Oh boy. Two young girls with bad attitudes managing the store yesterday on a Sunday afternoon at Fashion Island (6.14.2026). Lots of foot traffic in the store yet they both stayed behind the desk. We asked a question and received a snippy, one word answer. I've been wearing wayfarer frames since before these girls were born so this was frustrating at best. We still bought the glasses for the wife; she deserved them. Yet my inkling for picking up a pair for myself quickly eroded with this subpar, unprofessional and unacceptable customer service, especially after continued, one-word answers to my polarized lens follow up questions to the frames I was considering. We still like the styles so we plan to visit another location...but we will NEVER go back to this location. Shame on Ray Ban for allowing such immature, unprofessional staff to run their high-end location. read more

I received a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses as a gift and really enjoyed using them. I needed to get them repaired because the right lens was damaged, so I went to the Ray-Ban store in Newport. They took excellent care of me and ordered the replacement lens, promising to resolve the issue within a few days. When I returned a few days later, my glasses looked brand new. So I had the worst customer service experience of my life. Ordered a pair of metas waited for them to come in. They come in and I was called. They swapped out my lens and scratched them all up. Sent them to me anyway, and when I called, I was spoken to like I was a 5 year old and treated like a burden/liar. I ask for the manager and rep refused, asked for reps name and she would not give it to me. Fine, but don't put your names on the receipt if you are concerned about privacy rather than getting canned for incompetence and inability to provide service. Shame rayban I'll be coming in store for a full refund and a conversation with the manager. I'll follow up here after that. I have also written a formal email to the regional sales manager. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service at this store. I tried on a pair of glasses and asked one of the employees white man with light-colored hair--if they had the same style with darker or black lenses. Although he briefly looked, it felt like he wasn't genuinely trying to help and handled the situation very superficially. He didn't offer any meaningful assistance or inform me that darker lenses might be available through special order. For a main Ray-Ban store, I was surprised by the lack of available options. I ended up purchasing the glasses even though they weren't in my preferred color, mainly because there was no guidance or recommendation provided. He simply said they didn't have that lens color in stock. He even handed me a display item, which made the experience feel even less professional. What was most frustrating is that I later ordered the exact style I wanted with black lenses through the website. Despite knowing I was specifically looking for darker lenses, he never suggested ordering online or offered any alternative solutions. Overall, the service was extremely poor, and as an Asian customer, his attitude made me feel uncomfortable and possibly discriminated against. First, let me start by saying the selection, purchasing and ordering side of the encounter was awesome. Madeline offered outstanding service - guiding me through the process of selecting and purchasing a pair of WayFarer Meta AI glasses. They didn't have them in stock so they had to be ordered. No issue. She tracked them and discovered an issue with delivery within the anticipated period - and she created a solution that worked. I'd like to add here - I purchased the Meta's, another pair of sunglasses and their cleaning kit - sale was over $500. I received a call from Jess indicating a surprise - they came in (days earlier than anticipated). I drove down and walked into the store. That is where things fell apart. Jess was with another customer. I worked with someone that never offered her name. She went and retrieved the order and unceremoniously handed me a box to open. I struggled getting them out of the case. She "told" me this is how to get them out. I asked a couple of questions about them and her responses were un-energetic and flat. I then pulled out a bottle of cleaner from Oakley - requesting a refill. I was immediately told "we don't do that here - it's from Oakley". She admitted they are all one company - but again, "we don't offer the refills here unless you buy one of our kits". Really? You just self admitted you are all the same company. I have walked into other companies under the umbrella and received refills without an issue. She went on to explain she would HAVE TO dump the little remaining liquid out and again, we don't do that here. Bottom line - actual turn over interaction was such a disappointment - a simple $.25 or $.50 fill of cleaner cost them this customer and caused this review. When I calmly mentioned to her I would have to seek service elsewhere her response was "okay" and then dismissed me without thinking twice. Epic failure on her part. This store lost a customer that spent over $500 over a $.25 solution and an employee who does not enjoy her job - or finding solutions like Madeline and Jess did. So sorry. read more

