We decided to stop by for a few baked goods. You could tell everything was fresh and had that homemade feel. We had the cinnamon rolls and they are a Must buy! Fresh and fluffy. Lots of seating and a great view of the Bay Area. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in on a Sunday morning right when they opened. It's in a cute building that is a former Masonic Lodge, so it has lots of character. The very friendly staff person walked us through all the pastries in the case, all of which are made in house. We got a raspberry brioche that was delicious and a marionberry scone that also was quite tasty. We also split a couple breakfasts - an omelette that came with hashbrowns and homemade bread and the special crab quiche. Also ordered a couple bottomless drip coffees and a vanilla steamer for the kids to split. Everything was excellent. We also felt like it was a quality place, because they have real fruit jellies on the table plus Mrs. Meyers handsoap in the bathroom - small things, but they matter. Cost also seemed more than reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious , charming & a view. Not to diss Wanda's but I much preferred Handy Creek in Wheeler! The peach scone was sumptuous & moist - hello butter & cream. The crab quiche special was delicious & the sausage omelet was fantastic too. No wait - we waited almost an hour at Wanda's on Tuesday.

Homemade cinnamon roll and an INCREDIBLE homemade maple bar. Wow! The hubby and I were just rolling through and needed a cup of coffee and a bakery item for the road home, we are so glad we stopped here! She warmed the cinnamon roll for me and it was delicious, my almond latte was perfect (not too sweet, tasted like Starbucks honestly, but $2 less than a Starbucks latte!) and the maple bar donut changed our life. I wanted to turn the car around to get more!!! If we find ourselves rolling through this cute little beach town again we will definitely give some items on their breakfast menu a try. Yum!

If you're traveling through, stop by this quaint bakery for something homemade to eat and a confectionery desert. My husband and I passed by, not noticing that it was a resturant as well as a bakery, until we were already past it. We looked at other options to eat but for whatever reason chose the former. We both ordered the quiche that came with a soup. The food was super good. Just a bona-fide of Grandma's cooking as cliché as that might sound. We each got something for desert and hit the road.

Served day old bacon, it even smelled bad! Said something to waitress but said he just over cooked the bacon!

Not good, won't go back! You don't serve day old food to customers! The cinnamon rolls were good and service was good!

The vibe was honestly perfect, and I would go out of my way to come back The long: In good old Manzanita, there's this wonderful little spot for those that wanna have a drink and a good bite to eat. Welcome to poach 503. I was a solo diner looking for a bite to eat and stumbled upon this place and let me tell you it was packed 15 minutes after opening. Luckily, since I was by myself, I got to sit on the bar relatively quickly. As for the vibe, it was very homie cozy and honestly made you feel like you were part of the community. The lady that took my order was quick to answer questions and very straightforward, you could also tell that she knew all the locals by name and made a great conversationalist. I ended up getting a nice little hot chocolate wasn't the most adorable cup and sipping just watching the conversations roll by. As for my food, I got the Brekki sandwich which honestly melted in my mouth. It had an interesting tank to it, but that was part of the character that made it so good as for the potatoes that came with it they were fantastic. They had a nice mixture of Cajun and other spices(to my unknowing self). If anyone is in or near manzanita, I would definitely recommend as everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks in a lively environment with some good food. Rating: 4.75/5

We were the first group that didn't get seated when they opened and meant a 45 min wait. We were seated about 50 mins later. It was worth the wait. I loved the Florentine, the hollandaise sauce was perfect. French toast and Lemon Ricotta Pancake were perfect. It was a great brunch.

Not so long ago you would walk into a Resturant, a local business, a shop of any kind and employees were happy to see you and grateful for your business. With a few exceptions this feeling is dying in most businesses. The ownership has empowered employees with zero skin in the game to be the speaking agents for their business. I don't think that the message we get as consumers matches what the ownership would want. When I walked into the Big Wave Cafe tonight I got nothing but attitude from a young lady who acted very overwhelmed with the amount of customers in the Resturant. The place was very busy. Lots of staff standing back in the food prep area. Just standing and talking. I could tell she was stressed. Long story short I was made to feel as if I was a burden and unwelcome. I was prepared to spend 50.00 on a steak and another togo meal for my wife. Nothing but attitude from this young lady. I simply got up and walked out. There was another couple with two small children who walked out just after me. We spoke for a brief moment as they looked upset. They got the same experience. Be prepared to be talked down to and treated like they don't care if your there or not. We have eaten here before and never experienced the attitude. What happened ?

Doesn't look like much from the outside but very roomie, clean and nice inside. AMAZING service! Wish I had gotten the name of the young man behind the register yesterday that attended us. He was so nice, patient, and helpful! We sat outside in the front patio with our 2 pups enjoying the beautiful weather and got the food brought out to us. We split an oyster melt sandwich, albacore tuna sandwich, and their house made tomato/orange soup. You could tell the oyster and tuna both were very fresh and not canned or frozen nonsense. They said the tuna is sourced locally from Garibaldi area about 1/2 hour south of there. The strawberry lemonade had fresh strawberry in it and was delicious and not overly sweet. We then went for a very long walk on the beach to work it all off and came back few hours later to relax at the outside patio tables again and tried the dirty fries and salmon pita (BOTH DELICIOUS). and a must try too. The food here is different, unique, and not made how you would typically expect or get anywhere else. I thought the tuna sandwich would be boring but actually left me wanting more. We were sad upon return that we didn't get to try their CLAMS because they had run out since it's one of their most popular items, but we will DEFINITELY be returning to this place, and hope to be able to try their dinner menu sometime. We both highly recomend it!

There were plenty of parking in the lot and you walking the market store, the crabbing docks and some campsites on the walk to the outdoor restaurant part (also lots of fun photo ops too!) The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!
