I had the most awful experience here with Evelina. She was so rude to me when I came to pick up my glasses. Never coming back again

I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I scheduled my annual exam in advance, took time off work, and showed up only to be told my insurance wouldn't approve my visit until the following week. There was no call, text, or heads-up--just a wasted trip and lost time. When I finally came back for my rescheduled appointment, I waited over 30 minutes before being told the optometrist was running late, and it ended up being about 45 minutes to an hour past my original appointment time before I was seen. If they had communicated sooner, I could have used my time better, especially since I was sitting there with a toddler growing impatient. Then when I came back to pick up my glasses, they were made with the wrong lens color. Now I'm being told it will be another two weeks to fix them. That's yet another trip and more delay. The optometrist himself is great, but everything else--from scheduling to communication to quality control--has been very unprofessional and frustrating. I really hope they improve, because patients deserve better than this. read more

I have a chip in each of my lenses that they put into my frames and they basically told me to pound sand because it's been 45 days since I picked them up. Their customer service is BS. Not even an I'm sorry, just that it's been longer than 30 days. If you only care about having pristine glasses for 30 days, go here otherwise skip it. What a waste of $280.00 read more

Had a custom pair of lenses made here for a frame I provided. It cost 425 dollars with insurance (without it would have been 600 plus). It was not communicated to me beforehand that if I provided the frames and they broke, that Lenscrafters would not provide any support whatsoever. The lenses I got back were significantly heavier/thicker and the weight kept dragging my glasses down (which I did call them about but they said they couldn't make them any thinner). During the weeks after I picked up my glasses, the right lens kept popping out (never had any issues with the frames before this), and I kept having to put them back in. The fourth or fifth time this happened, the frame broke and the lens slipped out and fell onto the floor and chipped. I tried to get help for this issue by calling the branch on numerous occasions. The branch manager, Rita, was condescending and kept interrupting me on the phone when I tried to explain my situation on multiple phone calls. I talked to another employee (a man whose name I did not get unfortunately) who said he would try to contact the regional manager and get back to me on whether they could replace the one chipped lens as a courtesy, but he never called me back. The final time I called, Rita blamed me for not calling (again, the man said he'd contact me) or coming in for so long (I live quite away and had to travel for work so I couldn't physically come in for a few weeks), and said they're not responsible for anything that happens after the lenses are picked up. Basically they never offered me any recourse at all except a 50% off for a pair of frames and lenses that they provide, which would still be probably hundreds more dollars on top of what I've already lost. I am now out of 425 bucks with a chipped lens I can't use, so even if I bought a new pair of the same frames, Lenscrafters would not replace that one lens that was chipped. Honestly this was such a bad experience it brought me to tears. I had hoped that paying for high quality lenses, something that I avoided doing for many years because of the cost, at an established business would be better than buying cheap lenses online, because they would last me for a long time and I wouldn't have to worry about this again for many years. But the whole thing was just awful from beginning to end and the customer service and cost was deplorable. Do not get custom lenses made at Lenscrafters, especially not at this Lenscrafters. read more

I usually come here for my yearly eye exam so I figured I would get my prescription glasses here this year. I look through their limited selection and select one that looks decent. Go through the process and was told I would be notified in 2 weeks. 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing. I end up calling the store and find out they had it all along. Fine. I head to the store and find out it's the wrong glasses. It wasn't the one I chose. The store manager tried to convince me to take them away and said they looked fine but if I wanted the one I originally selected, I would need to pay an additional amount and wait another two weeks. At this point, I tell her I just want a refund. She asks me for my receipt (weird how she didn't ask for my receipt when I was picking up). I told her that I didn't have it on me but I'm sure it's in the system. She tells me she needs the receipt for the return. I pull up the receipt emailed to me from Lenscrafters and she says the store doesn't do returns with those (??). Then she goes to the computer and pulls it up ( like...why ask me then..). She tells me that i used a FSA card to purchase it. I told her I did not. She told me I had to have. I show her my credit card statement of the charge. Somehow she still didn't believe me. Told me that the ONLY way I could have made a transaction that day was with a FSA card since the transaction they processed would not have gone through otherwise (??). I told her that my statement clearly shows i used my credit card. She looks at the last 4 numbers of the card on the receipt and sees it matches my credit card. She doesn't say anything. Just processes my refund (finally). Not a single apology from her the entire time. No apology for not notifying me that my glasses were ready. No apology for giving me the wrong glasses. No apology for essentially claiming that I was lying about the method I paid even though she was wrong. And absolutely no apology for trying to make the return process more difficult than it needed to be. I like the optometrist there, I think he's very professional and knowledgeable. Never had a problem with him. But I would never buy glasses from that located again. I will be finding another location for my vision needs. read more

Long wait time and poor customer service. On a Saturday, there was only 1 sales associate working and a family taking their sweet time picking out frames. The sales lady did not bother to acknowledge or accommodate other customers. I waited a while near by and was not acknowledged and also walked around the mall and came back to the same situation. I will not be returning. I recommend trying a different store if you would like to have better customer service and a chance to order within a reasonable time frame. read more

Very poor customer service! Ordered glasses on the 17th of July and was told that they would take about 10-14 business days to come in, but would get a notification as soon as they arrived in the store. Called today on the 29th as it has been nearly 14 days since I placed the order and was never notified. The employee informed me they had arrived on the 23rd and had been sitting there ready for pick up for 6 days! When I asked why I wasn't ever notified they were ready she just told me oops must have been a "miscommunication" and claimed they sent a text message to me on the 23rd (which I never received.) Obviously have a flawed notification system or just careless employees who lack communication skills. read more

