Though I don't shop at Kohl's often, it's a great choice for clothes and Christmas gifts. Their women's, men's and junior sections are large. I like Lauren Conrad clothes. I've seen a decline in the quality of their fashion jewelry and handbags in the past few years though. They have a great selection of home and tree holiday decorations but their Chanukkah section is limited. A few years ago, the Black Friday purchase line literally wrapped halfway around floor level, that associates offered eggnog as we customers waited! Their customer service in general is great, including the Sephora inside. While they have good sales, the best perk is if you're a frequent Kohl's customer. You earn $15 Kohl's cash for every $50 spent. The Kohl's cash is redeemable for about 2 weeks starting within days after the qualifying purchase. I like the self-check out lanes. Unlike at a grocery store, it's fun to use a scanning tool. It might be the novelty I realize lol. An extra star alone for the excellent customer service and store cleanliness. read more

I made a mistake going to this Kohls during the day. This employee named Yahir was incredibly unhelpful and rude and I ended up having to ask this young man named Joshua (as he was leaving his shift) which I felt pretty bad about. The selection is okay but I just couldn't get over how abrasive that Yahir person was, I don't know who pissed in his cereal but it is absouletely unacceptable to treat customers that way, regardless of how his day had been going. I truly hope I do not come across him again, and I tried to ask for a manager but the manager would not respond on their walkie talkies? So I just left. Extremely dissapointing. read more

I contacted Kohls corporate office and was told to file a complaint with the store. I guess Kohls does not care about their customers and rather have the store deal with these issues. I guess we are Only important to Kohls when we are buying, but with anything else do not bother us! Customer service is dead! I had a terrible encounter with Keyra, a cashier with a bad attitude. I contacted the manager, and she apologized. But I wanted to speak to the store supervisor, so I sent Colleen an email a few months ago and still have no response! Went today (09/30/25)to return some Amazon stuff. The senior at the front taking in the packages was rude. I come up, I acknowledge him (he acknowledged everyone in front of me), said "hello" and stated I'm there to return 3 items. (I noticed he had to keep asking people in front of me how many items they had. So I did that in order to help and move things faster for him). I take the items out and tell him, we can start with the one, I have on my hand and I show him the barcode. ( This was also done because ein the past I've hand employees tell me to take out the items for them) The guy doesn't acknowledge me and completely ignored me and started scanning packages that were to the side. Took him 5 mins to finally acknowledge me. He comes towards me and I ask him " Are you ready?" he says " yes I'm ready". Like dude, if you weren't ready you could of stated " I'll be right with you in a min, I just have to scan these items real quick". Then as I'm waiting to get my return receipt, he looks at me like I'm being dumb for standing there and goes " do you need anything else? do you have another return?" " I say "No, I'm waiting for the receipt, I don't have any more returns" ( I didn't have anything else on the table so idk why he would ask, because he saw me remove the bag I had everything in ). He gave me the receipt and I say " thank you". As I'm walking away the person that was behind me goes to him, they don't say anything but he goes " hi are you here to make a return?" . I've been shopping Kohl's for years. Love the coupons BUT what a shame that the coupons have more and more exclusions. I bought a $12 children's play cell phone THINKING what a good deal I'd have when I used my widely advertised 25% off coupon. Nope! It wasn't valid on the play cell phone. It used to be that the coupons were good on most everything except Levi's or Adidas. Disappointed in Kohl's and how they are changing. Many of my friends feel the same. Kohl's - The $2.9 Billion Company That Will Nickle & Dime You. I am appalled at the lack of quality in Kohl's customer service. It used to be a company of good reputation, but I will never shop there again after my recent experience. I received a gift card as a wedding gift. My husband & I carefully selected the items we wanted online & realized that with adding a few more items we could get free shipping & also Kohl's Cash. So, we selected items from clearance for our cat. In total, we had about 6 or so items. These items were broken into 3 shipments & one pick-up order. We picked up the order with ease & ended up using a Kohl's cash I had received to purchase an additional item while at the pick-up. Then, we received 2 of the shipped orders right at our doorstep. However, a week went by without any news about our 3rd order. I checked the tracking and found out that the package was returned to sender due to location not being found. I was never notified of this change. (Problem #1) How can 2 packages find their way to our doorstep no problem & the 3rd just happens to not find it? (Problem #2) I contacted customer service, which was it's own ordeal of trying to track down am actual form of contact & a real human being. I finally managed to secure a messaging chat on their customer service website & spent nearly 2 hours trying to get a solution. (Problem #3) I explained the issue & my frustration & was told that I would receive a gift card in the mail for the same price as the missing items. I would then have to re-order the items. And contact customer service again (which is no easy feat) to ensure that I get the same prices as before. I literally would have to go to extra effort myself in order to resolve the mistake that their company made (Problem #4). Additionally...if the original order couldn't make it to my address in the first place, what assurance did I have that the gift card & the replacement order would arrive? Couldn't they be lost & returned to sender too? The customer service manager did not offer any valid reassurance for this legitimate concern. (Problem #5). As this was an issue caused by the company & not by an error of my own, I asked for additional compensation for my time, frustration, & difficulty. This request was made because I worked in customer service for 5 years & if something was wrong with someone's experience of the company I worked for, I would compensate them for their trouble. Common curtesy. I was flat out refused & told that if I wanted a full refund, I would have to return the other items I purchased. (Problem #6). I ended up having to end the conversation because I had an appointment to go to. Weeks later, I received the gift card in the mail. I was told by the customer service manager on the messaging chat online that I would receive a gift card with the amount of $12.52. However, attached to the gift card was a receipt stating that they kept $4.87 & only gave me $7.65 on the gift card. (Problem #7) The receipt explained that the reason for this reduction was because I used the Kohl's cash when I picked up the item in store that I ordered. At no point was I informed that this would impact my refund for their shipping error. (Problem #8). Isn't Kohl's cash an additional coupon that they give you on top of your order, for being a loyal customer? Why is it then being applied as a reduction to the gift card they are giving me to so-called resolve the issue that they created? That's just plain greedy & mean. (Problem #9). It's about a month since all this originally occurred. I don't know if I'll use the measly $7.65 gift card. What am I going to buy with that little, anyway? I can't even buy all the items I originally ordered & never received - which is the purpose of this gift card. I'm sure no one in the company will read this & nothing will be done to actually resolve this massive issue. But I honestly hope someone in the company reads it & knows that they ruined my experience with a lovely wedding gift I got for my wedding. Save yourselves time, effort, & grief. Save your money. Don't shop at Kohls. read more

