Worst Walmart location I've been to. Let me start by saying they have hundreds of shopping carts that you can't even use. They're either locked, missing a wheel, or don't even work at all. It's very crowded, I know most Walmarts are, however it's so hard to get through different departments and they store layout is much different than the other ones. read more

Ok went here last night to get a crate for my dog ,no steel ones for my Dog who is 14 lbs .on line that have one my dog size $18.00.dont have these in stores only for 30lbs & up. Ghetto and distinguishing! Staff is horrible, it's way too crowded; not worth the good prices

This place is a mess. If you are visiting it after 9PM the place is turned up side down, products laying around everywhere and on wrong spots. Staff feel like at home, going around cursing at each other and with each other. At automotive section, one employee was unpacking some stuff and he pumped up the volume on stereos, that it was impossible to stay at the isle. I had to return one item I bough and it took me 20 min wait time, and I only had 2 people in front of me. read more

My very first visit to a Walmart Store! Ugh! The store has very small isles, crowded to the point of suffocation, and boxes piled all over the place. The checkout lines were dreadful. OMG! I feel so validated reading all of the reviews shared about the worst Walmart I have ever experienced. In fairness, I think most of the great Walmart experiences have been upstate or out of state. Walmart out of state can be an awesome experience. Walmart in Green Acres mall is the other extreme; one of the worst shopping experiences you will ever encounter. My last straw was about 2 years ago. Everything about this store offends. The aisles are tight and often crowded with unpacked pallets. It was horrible when the added fresh produce because the store was then full of rotting fruit and flies. Most of the staff is extremely unprofessional; beyond unprofessional. However, this is the fault of management and the Walmart chain. In the early days, I complained to district managers and even wrote to corporate. It is clear that nobody cares about the shoppers and their experiences. The saddest fact is that even after an employee lost his life, this Walmart has done nothing to make this store a safer and better experience for its shopper. read more

Unlike the other reviewers i really dont have any issues here lol i dont understand why so many people are bashing them?i always have a pleasant experience here,i espec. love the toy dept AND most of all the food market!its not Toys r Us obvi but they usually have the latest hottest toys for kids,well organized w low prices,Bike dept is pretty awesome too,pick out your bike,pay and ride it home if you want!Lol already put together!plus they carry all the bike accessories you need,Now onto the grocery dept, (one of the few Walmarts with one!) it's awesome,better then a regular supermarket because they're prices are slashed, The only negative is they dont carry certain specialty products but you can totally stock up despite,deli dept. in house too!and all the staff were friendly and helpful,all working hard,stocking and organizing! Love the clothing dept espec for my kids and lastly the lines,yes they are long because everybody is looking to save money,after all thats why you go to Walmart in the first place,but the lines do move expeditiously and again, cashiers were friendly and they bag up all your stuff, aaand parking isn't to crazy except weekend rush but if thats the case ill just park at other end away from the chaos and get some exercise. It's the closest Walmart to where i live. Usually it's chaos in there due to the amount of people but when you couple it with lack of inventory on the shelves it's even worse. The staff is pretty good and try to assist. It's the only Walmart i see them struggling to put items on the shelves all throughout the day. Most are fully stocked and no issues with items. read more

Oh God! This Walmart has to be the worse I ever been too, horrible customer service , lack of items on the shelf's , and long lines even on a weekday. I come here only when I need something last minute and try to go on a weekday when it's not too busy. I travel out of state frequently and love browsing thru Walmart and taking my time shopping this location is just in and out no way I am staying more than 20 mins. (Sometimes you need 20 mins to wait on a line to cash out though ) I went in last Friday morning for some last minute items for an upcoming trip and a the customer service rep in the jewelry department had the most disgusting attitude , idk where Walmart finds it workers but the woman with a strong West Indian accent and short blonde hair needs to be fired. I asked her for help pricing out an item she looked at me up and down like I owe her money or something , do your job , if you don't like it then leave ! Don't bring your attitude to work ! When I asked if I can pay for my items since it was in the jewelry department she walked away and asked another associate to cash me out . Wow! No explanation needed . Since they expanded this Walmart and made it into a Supercenter there are more options in terms of food and deserts but all the good stuff is gone by the time I get there . I went there for the first time to buy a new vacuum. The whole store seemed in disarray. I have been to several Wal-marts, but this was by far the worst. The whole store seemed dirty and disorganized. Even the lines to pay were a living nightmare. I wasn't even sure how to find the end of the line. This store could be a lot better. read more

