amazing experience. Dave and I think Bryan (can't remember it was when I dropped it off) were so helpful. I came in with a bad tire and rim, asked for an overall check to ensure safety and they found bad tie rod ends. Warranty company was very challenging to get ahold of but Dave worked so hard, was flexible and was very patient throughout. After all of the warranty process, when they could start ordering parts (after 5pm) for my car they had it all done by 11am the next morning. The tire took the longest to come in because they wanted to ensure it was the same as the others so it wouldn't cause any problems with the alignment (I respect rather than pushing Me to get all 4 new tires like others would do). They were able to repair the dent in my rim rather than buying a new one as well. Overall so relieved to have a place I can trust that cares about not only getting the money but giving customers the best service and most for their money. A huge thank you!!! read more

I was in area for my daughter's graduation and got a flat late on a Friday night. I needed to get to her graduation Saturday afternoon and thankfully when I got to this location first thing Saturday morning gentleman at desk was so helpful and was able to replace my tire and have me on the road by 9:00am. I honestly would have paid any amount to just get tire so I wouldn't miss graduation but I did compare tire I purchased with other local companies and this was the best price around. I brought my 1973 Corvette there for a gas leak. It did not have a gas leak so we discussed how loud the back pressure was of the and he was gonna address that to make a long story short. He had the car for over two months he did work on it without my permission like adjusting my valves without notifying me, and the car runs absolutely terrible now went back to complain. The only thing Graham said that if I bring another car there, he could not charge me as much. I would never go back there again he'll never see my face ever again. I will never bring my car to this location again. We came there due to a tire sensor. They said we needed 4 new tires so we bought them. We have had issues with the front drivers side tire losing pressure for months brought it in several time. The last time we brought it they said nothing was wrong with the tires, I told them to look again and the said the found an issue with the seal and a valve which they said they fixed. I came out to my car a week later and that same tire was completely flat. We are long standing Firestone customers no more. This location used to be so much better now it seems like they just either want to scam you or do no work at all. read more

My son was on his way to Maine when his car overheated. AAA towed him to another repair facility who were trying to take complete advantage of a young guy stuck with a car that couldn't be driven. We finally had it towed again to Firestone and they took care of it right away for 1/2 the price. Highly recommend these guys. They are honest, affordable, and professional. read more

I had a flat tire and AAA towed my car to this shop because it was the closest repair shop nearby. All I needed was a plug but they charged me for the price of a new tire, though they didn't give me a new one. We tried to talk the price down but they only took off $30. Overall, it was way overpriced just for a plug and the service was not great. I would not recommend and will never go to them again. read more

I'm writing this to hopefully give someone else fair warning about this location. Buckle in my friends. Had a 10 am appointment that had been confirmed for a week prior. Brought my car in for four tire changes and an electrical diagnostic issue (headlight problem) that I had noted in the service request online and in the request comments - Firestone confirmed my appointment. Got there this morning and immediately found out they don't even have an electrical diagnostic technician, so half the reason for my appointment they can't even do. Why would you have confirmed it then? They quote me two hours for the tires to get done. Takes them three to even get my car into the bay. Finally, at the four hour mark my car is finished. Now, mind you, I've been listening to the service tech in front tell people all day how understaffed and overbooked they are. And I get it, sometimes it's tough and people get sick and call out. But I was sitting in their waiting room the entire time, and not one of them thought to approach me and let me know that my car was going to be longer than anticipated because of their short staff. Finally my car is done. I go up to the service tech and very calmly and politely I'm just like "Is there any way you can give me a discount for the fact that I just waited four hours for something you guys promised me in two?" And without even flinching this man goes "Okay what do you think you deserve?" Bruh? I'm deadass HAGGLING with this dude over a discount, I can tell he's had a rough day and is kind of taking it out on me, but finally we just settle on $50. Eventually we're fine and chatting as he's ringing me out, but listen - that's the weirdest interaction I've ever had with someone over asking for a discount for kind of crappy service. He mocked me for asking for a free alignment after he wouldn't give me a solid answer for a discount he was willing to give. The interaction ended on good terms, I'm not the kind of person to give anyone a hard time, but like man.... You can't be talking to customers like that dawg. I didn't actually get an apology for the bad service until he handed me my receipt and I was on my way out the door. I would also like to note that he told me I had to get an alignment done with them either that day or within the next 30 days or it voided the warranty on my new tires. When I was making an appointment with a different Firestone for next weekend to get the rest of my problems looked at (they actually have an electrical diagnostic technician), a manager confirmed with me that that wasn't true and they had never even heard of that before. Lol. Idk, I hope this gives someone a laugh, or better yet helps change something in management at this Firestone location, because even though I got the discount and the guy was alright in the end, the interaction was so weird and unprofessional. I had a car near the location that I had to get repaired. I myself am 1.5 hours away. I had one day to take care of this. The problem was there was a nail in a tire and it was leaking. Pretty simple. I called in the morning, explained the situation saying I was driving a considerable distance and that this had to be taken care of today. They said no problem, come on in. Well, when I got there, they said they don't have the time and I should make an appointment for another day. Needless to say, this was unacceptable. They lied to me and wasted my time. My daughter just had a front and rear brake job (rotors and pads) on her Toyota Corolla S done. They charged her $900 using after market parts. They charged 599.00 in parts the rest labor. They did NOT give back her old parts or the boxes of the new parts. They saw her coming from a mile away. When I called about the price I was told it was a dealership and more expensive. What are they used car salesmen? It's done now but I will submitting everything to the appropriate State Agency. My advice is find a good local mechanic and stay away from these franchises that want to empty your wallet!! read more

