They showed up on time, brought everything I might need, wrapped my mattress up before placing it in the truck, and wasted no time. I honestly question the good reviews on here. Two guys came hours late and in a very bad mood because the move they did earlier in the day ran overtime which is totally not my fault. All they had to do was move stuff that was wrapped up in a storage room into my new apartment. Here's what went down: 1. They broke a bookshelf and tried to lie about it. The guy came inside my new place holding the bookshelf saying he couldn't put it down because it was broken. He insisted it was already broken in the storage unit but if that were true, how could it have been standing earlier?? 2. I caught them DRAGGING MY MATTRESS on the floor! WTF, if I can pick it up why can't you?? It was a new mattress and now filthy! 3. I also caught them being careless and banging my furniture into the street sign and they just LAUGHED. 4. At the end of it all, they of course tried to overcharge me. They stated it was 5 hours when it should have been 4 (including CA drive time). The math was clear as day and they refused to agree. We had to call the owner to handle the dispute. The owner first took their side and demanded I pay for 5 hours until I pointed out to him that they were charging me for stop time of 9pm when it was 8:30p!! And they stated an earlier start time but that was harder to prove so I ended up having to pay for the extra 30 mins. 5. When I told the driver that this wasn't fair, his response was "Well, too bad, life isn't fair". Just because I was by myself and a female they felt they could extort money from me. Who hired these goons?? I legit started balling outside in front of my new apartment because I was being taken advantage of and felt so helpless. I was so nice to them also, helping out by carrying a ton of stuff and offering them beverages throughout. This was THE WORST moving company I have ever dealt with so these positive reviews are a load of crap. read more

First, Andrei and his crew were all that others have written - very affordable, careful with my stuff, efficient. I was very very pleased!! ... UNTIL AFTER THE MOVE ... When I discovered that a brand new, just purchased punching bag and punching bag stand that I had purchased from Dick's for my 15-year-old son (still in the box, in fact), didn't make it to my new home. It was one of those huge punching bags (not like a tiny ball - as tall as a person) - and was expensive. I have looked through the boxes in my garage many times as I keep thinking somehow it is there and I missed it - but, it is not something you can miss. So, though they did do an excellent job with the move, I cannot give more than two stars because of my missing stuff. read more

They were able to help me at short notice due to another delivery company letting me down which is why I do recognize their effort and the 3 stars are representative of this. However, the drivers that turned up were very slow and the taller guy was in a bad mood because he wasn't told that I had an apartment to move - he assumed it was just 5 items (as he himself confessed). A 3-hour job was initially quoted but it took the team over 6hours and double the estimate to get everything done. I can't fault the workers careful packing and moving but the amount of time spent was at times just unnecessarily slow - probably because they were charging by the hour! Overall, I appreciate their help but in the future I'd probably use another service with fixed pricing to limit the dent to my pocket. read more

If I can, I would like to give them 0 star. They were so slow, took 6 hrs for 'from 1 bedroom to 1 bedroom moving' and quite slack from time to time which is the main reason for taking 6 hrs. They carried my stuffs to the new house and often didn't come back and I had to go back to their truck to call them out. They were 3 peole and there was only one efficient guy whose name was Dori. The worst part was that they arrived 30 mins earlier than the time they were supposed to arrive. And they tried charging 'the 30 mins' telling me when they arrived and called me (actually they even started working! ) Please stay away from them. Andrei and his crew are amazing. This is my 5th move in 7 years and twilight is the best I've used. They did a free walk through before the move to make sure they had the equipment to handle our place. Their time estimate was beaten by how efficient they were. Quick. Careful. And affordable. I used Twilight Movers to move from Long Beach to Culver City. The quote I received (through Yelp) was much lower than the other movers I contacted, and while I am not one to "cheap out", with the positive reviews on here for them I figured it was a safe bet. The two guys that were sent to move us were polite, personable, and funny. They hustled hard to get us moved and keep all our stuff safe. They didn't have an easy job, since my new apartment was at the top of one horrible flight of stairs and it was extremely hot (they, and I, were POURING sweat). There's not a lot to say! Not only were Twilight Movers cheap in comparison to other movers, but the affable nature of the two guys who moved us made the moving experience as comfortable as possible. Andrea arranged a pick up today from Long Beach to LA to my daughters new apartment. When he and his helper arrived, they were in a hurry to load and leave LB. My daughter stated they "clearly did not want to do this late afternoon job to LA" My daughter was not done packing up the remainder of the kitchen and they did not want to wait, nor did they help. She had a large sofa that they decided to carry down three flights rather than us the elevator. BTW when she moved in the sofa fit on the elevator. When they got to her new location, the sofa would not fit in the new elevator nor fit up the stairs. After charging her $800 to move the sofa, a desk chair and several boxes, he said it would be a separate $150 dump fee for the sofa. I Googled dump fees for Long Beach after the bills were paid to find out that the fee is $44.75 per ton!!!! A rip off by another CA business. read more

