After moving from Chatsworth to Glendale, the drive to my old barber of 20 years became too much, so for a while I just shaved my head instead of trying to find someone new. Once I grew my hair back out, I started trying local barbershops, but none really stood out. Then I found Warhair in Burbank. I called first, and Rod was really helpful. He recommended Rudy, who he mentioned was newer to the shop but very experienced, with great availability throughout the week. I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. The shop itself has a great vibe -- very modern and clean, but still offers old-school barbershop touches like hot towel and straight razor services. What really impressed me, though, was Rudy's attention to detail. He actually looked at my head shape and explained that leaving the back a little longer would help balance out my flat head. No barber had ever pointed that out or given me that kind of thoughtful advice before. On another visit, I mentioned I was thinking about growing the top out and slicking it back. Rudy explained that going a different direction would make my hair look fuller, then took the time to style it so we could actually see what looked best.
