Walmart has just spent thousands of dollars updating/upgrading the West Palm Beach Store. NOW its time to improve the staff who work there. An ability to speak English would be a good starting point. Being courteous and helpful to customers.  Not talking on their phones when on duty may encourage less rudeness.  A knowledge of the store and products would be a plus. read more

I removed my credit card number from my Walmart acct online and they CLOSED ME OUT FOR 90 DAYS. When I called to ask about it they said this is the way it goes. I have given them thousands and thousands over the years. If they think I will ever give them one cent again ever they should think again. I am truly shocked. I went over and over this with the customer service person just to make sure I was not misunderstanding him and I was not. This review is purely to let the company know that their associate Brenda deserves all the amazing things, promotion, anything. I trek down to Walmart every few weeks to stock up on deals but don't shop there regularly because it's hard to get help. Luckily today I found Brenda and not only did she walk me to what I was looking for, she helped me find a dolly and move the 2 tv's I wanted to buy to the register and out to my car. I would have had to leave without them if it wasn't for her! She is so amazing and friendly. I am happy Walmart appears to have adjusted their return policy to 90 days. I stopped shopping here for a while because of that also. I'd like to add that several other people refused or weren't able to help me find what I was looking for, or directed me to the wrong area of the store. A grocery store should be one of the cleanest places to go but they aren't because of lazy employees or poor management. I can only comment on the Riviera Beach and Lake Park stores. The self checkout cameras are already watching the customers so at least the workers should keep the bags full and the registers wiped down. Those stations have old dried blood, milk,etc .. Don't bother to try and use your cell phone once you're midway through the store because the place is built like a fortress. Even the free WiFi was a struggle! The shelves were fairly well stocked; albeit, things could've been neater. The produce department was lacking and the strawberries already had mold. Yuk! On a positive note, the prices are good. The dairy and meat sections were well stocked and I was fortunate to get all I stopped in for with the exception of an item they apparently don't carry. Not all stores feature the same merchandise. I utilized self checkout and the entrance and exit were being used as one or the other to minimize traffic. If I'm being honest; this Walmart is not the safest feeling in my opinion, especially at night which is when I happened to be there. But, they now have police that monitor the parking lot. It's the closest one to me and I'm definitely that crazy lady who is trying to help injured wildlife. I originally went to Target but they don't carry fishing nets in the store, only online. The fishing nets in Walmart are at the top of the shelves; I'm vertically challenged and we all know Walmart has like 5 employees on the floor at once. I found a gentleman named Marcus. He happened to be tall...perfect! He was so kind to me and I gave him a laugh a couple of times so bonus for me. Not only did he take the time to help me get the fishing nets down, but he scanned prices for me and also checked the operation of the extensions on the nets to make sure that they were in working order before I left with it. That little extra effort really goes a long way in my book. Thank you so much for your help finding the perfect net, Marcus! First of all, I need to remember this is Walmart. I was in the store early morning the other day around 8:30am. I got my usual soda and iced tea and decided to take a look at watches for my step daughter for Christmas. She wants a small cheap watch to wear to work. I found a little Armitron watch in a locked case and nobody working at the jewelry counter (during Christmas shopping season!). I asked n associate for help and she stated that she would "try finding the key or someone to help me." After waiting about 15 minutes I walked around and saw the same woman working the front end and she asked if anyone came to help me and I said no. I returned to the jewelry counter and there was another woman that told me that she works in that department but had no key for the watch case. Meanwhile, all of the associates seemed to be doing their online little projects and appeared to be avoiding customers. I walked back to customer service and asked for a manager. Lindsay came over and I explained the situation to her. She said to give her a minute. She walked away and returned in about 5 minutes saying that they are unable to open the watch case because no keys were available. She apologized and was a great help. This store lost a sale and probably the warranty sale for the watch because they couldn't find the keys to open a little plastic case with cheap watches in it. Not my first issues with Walmart. I think it's sad to have to pre-judge a business even before walking into it. read more

