This is a long overdue review but I didn't want to miss an opportunity to say what a fantastic job the team from Walsh did. We moved in October during the heat wave but our team, Gino, Luis, Charlie, and Kenneth didn't let that slow them down. We had a difficult move with stairs on both ends but they tackled them without complaint. The entire process of moving with this company was great and we would definitely use them again! Warning! Think twice about contracting with online moving companies. Yes, they offer low prices based on a "Binding Agreement" but it ends there. Then there are companies like Walsh Moving and Storage who literally rescued me from a company from hell. Tom sent an estimator to the house, and the shipping cost from Los Angeles to Rapid City, So. Dakota was very fair in fact far lower compared to some of the DIY services (UHaul, UBox, etc). Tom was on top of my move and provided me the date of delivery. Since a large moving van cannot access our road, he arranged to have my furniture off loaded to another smaller truck - no problem. The drivers were polite and organized. In fact the movers in LA were thorough, organized, and friendly making sure all was well as they packed my stuff. Very difficult to move from my home of 51 years. We were planning a move from Torrance to Northern California and, of course, read YELP reviews for moving companies. WALSH MOVING AND STORAGE had amazing reviews and after speaking to the owner Thomas, we were confident we found the right company with whom to do business. Kenneth came to our home to provide an estimate. This quote turned out to be the EXACT AMOUNT due at the time the job was completed! No surprise charges! This being one of many moves for us, we were also IMPRESSED by the promptness of their arrival on moving day!!!! Four experienced movers worked efficiently, respecting our furniture and home moving things carefully down two flights of stairs! We opted to store our belongings for two nights allowing us time to drive our vehicles to our new residence. Joe, who worked so diligently on moving us out of our home, called the night before his arrival to confirm he would arrive at 6 a.m. as we had requested. Just as he said, he and two movers arrived ON TIME the next day! Once again, this move in was just as efficient as the move out! Walsh Moving helped me move this summer. They were nice, fun, and did a good job moving. It was a big move, it took from 8am to 10pm, and we had 6 guys- Andres, Gino, Allen, Alvin, Omar, and Vert. They remained pleasant, were professional, and kept moral up even when my husband and I were exhausted. Many of my boxes ended up in the right rooms, but some ended up in the garage but I think that had to do with time constaints at the end of the evening, so I won't fault them for that. Overall I was really happy that I used this moving company, I've referred friends, and I think you will be really happy that you went with these guys. read more

Moving is stressful. They gave me a good quote with a timeframe of 2-20 days to deliver my furniture (out of state), which is better than the other companies who would not give me a time frame for a "partial load". The packers were on time and professional. Very little was broken in transit. The challenge you have is when will your furniture arrive? We scheduled one day, then it moved to the next, then the truck broke down so it was another - which created problems with getting off work and scheduling internet providers, etc. Had I gotten an apology I would have given them 4 stars, but no apology, only "it happens". I would recommend them, but if you are moving out of state, expect the back end of the days they give you for delivery and you must be flexible. read more

Warning! Do not use this moving company! I scheduled a move 2 weeks in advanced they called 3 times 24 hours prior to the scheduled move day to reschedule, when they finally arrived late, they couldn't understand while I was upset. After asking to speak to there supervisor I went back into my place for a few minutes only to return back outside to discover that they had left with out any warning, not a good bye, nothing just abandoned the customer. without doubt the most unprofessional "business" that I have ever encountered, I say again stay away from Walsh moving company, they are bad people. read more

Frank and James did a great job. They were an hour ahead of the estimated time quoted me and did a great job getting the job done without breaking anything! I moved from a 2 bedroom house with probably about three bedrooms worth of furniture with some tough stairs, to a bigger house. Once they got things settled in my new place, both guys went above and beyond and hooked up my dryer and stove! This is my second time using Walsh moving company and I'd do it a third time, although I hope this will be my last move for a long while! read more

I can't imagine a better moving company. Manny and Larry arrived on time, ready to go, and moved in half the time that was estimated. Not only that, but they were incredibly helpful about things I didn't expect. For instance, how to get blue poster putty off-the-wall, where to put a chair to improve traffic flow in the living room, and how to avoid a bed cracking a mirror behind it. Worst moving experience ever!!! I used this company 2 years ago and the movers were professional polite and did a great job. Unfortunately frank was a complete jerk and complained the whole time and gave me attitude I felt bad for Louis the guy working with him. Frank was complaining that he works with old drunks and cussing and complaining. Worst attitude. Then when we got to my new place the maintenance guys came to install my blinds and frank gave them so much attitude and they told me they weren't comfortable working with him and there and left! Which now I have to wait until tomorrow to get them done... I confronted frank about it and he said, good they were in his way... he's a loser with a bad attitude. I still tipped them both 20$ each because I felt bad for the other guy but I wish I never used them... I never write reviews either but I'm mind blown on how horrible they are and wanted to warn others. I'm very disappointed. read more
