Such a strange location. They have a lot of items that other Walmarts will not stock. Which makes it nice. You can run in, get what you need and then get out. Expect to have homeless people in the parking lot asking for money. And also asking when you walk out of the store Hello Walmart people. People watching at this location is pretty good. A lot of ghetto people, you almost wonder if people have mirrors at their homes when they walk out to come here. Accidents are a common place in the parking lot. So be careful. When I drove out & picked up speed on beach blvd, boom my hood flew open damaging my vehicle. The idiot tech didn't latch my hood!!!!! Thank God no one was injured. The optical department is great at this location. Karla was so helpful caring in all areas. I had the prescription and frames for my grandson. Who is only six and would not have wanted his eyes measured again. All personnel were polite and considerate but Karla really stood out putting me needs first. It's a decent Walmart. I actually haven't really shopped at Walmart until I moved to Huntington Beach. I never noticed that there weren't any in Costa Mesa or Irvine - the other two cities I've lived in. In any case, its a 24 hour Walmart - the secret is to go at night time - late night (11pm to 6am) to early morning, if you can manage. Sure, you'll have semi-crowded aisles full of stockers and boxes, but at least you won't have to put up with some of the other Walmart patrons (and they can get pretty creepy) or the crazy long checkout lines... Speaking of which, of all places in the store, Walmart decides to place their $5 bargain DVD dumpster thing in front of the checkout registers... who's brilliant idea was that? Those checkout lines are already a mess as it is, definitely do not need people just crowding around the DVD bin looking for their favorite movies. Parking is a nightmare... if you go at any time other than the hours I listed above - otherwise, you can pretty much snag "front row" parking. Walmart carries most of the general household things I need, and at good prices - although Amazon.com is also starting to head that way in prices as well - what I don't need right away, I'll still get from AMZN, otherwise I'll get it at Walmart. The one annoying thing is that occasionally, if I find something I want off their website, after checking inventory at the store, despite it saying "In-Stock", when I arrive at the store, the item I wanted isn't in stock. Heading back home, I'd check and see the item being "in-stock" again. So inventory software isn't up to date. That or the employees are just lazy (which there are a few) and not really helpful. read more

This walmart location is the place to go for all your needs whether they range from groceries, to clothes, to technology to almost anything! this location will most likely have what you're looking for, and will most of the time have items that you've punched online and set for the pickup in store. Its a big store with lots of things, and even a garden and tire center near the back (which i know some walmarts, not the neighborhood ones the regular ones, don't even have). the staff are very friendly here but I've noticed that it seems that a lot of the people working are more aged and seemingly disabled; i don't know if thats worth mentioning, but it seems as if no young or energetic people work here. one definite complain that i have for this walmart location and I'm sure that many others have as well is that there are a lot of homeless people that seem to parade around in front; it seems that all these people choose this walmart to congregate to, and as inhuman as it seems for me to be writing this, it gives an air of uncomfortability. i love to help the homeless just as much as the next person, yet there is simply too much with not enough help, especially when you trying to get your groceries and errands done and out of the way and people are constantly asking you for money for a bus ticket or gas money or story after story. parking -- yes, very big lot with many of spaces (don't mind the walk) would come back here for my needs but if i had a choice, i honestly wouldn't choose to go to this walmart and just hit up a walmart neighborhood. *** Tire Center sucks! (Westminster) *** I previous purchased a set of tires here. It was a good deal so that why I'm back. But the time it takes to change a tire is LONG! I got a flat on the sidewall so I intended on replacing the tire. However the wait was 2-2.5 hrs since there was one car in front of me. With the long wait time I decided to just purchase the tire. The rep took off to sign-in more important oil change customers. So I went inside to buy my tire. How difficult can that be? To purchase a tire, it took 30 minutes of walking around searching for the tire, then trying to convince me that I'm better off getting the service at Walmart. Once I realize that I was waiting a long time I usually start my stopwatch. I waited 30 minutes to purchase the tire in addition to the time wasted bull-shitting and waiting. When I took the tire and sent it to my local mom and pop tire shop, Guadalajara Tires, they mounted and balanced my tire in 4 mins and 57 seconds! I started my stopwatch the moment I opened up my trunk and they took possession of the new tire to mount. Heck, that's 5 MINUTES to complete the entire task. Whereas in Walmart it took over 30 minutes of walking around talking, pushing buttons on the scanner. WTF??? I almost forgot to mention my estimated time to get the one tire changed was 1-1.5 hours even with my car being the ONLY one in the bay!!! That's a lot of padding on the time. Here's the deal, if you want the shopping experience included in a clean environment Wally-mart is the place to go. The mom & pop shop was NO-FRILLS with FAST SERVICE. I really enjoy the Walmart on Von Karman in Irvine. I like the selection of food that you have it's quite immense. Some of the cashiers need attitude adjustments though. I have not once yet met a manager that was on duty. You do need more electric carts for handicapped individuals such as myself. I waited for over an hour for one then to find out it only had 15% battery capability. Maybe you could charge them more often. read more

