My car has been broken into and vandalized multiple times in the parking structure. Unknown substances have been found on my steering wheel and on the inside windows of my vehicle. My apartment was entered while I was not home on multiple occasions. The hardware component of my balcony lock was removed and stolen, leaving the lock non-functional. An internal electrical component disappeared from my Litter Robot's circuit board -- those do not just disintegrate. My furniture has been damaged. Clothing was cut up inside my unit. Additional clothing was stolen from the laundry room. Unknown substances have appeared on the walls inside my apartment after I left and returned. When I reported the laundry theft to management, their solution was to sit in a non-temperature-controlled room through the entire wash and dry cycle. It has been 97 degrees this week. I have an autoimmune disorder that makes prolonged heat exposure physically dangerous. That is not a response to a security failure. That is an insult. I have spoken with other residents who have experienced the same things: laundry stolen, cars broken into. This is a documented pattern, not isolated incidents. This building advertises courtesy patrol as a feature. I was later told in writing by management that courtesy patrol is not present for resident protection but to uphold internal policies. That is not what is advertised. A resident was shot and killed by another resident on this property. When I reported all of this in writing, management offered me two options: install my own Ring camera, or vacate. The Ring camera suggestion does not address the parking structure or laundry room, which is where the crimes against me occurred. A camera on my front door would simply point into my neighbor's unit and vice versa -- which is a privacy problem, not a solution. Management stated in writing that they do not feel responsible for foreseeable crime on their property. They advised me to call the police and move. E&S Ring Management holds a D-minus rating with the Better Business Bureau. There is a reason for that. If you move in, document everything from day one. You will need it.

Improvements have been made new carpet in the hallways. Sadly yoou get treated nicely the first year you are here. Then your rent goes up each year with the fact that with every lease renewal you pay a brand new security deposit each renewal. You are told when you first move in, " It's a one time fee." They fail to mention each time you renew. the leasing office is un responsive to request, they revert you to call security for everything. Noise complaints parking violations, etc. rent goes up every year, and any amenity you pay for ie: storage will double or triple the next year. It's not as expensive as the newer apartments on Nordhoff but really close. Oh and Fiona the business owner? She's actually the AI assistant they implemented about a year and a half ago. I'll begin by saying that Woodland Hills is not the easiest place to find an apartment. Are there a lot of options? Yes. Do many of these properties actually emphasize value? Not really. Back in 2020, a 1-bedroom just north of the 101 would cost around $1700 - $2.1k... But now, you're lucky to find a place for less than $2300 and there are issues with pests, safety, nosy neighbors and a small space. So then last June, it's time to find a new apartment. A Facebook ad turned me on to this property and I think to myself, "there is NO way that this 1-bedroom apartment (pushing 800 square feet) is for this price." I ended up giving Glade Apartments a visit on my lunch and the rest is history. Since June of 2024, everything has been smooth sailing. The tenants are diverse and not disruptive; people keep to themselves; people are willing to have your back if you need information; the apartment is spacious and the grounds are kept clean. The only hiccup I have ever had with my dwelling space is when management told me that the apartment might not be ready on time due to a pest issue. Now, full disclaimer, they tried to get me in ASAP since my lease was running out at my old spot. So, this was all a favor from them. Still, I was able to move in on the desired date and have had no problems with pests! The common mosquito might come in, but no little critters worth mentioning in the slightest This brings me to what I really want to shout out as the biggest reason you SHOULD move here: the property manager. His name is Ronny and he's young and ambitious. He's a great listener and aggressive in getting the job done right. My unit is literally right in front of the leasing office, so all eyes are on my unit. I've gone to him for several concerns in the past and he's accomplished the challenges head on and in the best turnaround time possible. If a good turnaround time is not possible, he's careful not to give empty promises and is truthful. 100% I can assure you that on top of the price, which is a GREAT value, I would not have chosen this complex to move to unless I was confident I would be supported by a capable property manager. I totally mean this. In an area that values money and profit, it's hard to find a person with a "mom and pop" / grassroots state of mind. In summary, here are pros and cons of the complex -- Pros: Privacy Price Location (tucked away, yet still on the corner of Topanga / Vanowen) On-site maintenance Property Management Cons: Building was built in the 60s, so no dishwasher Appliances are somewhat dated A/C Unit (vs. Central A/C... totally a 1st world problem thing) Parking Spaces are a bit narrow, but I drive a mid-sized SUV and fit perfectly fine.

She is kind, attentive and gets stuff done. We can email or go down to talk to her in her office and she listens to complaints and suggestions. She takes action with concerns and is always walking the property to ensure everything is clean and looking nice. Really great manager, we are so glad she has taken over and is getting the apartment cleaned up and listening to the tenants.

There are ants all over the apartment, and outside you can see rats walking around. The management is rude and completely unhelpful. Instead of solving residents' problems, the manager spends his time harassing the residents who come to pick up packages. I pay full rent, yet I live with broken AC and insects. This is unacceptable and not worth the price. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