As far as department stores go, I prefer Kohl's over the rest of them. Honestly, with all the sales, coupons, and Kohl's cash back given, it makes buying things here very affordable to the point where you question there profit margin. I also like that Kohl's has partnered with amazon to make things easier to return things. I was able to return something I didn't want with ease. Update to my previous post: I attempted numerous times on multiple days to reach out to Kohl's corporate office via their customer service department and was refused contact information. After 4 days of no success, I had a family member assist me in calling to obtain this information. After speaking with Carlos and Max (managers at Seal Beach location) and also being refused that information; he was finally able to obtain contact information for the district manager "Brandon". Colleen was made aware of this and was more concerned about why I asked a family member to assist me in getting this information than the incident that occurred. She stated that she didn't understand why he was calling to obtain this information if he did not have custody of my daughter. He shared no details when he spoke with "Carlos and Max" about who he was and what this was concerning. If Kohl's management spent just as much time in addressing this matter as they did in finding out the identity of the person who called all of this could have been avoided. I reached out to Brandon, Thursday night via email after I got off work and received a call from him Friday morning. He apologized for the actions of his staff and stated this matter was escalated to the highest person possible and would not be handled at his level. He advised this process usually takes 2 weeks to investigate as they needed statements from "Ginger, Heather, Carlos and Hayden". He expressed that since this is done internally there would be no other update or information that could be provided to me regarding this incident. After waiting five days to discuss this matter. I am extremely disappointed as it does not seem like this will be addressed head on. I have no faith in this company as a whole as clearly they are simply brushing me off with words they think will pacify me. It is apparent Kohl's does not care about its customers! My daughter and I will definitely be taking our money else where. read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service. A few years ago, the check out line had style, it was efficient and staff was friendly. I remember enjoying the shopping experience. Now, not only have they revamped the checkout line to outsource the work of the cashier to the customer in the theft-enhancing self-checkout, but, I decided not to use it and stood in line to have a cashier check me out, because no one else was in line. One cashier walks out and apparently clocked out. The other is checking someone out then walks away from the counter to go help someone struggling with self checkout, and the third is literally standing there just chatting someone up. I was the only person in line and stood there for 15 min. When I asked the guy chatting someone there for help, he looked at me with wide eyes, like... How dare you?... and told me no one was available. He finishes his leisurely conversation, and THEN, he tells me, "I can help you over here" and deigns to ring me up. It's about 7:12 now. It's been 15 minutes. One item doesn't have a price tag. He literally prefers to put the item down, saying something like it couldn't be sold due to inventory purposes, and decides NOT make the sale when I told him I valued my time more than the dog toy, or something like, "how much longer will this take? I have to be somewhere..." he is literally searching the web for the item. He prefers to GIVE UP... then I asked, "Can't a manager estimate a fair price so I can buy the item?" thinking WOW, what a skilled salesman, isn't the whole point of sales to sell? He says "Sure this other person will help you," and then he just splits and apparently makes a beeline for the exit... and it takes her, the person that came on, another 5 minutes to estimate a fair price, and then she goes "I can take you over here" like she didn't realize and the guy who slips didn't even inform you he was in the middle of ringing me up - and I say, "Well all my stuff is here" and I'm pointing to the plastic bag full of my purchases. She had no idea. I was the only person in line at 6:57 pm and I LEFT the register with my purchases at 7:22. It took TWENTY FIVE MINUTES because no one there was apparently much inclined to work. Great shopping experience. I think I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on. The incompetence and sheer idiocy of the average retail worker is just NEXT level. No wonder everyone is shopping online. read more

