Walter's pizza is one of the best I have had anywhere, including Naples, Italy where pizza began. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were delicious and the cheese was wonderfully gooey. We have never been to this location of Walter's and I wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. (We went to the Lowry location years ago.) We got there during happy hour and I had to ask what the deals were. The staff didn't really seem to know for sure and had to ask someone. They probably didn't know, because it's definitely nothing special. (No wonder they don't advertise it anywhere) $1 off beers and $1 off wells. $2 off their cheese bread. I really wanted to try the wings as we love wings and I am currently compiling my list of fav ones around town. We ordered the dry rub per our servers suggestion. $16 for 8 wings is a bit steep, but what isn't these days? We hadn't received our wings yet and our server took our pizza order. Then the insanity started. The fire alarm started going off blasting right into my ear holes as I was sitting right next to it. The staff was just going about their day, not even flinching or acting like anything was wrong. Right about then, our food came out - the wings and the pizza together. Awesome. Perfect atmosphere for enjoying our meal and being able to talk. I finally asked about the fire alarm as nobody had still said anything to us about it. Oh it happens they said. When the apartments above us have an issue they go off. No apology, nothing. Oh back to the wings. They were so overly seasoned they were basically inedible. We got the crazy chicken pizza and it was fine, but definitely nothing special. This was the worst dining experience we have had in a long time. The fire alarm was blasting our ears the whole time we were trying to eat. It did finally go off, but again nothing was said by the staff. We left feeling jarred and underwhelmed. read more

I come here maybe once a month, it's never let me down. The pizza is great, and if you like a good deep dish they have it! They have a karaoke night now and I really want to try it, not sure how it's run yet but honestly just having one is awesome! I'd recommend the cheesy breadsticks, they're consistently really great especially after a few beers, and the wings ain't bad either. Ordered takeout from Walter's for my first time eating here. They have very unique pizzas but also have the option to custom make. I ordered the jalapeño and pepperoni pizza, was not the biggest fan as it wasn't very spicy and did not love the pesto sauce. The service was amazing. We were checked on often and they made several suggestions since it was our first time visiting. Another solid experience at Walter's. Great casual and relaxed atmosphere to unwind. Again, can never go wrong with their cheesy bread (discounted during happy hour!) and their wings! This has become one of our regular neighborhood haunts. Pizza, Greek salad and occasionally wings get the wings. Always perfect. Staff here is great, they work as a team and do a top notch job of circling to make sure everyone is happy. Although we don't drink, I see refills and second rounds show up at just the right moment and people are always happy when they are eating at Walters. We like the patron seating so we can bring the pup. The bar is fine too when it's cold outside. They can seat groups up to 8 or 10 depending on how busy they are. I love Walters on Pearl. It opens right up to the street. You can watch people drive-by or walk their dogs. The neighborhood is very friendly and it has a lot of locals that visit. I also love the beer selection. But to beat that the staff is always so kind and knowledgeable on everything that they have. They're also very chill to make choices at your leisure and give you recommendations that are always solid. And every recommendation that I have had has been delicious including these wings and the calzone . I inhaled all of it. It was fabulous as usual. Title: Very Disappointing Experience -- Poor Service, No Accountability I took my family to Walter's 303 Pizzeria & Publik House in Lowry last night, and unfortunately, our experience was one of the worst I've had dining out in recent memory. We sat in the bar area and were initially greeted by Kristen, the bartender. She took our drink and food orders for our party of four. My youngest ordered lasagna, my oldest ordered wings, my wife had a chicken wrap, and when it came to me, I said, "I'll have exactly what he's having," referring to my oldest son's wings. After placing our order, we were passed off to our server, Syndia ("Syn"), who was cold, unfriendly, and never made eye contact. Her communication was short and unwelcoming from the start. When our food came out, it was delivered by Ken, the general manager. Only three meals arrived. Ken asked what I had ordered, and I repeated, "Exactly what he's having," pointing to my son's wings. Without any acknowledgment, Ken simply walked away -- and we never saw him again. Several minutes later, Syn came by and explained that Kristen had only entered one order of wings, subtly implying it was my fault and taking zero responsibility for the mistake. She told me my order would be out soon. By the time my wings arrived -- scalding hot, overcooked, dry, and inedible -- everyone else at the table had finished eating. There was no apology, no attempt to make the situation right, and no sign of care from Ken, Kristen, or Syn. At the end of the meal, Syn said she had "taken a little off the bill" for the inconvenience, but again -- no acknowledgment of the poor service. Ironically, the only person who seemed to care was Cristian, the kitchen manager. As we were leaving, he stopped to hear what happened, was genuinely appalled, and offered to help, but by then we had already paid and were on our way out. From start to finish, the service was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. Ownership should seriously evaluate the quality of their staff, starting with management. Cristian was the only bright spot in an otherwise miserable dining experience. We will not be returning. read more