Size can be impressive, but you need what you need, if you do not get what you need, then size comes up short. I did not find a steel, manual adjusted compass for geometry, I did not find a goatee trimmer i wanted and I they did not have my razor blades. So I came to walmart, experienced the crowds and left with nothing. Somewhat annoyed, I recall some of the positives. --Freindly young asian guy, he gave me some compass advice, this dude rocked --open 24 hours --good parking lot compared to other walmarts --customers at this walmart do not walk as slow, get in the way, steal your cart, jam aisles as much as other places. --So many Beautiful Vietnamese Women, I finally stopped to find out what city I was in. This review is geared towards the employees attending the electronics department on 12/20/2020 from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM. I do not shop for electronics at Walmart all for the good reasons. I went with my brother to this location to browse for a new laptop. We were interested in some Chromebooks on sale at a good price. Since we have never used Chromebooks before, we were unsure of whether they support music downloads. I browsed around and there were 3 employees at the station, a male and two females. I walked up to the counter where this female employee, the one with glasses and short wavy hair was looking through some stuff. I said "Excuse me," about three times to get her attention. I was only going to ask a simple question about whether the Chromebooks can store music. When she looked up, she gave me a condescending look as if I were below her. "I am helping someone right now. If you need help, you need to get in line," she ordered in a harsh tone filled with belittlement. So RUDE!!! The 3 employees seemed hateful of their jobs, hateful to extend customer service to PAYING customers. My brother and I left. This was the reason why I will NEVER shop for electronics at Walmart. Walmart - please educate your employees on how to deliver customer service. I have been back in this country for four hours but my brother needs medicine and socks for his flight to Japan so we went to this 24-hour store. I recommend this store for someone who is packing for a trip that starts less than 10 hours away. I thought this would a be good re-orientation to the U.S. If you go before midnight there are no crowds or crying babies. No one was outside asking for money this morning. Our first shopping cart had something on the handle, eww. The magazine selection could be improved on. The only other shoppers were a couple of girls looking at the birthday cards. As someone who used to work as cashier/kitchen staff/drink maker for quite a long time and thus meet all kinds of customers and their attitudes, I have always tried to be understanding and respectful towards retail workers as much as possible. Living here in CA for as long as 10+ years, I had never left a negative review for retail workers. However, today, meeting a not-so-nice one at this Walmart gets me so upset to leave a negative review for the first time ever. They usually have small plastic bags at vegetable/fruit aisles. Today, I went shopping at this Walmart, took 2 of those bags to put instant cereal cups. When I was doing checkout at a self checkout booth, one retail worker, with a really rude expression, went up to me and told me that "I have already told you before, you cannot use those plastic bags because those bags are only used for vegetables & fruits." Then I replied "Yes, I understand and I won't do it again." I also bought 2 reusable bags from the self checkout booth. She seemingly left. To be very clear here, I always went shopping at this Walmart store since it is the closest Walmart store to my house; and nobody, as in absolutely no one at this Walmart store, has ever let me know about that rule. Because if anyone did tell me, I would never do it again. Also, I was so sure I never ever talked to that lady before. As I was about to finish doing checkout, she came up to me, again, and told me "You know, it is not that hard for you to bring your own shopping bag." With all of those things she told me, she probably thought of me as someone enjoying to steal plastic bags at the store. Because of her, this will surely be my last time ever shopping at this Walmart store. I used to be a fan of Walmart when I lived in Las Vegas - open 24 hours - shopping in the middle of the night avoiding crowds, lines and noise. Had to stop by to pick up some toiletries and it's Walmart. Nothing spectacular other than easy freeway access to the 22. Ample parking if you don't mind walking, which I don't. Lots of people though. Lots of kids as well.