I boycotted this place years ago after they "misplaced" my oil cap after I got an oil change. Anyway...since the new management has taken over I've welcomed them back into my life with open arms. I have come here multiple times and they always exceed my expectations of auto care. I am, and have always been so skeptical of getting my vehicle worked on at shops, as I am used to having my father always do it for me and I unfortunately no longer have that luxury. But, the team at Firestone in W. Spfld , always goes above and beyond to make sure me and my family are safe and are being charged a reasonable price. Ken has been there time and time again for me either on the toad or at the shop! Luis helped me this most recent time and he made sure I was going to leave satisfied and comfortable to keep in touch if my problem wasn't resolved when I left the facility. Dishonest and Incompetent First the dishonest part Day 1- June 26,2018 Brought my car in to have air conditioning diagnosed and repaired. Technician came out with an itemized bill for over 2000.00 that included recommended service other than the AC. The estimate for the AC repair was 700.00. The other items included such things as new battery, wipers etc. I was told that the battery could die at any moment, incidentally I have driven over 4000 miles since and no issues were presented with any items listed on the recommended service list. Obviously this is a scare tactic designed by Firestone to jack up the repair bill for unneeded repairs. I was told that the part for my AC repair needed to be ordered from Honda and it will be in a couple of days and I would receive a call from them when it arrived. No call came. Now the Incompetent Part Day 5- I called to inquire about the status of the ordered part and they informed me it had not come in yet. Day 10- I gave them a few extra days due to the July 4th holiday and called back on July 5th. They informed me that the part is on National Back order and will not be available until August 1 and they would call me when it came in. This would have been nice to be informed of earlier. Day 36- August 1 I called to inquire about the status of the ordered part. The technician informed me he had no record of my car being at Firestone and thereby no record of the ordered part. I asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor said he was unaware of the situation because he just arrived at the store to fill in for the vacationing manager. He said he would look into it and call back in few minutes. Guess what...no call came so I called back a few hours later. He told me that the system indicates the part came in but they could not find it and he will call the manager to found out if he knew where it was and call me back. Day 38 August 3 having received no call back I called Firestone again. He said that they could not locate the part but that it is available and they re-ordered it and will be there in a couple of days. He also stated I would get a call. Day 41 August 6. I called Firestone to ask about the status of the ordered part. The manager said it had not come in yet. But he would call to find out the status of the order and call me back. No call came back. Day 48 August 13 Again, I called Firestone to ask about the status of the ordered part. Again the manager said it had not come in yet. Again he said he would call to find out the status and let me know. I never received a call back. Day 51 August I drove to Firestone. The part had not come in yet. The supervisor told me he would call the manager and let me know tomorrow about the status. I told him not to bother and asked for a refund. I was given 2 coupons worth $25 off an oil change in consideration for the situation There is no way I will ever bring my car to this store again. Horrible experience read more