I do not know how this company stays in business!! I ordered the Haier ESAQ408P Serenity Series 8,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner with LED Remote Control for a great price of $251.00. It was supposed to be shipped to the Valley Stream store by June 6. Well, it's June 7, NO DELIVERY. So I called customer service and they said something went wrong with my order, I would have to cancel my order and re-order it again on line. Now the same machine sells for $429.21 and says OUT OF STOCK. This is a scam to make you order thinking that you are going to get that great price. BUT YOUR NOT. I will never order from them again. So I recently came here to pick up a gift for my mom. When I arrived at the pick up center, a bunch of workers stood around the cashier speaking to themselves and on the store phone. I wasn't really sure who the heck to speak to. When the girl got off the phone she helped me and I did receive what I came to pick up. When I looked at the box on the counter, it's ripped open and the sides of the box are falling apart. Like? How am I supposed to give this as a gift? Did I pay for an open, broken up box? No, I don't recall. When I brought this to their attention all they did was shrug and said it was like that. I checked to make sure the product wasn't damaged but I had to take it because it was a last minute gift. I'm just baffled at the fact that none of them tried to look for an alternative solution. It was either take it or don't. If you're going to have workers, at least make sure they're competent and not a bunch of kids with attitudes that lack customer service skills. If you place your order before 2pm you can pick it up same day. I placed my order at 12noon and I'm getting bs about them closing at 8pm. Of course no one is answering the phone because they want to leave on time and conveniently no manager answers the manager line either. Great customer service. Their outsourced customer service representatives have NO freaking clue on how to look up questions, work their computers or transfer calls. Even their supervisors are boggledwith questions as simple as, What was charged on Cardin a specific day, knowing exact amount . I recognize that people in the Philippines and Sri Lanka need employment and that Walmart makes out well dodging America 's minimum wages but WE are their consumers and my time is valuable, as well as my money. Ofcourse its Walmart - you can get everything, just time it right !! Try to go on weekday afternoons/evenings. That way everything is available. Anytime from Thursday untill monday is a mad house - many items are picked and there are very long lines. Staff is generally friendly and will help. Managers - Not so much ! read more

So no one in the entire store, including the STORE MANAGER, is capable of cutting fabric and using a scanner to print a ticket for purchase. What sort of riduiculous incompetence is that? After pressing for assistance 25 times and having 5 people who passed by page for assistance, no one ever showed up. 25 minutes later, I cut the fabric myself with the help of another customer. At the register, because there was no printed ticket, and no one aside from the person who was not scheduled to work today could do it, Wal-Mart had to forfeit a sale. I had to leave with out a much needed piece of chiffon. I don't know who is training those managers but that big inarticulate idiot needs to be retrained or replaced. read more

It's your average Walmart. It's a very busy spot and it can get overwhelming. If you don't have patience better to come as early as you can muster. Surprise, surprise, went to the supercenter recently during the week and to my astonishment it was not as bad. Things were quiet and I was able to purchase what I wanted and head out. Lines were not too bad early morning. Staff is still not helpful. I hope someone from Walmart's management team is reading these reviews and improve staff performance and make an effort to keep this store clean. Employees must be trained in good customer service. I don't think I would venture into that store on a weekend. read more

Corona Virus Update - They only allow entry on the pharmacy side of the Walmart. They only allow 100 people in the store at a time. and as people leave via the supermarket side the walmart employees at the door communicate who leaves with the other employees at the entrance to keep the flow moving. I waited in a long line at 630 am. I was about the 20th or 21st person. People are waiting outside Walmart at 6am for the doors to open at 7am. Be prepared to wait. I went to western beef and spent 80$ on 12 items. Today I spent 230$ I got 55 items. I understand the lines. However by the time the 101st person enters all of the items are gone. Their arent limits on items. For EXAMPLE I got in the Walmart at 7:09, only 9 minutes after the door opened. I watched a person come in and took every disenfectant and almost all the toilet paper before I made it in the store. People are not courteous. Most of the people arent looking for deals because Walmart is great theyre looking for deal becasue theyre the working poor. Its a shame how you can see the class issue immediately. Only people of color not one white person on the line at Walmart. If you go to BJ's a couple steps away thats the line the white people are on. The corona virus not only exposed the weakness in the country but it also exposed the way people of color and the working poor are treated and have to travel near and far just for a deal on everyday essential items. read more

