By far the worst Wal*Mart I've ever encountered, they have solicitors outside that try to grab your children as you go by if you ignore them, customer service is non-existent. They did a great job remodeling the store but it's still very unorganized. I read more

Worst customer service ever. We waited for 45 minutes in the furniture department to have a futon taken to the front of the store for loading. We asked 4 different employees and they responded with I'll have someone right with you. 45 minutes later.. Nobody! So finally a manager walks by and says "as soon as he's done in the fishing section he would send his guys over to help"... another 15 minutes later. Nobody. So guess what!? My wife grabbed the huge heavy box n decided to drag it all the way up to a register. To our surprise a kind man behind us lifted it up n placed it on to a basket. He said it should've never taken an hour to get help. I love walmart but not this one! read more

This place always bums me out. There are times when I have to go to WalMart (when Target or Costco doesn't have what I need), and every time I do, my good day gets just a bit more sour. It's not the store, it's the people. The workers and the customers are always unhappy. Cheer up, WalMart! On the other hand, this place is always well stocked. We stopped in here this morning (Sunday) at 8am to use the bathroom. We were greeted by the friendly woman at the door. We weren't greeted when we went to the San Leandro location even though there was a guy there. I ofcourse HAD to look around real quick even though we needed to get back on the road. I was only able to glance at the clothes while walking to the junk food section. There were some cute tops! I wish I had time to actually look at all the racks and buy something. Grabbed a few things and went to the checkout counter. I don't know the store hours but they must have just opened cuz the cashier told me her terminal was still loading up. The sections I was able to look at were fully stocked. Great prices! When I was in the car in the parking lot eating my breakfast while waiting for my friend who was still inside, I saw this pickup truck parked near me with his car running. I looked away but had to look back cuz I had this eerie feeling that someone was staring at me. The guy in the driver seat was staring at me nonstop. I looked away and my friend got into my car right then. I told her about that guy staring at me and she said that when she was walking to my car, he kept staring at her too. Weird. There was a HORRIBLE smell when we were walking to and from my car. It was the awful smell of manure. My friend told me they use it in the fields to grow things. I don't know if the smell is always there or not. That smell lasted for quite awhile when I was driving away. I think I had such a positive experience cuz we were there so early and no other patrons were in the store. There's a McDonald's in here just like the one in San Leandro. I won't eat in it cuz of my experience in SL. I will definitely go to this Walmart store the next time I'm in the area. I'll make sure I have time to browse around the whole store. read more

Its an alright walmart. Very typical. Sometimes there are rude people. One thing i don't like is there are only about 3, lanes open at night. Good thing about this walmart is they take manufacturer coupons as well as the penny savers and they price match as well you just have to ask. read more

So I got an xmas tree and the top lights weren't working properly. I said screw it and left and improvised because I didn't want to take it down and hassle with the process again. I saved my receipt because of the 90 day return policy. I go 34 days later and they won't allow the return. They don't accept holiday returns after the holidays. Interesting because that policy is not posted anywhere in the store. Not in customer service, not in the holiday department, registers anywhere.  So the shift manager, who came out with attitude has the audacity to 1-refuse the return with a receipt 2-Literally pulled the " return policy "(which looked like a basic ass word doc) out of a DRAWER and try to show me a highlighted area . I'm like "Are you kidding me?!" Then another cs worker has her nerve to ask me why I didn't return it earlier- uhhh because I work full time, mom full time and I just didn't have time... then when I ask how to contact corporate, rudely I am told "1800 Walmart " at this point I was just done.... oh yeah, they told me to contact the manufacturer  When I called corporate and complained, they even stated that policy should be posted, so now I'm waiting for the store mgr to call back. After this, I might just not shop there at all. Not that they care, but staff needs some serious CS training. read more

