Horrible experience. Had this big ol heavy set kid named Stephen Wienke( got the name from some of the workers as I left) treat me like no human should ever be treated. I seen him stocking somet things or pulling I couldn't tell and he had the area I needed access too blocked off. I asked if I could get something or can you grab that for me please, he said you can get something when I am F***ING done with my job. I told him thats no way to treat a guest in the store. He proceeded to then call me names and insult me under his breath then grabbing his privates like it was a "power" move. I just left my kart and items there and went to a different store. The man should not be working with the public if that's how he is with me, I can't imagine what he'd be like to his loved ones. I would love to shop here in the future and not have to be treated this way again or not to run into him. read more

There was a fire in the store and they were supposed to take out all food and replace it. None of it was replaced! Do not buy food here.

This is not my standard Walmart, but I visited it for the first time and I was impressed with the size and the service. I'm probably wrong, but it seems bigger than the ones closer to me in the Crystal Lake and Algonquin area. I felt like navigating this location was simple and intuitive. The aisles seemed wide and comfortable to walk through without having to navigate around other shoppers. Lastly, the greeters here were very friendly and bright, not the typical sad and tired "hello"s that I'm used to. It's too far for me to go to regularly, but when I'm in the area, it's a great go to. read more

While checking out I overheard an associate being very disrespectful to a customer trying to check out in the self check out. While I understand that you need an ID for alcohol, this poor woman had 3 types of ID, she had a FOID card, passport and a driver's license that expired 1 day ago and the associate spoke so poorly to her due to it being expired she refused to use the other forms of ID that were not expired. I also purchased alcohol and no one carded me. Please work on the way employees treat others. You should not belittle others!! read more

Been going to the Harvard Walmart for 30 years. I needed some help from the customer service desk because I couldn't get my items to ring up on the self service register. The old lady behind the desk was upset that I interrupted her personal conversation to get help she made me wait there while she finished her personal conversation. Infuriating at least then she tried to ring me up and she couldn't. She was stupid and rude. A really nice lady saw how frustrated I was and took me away from The service desk to ring up my entire purchase. The First Lady should retire she has no business or personality to be waiting on customers. read more

Slow, slow, slow. The wait is atrocious. Also as soon as we get to the check out we were informed to remove our items from the check out because the belt broke. When we finally started to check out we had three items that that came up the wrong price. The manager came to override the pricing and as soon as we got checked out, my wife checked the receipt and one of the items was still charged the wrong price. Now we are waiting in another long line at customer service to get our money back. This Walmart is just horrible.!!! Go to Crystal Lake, Huntley, or Johnsburg. Run away. Avoid this place if you can!!!!! read more

Just tried to buy a bottle of liquor that was clearance and it didn't ring up the right price so they refused to change it, even tho there was more priced the same, the employees here suck read more

Don't use the vision center, they are absolutely horrible top to bottom. They sell inferior frames & refuse to stand behind them, no matter how much you spend & I bought some of the most expensive ones they sell. They can't fix or repair anything and do nothing when you try to resolve the problems. The optometrist needs to find a new profession as they not good at this one. Then when you complain to corporate they also do nothing, that's if they even respond to you at all. I will never trust the safety & security of my vision to this sub standard, so called vision center ever again. read more

It's Walmart! You get good deals, you can stop in and find anything you're looking for - from toys to food to specialty diet dog foods... Walmart is a brand, and you know what you get when you walk in. It's not going to BLOW your mind and meet every standard. It's just not going to. During busy hours it can get pretty hairy. I do wish there were more employee-serviced checkout lines open during the day. Self-checkout is great, but there are not enough and the flow of those areas make no sense. I personally like being able to bag my own stuff (and know where it all is and that if something gets broken it's my own fault. Their computers aren't like Jewel's self-checkout where if you move an item off the bag carousel, it just screams at you and you can't do anything without approval from an over-worked employee. But, I digress... At this Walmart, It sure seems like maybe there should just be TWO self-checkouts on either end of the store to help mitigate some of the traffic flow, if you aren't going to staff the checkout adequately. Staff is helpful and so far, they've all been polite and kind. No complaints there read more

