Hey, walked in and saw a sign that said renovations completed and Grand Reopening was scheduled for October 2nd. I guess been a little while since I came here but didn't know they were renovating. That's a good thing though, as it's always nice to see a store get a refresh. Some movement of shelves to new areas so it took a little bit to find a few things. I was in Walmart- it is rare you see an employee around. And if you do they don't make eye contact- zombies who stock shelves. They don't talk to you. Then I find out this location is doing a renovation to the entire store. They should invest in hiring people who are friendly and have brains instead of robots or just lack of personnel. I wanted some sardines in water and finally got a guy Jeremy who said he was a mgr to help. He was good to deal with. When I got to the register, I was never greeted nor spoken to by the cashier. I drover 45 minutes because this ia the closest Super Walmart and I needed a significant amount of groceries this week. When I went to check out with my very full cart I found out there were no bags available. Normally I have my own but I couldn't find them and just figured I'd pay for paper bags. When I asked if not having bags was a new Walmart thing I was told they just ran out and people have "been using so many." I pointed out that perhaps Walmart failed to stock properly. Now I have cherries, strawberries and meat rolling around the back of my vehicle. Way to meet the needs of your customers! I truly wish there were other affordable grocery options because Walmart seems to be hitting a low. read more

This store is well stocked & clean. This store has the most rude staff. They speak Spanish when asked a question in English. Then they will talk to someone else in English. The cashiers refuse to bag your items. Managers are not helpful and customers are an annoyance. read more

Came to buy some groceries. Prices were fair. Walmart was fairly clean. It was not packed and I was thankful for that. I was looking for healthy wraps and it took me a while to find it as it had been moved. The Walmart attendant couldn't find it either. So I wasted time going around the store for a while. Bathroom could definitely use a cleaning and fixing of paper holders. Toilet paper rolls were on the floor. It did not smell bad at all. But had tons of pieces of papers left all over by customers. There was plenty of parking and shopping carts available. Otherwise, this visit was fine. read more

My sister and I always stop here to get snacks before heading to Ocean Beach park. I'm surprised this Walmart has a low rating, because it's way cleaner and nicer than the Walmarts around where I live in Fairfield county. The cold cuts and bread are always fresh, I have no complaints. read more

I bought a money order with cash on October 16th from the Walmart Service Center to make a mobile deposit. My last such purchase was on August 22nd. During that time Walmart made their money orders not able to be deposited by a mobile app. I returned to the service desk within an hour after my purchase upon discovering I could not make a mobile deposit. Walmart would not take back their money order or would even cash it! It took me an hour and several layers of management to rectify my problem. They would not refund the dollar charge for the money order. Not even an apology for my inconvenience. My shopping days at Walmart are over to the benefit of Amazon. read more

Extremely rude costumer service... Went in with my family for a propane refill since we're here camping from across the country. We didn't know we were not allowed to bring the propane so they not only scolded us for it but one lady proceeded to look my fiancé up and down with a look of disgust (he was polite and I removed the propane from the store as soon as they said it wasn't allowed) we then were made to wait over 30 minutes to receive our propane... the store is not busy at all. I go in and ask for help after 15 minutes of waiting and made us wait another 20 mins. Friday or not don't treat your customers like garbage because you don't want to work Friday evening. We went in the store very happy after our fishing trip and left feeling like absolute garbage. I don't leave reviews but this was honestly the rudest customer service I've ever received. read more

Stopped in Walmart in Waterford Ct to pick up some canned food and flashlights as news had the news Hurricane Lee may come closer to Ct than forecast earlier, well looked down the aisles and was over by Paint and Hardware and Outdoor Camping etc sections , asked first employee I ran across the answer was somekind of grunt and pointing to next aisle , not be found in this aisle , well next two employees replied "no speak English' WTF finall a woman in Sporting Goods aisle looked intelligent , what a mistake answered a polite question with "somewhere around here but I can't help you it's not on my handheld , well just left my cart of canned foord and condiments worth about $50 business , as per other reviews hit or miss store but rude staff and alot of yelling and screaming in Spanish , left and went to Lowes after asking was pointed out which aisle for flashlights Walmart may be the largest but customer service just plain sucks read more