I went here earlier this month to do last minute (funny right?) Christmas shopping just a few things here and there for relatives and since it was re-modeled I found things I needed prettty fast. As I checked out at the register..a gift card I bought didn't ring up properly and the cashier ran it again, she was confused and called a manager..she didn't know what she was doing and disreguarded the transaction and made it so that the reciept didn't print. She called one of the store managers (i dont know HOW many you need for a reciept to print out) He said he'll figure out what went wrong on the computer somewhere.. so they went to another room. HALF AN HOUR LATER.. the two managers come back with ANOTHER manager and explained that the first manager pressed something wrong and they only needed to press one button to print out the reciept and the gift card did go through as well. I stood in line from 4:03 to 4:33.. waiting for someone to press ONE button?! apparently it took 3 managers to figure this out. Oh well..I was very patient and didn't complain..and they said sorry so I guess its fine. ALSO I went there yesterday to check if they had this cruiser bike ($84!!) that I've been wanted for a month now and..they didn't have it..so I ended up buying it at big5 for $100. Wal-mart you failed me!! so upsetting. lol read more

Why is the return policy located nowhere on the receipt? I go to the store to return something the husband purchased with his card and I can only get a gift card (even though I have the receipt) because the card is not present. Lady says they changed their return policy recently and the card has to be present. Well, where is your return policy posted? Manager says it's posted online and on a sheet of laminated paper at the customer service counter. There's nothing posted on the wall nor on the receipt to refer you to the website to see new return policy changes. The checkout counters should mention or post where the return policy is at minimum. The return policy at Target is much easier, more convenient, and less of a hassle. Every time I come here I'm reminded of why I don't like to shop here. read more

It's what you'd expect from a regular Walmart, except its a "Supercenter". Only main difference is the size of the structure and larger amount of products. The display racks on the west end of the building (Greeting Cards) are pretty nice! They are also expanding as mentioned in previous comments, including the newly re-designed electronics area... YAY. The wife and I bought 2 brand new 26" mountain bikes for $69/each!! WHAT!??? are you kidding!?? AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I have never just been able to grab a bike off the rack, roll it out and ride it when I get home, no 5 hour assembly! WOOHOOO!!!!! Cashier "rosy" asked my my I'd for superglue. Without asking why she proceeded to let me know that I might sniff the glue. What the actual hell? She even help her hand up to her nose to imitate someone sniffing glue.... so rude. I would never use drugs much less a superglue that I need for crafts. She was sure to make me feel like a homeless bum that would do anything for a fix. Also went here a week ago for a pregnancy test... locked up. Needless to say, I went somewhere else for it because why would I find one of these bummy associates that always put their 2 cent in, to get such a personal item for me? read more

When I was in Tracy, shopping at this Wal-Mart...was a big pain. It can become a big mess at times both inside and outside. Not exactly the friendliest Wal-Mart I've ever been in, but driving in and out of this one can be hectic at times. Also, I think this Wal-Mart is somewhat behind the times. Most Wal-Marts I've been into have self-checkout lanes. This one did not have any, and checkout service is utterly slow. Why don't they open ALL of the registers instead of just three or four places for everyone to pay? Oh yeah, there's a newspaper guy outside of Wal-Mart that is hawking free newspapers from the San Joaquin Herald. He also pressures people to subscribe to it in a not so friendly way. I don't mind a free paper (there's coupons and store flyers in it, you know), but his persuading techniques didn't work on me :) Overall, until the Supercenter replaces this Wal-Mart (that could take a LONG while), go to Target or another Wal-Mart instead. read more

She said ...you order nuggets only. I was likes... why on earth I order nuggets only when my daughter asking for fried! I go here for the connivence factor really. They have a wide variety of different things from electronics, clothes, toys, baby supplies, toiletries and food. The isles are usually pretty clean. However, the staff isn't very friendly. Lines take forever to get through mostly because out of the 20 check stands they have available only 2 are open. read more

