I asked for a price change because my Pepsi rang up at the wrong price. The girl came over and I asked her to fix it she noticed I had scanned three of them and she went ballistic. She said "I don't know why you people would ring up all of them" at first I kinda thought she was kidding but then she just continued to berate us over and over again each time more emphatically. By the time she had changed all of them she was saying "my God some people are just ..." Honestly, I am still shocked that any business could be so careless to allow such conduct by any of their staff. It was an awful experience for me and my 92-year-old mother who was completely beside herself by the time we got out of there. I get that they are busy and it must be a difficult job but to resort to outright elder abuse at the hands of a Walmart employee. It is just outrageous! I'm giving them one star because there is nothing lower. Walmart shipped a package through FedEx here in Reno, NV but failed to put my address on it, all it had was Sparks, NV. So FedEx picked an address and delivered it to who knows who. I guess they thought some randon house looked like a good place to leave my package!!! When I was notified that my package was delivered along with a photo of someone's door... I called to ask where it had been delivered and that it wasn't my house. They said oh that happenes, there was no address so some house was picked. They couldn't go and get it because they apparently didn't know where they left it. And why they just picked a house to drop it off to remains a mystery!! So some unknown person got a free electric skillet and they have to idea why!!! FedEx still hasn't explained why they did this!! Walmart, who failed to put my street address on the package in the first plase had no clue as to what to do nor would they call FedEX to fix the problem. I finally got someone at Walmart that actually knew what they were doing and got a refund. However someone still has a package they never ordered for free!! read more

This is definitely not my favorite Walmart in the area... it simply is the closest grocery and/or department store to my home. When I really need a Walmart run for certain items I like to buy at Walmart, I actually drive past this one and into town for the one off of 2nd and 395. They have the best selections in town, are SO much better than this one and worth the drive, and have less tax because of being on the reservation's land. This Walmart can really irritate me and often does. You can expect them to be out of several items (even really common things like cilantro... often) partly because they don't have to refill the shelves in the usual time that others do (I had an employee even tell me this) and they very OFTEN push items together to fill in an empty spot on the shelves. This makes it so you can't figure out a first if they are truly out or if they moved it. The management needs a lot of work. It is usually relatively clean here and the greeters are really nice, but they usually do not have anywhere near the cashiers needed. I know Walmart isn't a high class store, but most are SO much better than this one. I think I am currently the duchess here, but it definitely is more because I need something quick and I don't always want to drive all the way into town. read more

I don't usually shop here but if I do it's out of mere convenience. Lines are long, slow, and many employees are lazy or inattentive to customers. They will be in the same aisle as you and not even acknowledge you. Come in here after midnight and expect to wait in a long line. It seems like there's never enough cashiers. Shelves are poorly stocked, especially in produce (which is usually not good quality either). Clothing was a disaster, everything was on the wrong racks and scattered everywhere. Needless to say it was hard to find anything. The lady tending to the dressing room was grumpy and you could tell she really didn't want to be there. And if you ever need anything? I called the store at least 10 times and no one picked up the phone so I finally pressed the deli line and someone picked up the phone and while I was trying to explain what happened the person on the other end stated that she couldn't help me in a very rude tone so I asked to speak to a manager so they could help me and she hung up on me. I only wanted to speak with someone because I had forgotten something at the store and wanted to ask if they found it. I can't stand this store and I don't want to support them anymore!!!! read more

I've only been in one Walmart nicer than this one and that was in Dixon CA. This one is a good Walmart, they always have the shelves stocked with the seasonal stuff a little too soon in my opinion making it hard if you're not ready to shop for it yet because by the time you are everything will be gone. One thing you will find here at this store and most any stores in NV is the employees are very friendly and fun to talk to. Nice change from the rude California stores I'm used to. read more

