Now, where should I start. So much to say about the new and super improved apartment manager, ***TINA! ***. I lived in 3 previous apartment complexes before Warner Courtyard and she is by far, the BEST person you'd want and love to have. She not only has a great heart but has the requirements needed for the position. Before Tina, Warner courtyard was failing. FAILING BIG TIME. The previous manager, who I will not name, failed us ! He neglected our issues. His eyes and ears were shut. It was the worst year of my entire life! Depression hit me. It was time to leave. A miracle happened! An Angel! Tina to the rescue! Immediately we all felt and saw a positive change! She was our savior ! By then it was too late for me. We were ready to pack and go! My two kids simply adore her ! She's very charismatic. If the company would have made changes before, we could have spent more time with her in office. How we miss her and the season festivities she would hold. I have been in this apartment building for a little over 2 years but ever since Tina came to us this place turned into a community. I have gotten to know most of the tenants thanks to her in just a couple of months. She has gotten us together like family. But what I love the most about her is the love that she gives out to everyone especially to our kids. Both my kids as soon as we get home the 1 thing they do when they see her office door open is run tu her office just to say hi to her. I ask one of my kids what do you always do that and she says because Tina is my friend and are supposed to say hi whenever we see a friend. Before she got her I would not let my kids go out side to play now I feel more comfortable to let them go out and play. Tina you are the best manager I have ever known. We have been living in this building for over three decades . Around four months ago, the company hired a new manager for our property . If I wanted to rate this new manager, I would give her six stars out of five. She has done so many things to improve our building. Safety is number one on her list. She makes us feel safe. Christmas time she got all the neighbors together and she had this competition about who has the best decorated door . Now we do feel that we belong to a community and we do feel that our apartment is not just a place to live , it's HOME. Tenants started to know each other , which would make us feel safer. She brought tenants together . That shows that the new manager has the ability to foster community , and create a positive environment throughout the building . She has done tremendous work to improve the quality of living in the building. Every week our new manager is improving the property by hiring vendors to beautify and repair. I have never seen so many workers in our building like this past four months. It's always something to Repair and to improve the Building and its quality This morning she has hired a tech company to install cameras throughout the property. It is amazing about how much she cares about her job , and mostly how much she cares about tenants , and the safety of their families. we are lucky to have this phenomenal manager for Warner Courtyard apartment. She is very meticulous about her work. She is detailed oriented. She is very patient. What is unique about our Manager is that is that she listens to any issues or problems a tenant would have , and she assures the tenant that things are going to be better . I could say about our new manager that "her word is her bond ", meaning that she always stands behind her promise and she delivers , which shows that she has integrity and she could be trusted to do what she was hired for. I don't know who is luckier, us as tenants or the owner , and the management company to have this incredible person as our manager. I think it's a win-win situation. On behalf of myself and my family I would like to thank this amazing Manager for the incredible and amazing job that she has done so far , and I'm sure she's going to keep doing better and better. Also , I would like to thank ,and to congratulate the management company and the owner of the building for hiring this astonishing person as the new manager. TERRIBLE place to live in! My girlfriend and I moved into this place about six months ago and when we looked at the place at first the property manager named Peter was nice. We started having problems the next week. When we signed the lease, he promised me that I could park my truck in front of the dumpster since I have a big truck that doesn't fit in the garage. Peter said it was okay to park there as long as it wasn't on trash collecting days. Right after I signed the lease (a few days later), he contacted me and told me that I could not park there anymore. I asked if we could get out of the lease because of the parking (the neighborhood is mostly condos and apartments and street parking is limited). He said that I could not break the lease; we have been here since June and now I struggle everyday with finding parking after work. I came home late night and parked in front of the dumpster and Peter immediately told us not to park there again. Another incident was that my girlfriend requested the carbon monoxide battery to be changed (an important thing!!) and Peter said they would come and change it on multiple occasions. He didn't show up after 3 times of asking (over a period of time asking); I ended up calling the city of Canoga Park Safety and Health department on them to let them know what the situation is/ and how unsafe the property is managed. I've contacted corporate 3 times about Peter and the "promise" he gave us. They said he had no right to give us those words. I mentioned about the carbon monoxide battery and the delay of replacing the batteries. Peter had told my girlfriend he would have his maintenance show up at 9am to replace batteries. By 11am, my girlfriend didn't receive any phone calls as she had stepped out. When she came back at around 1, the batteries were replaced. We specifically said DO NOT ENTER RESIDENCE without one of us there. He had maintenance go ahead and entered without saying. (Against the law). In conclusion, AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!! read more

