I haven't stepped foot inside a Walmart in months! The location closest to me has always been a struggle , fighting for a parking spot, items constantly out of stock, and customer service that can be hit or miss. So when I decided to try this location for the first time, I wasn't exactly walking in with high expectations. First win: I found a parking spot without having to circle the lot like I was competing in the Hunger Games. The store itself looked newer and updated, and it was clean, organized, and wait for it... well stocked! I easily found everything I needed, and several of my items were even on sale. My budget was VERY happy. I didn't need much customer service, but the employee working the self-checkout area was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I noticed some other reviews mentioning homeless individuals outside the store, but during my visit, I didn't encounter that at all. Now for the one little heartbreak... The main reason I came was for a rotisserie chicken, and they were SOLD OUT! They had more cooking, but apparently my chicken and I were not meant to meet that day. Chicken tragedy aside, I had a surprisingly great experience. Easy parking, clean store, stocked shelves, good prices, friendly staff... Walmart, you may have just convinced me to come back! I'll be returning... and next time, I'm coming for that chicken! read more

The walmart supercenter offers a grocery pickup which is located on the left side wall of the Walmart right behind the pharmacy drive thru. The grocery pickup option is available in the Walmart app and I was able to reserve a spot for free if I place it on a specific slot. I did a morning pickup and it was only 1 person there if I do very early morning pickup - 7am pickup. The workers there were fast and efficient on their pickup and there was minimal interaction. It basically took me only a few minutes from checking in to leaving after the pickup. Overall the experience was fast and efficient. 5/5 read more

This scan go is now getting on my nerves. For instance, the register they are telling you to use for a scan and go has a signed that says closed and then it is raised up in a position as if it requires maintenance. As a customer, I'm not gonna go to a register that says close and also that is in a position for maintenance. Makes no sense. This Walmart is decent but the customer service is terrible. As I was checking out one of the barcodes on a small item didn't scan properly so this associate working at the self checkout came up to me and demanded I scan the item in a very rude manner. She didn't even think it could've been a mistake, she instantly thought I was stealing! Some sandwich bags? Customer service at this locations needs some serious improvement. read more

Say what you want about Walmart, but I like going to stores where they have a lot of stuff that you don't find at other places - you can buy everything at Walmart. I like being able to buy food, house hold items and even clothes all in one trip! I also like that this West Sacramento location is in a shopping center with Ikea and lots of restaurants and fast food options. I went after work yesterday to get food and supplies for camping and given that it is camping season, they have multiple aisles of gear all in the front of the store for easy access. Prices are fair on certain items, but I don't normally buy my meats or veggies from Walmart unless I absolutely have to. Staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. I will say though that I hate that they check your receipt upon leaving now like at Costco - not a fan of that. read more

The actual store is alright. Clean, organized, and easy to find things because it's well stocked. The pharmacy is an actual nightmare especially the drive thru...they took 20+ mins for my order, with no line present at the drive thru. I will not be coming here again. read more

This Walmart is huge. It has everything you need like a standard Walmart but it has groceries also. Almost all of the stuff at the healthcare aisle is locked up. I couldn't get OTC meds because I couldn't find a worker to open the lock. There are some crazy people that go here though. I see a lot of homeless also. Just make sure your cautious with your surroundings. I actually make my way to this West Sac Walmart instead of going to the one on Truxel Rd. That one is the worst. read more

