RUDE DISCRIMINATING RACIST PEOPLE ALL OVER!! This happened over the summer, as I was checking out my items in the self check out lane. It was busy and every check out stall had someone using it, filled with people and I can see the cashier watching only me, as I was the only Asian checking out. She accused me of not scanning an item cause she was "WATCHING ME" she said. I was speechless and shock, all these people and you're watching me. Showed her on the screen that I did scan it and all she said was "Oh!" And walked away. No apologies whatsoever. I walked out of the damn store just thinking of what had just happened, so I walked back in and talked to the csm on duty at the time. I'm not even sure what happened afterwards or if the csm even did anything about it. When you work in customer service you don't just watch the Asian woman checking out and you don't approach a customer in a rudely manner and you don't speak in a hateful tone to any customers at all. This is a genuine supercenter, no matter what some say -- they sell TV's and laptops and onions and pillows, all at 4 AM on a Tuesday. Can't get much more supercentery than that! At least in the wee hours, the joint was adequately staffed, well-stocked and organized, and they were actually working and actually paid some attention to me. This is the worst Super Center ever! Was a much better store before the renovation. Item's are hardly ever stocked, employees don't know jack about the store they work in. Slowest cashiers in the world, and never have enough check stands open, but that can be said about any Walmart. Just recently I went there and there were no shopping carts in the hold. I actually seen an employee itch her ass and I'm not talking about through her pants. Then continue to check a customer's items. Not really impressed with the employees that work at this location. Walked by at least five different employees and heaven forbid they look up and make eye contact with you. This is definitely NOT a Super-Wal-Mart. It's clean but relatively small. Greeters are always great! Probably the best thing about Wal-Mart besides low prices. Small variety of a lot of stuff - food, clothing, media, garden, jewelry, toys, sports, household etc.. read more

Normally, this Walmart is alright with their service, bit today was unacceptable. Went it to return a sub/amp combo that had never been opened. They were able to find the purchase date, the same model in store, and all information needed, however, they would not return the item even for in store credit because it had just passed 90 days after purchase. Assistant Manager "Blake" was very clear about his decision and paid no concern to the large amount of money we spend at this store. Very disappointed and will be going to corporate with the issue, I just wish they would stand by their statement about satisfying customers when it comes to returns. read more

It's a Walmart. You get what you expect- cheap crap, all in one place. Staff are relatively friendly, but don't expect anyone to be able to tell where anything is located, specs on electronics (why are you buying electronics at Walmart if you care about specs?), etc. This location recently did a lot of renovations, so it now has a grocery section in addition to the pharmacy, garden, and other sections. There is also a Subway inside for those who like to hang out at a Walmart. For better quality groceries, try Raley's nearby. For clothing, you can try JC Penney's, also located nearby. If you want alcohol, Rite Aid is actually amazingly well stocked and has generally comparable if not cheaper prices. For most other things, you will need to go here or head to another town. read more

Don't know what has happened over the past months. Your Yreka store is filthy. Parking lot looks like a dumpster, floors are dirty (especially the produce area). Have shopped her for years, but no more. When we visit Medford, their store is clean and isles are wide and always enough checkers to accomodate customers...not a 25 minute wait. I thought Walmart was suppose to be cheap. This is the most expensive Walmart ever! The customer service is crap. And to be honest the selection of food is too. One thing I hate about this store is the few check stands that are open. The staff is friendly and they are always willing to help. I am also sick of people bringing their dogs into the store when they aren't service animals. It really grinds my gears. The prices are excellent. I get almost everything from here. It's a convenient way to pay bills too. read more

We stopped here on the way to OR and on the way back. Very clean store and the bathrooms are very well maintained. I actually didn't shop here as it was a pit stop for the restroom and then the Subway counter inside. But VERY clean! read more

My husband bought some groceries on 4/26. I didn't think we would need the receipt (for food, why, right?). However, we opened our Ancient Grains wrap today (4/30), and there was mold throughout. Twice while in this store, and asking a (male) employee a question, they have replied with severe impatience/aggression. MInd you, Yreka is an odd town. Way odd. And this Walmart is creepy due to this fact. Still. I've never been treated like that in any store, anywhere. Yesterday, I made a complaint to a manager. They said they would deal with it. We'll see. Frankly, in most stores, an employee acting the way he did would be terminated. He, in effect, went into a rage when I approached the women's restroom and asked if it were open (there was a sign saying "floor wet". It was almost completely dried, or I wouldn't have asked) so it appeared that he was finished cleaning in there. He literally screamed at me grabbing his orange cone and leaving. I followed him asking his name and he refused to give it to me, slamming into some open "employee only" doors. As I said, this is the second time this has happened. Most of the employees have been courteous, and friendly, but several of the male employees are very angry appearing (hate their life kind of angry). Disturbing. This Walmart is in a strange town in rural northern California near the Oregon border. I would not shop there, ever, if there were any other option in the other nearby town of Mount Shasta, but it's all there is here. The management has their work cut out for them. read more