I'm updating my review from my initial 5 star for several reason. This is my 5th year in this complex and it's gone through new management. No longer are we greeted by Susan, who was attentive, alert, and consistently passionate about helping the people that live in her complex. Our new landlord disregard repairs for the washers, ignores repair forms, and is consistently not in the office when needed. I still stand by some of the positive of being close to a lot of attraction, but with the neighboring buildings priced competitively, it doesn't necessarily entice you to stay. Trying to add a roommate into my lease was one of the hardest things we had to do. Our manager led us through hoops just to get back to our original request, two weeks later. Anchor Pacifica should be a little more careful on who they screen to be the landlord that has to tend to a dozen requests. read more

This property looks good at first but then you notice all the real problems. From a severe roach problem that doesn't go away to management renting to junkies that robbed tenants, had the police come multiple times for break ins and assaults, eventually having to be evicted by the sheriffs department. And yet somehow management rented to them? Neighbors let their pets run free and deficate all over the building and don't clean up. Homeless in the trash daily and multiple break ins and thefts in the garage. Neighbors smoke in common areas and management is hardly ever there. Management maybe shows up once a week if that. Abandoned cars are left in front of the building and never removed and the house next door has squatters because it has been abandoned for years. The surrounding neighborhood is distressed with homeless camps and a needle exchange around the corner. It could be a nice neighborhood but it's Los Angeles California and they just don't care. I was there for two and a half years and all these events did occur while I was there and still occur now. Don't trust management and the parent company as they don't care and will look for any excuse to steal from your deposit. read more

I found an add online that they had a 2 bedroom for rent. Called the number, which led me to an automated answering service, but wouldn't let me leave a message. The site I found the add on had a booking service to view the apartment, so I made an appointment online. I showed up 15 minutes early, I like seeing what street parking is available, and rang the management office on the call box. Nothing. Tried a few more times and got no response. Tried calling from my phone. Nothing. So I left. If they don't even pick up for people interested in the complex, I can't imagine how crappy they must treat their tenants . read more

We've been here for almost 3 years and we loved every day of living here. First of all, it's a very safe and quiet place to live in. It is also very clean. Second, the manager, Susan, is friendly, approachable, and very considerate of your needs. Finally, the location is close many necessities. Also, when you drive out into the main street, it is convenient because there is a traffic light. We are so thankful that we found this place! We are very happy living here! I highly recommend Canoga Courtyards for those who are looking for a place to live in. read more

The manager is amazingly polite, pleasant and she keeps everything in order and stuff gets fixed in the building. I never had a problem while living there. Management can not correct simple errors regarding the rent. Even though you pay rent on time they simply can not remove a late payment fee. When you to try to contact corporate for them to help the manager fix this issue you will get no response at all. They have "contact us" info with emails but for each person listed their, you will not get a response for any issues. For repair request and maintenance for tenants you have to go to their website, anchorpacifica that takes you to yardi another website. When you try to choose what kind of request the only drop down option category is "welding fences". Then you type what needs to be fixed. This is not useful and pointless because nothing will happen. It is better to write down on paper what you need fixed and hand it to the manager on site. For the rent going up in this complex and with the management and corporate not taking initiative and trying to help the tenants, I highly recommend searching for another complex and doing more research. This is just my opinion, I know not all apartments are perfect. I hope someone that actually reads this finds this helpful. read more

warner courtyard & anchor pacifica, could you stop ignoring my immediate and numerous requests for the refund of the $200 holding fee? stop refering me to stephanie who stated she is not accounting and does not ever return calls, despite promising to do so. it has been over a week, honor your policy and return my $200. the manager at warner courtyard, janet, does not respond to my requests for information regarding the so called $200 refund check which was supposedly mailed, despite my request to pick it up from the office. if i do not receive my refund asap, i will seek counsel.your practices are not only illegal, but unethical. shame on you...and stop training your management to lie about the so called "glitch" in rentcafe.com that says it is charging you $200 for the holding fee, but not to worry because you will only be billed for $100. i also have the documented quote from your manager, presented to me when viewing the unit, which shows $100 as the holding fee...not 200...scammmers read more