Needed to reschedule a tire installation. Couldn't do it online, system didn't allow. Tried calling the actual store where the work was to be done; neither auto department nor store manager ever picked up the phone. With no recourse, I drove on the donut down I-95 to the store to get the job done or at least schedule it to be done. Was offered a 3-4 hour wait to have it done as they weren't able to access the online scheduling system. End result took tire with me and limped back on the donut to my local mechanic. Walmart just lost me as a customer. Why have online scheduling system if it doesn't do it's job? Why have phones if you're not going to answer them? read more

This Walmart might have a chance if only the staff consistently spoke English. I am all for bilingual, especially if a customer is not adept in English, however, everywhere you turn in this store, employees are lounging "while stocking shelves", blocking aisles without an offer to step aside if you are trying to go down an aisle and are forever yelling to one another - mostly in any language but English. During Covid, when I would only dash into a store if I had to, I witnessed employees yelling goodbyes at the end of a shift, then run to each other and hug and air kiss. Unbelievable. I also feel that I must just about tackle an employee to get help. on one visit, when I asked to purchase a bag, I was told "yeah, we're not doing that anymore". I asked not supplying bags? The answer "yeah, people waste to much, management not spending money on them". I said what if you forget a bag (which I had). "Well, wheel the carriage out and unload it into your car from there" no personality, no manners, no customer service and no clue. Do not purchase a phone or contract from this store. Aaron and Emily are awful employees that sat there the entire time telling me how much they hated their job and were completely unprofessional and rude to other customers while they wasted over an hour of my time all to tell me I had to go to a Verizon store to finish. At the other store they told me everything Aaron said was completely wrong and ended up just starting over completely. When I tried to go back to return the phone no one was available to help me so we had to come back to the store and then when I called Verizon to get the first bill cancelled after the whole ordeal he told me they still had never even disconnected the line only returned the phone. Luckily Verizon employees were competent and friendly and undid the shotty work of Aaron & Emily. I will never purchase anything from this Walmart again because when I asked to speak to a manager, Kelly didn't even bother to come back and talk to me in person but through her employees personal phone and was completely rude. Worst customer experience I have ever had in any store in my life. I have made a vow never to shop at a Walmart again because of the way I was treated. I doubt they care but I am done. read more

This Walmart really has just about everything you could need in one store. From lawn care, to pets, babies, medicine, food, and electronics, this store has it all. The only downside is that the "rush hours" here can be a little much if you don't like crowds or waiting in line. A plus is that they have added a self check-out area with about 6 stations if you prefer doing things yourself. Generally the store is in good condition and clean, there is always employees stocking the shelves. I have never come here and them be out of what I needed. What I love about this store is all the employees seem to be very friendly with each other and are always working, not sitting around gossiping like some of the other Walmart's I have been to. Also for those who speak Spanish, this Walmart has a lot of Hispanic employees so if help is needed in your language, this is the best one to go to. At this location there is also a McDonald's, nail salon, arcade and eye care center. In the entrance/exit they have a Red Box station too. This is truly a one stop shop! read more

Spacious isles, empty self checkout, clean restrooms, and all my favorite items could be found in this store! I had no issues with items being out of stock and they had a great selection to choose from. I love 24 hour Walmart's! And I love the app because it makes checkout so much easier with the scan and go option.. plus all my receipts go right to my phone! I've been traveling the coast and this is honestly the nicest Walmart with the most variety I've been to since I was in North Carolina. Personally I didn't interact with staff but they seemed to do their job and smiled if I made eye contact with them. No complaints here read more

This store has really gone downhill. Stocking is horrible. The mini chips for baking are allways out of stock because they put the other size there. There is no regular Gatorade because they fill everything with the zero calorie one. The clerk refused to scan my bottle return at the self checkout. This store needs an overhaul in management. I put in a grocery order for 4 pm pickup. I received an email at 4 pm to say it wouldn't be ready. By 6:30 pm, I called the pick up department and no answer. Then I called the main store and no answer! The chat said they would get me a $10 credit on the order and to wait for an email. I received the email at 7:09, arrived at 7:30 and have been waiting for two hours along with seven other cars!!! There have been no sign of anyone to even explain. Not even a manager until 90 minutes in. I could have done my own shopping. To make matters worse, I'm on my way home without my order and have to return in the morning because "they accidentally gave my bags to another customer". I live twenty five minutes away. read more

