Costumer service: I have been treated horrible when I have gone to the pharmacy and also when I have called in to speak to an associate! This one cost me $500 to tell you what is really going on. Wallmart Optical in Windsor .. is NOT a Walmart Store operation. I just had some phone calls with Corporate HQ and the Windsor Manager, and discovered that it is Walmart Policy to sublet or shop out some of their stores to private business AND give them the Walmart name. Even on the receipt, they give you it says 'Vision Center - Vision Center Inside Wallmart' With that said I went there thinking it was Wallmart and the people do not correct that misperception. I wanted to purchase 2 identical corrective glasses with the 2nd one at a discount. I was told the second one is 50% off. Good, let's do business I said. Sat down to complete the sale as it is a complicated medical process. At the end of the sale, the full price was quoted to me as the computer said so. I asked about the discount, too late for that. The supervisor was there and also informed me that discount is not for walk-in customers with cash. The discount only applies to insurance policy holders. I let the sale go through after all the disappointment and made a personal vow not to do this vision purchase with Wallmart as I was a return customer. Anyhow the Windsor Walmart is a great store with wonderful people. I lived in Sonoma County for decades before I had to move for economic/legal reasons. Just from now on, I have to be sure that the Walmart I am in really is Walmart and not some other private business using their name with the Walmart permission. If I had know ahead of time what really was going on, I never would have walked into this place. I urge you Yelp corrective lense people not to go here either. read more

Although this particular Walmart has made an attempt to carry some fresh food, meat and other grocery items, the same general rules apply. Absolutely no help! The morale is terrible! Customers are unhappy with lack of service. Exhausted and annoyed after to locate an item or a person to get some help! Fed up with long lines, prices that are incorrect at the register when the tag says something else and the Cashier is powerless to do anything. Someone is called and then 10 minutes or more passes and a 'grumpy' person may show up. Many of the employees are so busy 'sharing problems' with each other that they don't have time for customers and if they do, they point in a general direction and tell you, 'it's over there'...which in a 30,000 sq. ft. store (guessing), isn't much help. The electronics Dept. tends to be helpful. The store is constantly being re-arranged so it does require a great deal of wandering. I tired to buy a new coffee pot. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't neatly stacked underneath the the display. 20 minutes later, after I located a small stack of them, I had to dig through a pile of them to find one that wasn't in a dented box. They do sell a unique foldable, quite handy box with handles.No one else carries these! I have tried to order them on line from Wamart and can't get them. I was at the store repeatedly ordering them. The order was for a large quantity, written down by a Manager. Saw two left one day when I was in there and asked why I wasn't called when the merchandise came back in. Three 'Managers" later I was told that it was either lost, or the person wasn't authorized to take an order! This happened twice. I'm done! Good luck entering or exiting this location without being asked for money, your phone, wallet or purse. Not worth the stress and unpleasantness. read more

Money was stolen out of my car by one of their mechanics. This is the first time money has been stolen from my cat in this manner. They denied it, saying their guys had never stolen...like they'd admit it. I know my dollar bill was there folded up in a receipt when I left the car and when I came back it was gone. Also, they said they would call me when my car was done, as I said I would be waiting at Starbucks, but they never called me. I tried calling them 3 times but they never answered their phone! I had to go wait in line to check on my car. As I waited their phone rang and rang while everyone ignored it. I prefer to pay more at a shop with some ethics and some customer service. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!!! My husband drove there to order tires 2 times as we needed to leave town. They promised they would be there mid-day Friday and they said that they were just not there and will not be there until Monday!! During this call the rep hung up on my husband and never called back. I will never go to Walmart for tires or anything else! Slightly cheaper products and horrible customer service!! This place works for all though NEVER come in on a Sunday it terribly busy I remember one time it was almost dark I need to get home and I was luck a cash register was open up so I got home and phew I didn't know if I was going to be in thare until midnight!!!!! read more

don't get me wrong, i love walmart, but their customer service needs a major makeover. i've used the site to store delievery option a ton of times and everytime i go to pick my package up 3 to 4 employees walk right past me, never asking if they can help, it's almost like i'm invisable! but unfortunetly the free shipping and cheap prices force me back :( read more