I have purchased many glasses from many places throughout the years. I usually go to non-commercial, smaller type businesses and had never tried a large chain type store. Surprisingly, they had an amazing amount of wonderful designer frames to try on. It was great. I highly recommend asking for Luna. I came to this location today because my Rayband sunglasses had a missing nose pad and Victoria, was extremely nice and helpful, fixed it for free as as well as fixing a screw that was popping out because it was stripped. I really appreciated her willingness to help me out and as well as the fact that it was a simple fix with no charge. Was very disappointed i scheduled an eye exam to get glasses. I also get colored contacts with no prescription because I only need reading glasses. I'm checking out and they slipped the charge that I now owed for a co tacy exam. I've had colored contacts for several years and never had a prescription. I feel that they were adding fees and "as ons" for only needing reading glasses i was charged for now contact exams. Also thr manager kimokeo ignored my concerns, didn't address my concerns for being over charged. He just ignored my concerns. I won't be coming back here anymore. There are several other optometrists that won't dupe me in extra fees. They should have advised of the extra fee for contacts as in the past i never had prescriptions on and still don't need. read more

I visited this location on 12/31/19 for a adjustment of my glasses as they were expanded from the weather. All was fine until I noticed when I got home a huge scratch/dent on my frames that was not there before I got them readjusted! Now I have a huge scratch on the inside of my frames! I keep my glasses in great condition! This was not here before. I will never return here. I am beyond mad and disappointed. Update: After contacting customer service, I heard from the store, guess what I'm offered? A measly 15% off a new pair of glasses!!! Are you kidding me!? What an insult. You mess up my perfect frames and then have the audacity to try to get me to give you business for something you damaged? Horrible service. Absolutely appalled, and disgusted. Oh, and David if you're reading this your little line about how I "keep my glasses in great condition" to cover your ass wasn't cute, and makes you a disgusting liar, and a cheat. You should be fired! Never let this man touch your glasses! I will never ever return here, or to any LensCrafters location. I took my parents here in early September for their eye exams and new glasses Then I returned for my exam and a pair of my own in late September/ Early October We had some issues with manufacturing defects, my mother with her transition lenses and myself with my frames. We received help from the managers Adam and Aleksandr, during those respective visits. They were prompt, empathetic and professional in response to our issues. I would highly recommend this location, due to their obvious high standard for exceptional customer service. The doctor is fabulous as well, thorough and efficient. Awesome location and service every time I visit. Quality service, great prices, and vast selection. Kevin and David are my go to people when I visit. They help me with every question I have and are cool guys in general. They're always helping me clean and reshape my glasses due to wear and tear without judgement or getting annoyed (Really. My girlfriend stops by once a month. She's notorious for throwing her glasses around and "accidentally" sitting on them in the car and David is still always happy to help un-smush them). Dr. Chi Chang is the best optometrist in Orange County! I've never had contacts before and he and his staff made it an enjoyable experience...the best part is, I can actually see now! It's been hassle free and stress free every time I've visited. Appointments are quick but you're not rushed, he's able to answer all of your questions and makes sure that you're comfortable and gives you different options and choices. Highly recommend! 5/17/17 Just came in to get more contacts AND decided to get new glasses! I ended up getting two pairs, one for work and one for outdoors. Is it funny to say I actually enjoy coming in here? Mr. Anjos (I think that's how you spell his last name, i call him mr. Boujie) helped me out. Team is very professional and supportive. Even though they don't accept my Insurance, have been getting my prescription glasses done here past 3 years, because they get me some or the other deal. Couldn't be happier with my visit here. Anh and Sean were super helpful when I was picking out my glasses and made the whole process super easy. Dr. Chang was very informative during my eye exam and answered any questions I had. I really liked that they went over all of their lens options but recommended ones based on my prescription and what they think was best for me rather than promote pricier options that my eyes didn't need. Overall, I'm glad I decided to go with this location and Lens Crafters as I know my eyes will be in good hands. Every time I buy prescription or sunglasses, I come to this specific LensCrafters location. The store is clean and spotless every time I visit, has a wide selection of styles fit for every taste and has the best employees. With COVID and everything going on, I am especially happy with the level of care and caution the employees take in making sure the store is immaculate and safe for customers. Every pair of glasses is immediately disinfected after someone touches it. Customers and employees are wearing masks and socially distanced. Even without COVID this store is clean (seriously, you can't miss this store because it is so bright and shiny). The team members of this store are probably the best part. A store can be clean and have what you want, but without a supportive and caring staff, it's nothing. Every employee I've encountered here has been professional, prompt, and helpful. The store could be really busy and hectic but they are always smiling and happy to help. I especially would like to give major thanks to Kevin and David. Those two have truly gone out of their way every time to ensure I am happy with my purchase. I am blessed with an Asian nose (low bridge) so it's hard for glasses to fit perfectly and stay put on my face. Kevin and David have countless of times cleaned and reshaped my glasses (they're even more particular about it than I am to be honest). Sometimes I'll (shamelessly) come to the store just to bring my glasses to get cleaned and reshaped by them and it's perfect every time. They'll give their honest opinions when asked, try their best to track down any product your heart desires and will treat you like a friend.
