Emile's Café is a tucked-away neighborhood gem with cozy cottage/farmhouse charm and clean, unfussy lines. The kind of place you can happily linger for an hour with a good book or a friend. Drinks: I had the butterscotch salted latte with extra foam and it was delightfully foamy, perfectly balanced sweet-salty butterscotch, and clearly made with care. My companion also had a latte and we agreed the drinks here outshine the usual corporate options. Food: The menu is simple and thoughtful. I ordered the tuna melt -- warm, melty, and satisfying -- and my daughter had a hefty Japanese-style egg sandwich with ham that was delightfully substantial. Their cookies are excellent (chewy with great texture). The cake in the case looked gorgeous -- dark chocolate with a drizzle -- and I'll be back to try it. Service and atmosphere: Staff were friendly and attentive without any corporate rush. The patrons were also very friendly -- we even ran into Girl Scouts selling cookies, so there are cute little community events that pop up. The space encourages lingering with comfy indoor seating and a covered outdoor lounge area, plus a tidy, well-lit counter and display. Extras: They sell unique little items and pantry finds that add to the boutique neighborhood feel. Bathrooms were clean and everything felt well kept. Will I return: Absolutely. Great butterscotch latte, solid sandwiches, standout cookies, and a warm local vibe make Emile's perfect for relaxed coffee dates or solo work sessions. Rating 4.5 stars -- excellent drinks and neighborhood charm; full five once I try that cake.

Such a wonderful breakfast/ brunch spot. We ordered the avocado toast, morning bun, and croissant. The coffee was really delicious. Ambiance is great, clean, so pretty! Fast and friendly service. We'll be back! I'm not sure why some places don't list their prices. It matters in my decision making.

I recommended this place to my friends and sisters and they all loved it. I was so happy they loved this place because it is really so cute and love supporting the restaurants in our city. We ordered the breakfast burrito, lox bagel, and the special raspberry mocha with oatmilk. I did bring my babies and this place is kid friendly which I so appreciate. I do miss the park outside though, hoping that reopens.

Emile's Café in West Sacramento is an absolute gem! I dropped in not knowing what to expect. I ordered a matcha latte and an iced coffee with pistachio-cardamom syrup and both were phenomenal, not overly sweet. The café itself has that modern, minimalist vibe very clean with warm wood accents, it's a perfect balance of being able to be outdoors either for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The baristas were helpful and the service was fairly quick! Highly recommend checking this spot out.

Visited Emile's Cafe for the first time on a late weekday afternoon and had a great experience! All staff were friendly and welcoming. Super cute cafe with plenty of parking and outdoor seating located in the West Sacramento area. I ordered an iced vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it was delicious. You can absolutely tell they make their own vanilla bean syrup, which I love. I also ordered the peanut butter and honey sandwich. It was really good and glad I ordered it. They also a few other food options. The breakfast burrito appeared to be frequently ordered while I was there so I'll have to order that the next time . Can't wait to visit again when in the area! Highly recommend Emile's Cafe!

We came for brunch and noticed the ordering area was a bit small, but they have a spacious outdoor patio tucked behind the shop. When we arrived, there was a line, but we decided to wait since we had come all the way into West Sacramento. They also have their own private parking, which makes it really convenient. We ordered a latte, mocha, breakfast burrito, and Pullman toast. After ordering, they gave us a number and brought the food to our table, which was a nice touch. They use Temple coffee beans, and both drinks were smooth and satisfying. The figs paired beautifully with the toast, and the breakfast burrito was hearty and filling. Our toddler enjoyed both dishes and loved sitting outside. Overall, it's a lovely spot for brunch and definitely worth a visit.

On Saturday, my husband went to Emile's Cafe and came home with an indulgent spread of two delicious salted butterscotch and huckleberry lattes, a breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, lox bagel with forgotten bakery bagels (the best bagels in the area in my opinion), and a chocolate pastry of some sort. Wow, wow, wow. I've never had a huckleberry latte but it was fantastic, the bagel with lox was so fresh, the pastry was so flaky and buttery, and my husband loved the breakfast sandwich (which came with a sweet aioli and jalepeno jam that was so yummy) - he enjoyed the burrito too. On Sunday, I went myself to Emile's with two girlfriends and enjoyed some delicious jasmine green iced tea and a yoghurt parfait (the granola was freshly made and so good!) The owners have done such a great job not only with the amazing food and beverage selection, but vibe was so warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment you walk in (probably because it's owned by 3rd generation West Sac locals - the same awesome owners as Whitey's!!).

Such a cute café! I love their sandwiches‼Each one was so delicious and unique.:) They use seasonal ingredients, so the menu changes based on what's fresh, which makes every visit a little different and fun!

Since this cafe is locally owned, we decided to give it a try. The prices were pretty steep and the menu is limited. They are working in a tight space which explains the limited menu. Since it is small space it is also very stuffy and hot which made it harder to enjoy the drinks - even iced. We ordered the peach latte but there wasn't any sign of peach flavoring. The sandwiches are standard - nothing stood out except the price. There is plenty of parking so that's a plus. Staff are also pleasant which is always a perk. They have merch for sale but it's just hats and shirts with the name of the cafe on it.