I'm so upset after ordering a organizer on July 8th on line it said I can pick up the same day sure enough they did not have the item, after waiting for a few days I'll several times and no answer on July 23rd I decided to stop the store to see if it came and the assistant manager told me it's been sold after 7days I was so furious no one ever called or emailed me regarding my order and when you call there's no one to answer your call and to top it off the refunded my money and it can take up to 3-4 days to go back to my card. I order a photo tote bag. Couple of weeks later I received a call it was ready to be pick up. So we got to the store asked around where it should be. Every employee we encountered was rude didn't want to help us most of us gave us the direction to go to .com station but we we're a little confuse on why because it was photo item why would it be in the photo center. So we waited on line in the .com they said it wasn't here and we should check the photo center. So we did. Every employee swore up and down it wasn't there and why did we think it was here to begin with. We explained that an employee called us and said it was ready to be picked up. 6 employee's look for it while also using their phones and carrying out ghetto conversation about their baby daddies and boyfriends. We asked for a manager and in under 6 mins found the item where they all have check and also once had it in there hand and said that wasn't it. When we was like that looks like it. No apologies from the staff it seem like this was a normal thing to wait 3 hours to find things. Also they tried to ring it up again, so we then to matters to our own hands and snatched it away from the employee and told them we paid for it already it was a .com order!!! We filed a complaint over the phone and by e-mail and was told they would get back to us in 3 to 5 business days. It's been 3 months and we haven't heard a word back via e-mail or by phone. I forgot about the incident at this store decide I'm going to do my own oil change on my car. So I look online for cheap oil around my way and found walmart had oil on sale on there website. So I when to the same Valley Stream store where the photo incident happened. I asked where the auto stuff was an employee pointed me to the direction where it was at. I found the oil I saw on the website on sale but when we reach the checkout it was a different price. So the nice cashier called pointed out the manager was right next to us talking to another cashier about her life problems. We was holding up the line waiting 4 mins for her to end her story. After she was done she said we don't match roll back prices in the store then process to walk away after I asked her can you please explain that. I also notice there was about 7 signs that said the price of the website in the store where we picked up the item. So I guess they don't price match signs or websites in the store. Why even have a price of them if you're just going to charge anything anyway. I called 3 times to customer service walmart and they all said sorry about my experience in the store and that they going to get back to me in 3 to 5 days. it's been 15 business days and haven't heard a single peep about it. I guess nobody care about this walmart. It's one of the forgotten ones to the company. North Bergen, NJ store is comparable to this store. Night and Day, I used to always wonder why my friend from NY would pay a 15 dollar toll over to NJ just to shop there when we have once in Valley Stream, NY. His answer was I didn't want to get arrested, it has to be the most ghetto store he knows. Now I totally in and out understand his answer. You're risking your life going to this store. I never mention that I was also attacked a bunch of times just walking into the store people were tossing shopping carts around against the wall while store security laughed at it. Employees were tossing items at each other as I walked by causing at each other in a playful way. Like if there nobody around watching them, in the own world. I repeat there was 5 employee in one aisle tossing store items around at each other. I wish I was the store manager so I could just fire all of them and start over. I recently purchased an item and had it delivered via Site to Store. I was pleased by the the up to date information about when the item shipped and when it was available for pick up. However when I went to go pick it up from the Valley Stream Walmart, I was greeted with a long line. I wasn't yet deterred. However as time passed I realized that the staff at this location were not helpful and lazy. One particular employee refused to help a customer out stating 'This isn't my job, you're going have to wait'. He said that to about 3-4 people. When he scanned my barcode, he told me the same thing. I thought at that point, he would be sending someone to go get my order. However he did not convey any information to anyone and I sat waiting there for 45 minutes. Impatiently I asked him again, and he was like 'OH SHIT, someone didn't help you." As he walked away. I had to ask another employee before I was able to get help. During my over the hour wait, I heard other customers getting their packages lost, even people picking up orders that weren't theirs. And another customer who waited nearly as long as I did, the employees joked about losing their package when they finally brought it to the counter. Even after several of us asked to speak to a manager, a manager was heard over the walkie talkie, that they are too busy to come and to just deal with the problem. Finally when I got my package, I had to lift up the 142 lb box myself to put it into the cart. No assistance. Even more I was NOT asked for any sort of ID to verify I was who I said I was. Which leads me to believe that many packages can just randomly get picked up by anyone. From this experience I will probably NEVER do site to store again, and I probably won't shop at walmart again either. Certainly not the Valley Stream location. read more

I had to call Walmart.com to find out that the item was lost and I have to order it again. I couldn't have my item in time , and of course nobody was held responsible for NO-communication. This was my first visit to this location. I mean, I understand Walmart is the kind of place that you are supposed to just go in, run your errands, and get out of there. However, this location is probably one of the more run down location I've been toa. It's heavily crowded like what other Yelpers said and the line to pay is extremely long. I came in on January first to buy some cheap fabric and felt since all other fabric stores was closed for the holiday. Although this was a supercenter, the fabric section was surprisingly small compared to other stores I've been to. The felt squares were insanely cheap (at 23 cents a square) but they only had 4 colors left out of the 20 compartments they had for felt. I was pretty sad about how under stocked the place was but I bought part of my fabric and headed to the exit. On the way out, we checked other sections and just like the fabric section, the inventory was sparse and underwhelming. If I ever need to go to Walmart again, I'll probably hit the Garden City location instead. This location left me no reason to come back. read more

I wish I could provide a rating of no stars. This is the worst Walmart ever!!! When there is an advertisement for an open position, it must read, "Idiots only, apply within." The effectiveness and efficiency of a business starts from the top down, so if your lead by incompetency, the whole team is largely incompetent. There are less than a handful of productive workers but they are clearly overshadowed by the vast amount of ignorance displayed. You constantly hear the workers talking about other co-workers, personal life and management. The use of vulgar language is ridiculous. While you may not like where you are working, you must represent your place of employment to the best of your ability. I never see a good amount of customer service. From management down, they all need intensive training from knowing how to treat customers to problem solving. This site receives numerous complaints and nothing has changed. They have gotten progressively worse. The management that is in place DO NOT present with knowledge, targeted training /experience and common sense. The store is constantly in disarray but that is because of the layout of the store. Get a consultant and help yourselves with displays and logistics. Now I know a lot of customers can be rude and less than tactful but you get back what you put out. read more