Walmart is Walmart. This one is a cleaner then some I've been into. Trey have greeters at the door. A lot nicer then a few out of state Walmart's I've been to. There is nothing special about this Walmart. Has the same things as other Walmart's like clothes, food, office, party, and more. The few things I don't care for here is staff. They are not helpful unless fo ores by tracking them down and asking. Sometimes they try to blow you off by saying this is not my department and I'll get someone who can help you. Then they never show. For some strange reason they don't have items I'm looking for. Have no idea why they would have it then not. Some of my encounters involve calling did something and they have it but then getting there, the product is nowhere to be found. If I could give this store a 0, I would. Always packed, 2 cashiers at any given time, with 5-10 people waiting in line. Forget about getting anything you actually need, you will have to find an alternative. Every time I go there the shelves are bare, making me wonder if there is any overnight stockers anymore. They don't stock enough, as they either have too much traffic or not enough staff. Now they make you stop at the door like Costco to check your receipt and cart of stuff. If I could give this Place A Negative Rating I would. This Place is Joke as They are always re-arranging the Entire Store on a Daily Basis. Nothing is ever in the same spot so it is an adventure just to find something as simple as toothpaste or mouthwash. They Never have anything in Stock yet the Entire Store is Prepared for Stocking as They have Their Carts in The Way all Over the Store. I scheduled a pickup from 11:00-12:00. I received a text at 11:19 that said my order was ready so I left my house at 11:40. I updated my app so it said I was on my way and would arrive in 8 minutes. I got to Walmart and waited and then called at 11:57 saying that I had arrived, even though the app says you don't need to call. I called twice because the first time it went to a voicemail. The person I talked to asked what space I was in, I told her 6 and she said someone would be out shortly. So I waited until 12:12 and called again saying that someone I talked to said someone would be out shortly but it had been 15 minutes.. the guy I talked to asked me to move closer to the doors so I moved to spot 2. Then I waited another 10 minutes and called again. I had now been waiting for 25 minutes from my first call and over 30 since I arrived! When I called the last time I explained to the associate "I have been here for over thirty and originally my call was 25 minutes ago, someone told me to move closer to the doors so I'm now In spot number 2, and that was 10 minutes ago" and she said "well you've only been waiting for six minutes" and I said "excuse me- I've been waiting for over 25 minutes since I last called AND I moved closer, I want to speak to a manager." And she said "No, it was six minutes and you're going to have to wait some people have been here for 40 minutes" and I said "Let me speak to your manager!"and she said "OKAY!!" Very loud into the phone. I said "excuse me?!?" Then a manager got on the phone (could have been her friend), I asked the associated name and she hesitated for a while and then said "Andrea" so I'm not sure if that was actually her name but I explained the whole situation and they said "okay I'll have someone expedite it and bring out your groceries." This nice girl came out and I helped her load the groceries and I said "is there a way I can speak to a manager?" And she said "a manager?" And I said "yeah, someone said I talked to one earlier but I'm not sure. But I need to speak to one" and she said she would go get a manager but came back and said her manager was busy. So they couldn't even bother to come help me. The entire experience was appalling and that associate needs to be disciplined. read more

Review on Bakery dept...I ordered a princess dress cupcake cake for my 3 yr old daughter 2 weeks ago. Went to pick it up today and the ladies behind the counter says it's not ready and that it won't be ready until 5pm (where I had pick up time scheduled for 2:30pm). They claim someone screwed up and my daughters cake is not ready!! They basically offered to do use one of those 1/4 sheet cakes that are out in front for a discount. Of course I had no choice since my daughter needs a cake!!!! My wife send me to this Walmart location to pick up pampers diapers from this store When I show up they told me to come back with my wife and her photo ID to pick it up:( to do that I have to drive an hour and take my wife along with my 2 month old newborn baby. I have online order number my wife's copy of ID we live under the same address..... Manager Karina told me the same and sent me home. This is second time I have been treated that way in this Walmart location. Today I left $40 change while going through the self check out. Not realizing my mistake for almost an hour I returned and was pleasantly surprised too find it had been turned in too customer service by the young lady stationed in the self check out area. My good friend Mary Lee has been interested in Self Checkout. I am a Checker at a grocery store so have been showing her the ropes. She went to your store the other day excited about the prospect of trying it on her own. She found she needed some Assistance but was told "That is why it's called Self Checkout" when she asked for Help. I am extremely disappointed that one of your employees decided to treat my elderly friend so "Shabbily". You will be well advised to take care of Our Senior Citizens since they make up about 50 % of your customers. The girl had dark hair, that is all she could remember, she was So Upset. Meh, I know it's a Walmart, but the customer service here sucks. First off, the layout of this store is crazy confusing. I'm always on the hunt looking for what I need, which in turn, takes up a huge chunk of my day. Also, don't expect most of the associates to actually know where anything is, or what the hell you're talking about. Not sure if it's a language barrier or if they sincerely don't know where their merchandise is. Very difficult to converse with about 95% of the staff there. Not my favorite walmart, would rather drive a bit further to the others in Reno than go here. They also never seem to have an efficient amount of lanes open, making it another torturous wait and making me want to stab my eyeballs out. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure we could entertain ourselves in a more positive fashion, than to get lost in this maze with no one to help you. If you're able to use the self checkout, go for it....might save some precious minutes off your life!! Get it together Walmart, none of us want to waste our irreplaceable days and time trying to find the things we need through this craziness.....and tell your employees to "cheer up buttercup" and at least act like they somewhat want to be there!!! read more