I don't know where these positive reviews come from. If you've been in this location you'd realize immediately that this store is poorly run and no cared about by any corporate office. Not that Wal Mart cares what custo.ers think but hopefully I can save someone from having to deal with the crap they dole out. I have had multiple issues with Wal Mart, not just this one, they all just don't care, there is no customer service and they just don't care. You can call the toll free number and they tell you they will have someone call you back. They never do, even if you call the number 20 or more times. They DO NOT CARE about their customers, only their money. I bought a battery from this store, it sort of worked for about a week and then required jump starts every day. I took it back, they exchanged it for another and took one month off of the pro-ration. The battery they gave me was garbage too. After a week and a half of jump starting, I again tested the charging system, put into a different brand battery from one of my other vehicles, it worked fine. Three weeks later, I brought it back. They said that the proration was minus the roughly three months since I bought the original battery and I could go get another one. I didn't want another garbage battery and told them that I just wanted credit for the remainder of the battery and the core deposit since I never brought in the core. They said they couldn't and wouldn't do that. I HAD to buy another one of their piece of crap batteries. I wasn't going to do that. I went to Costco, bought a new battery there. 6 months later, Costco battery was still going strong. Tried to take the pice of garbage battery from Wal Mart back to get credit for the still unused proration on the battery. They said I HAD to buy another battery right then and there, I couldn't even get it as a future proration. Not only will I never be buying batteries from this or any other Wal Mart, I will make it a point to NEVER buy anything else from a Wal Mart or Wal Mart neighborhood market. I used to think this store was decent and was glad when it opened a few miles from my home. When Winn Dixie on 45th Street closed late last year (2014), I was especially thankful for Walmart as I shop for cat food and litter several days a week. Their prices (when compared to pet stores) really are lower. I love the Savings Catcher app that gives you back store credit if any lower prices are found in 72 hours after you scan your receipt. Since August 2014 when I started doing the Savings Catcher thing (scanning receipt on phone takes 2 seconds), I have gotten $75 in credit. Not bad for doing nothing but buying items I needed anyhow. Yes, as other reviews have said, lines are often long and the employees are not always the brightest or best, but you go there to save money so you have to sacrifice a bit. So, why 2 stars only? I'll tell you: the last 5 visits I have made to shop for pet food, I have seen dead fish in their tanks. I have photos from each time. In the 5 visits, I have seen about 15 dead fish total. I know many people don't care, and apparently no one in that store does, but as a big animal lover (I know nothing about pet fish), I'm so angry. They are obviously not well! I have reported this 3 times to the 800 number of customer service, and last week to a 3rd party ethics company that handles Walmart ethics stuff. I have also emailed PETA. Just today , however, I saw 4 more dead fish!! Horrible. Walmart, DO NOT SELL live creatures if you cannot properly care for them. I beg you! read more

I saw a bike I liked. Went to buy the assembled bike but the brakes were rubbing and I ask if it could be adjusted. The floor sticker told me to tall to a manager. I asked to talk to the manager but the manager did not want to talk to me and said buy the bike as is because no one to fix and did not know when someone who knew how to fix would come in. The entire store was run by ONE cashier who probably had the best attitude and should be commended for at least his efforts. All other employees were hanging around the self checkout area while the cashier tried his best to help customers. The One star is only because he was good. Everyone in line could feel his pain because he was left hanging by his fellow employees. The worst part was that he said it wasn't even his shift, he had switched with someone and gotten screwed since everyone else called out. Walmart, promote this kid to corporate office so that he can show everyone how to be professional, and get rid of the rest. I had to go to customer services twice and even though said they sent someone to help me out, not even a single employee came to help me out. Over the years,I have been to more Walmart stores than I can possibly remember. This location has went through several changes since I have been shopping here. Every change has been an improvement so the customer can have the best and most efficient shopping experience. The story added self-check out lines earlier this year, for people who may be inclined to that service. The store has moved some merchandise so it is now more visible. Now, my wife and I have been introduced to online shopping. This will definitely be one of our favorite features when making purchases. Our first pick up was today. Caution WalMart shoppers. Be careful of their "Clearance" prices. According to Tim, Assistant Store Mgr and Gary in Automove dept., Clearance does not mean lower price. Clearance means " we want to get rid of it" I went to buy an auto shade that was on the "Clearance" table priced at $13.00, yet the same item on the regular shelf was priced $12.87. Both Tim and Gary said yeah that's the way Wal-Mart works. Well that's not what we the consumers expect of clearance pricing. Why would anyone pay more for something on clearance than the everyday price on the shelf? "Shrug, Shrug" is all I got as a response. They eventually (15 minutes later) agreed "to mark it down to $7 for a few days." After another 15 minutes of shopping, the item rang up at $12.87 at the register. I went back to Customer Service to get my refund. RIP-OFF Mart is a more appropriate name for them, check your receipts shoppers. read more

