Just a quick review. Heads up for people. The one yelp photo's a bit inaccurate and they've moved 1…read moredoor down in the same plaza. First off: I love they have more space but now having gone twice i've noticed they seem 1-2 people short of being fully staffed. The glasses tech that was helping me was simultaneously helping another person and a couple other people seemed to be doing 2 or 3 different things at the same time. This can lead to some longer waits, but not too bad. Second: They had me in the system as showing up for new contacts, even though i'd ticked the "I wear glasses and contacts" button online. This one was solely for a new, maybe back-up pair of glasses. My dr. (Judith) seemed a bit confused that I didn't want that, since I really only wear contacts when at the beach, and had to change that on my chart. She also was very perturbed that, since my last visit, I hadn't followed up with a recommended glaucoma doc because of my "large optic nerves" and family history (a grandparent). She kind of scolded me for it, and to be frank, that seemed a bit unnecessary. Why? well, life got busy last year after my last visit in various ways. And, i'd been told there could be quite the wait with that doc. Also, every other eye doc i've seen has said to just "monitor it" however possible. Lastly, I think it's pretty normal to forget to follow up with a recommended specialist, especially when my vision is fine.

I would be more than happy to return the glasses but the hassle free return end after 30 days and the bill came in today. I checked my insurance website and they were told back in November that they wouldn't cover the whole thing. So they could have told me back then instead of waiting till after the return period. Don't pay until after you get confirmation from your insurance company. Call them yourself. Don't let MyEyeDr tell you it's covered.

Located in a shopping center, they had plenty options for parking. Staff was friendly and efficient and made the visit relatively quick and painless. I won't be returning. I initially went for an eye exam. The woman doctor who helped me was really wonderful and patient and helped talk me through options with my prescription. The man at the front desk who ran insurance was also helpful and listened when I wanted a contacts quote without ordering them. If this review was just for the exam visit, I would give 4 stars. However, the doctor recommended I come back to get my eyes dilated, and that visit is where every front office person and the male tech treated me poorly. When I first made the appointment, the front office staff told me the dilation was a medical procedure and would need my medical insurance. But when I mentioned that after arriving for the appt, the receptionist (Mayreza) said they don't take medical, only eye, and that eye insurance won't cover dilation. I was confused but asked if they could run my eye insurance to make sure it was covered, because it wasn't urgent and I wouldn't do the procedure if I had to pay too much extra. Another front office person overheard and said it was usually $50. Mayreza acted annoyed with me but said she would run it to check. I sat down and waited for 15 min, no one said anything, and so I went back up to check on an answer. Mayreza was walking past me with a folder and said abruptly "go sit down, I'm giving this to the doctor". I stopped and asked if she found out whether my insurance covered it, and she didn't answer, becoming visibly more frustrated and only saying I wouldn't be paying anything. I was confused and apologized for the hassle. I sat and waited. I then got a text message that my appt had been changed to 12pm--it was first scheduled for 11:15am and I was using my lunch, and Mayreza did not tell me my appt time was changed. The male tech called me in and said "so we won't be doing the dilation today, this is just a pre test and the doctor will decide what to do, does that make sense?" I was distressed because if we weren't doing the dilation, I was wasting my lunch for nothing, so I said no. Instead of clarifying, he said abruptly "then I won't overwhelm you. Sit down and put your chin here." I let him do the pre test and then asked him to clarify what he meant and why we weren't doing the dilation. He was irritated and said he meant HE wasn't doing the dilation and to wait outside for the doctor to call me. Everything he said to me was in an angry tone with patronizing words and it was clear I had irked him by not doing exactly as he said when he said it, like I was in the way. I went back out to sit and waited a full hour for the doctor to call me in. At this point my lunch was over and I was going to have to use leave to finish the appt. The front office and tech never told the doctor it was a dilation appt, so I had to wait another 20 min after the doctor put the drops in to dilate my eyes. The doctor was kind and efficient. Unfortunately, it was another 30 minutes of waiting to pay after she was done. It was clear throughout every period of waiting that they were calling me after every other person in line, who walked in after me. I've had glasses my whole life. I have had dilation done at Costco that lasted 30 minutes total. The longest I've ever had to be at an eye appt before this was 50 min. I finally left America's Best in Takoma Park after 2 and a half hours. Their doctor was great and they're ten min from my house, but I'm never coming back.

