PET FRIENDLY with nice outdoor area seating with umbrellas!Food and service was so good that we returned twice in the same day instead of trying a different restaurant. Doesn't look like much from the outside but very roomie, clean and nice inside. AMAZING service! Wish I had gotten the name of the young man behind the register yesterday that attended us. He was so nice, patient, and helpful! We sat outside in the front patio with our 2 pups enjoying the beautiful weather and got the food brought out to us. We split an oyster melt sandwich, albacore tuna sandwich, and their house made tomato/orange soup. You could tell the oyster and tuna both were very fresh and not canned or frozen nonsense. They said the tuna is sourced locally from Garibaldi area about 1/2 hour south of there. The strawberry lemonade had fresh strawberry in it and was delicious and not overly sweet. We then went for a very long walk on the beach to work it all off and came back few hours later to relax at the outside patio tables again and tried the dirty fries and salmon pita (BOTH DELICIOUS). and a must try too. The food here is different, unique, and not made how you would typically expect or get anywhere else. I thought the tuna sandwich would be boring but actually left me wanting more. We were sad upon return that we didn't get to try their CLAMS because they had run out since it's one of their most popular items, but we will DEFINITELY be returning to this place, and hope to be able to try their dinner menu sometime. 5 for lunch the other day. We came early, so the seating area was pretty empty and we were seated promptly. The waitress came by and took our drink orders immediately and took good care of us for the rest of the meal. The steamers are on the appetizer menu, a 1LB portion to share, but I ordered them as my entree and they were pretty wonderful. The sauce had a great flavor, lots of garlic, the way I like it. The big hit was the clam chowder, which according to some folks was just as good or better than what they've had in a high-end seafood restaurant. We had a really nice lunch here on a somewhat chilly and blustery day. The menu has lots of different options, and all of the ones we opted for were delicious. I had a cup of their chowder, served at a really nice temperature and really tasty. I also had a tuna sandwich which looked a little suspect (dry) upon arrival, but was really delicious. It was fresh tuna (which probably explains the difference in color and appearance of the fish) served on toasted bread with lettuce and tomato. It also came with french fries. (hot and perfectly crunchy!) My husband had half of my sandwich and ordered a Caesar salad with anchovies (blech!). He loved the salad and the addition, but would have been happier with a little less dressing. We each had a nice draft beer too. It was bright and warm and even as the place got busier, it wasn't too loud. The staff was very sweet. We will happily stop here again in the future. read more

We have been here a few times now and I swear I have done a review before but can't find it. Anyways, service has been great the 3 times we have been here. The filthy fries are tasty and a great starter. Portion size is huge and we always take a lot home to enjoy later. Oyster shooters to start were large in size. They had my favorite Helvatia Son of a Peach cider which I was happy about. Hubby tried the meatloaf dinner and thought it was great. He noticed the table next to us had it and he was intrigued. I tried the bay shrimp Louie (no salmon please) and a bowl of the clam chowder which was pretty velvety served with warm bread. I took home most of the chowder to enjoy for lunch the following day. The peanut butter pie was taken to go when I wasn't so stuffed to devour late at night while watching a movie in our camper. Great spot in the am for coffee and pastry as well. read more

I always love the food especially any of the pork belly dishes! But the feel is like a combination family date night, couples date night, single's bar all in one. At first I thought the adjacent café was odd but I really like it! Service is always spot on. If we didn't finish something staff would always ask if there was simmering we didn't like and offered a replacement but cars about the specifics so they could change it down the road. This coffee shop and restaurant right down from the beach in Manzanita has a lot of great coffee and food options on the menu. I opted for just the coffee and tried an iced latte and iced vanilla chai latte both of which tasted great! The staff was busy but helped us as promptly as they could and the inside was bustling while we waited for the drinks. Overall, this is a great spot to stop if you're spending time in Manzanita and are looking for a spot to grab both a coffee and a meal. read more

We came in for dinner during an annual girls beach weekend. We come here every year, usually Sunday night dinner because our favorite restaurant, Neah Kah Nie Bistro, is closed. It's usually a pretty good second choice, but this visit was extremely disappointing. We walked in around 5pm and was seated promptly. Service was friendly and helpful. We ordered the halibut and salmon entrees. Since the salmon came with a BBQ sauce, we asked them if they could put it on the side. Salmon and BBQ sauce sounded odd to me. I don't like my fresh fish serced with a lot of sauce. Our food came and we were surprised by the small fillet with potato and spinach sides for $40. Way over priced for quality and quantity. We paid less for far better food the night before at our favorite restaurant. In addition, one of the sides on the halibut entree was obviously burnt. That meal was $42. We may drive into Cannon Beach for dinner next year on our Sunday night. We will be skipping this restaurant in the future. read more

Great little find in Manzanita! The 4 of us were camping at Nehalem Bay SP and had dinner there on Wednesday night, and no other restaurants were open! We had meatloaf, steamer clams, fried oysters and Thai salad. All were delicious and got a free scone as we left! We will be back!!! read more