I love Emile's Cafe and I had the greatest experience here earlier this week. When you first get here, you are greeted with a space that looks like a modern day barn. With a blue/turquoise logo and red umbrellas out front, it gives it a nice pop of color that makes this place so Instagrammable. I would say the inside is mainly for ordering and waiting for your drink if you're taking it to-go, but it's perfectly laid out to where you don't feel cramped inside. There's indoor seating, but who wants to sit indoors when THERE'S AN ENTIRELY BEAUTIFUL BACK PATIO TO ENJOY! This was probably one of the few main reasons why I wanted to check this place out in the first place. If there's one thing about me, I LOVE me some outdoor seating at a cafe. They have a big open space and lots of shaded seating, perfect for gatherings (in fact they hold reserved events here sometimes). I love that the patio faces the trees. If you just ignore the houses being built off to the right, you literally feel like you're transported into a cafe in the woods. I cannot wait to be here during fall and read a book here. Onto the service and food-- Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I got to do a quick interview for socials and speak with Kevin and he was such a gem of a person. I ordered an Iced Vanilla bean Latte and a croissant from their pastry rack. I usually order the vanilla latte as a safe coffee because it's a classic, and I'm glad I did. There's just some places that do coffee right, and this is one of them. The croissant was soft and had a perfect flaky crisp on the outside. I've been searching long and hard for a place in Sac that sells morning buns, and THEY HAVE IT! You'll definitely see me here again soon to order that and some actual breakfast and lunch items the next time I'm here. Overall so good, and deserves so much more hype. They have a decent parking space, but if you come during peak hours, be prepared to just park on the street and walk right on up to the cafe.

5/5 This cozy cafe was the perfect way to start our morning -- everything exceeded our expectations! Food We both ordered the breakfast bacon sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted, the bacon was crispy, and the flavors came together beautifully. A hearty and satisfying way to kick off the day. Drinks We tried two iced lattes: the vanilla bean and the peaches & cream. * The iced vanilla bean latte was smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. * The peaches & cream iced latte was sweet and refreshing, but the peach flavor was pretty subtle. It was still enjoyable, just a bit more understated than expected. Atmosphere We chose to sit outside and loved the peaceful, natural surroundings. The outdoor seating area is a great spot to relax, enjoy your coffee, and take in the fresh air. Service The staff was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks came out quickly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience -- delicious food & drinks, a serene atmosphere, and great service. We'll definitely be back to try their lunch menu (offered after 11am) and bring along our pup since they are very dog friendly!

There's a wait. Only two tables inside; the rest of the seating is outdoors (100F in the summer). The food is very tasty and upscale. The cafe is beautiful inside and the patio is stylish. We look forward to returning to trying something else from the menu which may be different or seasonal. This is very close to our house, so we could've walked but there is parking.

    Cortado coffee

This is a nice little dainty coffin shop in a residential neighborhood. The food was good and presented nicely. Cortado coffees were great. The service was good and the food was served in a timely manner. There are seating areas overlooking the upcoming park that is being built and also in front of the shop overlooking the street and parking lot. We'll be back here for sure.

Sake (Salmon) Nigiri was excellent in freshness, presentation, and extra effort preparation. The rice is unique too. Great quality overall 2. Hamachi Kama was fresh and comes with a nice side salad. The dip was great and I asked for a side of daikon (which is common for this dish, but you will have to ask for it here). 3. Bento box was excellent with chicken katsu and sesame chicken Meh 4. Crab fried rice... oddly includes crunchy bits of rice (none of us liked that element). Crab was fresh, but the dish tasted very oddly bland. We will be back to try more of their dishes with our great first experience.

Sacramento friends, there's a relatively new Sushi spot in town!…read more Naoki is located in a very familiar space in Midtown, and everything about Naoki it's already an improvement! The interior has been redone, and it feels lighter and a little bit more Restaurant. As a heads up, they've only been open for about 7/8 months and don't really have an established happy hour yet, but I understand that they are working on creating one! They have a pretty extensive sushi menu, and you may get lost in all of the choices, and there are many delicious ones that I definitely want to go back and try! One of my Foodie friends, and I decided to start out with the spicy edamame. It definitely would not be a choice for either one of us. We found that the edamame was not completely boiled, and the spicy seasoning while poured on top, definitely would've been more enjoyable if the edamame had time to marinate in it. Overall, we didn't really care for its flavor or spice level. The assorted tempura was pretty tasty! The batter is light, and the veggies and shrimp are delicious. The dipping sauce was pretty mid-level and I would've enjoyed something with more flavor and something that would've enhanced the tempura. The Hinoka roll was larger than I anticipated, which is always a good thing, and I ordered this based on the recommendation of the waitress. The roll was mid-level. Not absolutely fabulous, but not horrible either. They are very light handed on the sauce on top of the rolls, and I did request some Unagi sauce, which definitely helped to elevate the flavor profile We both loved the way the Nigiri was presented, and definitely made for fun conversation. The Nigiri is pricey, and was tasty. Naoki definitely should be given grace since they are newer. The staff is pretty attentive, and I'm hoping that they find their groove in our community They have their own parking lot with free parking, which is always a plus when you're in or near the downtown/Midtown area. Check them out and don't forget to order the tempura!
