After realizing I left only my glasses case out of state, I searched all stores in IAD to realize they only sell Rx frames and sunglasses (no eyeglass cases). I saw Warby Parker at the Amtrak station and thought asking the store associate for cases wouldn't hurt. To my surprise, the associate (who was stationed at the desk on Friday, June 27), saw me, related to the struggle of leaving something valuable behind and offered me an extra glasses case at no charge. Based on this excellent customer service, I'll highly consider returning to this store to buy frames if prescribed to buy again in the future. Thank you :) read more

I want to give a shout-out to Shana for her professional and courteous service this evening. I managed to sit on my glasses and suffered a distorted vision all day at work. I dropped by the store after work. Shana expertly bent them back into shape in just a few mins and professionally cleaned them. The eye examiner, Warby Parker missed a major cataract I had and gave me a terrible prescription. Luckily an ophthalmologist spotted it saying I have a severe cataract and gave me surgery and corrected it. Now Warby Parker's refusing to even give me new lenses. So the medical care is terrible and also the willingness to take responsibility for a major mistake. Do not use them. I recommend Costco. read more

Great first experience at this Warby Parker! The environment was inviting and the associates were warm and friendly! They were all eager to help. I had a few questions about insurance reimbursement and they were thoroughly answered. There were different types of glasses, some traditional, others were a little funky and eclectic which was nice. My experience today at Warby Parker could have been better. Cassidy who I've typically worked with to figure out which frames I want said something to the effect of: "I almost didn't recognize you, you look like one of those homeless people". I responded, "Housing insecurity has no look". This may be due to the fact that I had a backpack on. I am training for the upcoming Suicide Walk. Cassidy's word choice was unbecoming. It seems as though Cassidy treats you better when you are dressed a certain way. This behavior is unbecoming of a Warby Parker employee. Especially since I am one of the first wearers of Warby Parker - est. 2013. I'll never forget the first time I tried on a pair of Warby Parker frames. I knew that Warby Parker, an online eyewear company was going to change lives with their affordable, accessible eyewear. I understand that we're in covid and thus there's a lot of pressure on a few stores to do eye exams for the entire w Warby Parker chain. However, when I drive 50 minutes in traffic to get an eye exam, I'm 2 minutes late over the grace period, and I'm unable to get an eye exam... That's unacceptable and extremely unaccommodating! I'm a new Warby Parker devotee. The home try-on system is great and the product is so much better than any other online shop I've ever used. I received my first pair two weeks ago and ordered an additional pair of glasses as well as prescription sunglasses. I'm in love with the pair that I have (lapis Crystal color Hallie glasses). However, after wearing them each day, they started to slip off of my face and needed an adjustment. Thankfully, Warby Parker also has brick and mortar stores and I was able to have my glasses adjusted at Union Station location between trains. I was immediately greeted and did not have to wait long at all for the adjustment. The employees were very professional, cheerful and best of all, my glasses were adjusted perfectly. The best part of going to the Warby Parker store is seeing all of their glasses collection in person! I'm pretty sure they sell everything in store that they do online. Furthermore, if you need an eye exam, you can make an appointment and have it done here. Warby Parker accepts some vision insurance plans and will reimburse you if needed. Overall, Warby Parker at Union Station gained a fan! I can't wait to get some more glasses (when my vision will certainly deteriorate) in the future. read more

I had an amazing experience at the Union Station Warby Parker. I have been rocking my Finch frames for over 3 years and last week they broke in half! :-( I went to the shaw location and picked out a new pair (Francis) but those ended up looking like coke bottles due to my strong prescription. The next day I was determined to find the perfect pair. When I walked into this location I was greeted by Leah pronounced (Lay-aa) and she was amazing! She was patient with me and allowed me to try on several frames. She too is an everyday eyeglass wearer so she understood my woes. This time I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't have the coke bottle look so Leah brought over the Optician, Tim? and he really boosted my confidence assuring me that I'd love the end result. I was lucky enough to stumble into Warby Parker's opening day at Union Station and work with the store leader, Chandni, who is not only incredibly stylish and kind but also super efficient and basically a wizard. Within 20 minutes I had tried on 3/4 of the store's offerings, and selected five frames (that is to say, Chandni guided my selections). They were bookmarked and now await me. Honestly: shopping for eyewear at a major metropolitan transport hub doesn't at first sound like sound strategy but listen up east coast friends: get on this. You won't regret! I got my acetate warby parker glasses adjusted here. I think they did a great job. Before adjustment they were falling down my nose and I was thinking of returning. The adjustment made a huge difference. The arms fit the side of my head now. I will probably keep these. $120 with the 15 percent discount. Good price for glasses. read more