I would never recommend this moving company to anyone! Extremely shady and untrustworthy. They packed and moved my apartment a few months ago and I haven't had time to leave a review. It was my mom and I and they sent us to movers who didn't listen to anything we said, were slow and broke a few of our items. Then they were argumentative, with poor attitudes and when my mom complained the owner he took their side. No apologies for us. They even took things to the storage I asked him to throw away and then said they would charge extra to dispose of it after they brought the items to the storage which they weren't supposed to. I was charged more than quoted and had horrible help with an attitude! At the storage that I rent from the owner was so upset with the way they were treating us that he got involved and told one of the movers that they were being rude and ripping us off. They were moving extremely slow and purposely wasting time because I was being charged by the hour. read more

This company is phenomenal! It was moving day, and I had to dismiss (fire) my previous moving company because they were negligent and damaged my furniture. I was in a tight bind; I had a fully furnished three bedroom house and scheduled to hand over the keys the next day to the new buyers. Talk about stressed. After calling a few movers, I was referred to Twilight Movers. It was just my luck, they had a cancellation and came to our rescue! They came out and got immediately to work. My prior moving company quoted an 8-hour job with three people based on the size of my home, mind you, this was strictly to move my belonging into moving pods. Andrei and Dory came, yes two man, and handled the job in 4 1/2 hours. They wrapped all of my belongings and handled them as if it were there own furniture. I got a quote from a broker for this company. He came to my home, looked at what I needed moved. Said he didn't bring any tools to move the bed. I was told they would take furnishings apart and put back together. He had an poor attitude the whole time. He put my furniture in his truck then said it would cost an additional $350. I said no unload it I refuse. He then left and came to my new home. He shoved my unscratched frigerator threw the door. I would give him a -10 if I could. read more

Slow, slow, slow! They milk your money by the hour. I would not recommend. 3 movers all in different rooms so you can't keep track of what they were doing (not doing), then 1 guy stays in the back of the truck nearly the whole time pretending to organize. I had pre-boxed 90% of everything in my house and moved 50% out to the garage prior to their arrival. I spent alot of money on nice sturdy boxes. I taped, stacked, and labeled them all. If not for the fridge, sofa, beds, and washer/dryer, I would have done it myself and saved $700. read more

THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP. I scheduled the appointment, got confirmation and day of was waiting for them. I was constantly calling with no one picking up. 30 minutes post scheduled move in time, I was finally given a call back, stating they forgot to put my move in the schedule. Andrei and Dori showed up on time, extremely professional, and packed up our belongings in Garden Grove and moved them to our residence in Long Beach. Packing and unpacking, moving thru tight spaces, and where to place furniture - all done with care and the client in mind. Undoubtedly the worst experience i have ever had, One of the movers verbally got in a confrontation with my girlfriend during the move. It led to unprofessional language and the guy from the moving company assaulted my girlfriend. The police was called to the site by the neighbors. That individual left before the police arrived. Twilight Movers just moved my 2-BD apartment yesterday. The team of 3 guys (Andre, Lorenzo, and Dory) arrived on time and got to work right away. They were polite and worked hard and fast. Everything was blanket wrapped, loaded, unloaded and placed where I wanted within 4.5 hours. Nothing was damaged. There were no hidden charges and/or fees and I was given a cash discount. One note, they do charge double time for the actual transport from one place to the other, so keep that in mind for your mental math. read more

I used Twilight Movers in June 2019 and I am glad I did. They responded fast and professional. Max, at the office was helpful and the crew (Dork, Lorenzo and Eric) were just great. They worked high pace and were careful and friendly. They even re-packed a couple of things where necessary. I have moved through Europe and the USA many times before. As (any) movers wear heavy protective shoes and use equipment with rubber tires, I did prepare well and used protective paper on the floors, stairs and on the walls of the stairs to the front door and I recommend to do so. I left at some point to drive ahead to my new address and they kept me posted on the progress. They also let me know when they checked out to have lunch, when they started driving and when they were 15 minutes away. Excellent service! read more