let me just start by saying i rarely leave reviews but i had to because of what i just experienced. If i can give this location zero stars i would. the employees are so rude and have zero sense of customer service. they have zero registers open and only self check out. which is fine, i don't mind. however i'm scanning my cart full of groceries and the gun beeped so i'm assuming it scanned. turns out i missed two of the items. the lady at self check out comes over to me and snatched the gun out of my hand and says word for word "you didn't scan everything, why are you trying to steal in front of me?" i looked at her and i was like what are you talking about? what did i miss? she rolls her eyes at me and cancels my order and rescans everything while throwing all of my items all over the place. i asked to speak to the manager and she rolls her eyes again and mumbles under her breath. the manager was zero help too. all she did was say "ok i'll talk to her". i have never experiences such awful treatment at a place of business. i've been shopping at walmart for YEARS. this location is 5 minutes from my house but i will be driving 15-20 mins farther to go to a better location. if you want to spend your hard earned money somewhere, do not go here. read more

This Walmart is very convenient when we're visiting the area. Short drive from the hotels but note that only open until midnight. Staff is friendly and helpful. The layout is a little different from what we're used to with pharmacy & personal care items more in the center of the store. Clean & organized. We shopped in the very early AM so this may contribute to things looking tidy. Can't comment on the grocery or other food items since we didn't venture there. Ample parking. read more

Walmart has its strengths and weaknesses as is any other business or company. Yet I always find what I need at a decent price. However I save much much more at Aldi. Customer service is on average doing their job getting you out the way which works for me. You know what to expect at Walmart crowds and lines and plenty of supplies to meet your needs. If it wasn't for them where could we go of course ten different stores to find 10 different things for more money when you can get it all in one place One store at the right price. Holidays it's the best place to go to find what you need just go early. Please aim a bit more to satisfy customers by training your young employees the meaning of respect in which it's not taught at home or in the community so train them to better serve. read more

5 years ago I vowed never to shop at Walmart again. Long story. .. today I had to pick up office supplies and was told to get them at Walmart:/ I shopped, I found everything I needed. Why is it every time I go to this wal Mart my child and I are treated so poorly. Shout out to DENISHA and SYLVIA for treating me so rudely when a gift card they literally just gave me at the customer service center didn't work at DENISHAS register. The date was 1-11-2019. Manager check the camera and see how slow she purposely dealt with the situation.She needed a "key turn" and literally walked as slowly as possible while stopping to talk to & hug other people on the way to "find" a manager. Then when she gets back about 15 mins later still no manager. So I go up to customer service (I'm still in line with my daughter who had a poopy diaper) and asked "SYLVIA" if she could simply transfer my money & give me another card that would swipe. She literally barked "NO" and gave me a nasty ass look and as it Turns out she's the one who can do the "key turn". She too took her sweet time to get 10 feet away.not to mention She was visible to my cashier denisha the entire time. They literally right in front of me whispered to each other and condescendingly laughed at me like I couldn't see them. She left before she could make sure it worked and guess what. It didn't. So Sylvia goes back to customer service & serves another 2 people before coming back & helping me. What happened to wal Mart being known for great customer service?