Purchased an Ozark Trail ice chest about a a year and a half ago. Pulled it from storage and it has a big crack in it. It says right on it that it has a 5 year warranty. Went back to Walmart where they said it only has a 90 day warranty on it. It clearly says on the ice chest it has a 5 year warranty on it. It says it on the website too. This review is specifically for the Automotive Center manager and also the technician who changed my oil. He, the technician, left the oil cap off after filling the vehicle with the new oil. The manager, when I called to speak with her about the issue, lied and said they have it on video the technician had put the cap on. The reason I know she was being dishonest was due to the fact the engine noise from under the hood was resonating considerably louder than it ever had. It wasn't until the following morning I decided to check under the hood and found the oil cap towards the front of the engine compartment. After that the engine noise went back to normal. I reported this to the store manager, and reflected on the fact the Automotive Center manager didn't work well with people. I suggested she be assigned to stocking shelves. read more

Do they realize that so many customers are probably stealing from them since you have to just pile your loose items in to the cart with no bags? Walmart understands mandates are not laws and no one harasses me about not wearing a mask. They offer, I decline and I enjoy my shopping experience. Some customer's living in fear and the virtuous maskers who want to save my dead grandma seem more bothered by it. Overall, good staff. Helpful if needed. Walmart grocery delivery service, never again!! (Sorry but this is a long one!) On Oct 29th I ordered groceries for delivery. The next earliest delivery date available was Nov. 3rd. This was fine because we had enough items at home to hold us up til then so I selected the delivery time 11 a.m.-12 p.m. On delivery day, I received a text update at 11:40 a.m. "Sorry! Your Walmart delivery is delayed. We'll alert you as soon as your driver is on the way..." The text also included a link to check the status which showed "being prepared". I figured they were just busy and short staffed so I just brushed it aside and waited. At around 1 p.m. I called customer service to inquire about the status. They said the delivery was rescheduled to 2-3 p.m. Again, I figured they must be really busy so I said ok, that's fine. I had just had knee replacement surgery so my husband took the day off to help bring the groceries in and put them away. At around 4 p.m. still no delivery. I called customer service again only to be told, your order will be delivered today. They're behind schedule but the groceries will be delivered, just wait for it About 8 hours after my 11-12 delivery schedule, still no groceries! This is around 8 p.m. so I called AGAIN. The rep told me they couldn't find a driver to deliver the groceries.... wait what?? The rep said I have 2 options, they can try to find a driver to deliver the order some time that evening or I can change the delivery to the next day. My husband had to work the next so I would have no assistance, and this is around 8 p.m. and at my age I usually turn in around 9 p.m. so I said neither, just cancel the order. The order was canceled and I received the text & email confirmations. Remember hours before they informed me the driver will be delivering the order, just wait for it. During all that time I received no email, text or phone call to inform me they had no driver. If I had known sooner, I could have made some other arrangements to get some essentials. Never again will I use Walmart grocery delivery service. I don't even want to shop there anymore. They don't even deserve 1 star, maybe -5!!! read more

So yesterday at Walmart I had locked my keys in my car.. I had to wait 3 hours for someone to come un lock it. I originally only went there for one item but ending up buying like 30 items because I had a chance to look at everything. But the whole time I was followed around by 2 different secret shoppers, it made me so uncomfortable. I understand they probably thought it was weird I was in there for 3 hours but still?! I would never steal anything in my life & I was wearing a t shirt and shorts how did they expect me to steal anything maybe if I had a purse or a bag or something! But I literally was just walking around bored looking at stuff. I will never go back to this Walmart it was so uncomfortable being by yourself and being followed by 2 men. One was older and one was younger the younger guy had tattoos on his arm I believe it was his right arm it looks like tribal tattoos. They also need to learn how to do there job better & try to be secretive.