Upper management seems to be cleaning house. If bad , fine but if your a hard working worker, come in on time and give it your best performance daily, your still worried and concerned they will let you go for any reason. read more

By far the worst Walmart that I have ever been to! Here is an example of my last visit! I have decided to never go to the Woodstock Walmart again due to it. I had purchased a lot of items, so I was not going to use the self check out. There was ONLY 1 cashier available and she had to bag the items as well. There was a big line, but that wasn't her fault. I told her that I had a case of water underneath. I then felt bad for her, and started to help her put my groceries in the totes that I brought from home. She handed me my receipt and then took off. She left all the rest of the groceries for me to bag myself. It's bad enough in Woodstock that you have to pay for bags, but I had to do her job as well. I get to the door and the woman that checks the receipt for theft got confrontational with me. I had canned goods that were in a tray. She looked at my receipt and said that I didn't pay for them. She also said the same thing about my case of water. I insisted that I did not do self check out, and any would be errors were due to the cashier. The woman was basicly accusing me of stealing! I then said can't you verify my items with your system? She walked me over and scanned each can of food to check. Sure enough, I paid for each can. She obviously couldn't decifer what was on the receipt. She then smirked and said that my case of water wasn't showing up, so the cashier forgot to scan it. She said for me to use the self check out. After it was scanned, the self check out only accepted cash and I only had a credit card. Had to call another worker over to bring my water to another self check out to purchase. Had to wait again! This mistake from the cashier and the woman checking receipts took 30 minutes. Not counting the long wait time in line to purchase. It may not sound like a huge deal, but it is! I had a sitter for my special needs daughter and was late getting home due to this. I was late giving her medication, because of the time that all of this took. Unacceptable! My frozen foods had defrosted by the time I got home. I think it was a lady manager that kept on apologizing to me. She was kind, but it wasn't her fault. In the meantime, the lady checking receipts was so hyper focused on me for so long,....probably missed a lot of true thieves walking out of the store. She was the only Walmart employee checking receipts. Other complaints- The fridges are always empty for prepared fruits. It was empty on that day as well. It's a shame because there aren't a lot of grocery store options in Woodstock. I will give my money to a non Walmart store in another town. read more

I Live in Woodstock Illinois the managers are rude they give dirty looks judgemental one nearly plowed myself and a female over which btw the woman is a state worker on delivery they don't follow instructions they leave bags at the wrong door some are rude every time I'm in this walmart I'm harrassed by one of the managers what ever judgement they may have stick it in the butthole read more

What a dump! My wife and I were looking for something at Farm & Fleet which is just across the street from this Walmart. They did not have what we wanted so we decided to try Walmart. The place smelled bad and it looked like they had just dropped off several bus loads of people from a homeless shelter. We walked out, drove down to the Walmart on Rt. 31 in Crystal Lake and it was like night and day. The new store in Carpentersville is also much better in every way and so is the Algonquin location. read more

The handheld devices Walmart has added are such a hassle. Please focus on customer service and maybe more training on how to use the devices. The handhelds have added anywhere from 2-15 minutes to my trips. Guess I'm driving further for groceries/anything else from now on. read more

Website is an absolute JOKE!!! No inventory counts matter apparently. Why list items available in store when the are not. Your 5 available was actually 0. The store associates are not helpful and unwilling to check the stockroom. Stated the counts mean nothing and walked away from the conversation. Tried again today and was able to place an online order to pick up in store ONLY to received an email 2 hours later that our order was now cancelled. During COVID19 I really don't want to repeatably go into a store for an "in-stock" item, when it really is not and then treated poorly by the staff for asking for help. I get this item is a hot commodity right now, but get your shit together. 0 Stars!!!!!! read more

I would rather pay more and shop somewhere else. I drive past a Jewel to get to this Walmart but no more. The food at the deli is never fresh and customer service throughout the store doesn't exist. read more

Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart...cheap prices, cheap products. OK for groceries and such but their clothing, etc never lasts.