Walmart gets a lot of bad press sometimes but I do have to say that the Pharmacy department saves me over a hundred dollars every time I buy a prescription there. Standing in line is a pain but every time I finally get to the check stand in the Pharmacy department, the woman there is always incredibly nice and makes up for the rather strange world I enter when I walk through its front doors. read more

Management should look in to why the automotive department can not answer the phone. Call the department via the direct line after the going through the call center three time and being transferred over. She gave me the direct line 836-7400 and I call that line 25 times in an hour and a half with nobody answering the phone. This is a big problem, especially if it relates to a client that spends a couple of thousand dollars a year at this store. Makes one think about shopping someplace else with those dollars. read more

I placed an order online this morning and selected the Site to Store option. It states you will receive an email within 4 hours that you need to print out and bring with you in order to pick up the item. It's been over 4 hours and no email. I called and was told they did not receive the order yet and that "sometimes it takes a while." The woman I spoke with said that she was the first one to login to the computer today. Why didn't she login earlier than 1:30 p.m.? I wanted to pick up the order by 2:00 at the latest. I guess I'll cancel the order. I suggest no one use this option since it apparently doesn't work. read more

With getting items, they have what I need but the lines are awful. The store is packed and 3/4 the registers are not being operated. Are you serious? However, this rant is saved for the auto department. Terrible service. I was trying to order two new tires for my car and the person running the register said they did not sell the particular type of tire I wanted and was trying to get me to get a lower priced, but very much lower quality, tire. I said I would order online, which I did. A week later, I went back to get them installed and, after waiting about 20 minutes while seeing one guy work the register while two other guys just standing around and talking, I told the person at the register my situation. The worker (it was not the same person) told me they had that one in stock and that I should not have ordered them online. When I explained that I was told they were not being sold there by another worker, he responded "no, you are wrong, we have them" in a very ticked off tone. So first guy either did not know, or he was just trying to get me to buy different tires for some kind of commission. Either way, unprofessional. I have gotten my oil changed their twice (two times to many) and their are always problems. No one comes out to talk to you, and if someone does they tell you to leave your car parked in line and go inside. However, I did that once and a worker, who was driving a forklift, was trying to get through the line of parked cars (rather than going around) to get some items. He was cussing up a storm about the situation and trying to get his fellow employes to move the cars, which no one did. The other time I had my oil changed, I also had my tires rotated, which added over two hours to the service (two cars ahead of me getting theirs rotated, which in other places takes 20-25 minutes per car and I was told it would take an hr for everything tops). After an hour and a half I went to check on the status. Once again, a long line, and the worker called over his fellow employee (who was just messing around with cardboard boxes and sighed heavily when asked) to help me. He walked over and, in a very rude and snotty voice said "he doesn't even have paperwork, what does he want?" when I asked about the time, he explained the situation in a very annoyed manner. After another 45 minutes or so I got my car. However, the person ringing me up was asking ME questions such as "you got your tires rotated, right?" So you are wondering why I have gone there three times? It is the price, they are much cheaper than the competition. However, I will start taking my service to other places and pay the extra ten bucks and be out an hour and a half sooner. It is a joke there. read more

