There are open stairs and gaps with no barriers, which made it stressful as my son kept running toward unsafe areas. We liked the climbing section with the big slide, but access wasn't very accessible and things got chaotic with kids not taking turns. The open field is nice for activities like kite flying, but again, no barriers meant constant redirection. Also worth noting: the dog park is right next to the baby swings and restrooms, and parking is very limited and easy to miss. Overall, some nice features, but the lack of safety made it more stressful than enjoyable for us.

We love MBP because it offers a clean, safe, and fun open space for all kids- including those with disabilities. There is so much for your little one to do, see, and explore. The only annoyance is the lack of parking. This playground brings out a number of visitors for the play area as well as soccer practice/games that always seem to be going on. Come here with an open mind and a whole lot of patience. Bonus points for the water bottle filling station. With just a few areas of shade, you will absolutely benefit from bringing a bottle to quench/cool your little ones. There is also the option of purchasing ice cream from the cart vendors that will make their rounds. 5 stars.

There's a huge gazebo in the center to provide shade along with trees scattered. I've never been in their restrooms so no idea if they're clean or not. Years ago we came here for a school field trip where the kids got to play in the water area, which is perfect for a hot summer day. There's also swings and play equipment. There's also grills and picnic tables for people to enjoy a lunch outdoors. They have a decent size parking lot and plenty of street parking as well.

The smaller structure is advised for 2-5 year olds and then there's the big kid structure that's supposed to be for 5-12 year olds. There are three types of swings, and two of each. There's a large sand area at both structures. Both structures are at least partially shaded. The smaller kid structure has more shade than the larger which is great since to me, keeping a younger child in shade is more important. There's also a basketball hoop and some grassy area bordering the play structure area. And there's picnic tables. It's not a huge park but it is lovely, and my 3 year old didn't want to leave. With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.
