Surprised they are open 24 hours.! My wife and I stopped in to grab some items for our son's new apartment for his last year @ ASU. This store has everything a full size Superstore has in a smaller footprint. Got everything we needed and a couple things to eat. There were so many people there and of all types.. Young couples with kids and couples without. It was like date night for us, enjoyed every minute. The employees were very helpful. Helping us find various items and even measured a toiletseat cover! I don't like self check out but my wife made a game of it.. There was a security guard and a police officer speaking to some folks but everything was orderly.. This is a real neighborhood store..when I come up from ASU and need anything.. , I'll be getting it at this Walmart .. Thanks! read more

If you want to waste your time with fewer options and lower quality food go to this Walmart. It was absolutely useless. They have probably 1/4 the selection of Fry's across the street and probably 1/15th the selection of a normal Walmart. Don't waste your time. They don't have what you are looking for. read more

It's a smaller version. Same general selection of stuff, just not all the brands of a larger Walmart. You can zip in and grab a gallon of milk and not have to walk a mile. But if you want imitation crab meat, they don't have it. Bummer. read more

They had what I needed and really helped me out in a pinch on a return item. Store was almost bare in so much college stuff after all the students moved in past week. They were restocking that night. Glad I shopped mostly on the outskirts, but this store had most of what I needed on my last minute shopping the night before I left. read more

Just moved here from out of state. Wallet was stolen w/ID, ATM cards,credit cards. Had my checkbook and they refused without an ID. Showed them my drivers license pictures w/clear pic and info from my Iphone and they still refused. Shame on walmart! read more

I have been going there and the prices on the shelf are Different when you scan the price sometimes I catch it and sometimes I don't until I get home if I look at my receipt I know I buy that chocolate milk and it said $1.19 many times I've been charged $1.48 yesterday when I went there I looked at the price is still set $1.19 and I didn't realize it until I decided to check my receipt after I was on the phone talking to my friend tell them I eat my cereal with chocolate milk and it it made me rethink I will look at my receipt my receipt said dollar 48 few pennies but is the thought counts this happened to me before with some soup so I bought the super supposed to be on sale for a book I paid 250 I love that girl I keep at it go all the time I'm tired of doing that so I went back to the store for my little pennies to be refunded it was a long line to wait and so I said and so I told her manager. I know when I pulled that half a gallon of chocolate milk from the store I looked and the price was $1.19 well with myself and the manager walked to the shelf there is a pretty little yellow tag to sit $1.48. I give this store 5 stars! The customer service I received from manager Kenneth was outstanding!!! I was in desperate need of an air Mattress and he took me to the home department where they were located. He filled me in on the return policy and helped me with my questions. At first I couldn't find the mattress I wanted and he kindly took me to the sporting goods department and THERE IT WAS... the Mattress i wanted. Thank you Kenneth for your excellent customer service! It's a good Walmart. It's one where you can quickly get in, pick up what you need and get out. If you are looking for the most variety of all the WalMarts - you are probably best off going to a bigger WalMart. This one is not always fully stocked. However, for how many times I use it - it really helps me get what I need and move on. read more

I had a very bad experience at this Walmart this weekend. I shopped Saturday and bought some fiber one bars. When I got home and went to eat one it was rancid! The box had been expired for two months. When I went to take it back the employee did not apologize or care that the store sold me expired product. To me that is pretty tacky and deserves and apology. Then I bought some produce. The cashier did not say hello to me or say anything for that matter, and then she forgot to give me my change. I had to remind her, then wait for the lady behind me to be finished being rung up before she was able to get it for me. All this would not have been a big deal had the employees been friendly!! read more

There are several WalMart's I go to on a regular basis and this one is in one of the nicer neighborhoods, yet there are WAY more sketchy people loitering around outside than at the WalMarts I go to in poorer neighborhoods. From a selection basis, the selection is ok--like 3 stars, BUT I find there grocery section is especially terrible which is aggravating. Staff often acts like they don't care too. read more

The Deli is horrible . At 12 noon they had three pieces of chicken and I asked for all three that were not spicy and I got spicy and burned my mouth. How do you not have food ready at lunch time ? Will still shop their but will go to Frys across the street for my Deli needs . read more

Ok, where to begin, it's Walmart not much surprise in this store decent prices and selection, not as big selection as other Walmarts, but it is a smaller store so that's fine. Most of the staff are friendly compared to other Walmarts in Tempe. The employees are much slower in this store, however, and no matter what time of day I go in, even late at night (I live less than a mile from this store) there is always a long line. The parking is really bad here to, not many convenient spots (I always park in front facing Southern) and people are ALWAYS speeding in this lot. Overall it's a decent store as long as you have time to wait, as you will be waiting in a long line, and can deal with the parking lot. read more

Was greeted by an unfriendly employee telling me I couldn't get a picture because it was "professionally taken and copyrighted" even tho we told him multiple times it was ours and had permission. He then went on a 10 min rant about how he is professionally trained to detect a "professionally" taken photo (mind you I could've taken this same picture with an iPhone 3GS). I have shopped in this store a few times and have always been quite satisfied. I never expect the same selection as is found at the Supercenter Walmarts because it is a smaller store. Service has always been friendly and helpful, especially their customer service dept. And, a little known secret: on Black Friday, when everyone else is lined up outside the Supercenters, most folks don't realize that this smaller store also gets it's share of the big ticket sale items, but without the lines and better parking. read more

Has it's ups and downs. With the exception of a few employees, they are very rude and if you look like you need help they run past you. I was almost walked into several times by employees, but never hear excuse me. I've even spoken to one and was ignored. It's a shame though, I like the size of the store. If you just need to run in and out, it's like a Walmart convenient store. Parking is horrible on the weekend unless you go really early and the staff doesn't seem to be knowledgeable about the departments, like they move them all around and they don't have the opportunity to learn one specific department. I just moved to Tempe last week so only been here twice but pretty sure I will not return. My first time was early in the morning during the week, a ton of employees and aisles blocked but I could tell they were probably opening or remodeled so not a big deal. But oddly enough aisles today were still blocked tons of employees everywhere and STILL stocking shelves! I navigate through the the aisles, customers and boxes(very aggravating) finally finish and go to 1 of the 2 checkouts open. Well they had issues so after a few minutes I packed my cart back up very calmly and went to the 2nd open cashier. Well she was carrying on talking to some lady who was visiting or she used to know or something so they are just chatting away, not amused. Then a nice employee approached me as they were opening a 3rd checkout. Cashier was nice but she was into what other cashiers were doing and the lady who was visiting and was not in a hurry at all. I finally leave, then I'm approached by a voting person as I'm trying to empty my groceries, again not amused. I then realize the cashier never gave me my receipt so I can't even scan my receipt to see if I got any cash back:( read more

I will NEVER step foot in this Walmart again! I had 3 packages of photos developed here, they were of my dog before he died and the last ones I had. I asked them to hold them until when they came in, and they stapled a note on the front of the package to HOLD with a phone number to contact me. One month later, I went in today to pick them up and they informed me, they destroyed them. NO phone call, no contacting me whatsoever!! What gives them the right to just detroy something so personal that cannot be replaced????? They had all the information to contact me they needed before destroying them!! I have shopped here for years, but now TARGET has all my business. If you are smart, you wont take this chance with your photos...just some advice from someone who is heartbroken and NOTHING can replace the pain.