Poor stocking, bad odors. Expired foods and filth on the floors. I don't frequent Walmart stores but if this is the norm I don't see myself changing that habit. read more

worst customer service around! don't bother to ask where an item is located, they won't know or try to find help.

Walmart is Walmart. They have great prices and deals. It is nice that you can get food and clothes at the same place. One stop shopping. Their clothes department has really come along. They have a lot of nice clothes now, not just the cheap ugly ones. read more

ZERO STARS ! On 12/12 /14 at around 7am I called the Woodstock Auto Service department to inquire about price matching their online prices to a instore item (tires) that were in already instock . This male employee refused to honor the request even though its within Walmarts policy. He hung up on me several times every time I demanded his name in fear of getting reported. On my last attempt, he became rude, loud and sarcastic over the phone.... I instead contacted Antioch Walmart where my price match request was fully honored with the service desk person being as nice as can be not to mention helpful. BOTTOM LINE : Don't even bother with Woodstock Walmart because the employees don't care which starts with management ..... read more

Worst deli experience ever! 20 minute wait when there is no one else working! Employees are extremely slow rude and lazy!

So disappointed specifically with the service of two of the cashiers. I've shopped here for a long time and have always had pleasant experiences. However I got in line tonight and waited for several minutes which is absolutely fine. But when I began putting my items on the belt there were two cashiers at the register and one flipped off the light and said "sorry ma'am, we're closed." I know they saw me there the whole time and the light was on all along. I don't mind waiting in a line, but when you see me standing there, you could tell me right away that you're closing the line down so I can at least spend my time waiting in a line where I'll be helped like I was when I went into the next line and waited AGAIN. Very pleasant cashier once I waited in the second line but really ladies? I know you saw me the WHOLE TIME! Shame on you. read more

I hate this place so much I gave up going there for my New Years resolution. Things are marked different prices from what they actually ring up as, they're inconsistent in what they stock, and Walmart treats their employees like garbage. A few months ago I was checked out by an employee who complained about how she had to take an unpaid sick day for having the flu, then came back to work before she was healthy because she couldn't afford to lose any more money. Then around christmas time, I heard two employees complaining about some ethnic minorities and how "This is America, it's Merry Christmas." Glad to know you hire anti-Semites Walmart. Keep up the good work. read more

I called the Woodstock, IL Walmart. I was on hold for 15 minutes. The person who answered the phone finally came back on the phone and said what do you need? I have to help you I can't find anyone. I told her the brand, color and size what I was looking for. She put me on hold for 5 minutes. She came back to tell me that she doesn't have it. I asked if she sells that brand. She told me that we don't have that color at all. We don't even have a place for it on the shelf. I called another Walmart. The one in Harvard. The person who helped me told me that he didn't have any, but ended up finding one. I asked him if he could find out if other Walmarts had any since I needed 2. He checked. He told me that Walmart in Woodstock had 3. He also told me of other stores and how many they had. The first person I talked with lied to me. She told me that they don't sell that color, didn't even have a spot for it. She made me stay on hold for a long time and was unprofessional. I just wanted to let you know what kind of employees you hire, and how they treat potential customers. If she didn't want to work she should have stayed home instead of getting paid to do nothing but lie and pretend to work. read more

I was in this store today and was horrified. The produce section was disgusting. The lemons were solid green and fuzzy with mold. The mangos were mush with holes rotten to the center. The apples had bruises and mold in the cores. The cantelopes had looked like they were kicked around the store. The meat section smelled like bad meat blood. The trash cans in the bathrooms were spilling out with trash on the floor. When I mentioned the produce to a deli worker she rolled her eyes, laughed and joked that she would rush to get the manager. I walked away with anger. I went back through about 10 minutes later to find no manager in site and the girl still standing doing the same thing talking with 3 other employees. I took pictures of the fruit. Thankfully a very nice door greeter came to see what I was telling him about. He agreed it was disgusting and took some lemons to customer service. read more