Ordered a Walmart gift card and had it shipped directly to a friend as a gift. It arrived USED!!! 10 days later and 2 calls and Walmart still can't figure out how to send a refund or new card, nor can you talk to anyone in the 'gift card department' who can fix the issue. Something needs to be done about the new system in Walmart (Tracy California)where everything is locked up from soap bars to bath wash to make up. As I stand here I see so many angry customers waiting for Product to be unlocked. We're talking about items that cost as little as 3.50 dollars. They are losingcustomers. I for one will not wait for somebody to open something up when I can go to another store and pick it up and buy it. Even if I have to pay a little more I will do that. It is not worth the frustration and I hate seeing how your employees are running around stressed out and being yelled at by customers. You do not have enough employees in this department to work the system the way it is being ran. If only I could videotape all these people and all their comments you would see. Worst phone service ever. Called to find out if sell glucerna shakes. Called 5 time pressed different number to get help from different dept. every time went to same lady in fitting dept. finally spoke with someone who was going to go check price she never got back on phone was on hold for 10 mins or more and could here everyone talked in the back ground. Eventually I got hung up on. Then I called again the same fitting room lady answered, transfer me to pharmacy manager which help me out in less then 2 mins with my answer. I came in to pick up an online order at 7:50pm. I walked to "customer service desk" waited patiently in line as the employee was with another guest. As I was waiting other employees were sorting out reshops/gobacks/the stuff that needs to go back on the shelves, on the other side blocking off the "pick up" section. There was no employee behind the register at the "pick up" side. Once the employee finished with the return she said "NEXT!!!" I told her I had a pick up. She than rudely said "this isn't pick up" and looked at the other side, where they were sorting the carts of go backs. And said the sign says "pick up over there." As if I didn't see that. I told her there was no one there and they were sorting. So I went to the other side where she had me wait for someone else to help me. I waited. The man who helped me was polite but the lady who shouldn't be at the "customer service" desk shouldn't be there with the awful customer service she gave me. Truly disappointed. This was my first time trying the order pick up online. Employees like that are the reason why people prefer to use AMAZON. At least with AMAZON you know they have great service and quick response with questions or order concerns when using their chat option. I try to support retail employees but employees like the woman I encountered will soon be a thing of the past. Walmart retrain your employees on customer service and remind them if it wasn't for us they wouldn't have a job. read more

Although people would still come, I would not recommend this Walmart to anybody. Their staff is rude and unwilling, solicitors almost every day (I don't mind that too much) but overall their service is just ridiculous Ex 1 ordered a item online, the SERVICE REP gave me the wrong item. Upon return of the wrong item given they REFUSED to give me the right item (that I had ALREADY purchased) to replace the wrong item that he had given me. They wanted to charge me more for an item that I already purchased. Best of all, this was a MANAGER that I was talking to. After so many denials of replacing an item that they wrongfully gave me they finally decided to give it (I told them to refund me and I buy re-buy it online in front of them). Ex 2 a couple weeks ago I was in need of my new hunting license, after asking for help; no service for at LEAST 45 mins. Ex 3. 20+ registers, 5 open at a time. (No surprise though) In summary this Walmart has the worst service you could possibly think of, I recommend OTHER Walmart's. But as of THIS Walmart, I would not recommend to anybody. read more

The extra security on dove soap and everyday home items is ridiculous - and very, very slow at that. I don't understand why it's only this Walmart location that does this. I don't understand why all the little things are behind a locked cabinet and when you ask for it they still have to put the item in an anti-theft box then bring it to the front of the store where you have to request for the item. What if I forget about what I have in the front because I'm no where near ready to check out. What a complete waste of time especially if what that item is I really need. read more

This is about their auto service center. GF took her Kia in for the oil change and service check, 2 weeks later the car will not start. Dead as a door nail. Found clamping nut on the ground post of the battery so loose it was about to fall off. So either bone head loosened it, didn't tighten it back up or didn't notice it was loose. This could have left her dead on the side of the road anywhere in northern california. And I know checking the battery is one of the things you do during a service as you try to sell the customers a new Wallymart battery. I am not amused Walmart. read more

Tracy Walmart is the absolute worse Walmart in the area (Livermore and Manteca). Produce is out of stock by the afternoon. I have never seen a Walmart that is out of so many items on the shelf on a regular basis. However that is not my biggest problem, how many sections of the store need to be in locked cases? I understand items like alcohol, baby formula, or printer ink, but Laundry Soap? Bar Soap? and the last straw mens underwear?! To make matters worse you have to find an employee to unlock the case, after that employee has to find another employee with a key! Then you might not be allowed to hold the item because it must be secured and sent up front! This is not a pleasant shopping experience. read more

If here is zero star I will give and go minus if possible , No return for a regular non electronic merchandise after only 3 days I got it, Tha support manager "Anna " told me to go try to return to another store if the will take it they will take it but we have no return policy.