Here is my once a year negative review and gripe. Apparently, this Walmart does not like to sell merchandise. I get why everything is locked up, but to lock it up and not respond to a customer that wants to purchase over 200 dollars of Lego is beyond me. We literally waited over 15 minutes ringing that bell to get an employees attention. And even after all that nothing. I then had to find someone who had access. And she grudgingly helped us out. My goodness, how appalling it was for a customer to want to purchase something. And then they made me ring it up right there in front of them, God forbid I steal it. Lol. Yeah, cause I look like a thief surrounded by my wife and 3 little kids. Honestly, I have never felt this way or made to feel this way. Horrible experience to say the least. Customer service is really a joke to these employees. They hate their jobs. And they hate dealing with customers. What is the purpose of their existence then? Why bother even coming into work? Oh I know so they can clock in and look forward to getting their paycheck. It's one thing to lack customer service but to actually go out of your way to make the customer feel uncomfortable and annoyed, now that is a new one for me. We are a family of 5 that likes to spend money. We, apparently and gladly, will not be spending another penny at this worthless, horrid of a place called Walmart. Rosca de Reyes is easily found in the bakery section at this West Sacramento location; the Truxel location was out. The price is very reasonable at $12.84, and it comes in a fun colorful box for kids to experience this tradition. I've seen the Rosca go for $40 this year at Mexican grocery stores, so this is a big price difference, especially since I know the kids won't finish eating it. Glad I found this very affordable box; I even bought an extra one to donate to our church. This is a seasonal item so the boxes do go quickly in December and early January. read more

This is a great place to buy items that you need immediately, without waiting for a one- or two-day delivery from online stores. There is still a need for physical stores for some things that you have need for. The store, of course, is stocked with items from A to Z that is actually mind-boggling! And this place, being a superstore, is just expansive! I came here to buy a TV wall mount that a store next door didn't stock anymore. A bit on the expensive side, but the quality and the build were of the highest level. The item we were looking for didn't take long to find, without needing any assistance at all. A Walmart store is generally arranged the same way as its other stores. Very convenient. The store was well lit. The aisles were as neat as can be. A few items on the floor, but nothing bad. I wonder how the floors would look during the Christmas season... For items you need immediately, a visit to a physical store is necessary. And thank Walmart for that! read more

Customer Service here is horrible. I needed to use the dressing room, nobody was at the desk to help and all the doors were locked. I found an associate in the Women's Department and ask for her help. She told me she couldn't help me. She then said, there should be someone else around to ask. Couldn't find anyone else, so I went up front to ask another worker. He also wouldn't help me either, he said he didn't have a walkie talkie. Then I found someone with a walkie talkie. She pointed to the first lady I asked and told me to ask her. I told her that she already told me she couldn't help me. Come on, these workers need to do better and stop being so lazy. Personally this is my favorite wal mart to go to in Sacramento. One, because they have groceries, and it's really big. They always have more stuff. We just left here and it was pretty crowded, it was Saturday. The staff for the most part are friendly. Rarely had any bad interactions with them here. read more

Walmart automotive, so I had a flat tire needed an emergency help while pulling up to Walmart i noticed my tire was leaking air fast. And thankfully I was at Walmart I drove to the back to get help this guy said he can help me so I thought ok that's great news, turns out he ask his lead about my tire his lead say he don't know how long it's gonna take until tomorrow he said idk sounds petty he wasn't recommending me to anything I'm over there seeing them two cars top! There's more value in utilizing a trash can at Walmart, than asking for help from customer service provider at Walmart. Press the button to buy eye drops and it took for ever for one employee to come to open the glass door lock, even after we went asking for help from multiple employees. Pharmacy staff couldn't open the glass door lock. Lastly, Went to pay at the cash register, the light was on, as soon as teller saw us finishing up unloading items she turned off light. Teller said she was off and needed to leave. Wow, not once, but twice - two tellers. Walmart please do something to change this culture that is following from Walmart to Walmart. read more

Tonight's idiot circle my small apartment complex for 20 minutes. He would answer the phone. But texted he can't find my address. The are four buildings here. With a directory at the driveway entrance. Which they don't need since I put specific directions how to get here. Very specific. He returns my order and states he can't find my address. Are you effing kidding me. This is why you should hire Americans which can read simple English. The kicker is the address is on the top of each building. Don't bother calling the store. This is my neighbor hood Walmart and my favorite Walmart. I know so many of the workers by name Mario is a wonderful guy always helpful, love to see George great greeter and always has a smile, James is another greeter very pleasant, Sarita a cashier so nice and personable, Gracie a cashier very kind and such a sweetheart, Pamela another cashier who is super sweet and in the deli my most favorite is Cynthia she is very funny full of spunk and just an overall great lady and i can't forget Eugene in produce always has a kind word and a smile and he always lets me practice my Russian with him lol what a great guy. I know i can come in and get the best service i make it a point to call people by their names i mean they wear name tags for a reason, yea they are workers but they are also humans and great people who should be treated well and respected. The produce is fresh and they have such a huge selection of food and other items, their clothes are better quality greatly priced and super cute, i know its a pain with items being locked up but times are different now and they don't have you waiting to long so thats a plus the store is huge and has great lighting pretty clean and the bathrooms are also keep up. I highly recommend this Walmart maybe you will see me there it's like my second home hahhaha. read more

