It seems kind of expensive for what it is -- nominally just $10 for a pie with two sides, but add a soda and a tip and you're at nearly $20 for lunch. The peas were delicious, and the sweet potatoes pretty good, but the lamb and rosemary pie was bland in a way I can't quite isolate to properly describe. I could taste the lamb, and the rosemary, but the gravy, while thick enough, tasted like either water or nothing at all, making the overall culinary experience a little unpleasant. Each time I'd take a bite, I'd think, "This really isn't as bad as I remember," but still felt reluctant to take the next; I gave up after eating about a quarter of it. The pastry conveyed the same kind of nothingness as the gravy. It looked right, and was nicely flaky, but I'd take a bite, and taste nothing. I was glad I didn't get a dessert to be disappointed by. Overall, I'd say it's way better than actually bad food. I'm not sure it's better than skipping a meal. The service was impeccable, and I appreciated the overall cleanliness of the store. read more

First, love that everything is made from scratch. Second, the pie crust is light and thick enough to making eating the pie like a sandwich is the way to go when you are on the go. My husband and I ordered food from here yesterday morning through order up. I got the bacon and cheese quiche with an iced tea and Hubby got the breakfast pie with a chi tea. Food arrived quickly, it was hot and both of us enjoyed it. I deducted a star because they don't offer any iced coffee beverages... Sounds silly to some but we like iced coffee drinks but I was told they can't do that so we had to get the chi hot, they were very polite over the phone but still kind of a bummer. read more

The first time we ate lunch here it was really good. This time it was just the opposite. The Italian pie and pork pie we're so salty we could hardly eat them. The waiter said the Italian one was like lasgana in a crust. It was not like any lasgana I have ever had,sort of like hamburger with gravy. So long as you're in the mood for an Australian pot pie, you will not be disappointed! The owner is actually from Australia, and everything I've had here is delicious. Would recommend the Thai peanut with chicken- but be warned, it is very heavy, creamy, and filling. The mushy peas and sweet potato mash make me jealous that I can't make it at home (I've actually tried). I've just been to Waltzing Kangaroo for the first time. It came recommended by my lash lady extraordinaire , Tara, who owns Aussie Lashes and Tans and whose husband is Australian. I chose a basic, simple steak and gravy pie dinner that came with the most awesome sweet potato mash and a sun-dried tomato spinach salad. All for under $12.00!!! The meat pie had a very nice, flakey crust and the taste of the pie was very good! Simple, tasty, and filling. They gave many different types of meat pies from steak to chicken to lamb to pork each meat pie with different flavor combos. They offer Thai curry chicken pie! Gonna definitely try that one! I also tried a dessert pie with banana, caramel, and whipped cream they have a nice variety of dessert pie. They also have quiche and meat rolls. Check out the extensive menu! read more

Amazingggggg! Husband requested a pie for lunch. I was hesitant due to all the construction around there but stopped in anyways. I couldn't decide which one so I got him a couple his favorite where the lamb and the curry one ( really spicy but good) I got my self a peanut chicken in Thai one. He's not much of a yelpper but I kid you not the second I got into my car after dropping his lunch off he sent me a text saying Yelp them right now five stars all the way some of the best food I've had in Fort Collins. In a word, awful. The pie is small and more pastry than filling, the free water is warm and the table for four would work for nine year olds. The music was way too loud and when we asked to turn it down a bit, the staff grudgingly did and 3 minutes later cranked it up again. read more

Great little spot, I prefer to stop in for breakfast or lunch but they provide a filling dinner with their Tucker box. What a find! This place is so unique and great. Stop in for one of their pies. I have tried a few different ones and they were all so great.I think I loved the sides most of all though...mashed potatoes and sweet mashed potatoes...it sounds like an average side but it was SO good! I haven't tried their coffee here so I can't comment on that. The only thing I wish this place had was more seating. Hopefully they get popular enough to move to a bigger spot! read more

Wow... this place lives up to the hype. It is comfort food on steroids. Good thing I don't live close by! The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. I had the Steak Pie and Mashed Potatoes. My companion had the Steak Pepper Pie and Mashed Potatoes. We both had the profiteroles for dessert. Everything was fantastic!!! The meat in the pies was plentiful and tender. The gravy was mouth watering and the crust the perfect texture and thickness. And, I swear they must put crack in the mashed potatoes because they were awesome! read more