I have come to this store very many times, and I used to be a regular customer. Overall, the customer service is not good. Although, the checkout people have been much more friendly that those on the floor. I have had mannnnny experiences of bad service. This includes people just forgetting me and never assisting me. People telling me they don't know the answer to my question and not even bothering to find out the answer. People ignoring me when I was waiting at one of the service counters. When I've returned stuff, with the receipt, the clerk made me feel terrible and treated me as though I stole those items, (which I did not!) When I had issues with my glasses and the coating was peeling I took them back, within the warranty time-line, and they told me it was peeling because my eyelashes were too long. I have been wearing glasses for over 25 years and I have NEVER had the coating peel from my glasses before. They replaced them and they peeled again! They blamed the length of my eyelashes again. (Funny, because in fact, I have short eyelashes that don't even reach my lenses when I blink). When I reminded them that they had told me this they told me it was because I was using the wrong thing to clean the glasses. I used what they told me to use, how they told me to use it because I was so paranoid something would go wrong with this pair of glasses. When I mentioned this, they stopped coming up with reasons. I relayed my experience to several other people that purchased glasses from them and they complained of the same problem, (peeling of the lenses). Bad quality product. I will not buy glasses from them again. I sucked all this up and just shopped there anyway because the prices were so low, but I don't think I will go there anymore. On a positive note, the prices for many items can't be beat. Sometimes they are even cheaper than buying online. I have had a few experiences of really good customer service though. (1) I needed help with some new fish I had purchased and the person that helped me in the pet section was very knowledgeable and friendly. I asked him several questions and he was able to help me and he made some great recommendations on products that would help my fish and me to maintain a healthy aquarium for them. (2) I was looking for a specific makeup product, which walmart did not carry. The employee was very helpful, and she recommended a great similar product. (3) While I didn't have a great last experience in the optical department, I had good experiences there too. They were always friendly and respectful. The optometrist is always super friendly. If you can go there and just see the optometrist, you will be happy. I recommend taking the prescription to another establishment. read more

This review is for the Walmart Auto Tire department in Windsor CA. I bought 8 tires from them with lifetime balance and rotation. I went there at around 8:30 am on 12-31-17 to get my tires balanced. I was told that I'm the 6th on the line and may take up to 2 hours, which means it should not take more than 2 hours. Cars that came in later than I did come and go but they never took care of me. Well, it was already 11:30 am when they called me just to tell me that only 3 out of 4 tires can be balanced. Because of that reason they decided not to do anything on the other 3 tires. I asked if they can do the other 3 tires and they said yes can and they will take care of them right away. At around 12:45 pm my car was not even taken care yet so I decided to just take my car keys back and just took off. The customer service at Walmart Windsor Tire was the worst customer service I've ever dealt with and I will never go back there anymore for tire related service. They will make you wait for a very long time if they know that you have a lifetime tire balance and rotation. It is better to go somewhere else even if you pay a little more, waiting for a very long time and not getting the service you need is not worth it. I will give it a zero rating if I can. read more

auto center guys are horriable and screwed my gf sent her in for a tire patch or two tires and she came home with a patched tire and one new tire on the other side yes they changed the good tire not the one with the hole then put the new one up front next to an old one on a front wheel drive vehicle thats how you blow differentials folks they all said thats what she wanted then one guy came back from lunch and said they ran out of tires but had already for some reason changed the other front tire and he said they patched it temporary til they got tires in stock but failded to tell my girlfriend not to drive the car long distances then the next week they never called saying they got the tire so i went in explained how what they did was stupid they agreed to refund the tire patch and would just sell me another tire to match but again no phone call good service isnt cheep cheep service isnt good theres a reason these people work at the cheepest tire shop in town they are the worst tire guys in town read more

I have never used Walmart/Windsor's tire sevice - but as per the yelps, it looks as if that area needs some help/direction. As for the rest of the store, I have never had a bad experience. There are a number of items that I buy routinely and 9/10 times there are sufficient quantities. That 10th time, I just come back. Someone ranted about the checking of receipts upon exit, really? Guess that person has never gone to Costco. Prices are incredible, and the variety of items carried is incredible. I don't find the employees unhappy as some posters relate (political?). They carry mostly the same products as the targets/best buy. I had often heard they only have Chinese or overseas cheap goods (again, political?) didn't know snapple, Oreos, coke, Pepsi etc., we're all shipped in from overseas. Dog food, salt, paper products, light bulbs, food in general are all as cheap or cheaper than other stores. For me, it is a good experience. read more