Absolutely Terrible customer service, I bought a t-shirt the cashier tried to ring it up and had no tag on price tag on it. So the cashier very rudely put it aside and I asked I would still like to purchase it, very rudely say there's nothing she can do. I just kinda of looked at her because her tone was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm not going to be treated that way so I talked back the way she talked to me, and said go ask your manger and price check really easy to do so she can ring me up. Finally price check the item and rang it up print out my receipt and threw it at me Wish I caught the lady name so could but on the review number but she was an Indian lady with glasses on lane 22 checking me out. She has no business being a cashier very rude I work customer service myself and I would never treat a customer like they way I was treated today Really absolutely terrible customer service and honestly don't think I'll be back to Walmart employees are supposed to help the customers not talk to down them. Worst customer service. I had an experience where I needed something unlocked, and the call buttons weren't bringing anyone over. I asked multiple associates for help, and they all said it wasn't their department. One called for help on the radio, and still, no one came. Waited for 30 minutes, and no one showed. I never received my delivery order. The customer service people and supervisor barely spoke English, did not solve the issue with delivery, and only after insisting 8 times and getting the run around with a supervisor, did they say they would cancel and give me a refund. However, it would take 14 days to receive the refund even though I have to pay them upfront. It was a 2 hour phone call that went nowhere. I'm contacting the BBB and possibly a lawyer. I recently ordered a 65" TCL QLED 4K smart tv model 65Q51K. I ordered it from Portland, Oregon and it got sent from Sacramento, California. So it took 3 days to get to me. That's all fine. Now I unpackaged it (I made sure to take pictures of everything I unpackage so I could do a good review) and plugged it in to check out the screen because my friend had an issue where he ordered a TV from Walmart, and his screen was cracked. Sure enough when I plugged it in to check the screen, it was spider webbed everywhere. I immediately did a return claim, but the option was a return or exchange. But when I pressed it it only was a return. So i called Walmart Customer Service Line @ 800-925-6278, and they had to give me a call back which only took 5 minutes. Now I told the lady that I wanted an exchange, she told me that it was not available and it was only a return. I said then why does it say "return or exchange" on the website. She only said that I had to return it and then reorder it. So I have to wait longer for another tv. Now I only ordered it online cause I don't have a car to go get this and I feel that it's easier for me if they ship it to me. I thought they would just exchange it because I also got the 4 year warranty with it. So I might have to go to Costco to purchase a TV because my friend had the same thing happen and Costco delivered it and installed it for them. Why did it come from Sacramento, California when I live in Portland, Oregon? Well that is my rant. I'm going to include some of the pictures of what the tv looks like. At 4:30pm the automotive department send me away because supposedly you need an appointment. Not a single car in line and I was sent away even after telling me they close until 7pm. The technician said they can't take us in because they have to clean. Come on Walmart you need better management out there. Losing customers and money. I always do my oil change at Walmart and never needed an appointment before I've been a customer for years this is very disappointing. HATS OFF TO LOGAN. I usually don't write reviews for places like Walmart. Usually restaurants but I was in Walmart today and I was purchasing some canvas paint. Turns out that I'd forgotten my wallet in the car. Lucky for me I got Logan who was overseeing the self check outs and offered to watch over my items while I went to retrieve it. Came here needing new kitchen knives. They have all the sets locked up now but theres no assistance button yet. Just happened that the store manager was right there so i asked if he could call someone to help. Which he did. But nobody did. Even though several employees came and went.