This is the absolute worst experience at any Walmart I've ever had. There were three employees helping one customer while another was ringing two other customers. Once the THREE employees were done with that ONE customer, the assistant manager walked away so fast that you couldn't even stop to ask for help. The employee ringing up the other two customers turned around to now talk to the ONE customer that the three employees were helping about return policies as she saw me step up. I stood there for a good 5 minutes while she talked to another customer who clearly has already been helped; a total of 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me. When I finally walked away, she finally took notice in me and yelled from down the aisle if I needed any help. No thank you ma'am. This is the absolute worse service I've had when employees blatantly are just ignoring you. Funny part of the story is, the assistant manager had to help me roll my large item to my car because it took them 15 minutes after I was already rung up. read more

This Walmart is very clean and very organized. Most of the staff is great .. although there are a few cashiers who need an attitude adjustment ,or a new job because the obviously hate theirs. The animal in the store issue is disgusting and the service animal policy is abused . The man in photo is so helpful and great , the csms are wonderful. Over all great store although anyone who frequenc this Walmart knows the 2 female cashiers who are so miserable they ruin your entire day with their bad attitude ... read more

I have shopped and cashed checks at this Walmart for the past 7 years. earlier this month, I made a major boo boo, and the new employee shorted me $100. Yep, at Christmas time, there goes my Christmas. Went back the next day, and had no problems whatsoever in getting it back. After talking to the manager, and a couple employees, I was off Christmas shopping in 10 minutes. I take offense at the previous reviewer saying this town/Walmart is strange. I love this town (and I don't live here, I live in Scott Bar) with all the people who care about me and my family. I have shopped at the Yreka Walmart for years and have always been pleased with the service. However in the last few months I have noticed a change that I can not ignore. Why are dogs allowed?? They are even in the grocery department. Some people are allergic to animals! These dogs shed hair, they rub against the clothing and who knows what else. I am very disappointed that your store would allow animals. I am not talking about seeing-eye dogs, but household pets. read more

I was very upset Friday 9/12/14, at 9:30 pm upon leaving Walmart in Yreka CA.As I exited the store, my path was blocked by a Ryan "the only security on staff" according to the Manager. I was accused of stealing "items" from the store. I told Ryan I went straight to the bathroom to change my clothes with a shoulder tote full of toiletries. When I was in the bathroom I used diaper wipes to clean up and put on lotion, deoderant and perfume. I saw about 3 women come in and leave as what I presume was a janitor kept asking if anyone was still in the bathroom. When I came out, I saw one older lady come in. When I passed through the first setof exit doors, my path was blocked. Ryan said, " II'm with Walmart security and you were seen taking things from the store. We just want our items back." I said "I walked straight to the bathroom and changed, and straight out." He said, "We know you have our items, we just want them back." I repeated what I said but he wouldn't let me pass. He saw my change of clothes and my toiletries. I said, "These are all mine." He said" Really? OK well I'm sorry but we are really busy tonight and somevody said they saw you, so." And finally moved aside so I could leave. There were not that many customers there, first of all. Second, since when is it Walmart protocol to go off of here say when accusing someone. They must have evidence. There was none because I didn't do anything. I was simply trying to cleanup in the midst of travel. I am not dressed up so that makes me a thief? How discriminatory! I asked to speak to a manager and waited 20 minutes while the managers "argued over who was going to speak to me, " according to a Customer Service cashier. The manager wrote my name down and told me there was no complaint forms. I asked him what kind of company doesn't have a complaint protocol? What kind of company is this, I asked to which I was told "Walmart."  He admitted to protocol not being followed. Then proceeded to tell me that Ryan has caught so many people and is so good at what he does. I asked him not too proceed to tell me of that since it had nothing to do with this situation. He offered no apology. In waiting for a Manager to show-up I also overheard the customer service cashier gossiping to employees about what happened. This whole situation was embarassing and publicly humiliating. This should not have happened. Plus, when I was in the bathroom, I saw an employee watching me change while in my stall. Wtf??
