Great Service and food were really good. Kind of tucked away can definitely miss it if you're not looking for it. There is a ton of Mexican food options on the same corner. The food was delicious Wifey got Chili relleno's delicious My boys got ChiliCheese fries with shredded Chicken and a Burrito Supreme with beef was "gas" as they say. I got the combination Carnitas Burrito really good, Bean tostada good and a Tamale not my favorite. Overall good vibes and good food we will visit again.

Across the street from the upscale Mexican restaurant in Arvada, this is a more typical Tex-Mex experience. Be warned! The service is usually pretty slow, even when it's not super busy, but grab a pitcher of margaritas to keep your glass full and enjoy the company and some delicious food! The food does come out in a normal time once your server gets around to you, so not a major concern there. The margaritas are good, the Queso Fundido- while a cheese dip instead of a normal fundido- is delicious, and the portions of food are more than generous. The Burrito Supreme is smothered in delicious cheese and green chili, and is packed with steak and goodness!

Full disclosure - we found Wapos Cantina, literally, by accident. Had we looked at the Yelp reviews, this likely wouldn't have been a happy accident, but it is what it is. Two other Mexican places nearby had 25 minute waits and higher prices. Yes, the ambiance is a little different, but at the end of the day, I'm down for good food, great staff and affordability. Wapos has all three. Their location isn't bad either, but they admittedly don't have great curb appeal. You might completely miss them, if you weren't really looking. Thank goodness we were. Their entrance is through a large walkway and once you pass their threshold, you realize how large their place is. Got a large group? No problem. Everyone, and I mean literally everyone, here was friendly and laughing. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood when we visited and took care of patrons with a smile. One guy behind the bar even sung along with their killer play list. Yep, I might have joined in. It was a good song. So now you know, we sat at the bar. Out came fresh chips and spicy, rich tomatoey salsa. My fav. This is salsa worth taking home. House marg and although not on the menu, I asked for a spicy marg. Both were really smooth and well balanced. They don't use store bought mixers here. It's all house made. Small change with a big impact. We each had two. We were crunched for time so ordered easy, fast entrees, and man, they came out fast. But holy cow, were they both delicious. Loaded nachos - only thing I'd change next time is to ask for queso cheese instead of shredded. His carnita tacos needed no edits. Wow. We were both blown away. I thought of all the folks across the way paying so much more for their meals and drinks - all when they could have as good or better meals here. And def a better price. Our bill? $75 = four cocktails, chips and salsa, two entrees. Yum and score! We will def be returning- and soon.

GUYS. Come here. It's by far the best Mexican restaurant in Arvada, (especially on this little corner that is saturated with "Mexican" food) and undoubtedly one of the best in Denver! The food is seasoned to perfection, you won't find that bland fajita/ taco meat here. Also my husband and I have become addicted to their chicken tortilla soup. Seriously, it's a problem. Lol. It's brothy, yet hearty and SO flavorful. We've been getting it for lunch once a week since we discovered it, and it's plenty for the both of us. The enchiladas are absolutely delicious and the chips and salsa are on point. I've eaten inside twice, and it's been dead both times. Not to say that this is the case all the time, but they deserve a chance in this saturated market! Their margs and micheladas are amazing too! Give them a shot.

I LOVE this place, the vegetarian menu is incredible and I can't stop ordering the tamales. The sides are yummy and the skinny marg has ruined margaritas for me....it's delicious! Not sure why the place across the street is so much busier, the service and food are much better at Wapos :) I will absolutely be back

1st time visiting Wapos and I was very impressed. Love the patios and clean environment. Great selections on the menu with healthy portions and reasonable cost. I had the burrito supreme smothered in green chili. It was excellent!

