What a great find! We sat under the covered porch in the back and listened to the rain as we had a delicious lunch. Their clam chowder and French dip were both wonderful. The breakfast was amazing. I hadn't been there before. Worth the bit of wait. Only giving 3 stars because everything was packaged "to go" and brought to our table! Same at all other tables. Sooo much plastic. I was just sick. We took our thick plastic, empty containers home with us for reuse... but clearly no one else did! Every time I visit Wandas it's hard to decide what to order! Hands-down they have the best tuna melt around I switch it up a little bit and have it on rye instead of the English muffin! We went to Wanda's for breakfast 2 days in a row and food is really good.we ordered chili omelet and waffle.

We look forward to stopping here every time we visit Oregon. We stopped in last Friday evening, and it was our first and most anticipated destination. We drove over an hour beyond our final destination to visit, if that tells you anything. I hope we didn't scare the staff when we entered like a hungry mob and started grabbing armloads of goodies, lol. This is a business that is clearly passionate about what they do. This was our favorite place to eat breakfast while staying in Manzanita. We didnt try it for lunch or dinner, but I am going to guess that it would be good for that also. They even have corn hole boards outside to play while you wait and coffee while you wait. I have the veggie omelet one day and it was tasty, I added Avocado to the top. Amazing food and service. We witnessed a couple being extremely rude and were accommodated in every way including refunds yet continued to be belligerent and embarrassing to all who watched. The owner was fair, accommodating, and stood up for his kind staff that have been going the extra mile as they recover from a COVID year. One star reactions are often suspect. The best part of this place is the interior. It's adorable and has a great shop with unique finds in the front. The food is a close second. One of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. We ordered the 2x2x2 and the beachcomber. My husband says it's the best French toast he's ever had, bacon was thick and crispy, he was happy. Killed time wandering around Nehalem. Came back and was told it would be another 30 minutes because patrons were not leaving, no guarantee there would be a table available then. I understand people want to visit and hangout but they need to be more forceful with the patrons that are done. Turn tables faster. Especially in the height of the summer. We came to Wanda's on the recommendation from some locals after finding out the place we originally wanted to eat was closed. What an excellent recommendation! Free coffee while you wait and the pastries in the 'to go' case were delish. We sat on the covered patio and were well taken care of by the wait staff. The food was delish - and devoured by everyone. The interior was charming and had a homey feel. My only complaint was that there is only one bathroom that always seemed to be occupied. Other than that, it was an excellent experience. Stopped here for lunch on a recent weekend. The food is great, they offer gluten-free options, nice people. My only complaint is the sheer amount of plastic they resorted to because of covid.
