my order shows up even at midnight! My girlfriend and I went early to do some shopping for the week and while at checkout the people at register and bagging area dropped my coffee creamer on the floor and forgot to give us one of our bags which had our towels and some dog clothes we found at the store.
