    Fish fry

I thought this place was a super fun sports bar! I love about 5 min away and would pass it so much without even knowing it was there, but our friends brought us last night for the Sabres game. Good game beer deals - 5 Blue or Blue Light bottles (in a bucket) for $13 during the Sabres games. We got the fried pickles (I liked that they were strips and not chips), the fish fry, the chicken souvlaki quesadillas, and the Reuben (I think a March special). Everything was really good, and do you SEE the size of that fish?! Great service, great bar food. Would love to come back and do some games with friends and family!

Nice shot of the game area

They…read morehave a menu filled with variety (but not overwhelming), plenty of different dining areas, and I especially love sitting outside in the summertime. The service was superb. Christina was one of the kindest, most genuine waitresses I've had in a long time. Their kids' menu prices have to be the same as they were at least five years ago, just $5, including a drink and a side. You really can't beat that! I was torn between their corned beef and chicken fingers, so I secured that I could get a finger from a shared meal and then ordered the Mother Superior. I substituted grilled sourdough since I'm not a fan of Kimmelweck seeds. This sandwich was loaded with tender corned beef and absolutely delicious with the melty Swiss, creamy Russian dressing, and lightly cooked red onions. We also ordered Combo #2 to share, which has several Buffalo favorites: chicken fingers, wings, beef on weck, and waffle fries. It was a LOT of food for a very reasonable price. My boys said the wings were amazing and perfectly crispy. There were plenty of waffle fries to share, and the chicken tenders were nice and crispy too. The kids loved their meals: mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. The fries were just okay, but when you have a vessels of blue cheese and a salt grinder on the table, you know they're going to be just fine. And then there's dessert... Very smart marketing to have a display of their homemade desserts right on the table! Our waitress mentioned that everything is made by their pastry chef, so of course we had to order a couple. We went with the pistachio cheesecake and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was so smooth and creamy, and the kids loved the cookie crust and puddle of chocolate sauce. One of them actually said it was too much peanut butter. I had no idea there was such a thing! The pistachio cheesecake had a cake bottom with a thick, rich layer of cheesecake on top. We really liked the addition of lemon, it added a nice freshness to balance everything out. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine in the bar area, which the kids made approximately 17 trips to.

We were the only ones in the room so it was great to be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. They have a large parking lot but it can be easy to miss since it's by one of the roundabout's. I had the Beef on Weck wrap. Asked our waitress about it since it's been a while since I was there. She said it was one of the newer items and is very popular. The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. Everyone enjoyed their food, too busy talking to take pics but some of their options were the beer cheddar soup, corned beef quesadilla, burger, chicken sandwich, roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes & gravy. Their rye bread is baked in-house and you can purchase it just like one of my friends did.

We were chatting with our little yelper and she had told the waitress she wanted chicken. Yes I know, chicken fingers in a Mexican restaurant.. our amazing waitress got those moving asap, and if you have a hangry kid. You know how important that is. We got the south of the border lunch and the steak fajitas. Those plates came out heaping with some of the best food we've had in some time. The chicken was perfect as was the steak. I literally couldn't have been more impressed with the meal. The only negative was the beans. Maybe it was us but we just felt they were too "soupy" but definitely not something that would negate how fantastic this was. Definitely not going to pass this gem again when we're in Hamburg.

Wish I caught her name Food: Deep Fried Taco was ordered with chicken. Overall the taco lacked seasoning. It was a very lackluster taco. Chicken just needed to be seasoned. It was cooked phenomenally. The chicken was hot and juicy which was great considering it was chicken breast so the chef does know how to cook... but the chicken did not have seasoning which was a big let down. Wing: Dry rub Cajun which again lacked seasoning. The wings were cooked to perfection. Beautifully crispy. But I ended up using the hot sauce on the table to add flavor to them. Seasoning. Burger: it was their version of a Big Mac. Amazing job. Seasoned patty on a beautiful brioche bun with the bar and grill name charred on top. Opted for tots on the side which were cooked to perfection along with the burger. It was the saving grace and the reason I'll be coming back to give this place another try. Place was cool. Looked clean and still new. Nice bar area and outdoor patio seating was offered as well.

Great pizza, good wings, fun atmosphere--you know the kind of place I'm talking about, and if you don't and you're near the Rusty Buffalo, go on in and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, I was traveling with my family through the Buffalo area and we figured since we're here, we really ought to have wings for dinner, right? After reading a ton of Yelp reviews, we settled on the Rusty Buffalo. I reached out on Facebook (they were closed at that time) to ask how much lead time they needed for an order of wings, and they got right back to me. 30 minutes, so plan ahead! I phoned in the order so that it would be ready for us to pick up as soon as we got into town--they were really nice on the phone and even called me back when we got disconnected. I ordered four chicken finger dinners and 40 wings--I was about to order extra fries, but the lady on the phone stopped me and told me the dinners each came with easily enough fries for two people. Not many places will undersell a customer like that, and I really appreciated it, since traveling long distance with leftovers can be a pain. I walked in to pick up the order, and it was like I was back home again. Great atmosphere, friendly people, good music, and the food smelled amazing. We got it back to our hotel, checked in, unloaded, and sat down to eat. Everything was still piping hot. I strongly recommend the Honey Sriracha--it's addictive. It was my first time trying Chiavetta's sauce, too, and it was also excellent. Their house Buffalo sauce was some of the best I've had anywhere. However, the Cajun dry rub was everyone's favorite, hands down. Their wings were all crispy and delicious, even the ones that had been sauced heavily. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again anytime I'm passing through.

The bartender made a great suggestion for a light appetizer. Customer service was good and friendly. The pricing was also reasonable: we had one beer, one mixed drink, and an appetizer, and our total was just $21.