The service I received on 12/10/19 was totally unacceptable: let me explain. I had bought tires from Tire Rack in preparation for a across America drive I was about to embark upon. I brought the tires here to be installed. After a while they came out and told me "They recommended" I have my front brakes replaced (keep this in mind - comes up later). I asked how much pad was left and they said about 3mm, so I passed. Note that it was only upon asking that I received the 3mm info. About 45 minutes after I left, I received a call from the shop. They informed me that they forgot to return my tire lock. This did not make me to happy. Upon returning, I pointed out to the desk person that I had NJ plates. I told him I very well could have been 45 minutes towards NJ, received the call but let it go to voicemail because I was driving and may not have picked it up until I arrived in NJ 4+ hours later. (Fortunately, I have a friend nearby I was stopping to visit before starting to NJ). He seemed indifferent and said the mechanic always leaves the lock with the front desk when the job is complete. So why was it not given to me when I paid - he had no answer except it was his fault. I then responded: what if I had a tire issue on the way - I would not have been able to remove the tire. Again - indifference. He could have cared less. It gets better! I felt the car was giving me a hard ride on my trip West, which began the next day, and I checked the tire pressure when I reached Colorado. The auto manufacturer recommended max inflation of 32 PSI (2005 Toyota 4Runner). My tire gauge read 39 psi: "YIKES!!!". I called the shop to discuss this with them and this is what they told me: Our practice is to inflate the tires 3 psi above manufacturers recommendation. I explained that the manufacturer has a far better understanding of the proper tire pressure for the vehicle they designed and proceeded to explain that by being to high, and resulting in a rough ride, it was putting more strain on the entire suspension system - thus reducing it's life - forget the drive comfort and handling. This is both a safety and comfort issue. I then said that 32psi+ 3psi=35, not 39! He quickly said that Colorado altitude (higher elevation would increase psi and this is why it was at 39 instead of 35) accounted for the other 4 PSI. I told him I was extremely skeptical of this, stating I did not think elevation differential would not impact PSI by even 1 psi, let alone 4 PSI. I said I would check it when I arrived in Portland, OR - at sea level. Arrive in Portland: PSI=39. Gets worse! Brake pads life (remember, they recommended replacing?) : ok the entire way + about 5,000 miles before I had to replace. I brought the car to a local mechanic who I felt would do a good job (YELP gets a big assist - he was great!). At the shop, I informed him that the car had been pulling to the right when I applied brakes ever SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR. Upon examining the brakes, he called me over (with car on lift) to the front, passenger wheel. He instructed me to spin it by hand, which I proceeded to do. It did as it should: it span. Then he walked me over to the front driver side and gave me the same instructions: I tried to spin the wheel - this wheel did not cooperate! The mechanic said the caliper on the driver side (this is the mechanism which applies the brakes to the rotor to stop the car when you hit the brake peddle and then releases it so the brakes become disengaged when you remove your foot) was stuck with the brake pad constantly pushing against the rotor - which translated into: (1) not to good for the entire front end - think about the car constantly driving with the brakes trying to stop it (obviously, not to the point where it could not), (2) accelerates wear/reduces life of brake pad and (3) reduces gas mileage. Upon new brakes, experienced about 3+ mpg improvement when I had the calipers replaced (both sides) with the brake job. To think they recommended I have my brakes redone, put tires on all 4 wheels, but did not notice that the wheel did not turn because the caliper was applying the brakes continuously! I am 62 yo, done plenty of work on my own cars over the years, many bad experiences with mechanics - especially shops that specialize in something like tires, mufflers, etc - and this is up there with the worst I have ever experienced. Note that I sat in the shop for the entire morning and the vast majority of customers were "recommended they have a brake job". Would I recommend them: NEVER - read more

