Having an eye doctor on site and a local lab for quick repairs is a huge bonus -- everything gets done on the spot. Walked in twice to purchase prescription pieces - both time staff completely ignores me and other customers

RUN LIKE YOUR FEET ARE ON FIRE FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Deceptive Practices & Dishonest Business - Avoid This Shop! This deserves less than 1 star rating! Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with EuroCollective Optical Shop on Via Lido in Newport Beach, California and would strongly advise against trusting them with your eyewear needs. Night driving is a struggle for me due to the glare from oncoming lights and I found that the Zeiss DriveSafe is the best lens to assist with this issue. I contacted EuroCollective by phone first and spoke with Andy who said that they offer the Zeiss DriveSafe. Therefore, I went to the store, and I specifically requested Zeiss DriveSafe lenses, and Andy assured me they could provide them and charged me $899 for the lenses. However, after receiving my glasses, I discovered that they had swapped in their own in-house lenses (Shamir) instead which didn't even have any engraving on the lenses to ensure authenticity. This was a blatant bait and switch, and instead of owning up to their deception, they tried to gaslight me into believing there was no difference. When I confronted them about it, they continued to lie, insisting that their lenses were the same quality--if not better. In fact, they went so far as to claim their in-house lenses were superior to Zeiss and even called Zeiss lenses "shit" because they are now supposedly made in China. However, after some quick research, I found that while some Zeiss lenses are made in China, their higher-end lenses--including DriveSafe--are still made in Germany and/or the United States. What makes this even more ridiculous is that back on November 10, 2024, the owner, Larry Sands, posted on their Facebook page boasting about a customer's lens used in his Bugatti glasses as being Zeiss lenses made in Germany. So, which is it? Are Zeiss lenses world-class, or are they "shit"? In a short 2 months, Zeiss has moved all their production to China? Clearly, they'll say whatever suits their sales pitch at the moment as it was discovered that they are not even an authorized Zeiss distributor. After pressing them further, they finally capitulated and admitted to the deception and agreed to give me a full refund. Then Andy proceeded to tell me to go to one of their colleagues in Newport Coast who does offer Zeiss lenses. Why didn't they offer this referral in the beginning? Clearly, they wanted to maximize their profits by their shady practices. When I asked for additional compensation for my wasted time, research, frustration, and being conned, they initially offered to comp the glass frames--only to rescind the offer shortly after, stating that the "business transaction is done." To make matters worse, they even had the audacity to claim that I was extorting them by requesting additional compensation. It's ironic to be accused of extortion by a business that profits through deceptive pricing and price gouging to fund their beautiful Newport Bay view. Perhaps they should take a hard look at their own practices before making baseless accusations. The reality is this entire situation would have never happened if they had been honest from the start. It's clear that this shop prioritizes profit over integrity. If a business misleads customers about something as important as prescription lenses, how can they be trusted with anything else? Transparency and honesty are essential, and this shop fails on both fronts. Take your business elsewhere to avoid getting scammed! read more

We have been coming here for years. Only place we go for prescription eyewear. We see Ali every time we need new glasses. He finds the best looking glasses for our faces and is very thorough with our prescription needs to make sure we get it right the first time. 3/4 of us in our family need prescription glasses so they know us well! Super friendly, great NEW location in Lido, amazing selection and very knowledgeable. Pricing is honestly very fair and competitive, quality and selection is above and beyond. Recently, for the first time I had to get into progressive lenses which Ali had so much knowledge about. After talking with him and testing out a pair I felt at ease on the need for progressive lenses and am very happy with my selection and amazing lenses they make now more natural to our eye movement and needs for easy adaptation. Eurocollective is always brining in new styles, up to date on technology and changes in lenses for prescriptions. Super knowledgeable staff! You'll always be in good hands here. Went in after seeing one of their ads. I was greeted by Christina, the owners wife, who was lovely. She introduced me to Veronica, who was great and showed me all the glasses I wanted to see. I came in to just check things out, but ended up buying three pairs of glasses. As someone who has worn glasses my whole life, I have never been to place with such a high-end and niche selection. This place isn't for for the faint of heart. I also got to know Adi from the Eurowatch side, who was great as well. If they can't even be truthful about something as basic as their own policies, how can they be trusted with anything else? These store is ran by a munch of used car sales men. They forced me to buy a very expensive frame and progressive glasses a while ago which after 6 months of back and forth they could not get it right. I finally gave up and never used the glasses again, lost $1000 and lots of time! Today I went to try another frame, I'm taking a picture of my self with the frame, this bold sleazy salesman grabs the frame from me and says: we don't let people take pictures of our frames!!! I told him I need to know what I'm buying, and walked out of their store. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. They just want to sell you the most expensive thing. They don't what they are doing. read more

I have terrible vision and having good vision is critical to me. I cannot function in any capacity without glasses. My prescription is very complicated and hard to execute. I also want my glasses to have some flair since they are sitting right on my face, but it doesn't matter how good they look if they don't fit and are sliding down your nose or pinching your head. I recently moved to the area and was unable to find an optician who fit the bill until I came across Eurocollective. They are the real deal. The owner, Larry Sands, has had a long and successful career at the highest level of the fashion eyewear business. Both he and his optician-colleague, Andy, helped me find frames that look terrific, are totally comfortable, and I can see perfectly through the lenses. I received the finished product in 48 hours. Now, I can read street signs which driving. And, if I'm going to spend a lot of money on a 4K TV, I want to be able to see it in 4K! They are not cheap, but I believe it's worth the splurge because good glasses are so important to me and I got the highest value in product and service. read more

I wanted to get a second pair of optical glasses and frequent fashion island often. Had been to Eurocollective before, but had not made a purchase yet. Each time I had been in the store, everyone had been very patient with me. This time I was helped by Tyler who provided excellent service and assisted me with trying on several pairs of eyeglasses. Eurocollective has an excellent selection of luxury frames from Matsuda to many of the brands pioneered by Larry Sands, the owner. I ended up selecting a pair of Chrome Hearts and provided my prescription. They were able to fit my lenses to the frame within the hour and adjusted them to my liking. I will definitely be back when my prescription changes or I need new frames. I have been to many different optical shops in Orange County, but have had a hard time finding a place as well equipped as here. read more

My wife and I recently visited EuroCollective to replace lenses in reading glasses for her. EuroCollective did a great job filling a prescription for reading glasses for her. We have tried for years to get a reader properly fitted for her and finally for the first time have found an optician to accurately fill the prescription and to adjust and make the proper glasses for her. She took her own frames to Ali who is the optician and Ali reviewed the prescription and worked very carefully with her to get everything perfect. He was patient, understanding, and very professional. He made sure my wife was correctly fitted and satisfied with the result.
