Our last purchase was a comfortable one recliner. About a weak after receiving it, we noticed one of the legs was broken. We then called Cole's to report it. I purchased a sofa and a recliner from Cole's in 2024. My top priority was it had to be comfortable. Both are high quality (expensive) pieces that look pretty but are not especially comfortable. The designer will come to your house and measure your space and help you pick pieces and fabrics from their showroom. But of course, you're paying for that service in the price of the furniture. If I loved my new furniture, I wouldn't mind the additional cost but unfortunately, I don't love it - it's just okay. And I spent a lot of money to only have 'okay' pieces. read more

They list wonderful furniture, but they don't have stock. I placed an order for a sideboard that was supposed to be "in stock for delivery from the manufacturer" - 10 weeks later they admit that "the manufacturer oversold and is sourcing parts to build more" but despite the complete deception they refuse to cancel the order and just stop replying. This is abhorrent service and I will NEVER order anything again from them. read more

Over the years Cole's has furnished almost every room in my home. The quality of their furniture and the prices there are superior to other furniture stores and should a problem arise they are quick to correct it. I didn't feel very welcome here when looking for som finish touches for my home. I feel like the didn't want to help me because I was only looking for a door and some hardware. We did place a lumber order with them (we replaced our fence). The wood was a good quality, the order was correct and the delivery was prompt. DONT BUY FROM THEM. Save your money and shop elsewhere. They ruined my house. The installers trashed my house with mud everywhere and permanently damaged some areas of my floors. Then I find out they installed the wrong products on my windows. One of the windows they did is now permanently damaged and I can't open that window anymore. They offered me $100 credit on a over $4000 purchase. Lol what a joke. Its been a couple months and the blinds are broken already and I keep finding random pieces on the floor. This place is over priced and sells trash quality window shades. I expected to pay a premium for premier service. I got the exact opposite. read more

Not worth the money! Let me start by talking about their overpriced low quality products. I ordered custom blinds, so you can imagine these were not cheap. I expected a much better quality product, blinds keep breaking. No resolution as Coles does not want to make it to right. We recently purchased window coverings for our new home in Benicia. We stopped by the store to make an appointment with a designer to come to our home to assist with our decision. There was a mistake in the scheduling and one of the owners, Zack Cole came to our home the same day. He was so informative and helpful with choosing the best designs! We chose to outfit our home with Hunter Douglas motorized shades. They are absolutely beautiful! We love the ease of operation and ability to program them from our phones. Zack even called us a few days later to check in. really bad service. I tried 2 times to get a quote or information on drapes/window treatments. the first time on the phone, staff Nancy had me on the phone for a good 30 min. explaining what I was interested in, and said someone would call back. nothing. I went in to the store the second time, spent another 45 minutes with Nancy explaining what I wanted, drew a picture, wrote down my phone number etc. and she promised someone would call me. nothing. its really unprofessional to waste people's time. if you are too busy just say so... don't promise what you cannot deliver. meanwhile a whole month goes by as I am waiting and trying to get an answer that never materialized. read more

We like to give positive reviews for outstanding experiences. My wife and I just purchased a custom leather sofa and a recliner. The service at Cole's Interiors was exceptionally good. After shopping at other furniture stores, we know there's a wide range of leather quality and construction. Within 2 weeks, we visited the showroom three times. April, a designer, gave a complimentary in-home consultation. She was excellent...experienced, sensitive, knowledgeable, considerate, and very patient. One of the high points of our remodel/move. We started off with Costco's referral service for Hunter Douglas shades, but the representative was pretty bad. I Google'd "Hunter Douglas" and up came Cole's, as a showroom. We were greeted by the owner, Jim Cole, who was very helpful and set up an in-home appointment for measuring and samples. We were expecting another representative, when Jim arrived at our home about a week later. Jim helped with our selection and his prices were comparable to Costco's, even with Costco's sale! Cole's even provided temporary shades until the new shades arrived. The installation was equally painless; prompt and efficient. Jim called today to follow up on our installation and I told him how pleased we were with our experience. We'll be back for future projects! Support local businesses! read more