I really try to avoid Wal-Mart as often as possible, but sometimes I make a trip there and end up leaving pretty irritated. There are a few employees there who are extremely rude and make me seem like I'm such an inconvenience. However, there is an older lady with glasses at the check stand who is always so nice. Sometimes I am quick to complain but slow to say 'thank you'. Today will be a day of grateful thanks. The staff at Walmart are SUCH good employees it almost makes me want to go back to work! I did something unusual on 11/13/2021. The sight and smell of the cooked lemon chicken on my way to check out grabbed me. Even though it was early morning, it grabbed me so I grabbed it. It was WONDERFUL! The instructions as how to heat leftovers were perfect, and the very inexpensive chicken was very satisfying. I will say I miss Moody at the store on Pyramid in Sparks, NV. He was AMAZING. HR? Now, that was a different matter altogether. Dear Walmart, keep your good employees happy and fire the dictators. read more

This is a decent Wal-Mart. Nothing special about it. As with any other Wal-Mart, some of the employees are nice and some seem to be inconvenienced by your presence. They do not have a Tire and lube shop, but they do carry an extensive line of oils, filters, and additives at very reasonable prices. Perfect for the do-it-yourselfers. Their grocery prices are good compared to places like Savemart or Scolari's. I still prefer to deal with the hoards at winco for my weekly grocery needs. I can say from previous experience that the produce selection and quality is not the greatest. Overall this is a decent location to pick up any everyday items. read more

Never answer the phone. I did a pick up order and waited an hour and a half in a spot with two toddlers who were losing their minds. Said I'd never go back but gave it a few months. Did a delivery order trying the new Walmart+ and my order was supposed to be delivered between 12-1. It's now 6:15pm, still no order and corporate can't even get them to answer the phone and has no idea what happened. I've actually reviewed this location before, but there seems to be a duplicate entry in Yelp so I'm just going to cut and past from that review and call it good. Savvy? (oh and word to the wise: this store is in SPARKS and not RENO as the incorrect address would have you believe). Where I would have given the Damonte Ranch Walmart 3.5 stars, I would give this one 2.5. But I feel it errs more on the side of acceptable than not so I bumped it up to 3. I love the location of this Walmart. It's near a lot of shopping that we find ourselves partaking off on a regular basis. So when we need to pick up some groceries or want to shop around for the sort of things one can easily and cheaply find at a Walmart, this location does the job and does it well. It has a nice layout, is a clean and well organized store and I've never had any specific problems. I don't really like the parking lot here. It tends to be a tangled mess. The entrance has you driving clear to the front of the store and then funneling into the portion of the parking lot you want to park at from there. It causes a good deal of bottlenecks and frustrated shoppers. There's a McDonald's inside, which is preferable to a Blimpies but is rather predictable. However, when you want to reward your child with a McFlurry for not having a conniption in the produce section while you shopped, it does the trick well enough. It's nothing to get excited about but it is also nothing to really complain about. It is what it is. I never choose to do my "big" once-a-month grocery shopping trip here, but for more casual shopping, I like it pretty well. read more

On 6-16-18, at approx. 8:00 PM I phoned the WALMART in Sparks, NV to find out if they carried any Sugar Free Bakery Products. I had already spent over 3 hrs. calling every Bakery, Donut Shop, etc. in the Reno & Sparks area only to find out no one carried any Sugar Free Cakes, Pies, Donuts, etc. At this point, I didn't care if I had to put a Birthday Candle on a Sugar Free Cupcake. When I phoned WALMART I spoke with SANDRA IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. She was extremely Professional, Knowledgeable, Friendly & Helpful. She went Above & Beyond the Call of Duty & walked over to the Bakery & then checked the Sugar Free aisle to assist me.The fact that WALMART has the largest selection of Sugar Free Bakery Products & Snack Items over all Highly Impressed Me. SANDRA's Outstanding Attitude, Her Excellent Customer Service Skills & Obvious Love of Her Job makes SANDRA one of the 'Best of the Best' & A Very Valuable Asset to WALMART.