I don't recommend that you use self check out where there is an employee helping you scan your items at the self check out. The employee failed to hand me back my 30% off coupon as I still was able to use it. Further, he did not give me my Kohl's cash receipt, totaling $20 for the items I purchased that day, instead, it was emailed to me. when I went online a few days later to try to redeem my $20 Kohls cash. What do you know the number and pin are not recognized. There's a problem with the cash coupon. Folks always finding ways to scheme. read more

My review for this Kohls still remains the same. Poor Customer Service in every possible way. First, I had a few items put on hold for the following day because my Kohls cash would not be available until the first of the month (December 1). I was informed they would be put on hold for 24 hours, which equals a full day or until closing as anyone would expect for the following day. The following day I called the store only to be greeted by an associate with no sales etiquette. I explained that I had a few items on hold from the day before and would like to extend it for another day because I was unsure that I could make it before closing. He just said OK and left me on hold. As a result, I ended up just going to the store only to find out that my items were not on hold. Seriously, unbelievable! I literally explained my situation to multiple associates and the manager, but no resolution or accommodation. All of this was happening while my child with special needs was crying because she wanted to leave the store. If my items were put on hold as promised, then I could have left the store unstressed. To make the most of the situation, I decided to look around in hopes of recovering any items that I had placed on hold on the floor. I found 2 out of the 6 items, but the stress only added on. Since I found more items for purchase upstairs, I would have appreciated the associate to help me with my purchase to avoid going downstairs since there was a line and I had a child with me. NOPE! She said no and that she only did returns. The problem with this situation is that she refused to help me (there was no one in line) after I explained my situation about the store not keeping my items on hold. She could have easily done the transaction if desired, but since this store has zero Customer Service expect nothing but disappointment. I am a frequent customer at this location, so I am familiar with their sales locations and returns. I definitely do not recommend shopping here, but if you do come here be warned about leaving more stressed than when you came in the store. read more

My younger brother got a gig to cook tacos for a retirement party at my friend's bar last December. He realized he needed to get a new stainless steel griddle so we tried for a few days to get this missing part for his portable grille so he could use it for this party but couldn't get the right one in time. We finally found a temporary substitute online at Kohls on the day of the party. We were so excited because we had not had any success until then. We quickly drove to Kohls and found what we were looking for. I had some online coupons that I wanted to use so I immediately looked up the items on my phone and saw that they were cheaper online than the price on the shelf. I placed the order grabbed the two items I had just purchased and walked toward the pick-up counter. After standing in line for a few minutes, I encountered an employee named Audrey and explained our predicament. I told her that we had to be somewhere in an hour and couldn't wait for the two hours it normally takes to pick up our online order. I understand that this is unusual and not how the process normally works but could they make an exception and process our order to help us out? She was immediately turned off at my request and said, "Thats not how it's done. They are several online orders ahead of you that have to be picked first." The way she said it was so rude and loud enough for the gentleman behind me to hear it. I couldn't believe it!! I ordered it, paid for it, picked the order, and brought it to the counter only to be told "That's not how it works!" I was so upset that I sought out the manager and ended up downstairs by the checkstands waiting to talk to her. I spoke with Cathy (Shift Mgr) and not only did she empathize with me and my frustration but apologized on behalf of the rude employee. I would not have gone back to Kohl's ever again if it was not for her. I was planning on canceling my Kohl's card that day! But Cathys actions detoured me from doing that. By the time I was walking out of the store, she had processed my order, made me and my brother laugh, and handed me a $10 credit towards my next purchase. I have not been back since but I am not boycotting them just yet. I can only hope that this store improves the training of their employees in customer service. I'm not a big Kohl's shopper, but this location is the main one I visit. I mainly do online pick up and each experience has been very fast and smooth. I've been to other stores were lines were horrendous. The Amazon return area is right when you enter the store and the line is never that long either. Very convenient. I recently ordered premium Hanes boxers for my man, and I am very happy with the quality compared to the ones available at Target for the same price. There is a big difference with the material used. Probably will purchase them here moving forward. The Vans shoes sold here (ex: wards) are not like the ones available at official Vans store, but they are decent for normal street wear. The canvas is not as thick and will most likely rip faster. If you skate, don't buy them here. Recently bought 5 pairs thinking they were the same, but noticed right away that they were slightly different. Decided to keep them anyway 'cuz they were priced significantly less than normal Vans and still cute. read more

Be careful when returning something at Kohl's. They rip you off. I used two $50 Kohl's gift card on an item. Instead of giving me back the $100 back on a merchandise credit, they only gave me back $67.38 on the merchandise credit that doesn't expire and gave me $30.00 in Kohl's cash that expires in 30 days. Kohl's gift cards do not expire. The total didn't add up to $100. I was only given back $97.38. I spoke to a manager and she could not see the mistake. Then she said as a courtesy she was going to give me the money from the Kohl's cash back on a Kohl's gift card. I was there for like an hour trying to get her to see the mistake, but she could not see how wrong that was. This wasn't a courtesy. I should have got the hundred dollars back on a gift card or merchandise credit card without any hassle. The customer service there is horrible! Make sure you read your receipts so they don't rip anybody else off. read more