The Optometrist, Dr. Vyas was very professional and did an amazing job counseling me on my vision loss. The opticians were very patient and provided excellent guidance while selecting my frames. The pricing was reasonable and the selection was perfect. This was definitely the best experience I've had getting new glasses. I recommend it! read more

This place rocks! I feel like the selection has greatly increased from when they first started as a company. The place is bright, clean, and everyone was helpful and friendly. Immediately after ordering I requested to switch frames (within literally 5 minutes - I hadn't even left the store) and they employee Sydney said I couldn't because it went through insurance. I though that was odd because all I was changing was frame color, and not sure why that mattered. I asked a couple times with the same response. It seemed really weird for a company like WP that allows people to try different frames. So, I asked the manager, and without flinching she said "of course we can do that." That type of protocol needs to be cleared up because receiving that statement in error left me with a sour taste in my mouth on an otherwise very positive experience. I would come back again, as the price and service seemed great. I mean, who hates glasses stores that has these obnoxious prices?! Nobody. read more

First, let me say that I have a larger head (keep the jokes to yourself)! I've been struggling, wearing undersized Ray Bans for too long. Finally decided to try Warby Parker, since I have a pair of blue light glasses that fit perfectly. The team there was extremely friendly, and helped me find two pairs that were perfect fits and looks. I ended up buying both pairs, and don't regret any part of that decision! read more

My (non-Warby) eyeglasses broke and they fixed them in about 5 minutes for free. I was surprised to see they also have an optometrist on site - eye exams are just $75! Unfortunately the optometrist can't give prescriptions for rigid gas permeable lenses - which I wear - so I'll go elsewhere for my exam. But if you just need glasses or regular contacts it's a great deal, and I appreciate the staff explaining it all to me before I booked an appointment! I look forward to coming back for new frames once I get my prescription elsewhere. All of the employees were extremely nice and offered help even though they were fairly busy. read more

I had a glasses and contacts eye exam at Warby Parker with Dr. Vyas and then purchased glasses. I felt very cared for by the staff. During part of my eye exam, I had vasovagal syncope and became light-headed and nauseated (not the doctor's fault---just my body's reaction to the corneal pressure part of the exam). She got me snacks and water and helped me lie down. During all of this she was very reassuring and made me feel safe and cared for. All of the staff were warm and helpful and had great teamwork. I found a cute pair glasses and even with the highest index lens for my strong prescription, the total glasses cost was only about $225. read more

Great! I scheduled my exam for 11am on a Friday.... I showed up.... filled out my paperwork and was seen promptly at 11am.... exam was thorough. I had looked at frames online that I was interested in prior to my appointment and had noted them.... so after the exam, I tried them on.... asked the optician for some feedback.... selected what I wanted and was finished and on my way back to my office all during my lunch break. read more

I wanted to like this brick and mortar location of the hip online glasses company, however my experience proved to be more difficult. I took in my current glasses and was originally told it was "illegal" to use them to get my new prescription. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they misunderstood what I was asking. After the realization that I wanted to do the $40 check, we were in business again. They figured out the prescription and as I waited to do the quick eye check the employee told me they were unable to make glasses based on the prescription. I know little about optometry and glasses however the explanation provided no greater understanding as to why they were unable to help. I'm not criticizing their limited abilities, instead the lack of expertise that you may find at another eye doctor. My glasses are glorified reading glasses and I'm still a little baffled they were unable to help. I left empty handed and a little confused, however the glasses options looked nice, just apparently, not for me... oh well. read more

I have been trying to have an eye exam at a Warby Parker for some time. My husband got some sweet glasses there, they have an inexpensive selection and they (ostensibly) accept my insurance. First I tried the Shaw location. I arrived on time, filled out paperwork then I was told they were unable to take my insurance because the doctor is temporary and "is not credentialed on that insurance plan yet." They told me the Union Station location would accept my insurance. I called to make an appointment, confirmed that the Union Station location accepts my insurance, hauled myself across town, arrived early, filled out paperwork, and again was told that they do not accept my insurance at this location, because - get this - the doctor is new, and "is not credentialed on that insurance plan yet." They tried to get me to make another appointment because they have another doctor who "accepts my insurance" but at this point, it just feels like a scam to get you into the store. Too much time already wasted. They get 2 stars only because the guy who helped me check in was kind and helpful. The manager, on the other hand, couldn't care less and was not apologetic at all. Buh bye Warby Parker - thanks for, literally, nothing. read more