WOW, Absolutely DELICIOUS! From the start with Torteas and Guacamole, incredibly fresh and delicious! The Cheese (queso) enchiladas and mild sauce, I think the Cantina grow their own tomatoes! The sauces, had a slight (picante) heat in the backdrop of my palate. Fresh lettuce and more tomatoes, with black beans. Absolutely amazing. Service: Impecable via Edwardo who sub as bar tender, waiter and host. The ambiance has many rooms to choose from, plus a beautifully laid-out patio, with lights for the nighttime, including, the area I sat is an alternative to a closed or covered patio extension. And the cost for more than two meals, was an ease to pay. This Contina is on the corner of (Olde Town Arvada) 5777 Olde Wadsworth Blvd & 58th street, wonderfully decorated new and historical area for walking your dogs, all different venues, plus many other restaurant to add to your list, after re-visting Wapos Cantina! photos coming

Although parking is hard to find, this little hidden restaurant is worth looking for and walking to from your distant parking! Based on their glowing reviews, we (my husband, son, brother and sister-in-law) came for lunch before we attended the Titanic exhibit. When we entered, we were met and we asked to be seated outside since it was such a pleasant day and they had umbrellas over their tables. We sat at a round five-top metal table in the shade of an umbrella, and were quite comfortable. We were given menus and a pitcher of water and glasses. Despite is being happy hour all day on Monday, we decided to order a pitcher of margaritas for the five of us. Complimentary chips and salsa arrived and were fallen upon hungrily. The salsa had a somewhat smoky taste and was very fresh. My brother-in-law ordered steak fajitas, my sister-in-law had 2 tacos, one fish taco & one vegetarian taco, my son ordered enchiladas, my husband had the vegetarian enchiladas, and I ordered the Enchiladas Jalisco, one chicken and one cheese. All the food was deemed excellent by every one of us. I especially enjoyed the Jalisco sauce on my enchiladas. It was very authentic, chile-based enchilada sauce that I have missed having outside of New Mexico.

This is a relatively new restaurant in Old Town Arvada. We decided to give them a try since it has many good reviews. Sure enough it was a very nice place for us to have a lunch. First, be aware that parking in Old Town can be a small problem. There is plenty of public parking but it can involve a short walk to get to this place on the corner of Old Wadsworth Boulevard and Ralston Road. It's a crowded intersection with three Mexican places on 3 of the four corners. This place years ago was a great breakfast place but it has since changed over. The cantina is quite nice inside with a bar area, inside seating and a nice patio. I took a few photos for all that. It's clean and the service is good. I ordered the smothered burrito supreme. I asked for the meat to be ground beef though you have a choice of ground beef, shredded beef or chicken. My spouse ordered the chicken. The supreme comes with avocado and sour cream. They arrived in very large plates and looked fantastic. Again I took photos. Our third person ordered the quesadilla primavera. Wow! Did it look great! Besides the beautiful impression all of this made the food itself was quite good and very filling. We all took home half or more of our plates. It was all tasty, moist, flavorful and very enjoyable. Pricing seemed more reasonable than the competition but I liked the fact we had a nice time and were not crowded out by people. If you want Mexican head to that intersection and choose which place to go for your food. Our choice was not crowded and that worked out great for us. If you want a pleasant lunch or dinner stop in and give them a try!

The service was great; all the workers were incredibly friendly. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious.

Salsa was inedible. Guacamole was so so. Top shelf margaritas had to be remade to be right. This place is mediocre otherwise.

Stopped in for Happy Time with my husband…read more Parking is always a challenge. We were able to find a spot two blocks away. We both ordered the tacos, shaggy style. That is a favorite. We also got an order of chips and salsa. I like that it comes with three different salsas. He got a house margarita, while I decided on the coin. Both were very tasty. The service was great. The space does get loud. There were two tables with kids who meandered about rather than sit with their family. One toddler decided his shirt was unnecessary despite the parents telling him to put it back on. It was hard to hear for conversation.