After briefly checking out the bookstore next door, decided to check out Offshore Grill and Coffee House. The menu items and pastry case was not jumping at me, however, I decided on a 24oz quad shot iced mocha ($6.35) to go for my drive back to Depoe Bay. Ironically, they carried the coffee roasts from Cannon Beach spot I was at earlier, but was closed. Nice concept indie supporting indie. Based on the lines for beverages, to use the restroom, and packed indoor and outdoor seating - clearly very popular! I did appreciate the refreshing water available by the entrance and friendly barista at the counter...added an additional star for that. The mocha itself was cloyingly too sweet. Took only a few sips, but improved as the melting ice diluted the volume. Note: can't speak to their pastry case and other menu items. read more

I had a really pleasant experience dining here! The BBQ chicken sandwich was very filling and came with a good amount of fries as a side. The bun and chicken were my favorites, and based on personal preference I would ask for less pickles on mine. I also tried an iced chai latte with oat milk from the coffeehouse and it had a great chai flavor and wasn't sweet. We went here on our 6th and final night on the coast. With every bite I couldn't help but wish we'd found it at the beginning of our visit instead of the end! The staff was very friendly and responsive. We went the day before for coffee, which was great, and were allowed to take a paper menu. Staff remembered us when we came in the next night despite a short visit. The food choices were varied, the food itself was excellent. My wife thought the appetizer was arguably the best she's ever had when out. Both mains were fantastic. I don't think most places do a good meatloaf, but here it was fantastic. Everything was wonderful and the atmosphere was casual enough we could come in sandals and jeans covered in sand, but still have an epic meal. I can't recommend it enough! Lastly, the price was reasonable. It was actually cheaper than several other places in Rockaway or Garibaldi where the food was good, but not as good as here. Arrived in Manzanita hungry, used Yelp to find a lunch spot, this placed popped up, viewed the menu, spied several vegetarian option and decided to give it a try. From the outside one would never know there is restaurant seating. There is outside seating with fire pits. When you walk in, there's a counter to buy coffee drinks and baked goods. I was thinking I needed to find the menu and order from the counter! Nope there was a "wait to be seated" sign that we walked up to. We were seated in a cute and quaint restaurant space with a small bar. It was about 5 minutes later when our server stopped by and took our order. I ordered the red chili mushroom tacos and my spouse got the black bean burger. The tacos were amazing, the tortillas were a bit soggy but the taco content was tasty. Fresh chunks of avocado, homemade tortillas chips. Very filling I ate 1.5 of 3! My spouse said the black bean burger was tasty. It was messy but delicious. The French fries were fresh and crispy. The ranch sauce tasted homemade. Great choice for lunch! Customer service was average. After receiving our food no one came to check on us until it was time to give us the bill. We were the last customers in the restaurant as they close for lunch at 3 pm. On our way out we bought an ice Americano. Love the fact they use Cannon Beach "Sleepy Monk" coffee beans. Bought a lemon blueberry scone for later. Happy with our choice! Worth a try! read more

Finding breakfast, really any meal, is a challenge in Manzanita these days. There are more tourists than restaurants ready to serve them. We came here several times the morning for coffee and light breakfast offerings. They have bagels, scones, oatmeal and avocado toast usually. There's indoor and outdoor seating. If you have dogs you can eat in the front outdoor tables but not the sectioned off patio. We had lunch in this area when we were with my mon and her dog. You are basically ordering to-go then dining out front. The lunch options were great. Great value on a massive Reuben with side. The ladies got the chicken wrap and they loved it. read more

This spot is absolutely unreal -- my husband and I were in town for a couple of hours and decided to stop by at the recommendation of an employee at a shop in town. We were NOT disappointed. --Food was so tasty; he ordered the rockfish hoagie with reg. fries, I ordered the tofu lettuce cups with sweet potato fries -- both dishes were very messy but the flavor (esp on my lettuce cups) was insane and the tofu was perfectly executed. The sweet potato fries were also the best I've ever had, perfectly salted and cooked well! --The cashier was so friendly and warm, I wish I got his name (young man with glasses?) but top-tier personality! --The restaurant is small and when we were there, wait times exceeded an hour for those looking to dine in; however we ordered takeout as we had our two dogs with us and enjoyed our meal on the outdoor space at the front of the property, our food came out quicker than expected. My family comes to Manzanita annually and this was the first time I've visited this spot, but it will now absolutely be an integral part of the location. read more

Service varies and so I don't weight that into scores, but there is some opportunity there... friendly, but missing some subtly that I've started to take for granted. Food was good and portions, especially for kids plates were incredibly generous. Kids gave full marks and I was impressed how much food vanished. I enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich and my wife's salad was great. Nothing unique or unexpected in flavor profile about the taste, but each dish delivered the "American classic" taste that it needed to. After waiting so long with hungry kids, there was no other option but to have soup and a hummus plate appetizer for dinner. The jalapeno ranch sauce is incredible with it. I had the salmon cakes and they are the best I've actually ever had and I eat them frequently at restaurants. The food was the highlight of our dinner stop to Offshore Grill. It's slightly off season (early September) and we called ahead for a table on a Saturday night. We were seated right away when we arrived. The interior is a small, tight space. They have a patio, but not all of it seemed to be in use on the evening we dined. Servers/staff were all nice; they seemed super busy. The place was definitely hoppin'. My friend and I essentially ordered the same meal. We shared the Brussels app which was terrific - not overdone. The orange tomato basil soup was also fantastic. Served piping hot, it was delicious. The gem salad was okay, certainly nothing special. The beets and hazelnuts were few and far between. Still, we left full and satisfied. A nice dinner to cap off our day. read more