This is ridiculous. I was texted twice to confirm my appointment & fill out paperwork after I…read morebooked my appointment & already filled the paperwork out online. I was then called three different times since then! I was called by someone letting me know that they didn't receive my paperwork, then when I let them know I filled it out right after I booked the appointment, they checked & saw it, then they asked me my birthday, which was in the paperwork... Anyway, I told them I looked up the doctors that they offer but when I went to book my appointment, it didn't say who would see me so would I just receive whoever is available. The person told me that there is only one doctor and they'll see me when I come. The next call I received was to ask what insurance I was using, which again, was in the paperwork I filled out... I asked them was there anything else needed from me because I keep getting calls about this one appointment. This would have been my first appointment but I'm not going to use them as a provider. I received a voicemail the morning of my appointment (today) letting me know that I would need to reschedule because the doctor won't be there today. Mind you, I made the appointment last week and have been receiving all of these texts and calls since then... Very unprofessional.

I'm giving one star solely because of the customer service received my first visit. Adina (I…read morebelieve is her name) was kind and very thorough. I came in late April for an exam, and it felt extremely rushed -- to the point I don't remember the Dr's name. Then, I ordered my frames and I was told I would get a text when they were ready. I literally received nothing! They, then, gave me a very small case for a pair of $250 Longchamp sunglasses and the sunglasses became bent in the case due to the shape and size of the case( before I even got to wear them). I went to get the sunglasses fixed, and the young man working was too busy trying to flirt with me that my glasses are still fairly crooked. Completely unprofessional!!!!! I am super unhappy with this experience, overall, and I will be sticking with Warby Parker in the future.

I would say that service was four stars, but tech issues would be three stars…read more I reached out to this practice about two hours before it opened through its online intake form. Basically, the intake form was to ensure that a patient's insurance was accepted. Fortunately for me, someone from the office called me within 10-15 minutes of the office opening, and I was able to secure a same day appointment for my eye situation. Upon arriving to the Silver Spring location, I saw that the office has a couple of kiosks that patients must use to check it. Ok, I get that on paper this probably seemed like a good idea. Also, nowadays, I think businesses want to show forward-thinking by incorporating technology into everything (whether it's needed or not). However, the problem (IMO) with using a kiosk at an eye care center is that many patients (like me) probably will not be able to see too well. Also, many elderly patients probably will not have the ability (and patience) to use these sorts of machines. In fact, while waiting for my turn, I noticed that the workers at the front desk had to help most of the patients with the kiosks. The doctor that helped me out was pretty nice and very compassionate regarding my situation. Fortunately for me, my eye issue was pretty straightforward and required very minimal medical intervention. Phew. While preparing to leave, the doctor sent my prescription to my local pharmacy and provided a paper copy of the 'script'. Unfortunately, when I arrived to my pharmacy about 45 minutes after my visit, the pharmacy had not received the script. No worries because I had the paper copy script as a backup. Even the doctor mentioned that they gave me the paper copy because they weren't sure if the prescription would go through electronically. Unfortunately, the doctor did not include their printed name or their license number, so the pharmacy could not fill the prescription. Because of this situation, the pharmacy and I had to call the eye care center several times to have the prescription sent to the pharmacy. I will say the folks from the eye center who helped me with this technical issue were very nice, but it was kind of annoying that a process that's supposed to take a few minutes ended up taking an hour. Perhaps, this tech situation is not common for the eye center and I was unlucky to experience it.

The reception staff were polite, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. The doctors were kind, professional, and took the time to ensure everything went well during my visit. Overall, it was a positive experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be returning and would recommend them to others looking for quality eye care.