I'm thrilled with my recent trip to Firestone. Initially, I went in for an inspection sticker. Despite not having an appointment, I was seen right away. My car failed inspection due to front thread-worn tires. Justin, the Service Advisor, explained the situation and offered an amazing deal. He did everything to help me out. Since I had no appointment, I presumed I'd be coming back, leaving with a rejection sticker until the tires could be installed. Not the case! Despite the fact that, at times, they were swamped, Justin told me the mechanic, Anthony, could put the new tires on right then! I now have two brand new beautiful tires, which make me feel safe. And my car passed inspection. Everyone I dealt with at Firestone was attentive, courteous, and helpful. This is the best experience I've had at any auto care place, ever. This one of the best car experiences I've ever had. Our car broke down and was towed here. Dan, the store manager, looked after us at ever step, he looked at the car trying to figure out what was wrong. When it was going to take a week to look at he arranged a rental car for us when no other place had any cars. He kept us in the loop when went back to Boston in our dodge challenger rental car that we got a reduced rate! When Dan rang to say he wasn't 100% sure he could fix the problem and we might be better going to the dealer! I couldn't believe his honesty and help in getting it towed to the dealer again at a reduced rate. He even followed up long after the car was no longer with them. Being female & knowing a good bit about auto repair, I also have generally not been mislead by their mechanics (at any location I've visited), which is refreshing. I broke down on a Saturday afternoon in Springfield with a busted brake line and ended up after several other places in the vicinity refused to help me at Firestone service. The staff was extremely helpful understood my situation worked with me, and the kept me in the loop during the entire process. Also, the garage was very busy they identified the problem quickly and carefully and solve the issue at hand professionally and satisfactorily. I was faster back on the road then I expected. I went in for an oil change and left happy. Two weeks later My motor started to make machine gun like noises. I did some independant research and discovered it was an oil issue. I was told by a few reliable sources the motor needs replacement. I called Firestone and spoke with the manager. He suggested I send it down to his shop for further inspection. After I had it sent to his shop I recieved a phone call confirming it be an oil issue and I would in deed need a new motor. The manger was nice enough to locate an engine and offer me an affordable labor rate. I was told it would take a week to pull the old motor and install the new one. In the I walked away very happy.They were very proffessional and honest. Upon pick up of the vehicle I was very surprised. Not only did they do the motor swap, they also fixed a few things unrelated to the services requested. They fixed my A/C (which never worked for me), My exhaust was serviced and my rear brakes seemed to have been serviced as well. My faith was reinstilled after this visit. read more