DAMN!!!! You know how "FLUFFY" says DAMN when he wants your attention on stage? (if you don't read…read morebelow****)!! The 5 Stars were a toss up for me, due to approximately "10" TV's, which I am not use to, BUT THIS IS A SPORTS BAR, Family Bar, DOG PATIO, BRONCO BAR! Cochino Taco DELIVERS!. First the DOG Patio!! Just review the photos, DOGS are Important and they have their own special Dish "Asada" the Dog Special. Cochino offers the "Ease of Free Parking Lot!" I have driven by many times, promising I would check it out 'someday'! TODAY WAS THAT DAY! Aspen and I spent 2 hours at the HUGE off leash dog park, as Aspen chasing 100's balls throughout the park - it's time to eat! Cochino Taco Time: The menus are GREAT!! Filled with readable and pronounceable Real True to Life Mexican FOOD!!! And Drinks, ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR EVERY DAY! Cochino is filled with Cheers & Laughter, from the Patio with Dogs wagging tails - through the bar, dining room, side room, this is a great FUN Place. ""Did I mention, Broncos' were playing on all 10 TV's this day!!!"" The Bar has 5 Full Screen Tv's! Along with a TV in the side lounge, with 4 more TV's in the dining area (larger room). The patio is filled with people and their Dogs!! Not sure if there was a TV there, but a cute sign about "Doggy Manners" as one approaches the fence to the patio. Cochino Taco is, A FUN PLACE! and DAMN!!!! GOOD FOOD!! MEXICAN STYLE!! Lots of Drinks, Frozen and regular bar with Draft! (Cochino Taco is a thoroughly thought out small successful restaurant). Now some might say Cochino Taco is not traditional mexican!!! Ahem!! Hmmmm!!! The only place I believe one might find "Traditional Mexican fare" is in Mexico, Maybe!!! All chefs make their own style!!! What I found here at Cochino Taco was; a thoroughly delicious complete menu, with delightful service from the moment I stepped in, to the moment we left with warm Smiles. A perfect blend, having people returning for the FOOD, bring their best friends, family and - our DOGS, for the sports, and FUN Meal!!!! Most speak of the ALL Day "Happy Hour" which is from 11AM to 6PM!!! DAMN!!!! (FLUFFY!! said it!) The food menu was plentiful, including veggie style with hot sauce on the side for us timid one's, (speaking of myself). Ordering veggie style Cotija Taco & El Guaco Tostada, Asking about a doggy dish, not spicy or too much food; Kalian chimed in: "Oh Yeah, we have the Asada, we serve "Asada" specially made for ALL dogs!" "The Dogs love the Asada and we make it dog size portions!" Cost: $3.00, DAMN!! Honestly I do not know which of us, Aspen or myself, cobbled our food faster! Aspen's Asada or my Cotija & Tostada. I wanted MORE!!!! My waitress Kalian, was attentive, "just enough allowance" to know when we needed something or what to suggest. It was so ""Fluffy DAMN" Good!! I also viewed the huge basket of chips with salsas passing through the rooms; the basket of Chips was gigantic with 3 salsas; checked the menu....$4.00 WOW!! Cochino Taco is very unpretentious and yet draws a crowd everyday! The food, the service, comfort, FOOD, SERVICE (!!!) And the nice prices!!! Plus, I guessed 10 (!!) TVs' creates a wonderful FUN - Cheering atmosphere!!!! Meet a friend or bring the family, BUT U MUST Bring Your DOG!! Enjoy the patio, don't forget to ask about the "Doggy Asada" plus all the drinks you can imagine and GREAT FOOD!! AT GREAT Prices! Now that final price for all this fun and yummy food, less than $20.00!! DAMN!!! Cochino Taco is right off Ralston Road on the south side, just a narrow bit before town, all wooden building with off street parking. ENJOY WITH YOUR BEST FRIENDS!! *****((((((Fluffy is Gabriel Jesús Iglesias, SUPER FUNNY COMEDIAN!!, watch any U-Tube or HBO or when he is in town, worth the tears and belly ache from laughing so hard; DAMN!!)))))