I highly recommend Cole's Interiors in Concord. The team at Cole's is fantastic and the selection of furnishings is very good. I ordered beautiful leather recliners after trying club chair style recliners in the showroom. I am extremely pleased with the quality, appearance and comfort of my new chairs. The furniture here is high end and very pricey. Sadly, the quality does not match the price. I purchased a sectional three years ago that cost me over $12k. It looked great at first, but quickly began to deteriorate. Because I live alone, I only sit on one end of it. At the time I purchased it, I was working in San Francisco, living in an apartment there, and only came to my house on weekends. I retired about a year ago and moved full time into my house. The attached images show what one side of the sectional looks like as opposed to the side which I've sat on. The worn out looking side was that way within a few months of me purchasing it even though I only sat on it on the weekends. In addition, you can see the color wearing off the entire length of the armrest even though no more than my elbow is ever resting on it. One picture shows peeling/discoloration on the arm in an area that is never touched by anything so i don't know what caused this. Since Cole's Interiors did not make the sectional, I don't hold them responsible for the quality of it, but I certainly wish I hadn't been charged so much for something that was going to wear out within a few years...hence the 4 stars instead of 5. read more

So happy with Cole's right now. Purchased a couch for $4,000 in 2017 that began to show wear in 2020 even though I lived alone and didn't really sit on it that much. Spoke to Zack about it, sent pictures, and finally had Jim come to take a look at it. They ordered new fabric for me and re-did the worn cushions. I'm so happy! Entering Coles Interiors a gentleman was at the front desk greeted me with a somewhat nod. After several minutes of browsing the studio I was never greeted from the staff, mind you I am the only potential customer in the showroom. I kept looking at some interesting pieces I was interested in went towards 2 of the staff they never acknowledged me to see what I needed or wanted. What a Poor representation of the store and its staff. I was prepared to buy several pieces that suited my taste, but the only taste I had was a bad one from distasteful staff. I thought establishments like this were in the money making business not ignoring customers ready to spend their money. ..what a shame such conduct is still business. I give Coles a thumbs down for Customer Service. This company may have been in business 40 years but, it could come to an end with this type of unacceptable service. read more

He helped us w/ a big remodeling project with everything from carpeting to wooden window shutters, to furniture (floor samples and custom sofas, bar stools, coffee tables, accessories, etc). I was thrilled with Cole's from beginning to end. A designer, April, came to my home and listened to my ideas concerning colors and durability of fabrics for new furniture and area rug. The following week I met her at the Cole's showroom and she "nailed it". She offered me a couple of options and it took me no time at all to make a decision. She did her homework and it paid off. She made what could have been a confusing decision, an easy one. Cole's is a family run company and it shows. While at the showroom I enjoyed seeing the owner and his son share a couple of lighthearted moments and I could relate since we also are a small family run business and we have fun while offering the utmost in customer service. Our order was completed as expected and I love the results. To top off the Cole's experience was the day of delivery. The two young men who delivered the order were so great! Jim has accomplished the interiors of one mountain condo and one urban condo, for me, from scratch. Additionally, he has transplanted and adjusted someone else's interior from one urban condo to another. Jim has designed and directed the acquisition of all new materials to accomplish an interior and accommodated/updated family keepsakes for their inclusion. He has rescued the mistakes of a contractor. Jim's designs have included everything from the wallboards/floorboards up and out and they have been fantastic. I have been so disappointed in the service received at Cole's Interiors. I was so excited when we ordered our custom made counter height table and four chairs, along with two bar stools. Despite the delay in delivery time I was really looking forward to our new furniture. The table and chairs were exactly what I had expected (there were floor samples), however the bar stools (no floor sample) on the other hand were a real disappointment - they did not look like the catalog picture - they look like chairs without a back. When ordering we discussed with the sales rep the look of the seat on the bar stool pointing to a photograph to the left of the catalog picture. Never were we informed that photograph was not the bar stool we were ordering. I have taken the bar stool to Cole's to point out the discrepancy - asked that Jim Cole give me a call to see what could be done. I have left two messages for JIm -and have received NO RESPONSE. This is so disappointing - very rude - and totally unprofessional behavior for a business that has (had) a good reputation. I will never order from a catalog again, and doubt I will ever step foot in Cole's again. To be totally ignored is beyond me. The courtesy of a reply - if only to say they would not be doing anything to work this out - would have been appreciated. The sales rep obviously did not know her product.