In August I showed up at 10:30 in the morning (only one person in the waiting room) wanting an oil change and my tires balanced & rotated on my 1997 4-Runner. I had a coupon for the oil change and the tire rotation. They said is would be approx. 90 minutes which was fine as the Mrs. and I were going to indulge in some shopping close by. About 45 minutes later, I got a call asking where the wheel lock key was located - I explaind to the technician where to find it and hung-up. About 90 minutes later, I returned and was told that the vehicle wasn't finished yet but would be shortly - I said fine and took a seat. An hour later, I was called to the desk and was told that I had an oil leak, my rack & pinion needed replaced and that my ball joints were out of spec - Total cost of repair $2850.00. Now I know that the oil doesn't leak as I check it religously - every other fill-up at the pump at a minimum. The rack & pinion (steering) fluid was fine as I had just checked it previously and the truck handled fine as I had just had the same service done at Pep-Boys in West Springfield!!! - All Checked out OK at Pep-Boys about 3 months ago. I said "NO THANK YOU" - just do the oil change. They said that they wouldn't balance and rotate the tires because of the ball joint & rack-n-pinion dilemma. So... 45 minutes later my vehicle was finally finished - about 3:00 in the afternoon by this time. I was charged way more than the coupon - but just wanted to leave as I was so pizzed off at it taking so long. As I got my truck, I looked for the wheel key and couldn't find it. I went back inside and inquired as to where the technician put the wheel key. After a call to the garage, I was told that the technician would meet me in the parking lot to show me where he left it. As I was walking to the parking lot, I saw the technician pull the wheel key off of the tire and walk towards me and hand it to me - Good thing I checked prior to leaving. - Update - I just had my 1997 4-Runner inspected (Mandatory in Massachusetts) and it passed with flying colors - Ball Joints in spec, No mention of the Rack & Pinion, - Needless to say... THEY WERE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO TO FIRESTONE IN WEST SPRINGFIELD AGAIN AND Will tell everyone I know what happened to me here - 4-1/2 hours ++ to get an oil change, Repairs suggested that were 'NOT NEEDED', BOTTOM LINE - I BELEIVE THAT THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF with bogus repair recommendations, excessive wait times, and forget bringing a coupon as you'll be charged their regular rate.. .. I was so in a state of disbeleif that I didn't even question the rate I was charged. If i could give 0 stars i would. Made an appoitment on Wednesday for Saturday morning. I was told the 6 tires are gonna be ready is 2-3 hours. few months ago they did a good job put the tires on really fast and my truck returned on the toute with no issues. Dropped the vehicle saturday morning and call them 3 hours latter and i was told that they have a lot of work and i should wait a little more. i came by to and my vehicle wasn't even taken by specialists to begin the work. it was outside. i took the vehicle because my driver had to chane the oil and i bring them just the tires. Now it is 2pm and my tires are still outside with the work undone. I called and asked why they promised 2-3 hours and they told i should wait until end of day (but i had an appointment at 8 am) the workers told me i can come and they can give me the tires back (undone) ( that's not how it works guys) i have a commercial truck , i am paying for good service and i do not want to bring the tires wait the whole day and take them undone back. instead of a sorry we are busy and will try to make it faster they argue with me‍if i could find someone open at this time i would take my tires and bring to someone else but it's Saturday afternoon and everyone is closing and do not take customers without appointment. I never write reviews on these things, but my recent great experience at this particular Firestone in Springfield, MA moved me to do so. I have to give major props to the staff at this location. I drove up to Springfield from Providence, RI for my boyfriend's tennis tournament. While there on a Saturday, my car died. Needless to say, I was panic-stricken as I had to figure out how I was going to get myself home to Providence without a working vehicle. Long story short - I had my car towed to Firestone. The guys there worked their hardest to diagnose the problem, order the parts that day needed to fix my car, and got it back up and running for me. They even stayed an hour passed closing time to make sure my car got fixed so I could get myself home. Thank you to the amazing staff at the Springfield, MA Firestone. When calling into the location, it states they open on Fridays at 8am. The door on the building states 7am. Harvey Firestone who is the founder of this automotive chain company stated " I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business". That's all high and good but if you're comfortable with none of the statement above and having to repetitively come to the same location due to service issues, then this is your place. Short story: oil change and wheel bearing replaced in the fall. The tech installed it improperly which almost resulted myself in getting into an accident. We live an hour away. Fast forward a few months the car couldn't stop shaking while changing lanes on the highway and smelled like burning plastic. They fixed it free of charge and aligned the vehicle. Not even a mile on the highway the brakes were spongy, burning plastic smell came back and steering wheel. So I received my vehicle back with heavy grinding and pulsating while braking. I'm not bringing the vehicle back. I will save up some money and pay a technician that can actually do their job right the first time! read more

Do not buy tires here! Bought tires for my Subaru and less than 50k miles and less than 5 yrs later my mechanic tells they are dangerous and can't drive on them! They were all cracked in the interior. From day one we had constant air leaks and nothing but issues with these tires and they weren't cheap ($600)! read more

Pricing is extremely competitive. I would completely recommend Dan/Ken and the team there without reservation. I was extremely happy with the service I recently received on my car on my first visit to Firestone. The employees were super nice and they were honest and upfront with me which I really appreciated. The only thing negative I have to say is my appointment was at 1pm and they never took my car in until 1:30pm. BUT they fixed my car and were apologetic. Service has always been quick and friendly here but yesterday I came in for a simple oil change and through friendly conversation I was able to get four new snow tires and rims which I needed for my vehicle at a very nice price. On a drive from Pittsfield to Boston my Prius broke down on the highway. I called AAA and they sent a tow truck company who brought me to this Firestone repair shop. Ken told me he would first to a diagnostic test to find out what was wrong. He knew I really wanted to get back on the road to Boston, so he got that done asap. The test came back that something serious was wrong with the hybrid system and battery. Ken suggested I take the car to a Toyota dealer as they could not fix it. He said I could keep the car there for as many days as I needed before getting it back to the dealer. He even said he wouldn't charge me for the diagnostic test because it was the right thing to do. I appreciate the honesty and kindness shown when I was in a bit of a pickle. The least I can do is write here to thank Ken and let people know how much I appreciated the treatment I got here in what was a stressful time. read more