My husband is completely blind and these were not used as a novelty. He used them daily to read, use email, text, etc. 13 months into having the glasses, the speakers broke. I contacted Ray Ban and they basically said " oh well, the warranty is expired. You'll have to buy new ones". No way, never. Horrible customer service. He wasn't able to help me when I asked him to look up some contact information on the website. He went to the Meta address but could not find anything, then proceeded to the next customer. After I said OK, I left. I didn't get any other support from the store. Still trying to get support to reset my glasses factory, but being told it was before his time wasn't the right response. Came in today to see about getting my meta glasses repaired. Spoke to the manager and they said they had to call them to see what to do. But actually they called lens crafters who I purchased the lenses from after a little bit the manager said I would have to return them to lens crafters to see what they would do but all I wanted was to send them in to ray ban and have them fixed and put in the new screw. The manager told me ray ban does not repair the meta glasses. If they break and are not under warranty then they are trash and you have to buy new ones. My frames were on my 7 months old and lost the screw but they will not fix them. Then when I was trying to understand that rayban does not cover their own products the manager wanted to make sure that everyone on the store new she went out of her way to help me and I should be grateful. But I see it as her job to help customers. All she had to do was to explain that unless they are under warranty then rayban can not help me. Bad customer service and poor product support I would not purchase anything from this store and I might never purchase from rayban again since they don't fix their own products. read more

I did not buy anything from this place but my mother did and I witnessed everything. We were both promptly welcomed to the store and asked if we needed help with anything by Christian. My mother knew exactly what she was looking for, and he went into the back to find the exact pair she wanted. They did not have it in the color she was looking for (though in my personal opinion, the glasses she bought were better looking than what she had originally wanted), and they had none of the second color (the ones she ended up buying) in the back, but she could have the store floor ones if she wished. This store is great when you are looking getting a fresh pair of shades due to the many different styles that they offer in store. However, it is pretty small and it gets crowded fast. People are grabbing and trying on glasses then placing it back on the shelf. No one is wiping the glasses and I didn't see anywhere if they offered a cleaning wipe so that I can wipe down the glasses. It was challenging to get assistance since it was really busy when I went. I ended up not purchasing glasses. The little help that I got was completely useless, I was looking for a specific pair of glasses and the lady didn't even try to help me find them or something similar. She said " if it's not on display, then we don't carry it in store." read more

Drove here while visiting California from Vegas, Ray Ban's website said I could return my wife's sunglasses I bought her at this location. Evidently that is not true at this store. Lead lady at the store gave me attitude on why it must not be working on their side. Told me to call Ray Ban, which on their website I cannot find a phone number otherwise I would have done that way before coming to this store! They were not help at all and didn't offer to do anything to help, except give me the customer service number after I asked for it! Will never be back to this store. read more

Melanie was super nice and helpful today! Got my glasses after I broke the lenses, and she was very informative and answered all my questions with ease. I saw some fingerprints on my lenses and started wiping them off myself, but she saw me and immediately asked me if I would like her to do it for me. I was absolutely taken aback and impressed with her attentiveness to what I was doing. She cleaned them extremely well and asked if the glasses fit me properly, offering to fix them for me. 1. Was told she would give me "new ones from the back" but ended up getting the same ones off the shelf that were all shifted from different people trying on. 2. Then the computer in the back just so happened to shut off when it wss processing my card so she claimed the payment didnt go through even though it showed as processing on my debit statement. 3. She continued to try to get me to pay again = $800 for 2 pairs of glasses. 4. For some reason it just rubbed me the wrong way so I called Wells Fargo & they claimed it had in fact processed. Our family received horrible customer service. The glasses broke the first time my son wore them and apparently "that happens all the time". I was literally watching him put them on like you would any pair of glasses and they broke in his hand. The team at Ray Ban (Newport Beach) were absolutely worthless and unwilling to help at all. If we can't return a product that broke after first use, then Ray Ban should tell you when you buy their product.
