However, I need to update my ongoing concern about the parking garage as seen in previous reviews. For approximately 18 of the last 24 months, the garage door has not been functioning properly -- leaving the building unsecured for the majority of our tenancy. We got lucky for a while, but a couple of months ago it finally caught up with us: our vehicles were broken into. I notified the office, obtained the security footage, and filed a police report, making it explicitly clear that the garage door needed to be permanently fixed. Nothing was done. Last night, the situation escalated dramatically. Our vehicles were stolen from our assigned parking spaces and at least one of them was taken on a joyride. Someone is systematically and skillfully gaining access to vehicles without keys, and they are taking direct advantage of this building's chronically broken garage door to do it. This is no longer a minor maintenance inconvenience -- it is a serious and ongoing safety failure that management has had ample time and opportunity to address. Prospective residents should factor this into their decision.

Moving out is even worse. They charge for every single thing. We didn't wear shoes in the apartment but somehow the carpet still needs replaced even though there was no stains. Damage fee? And paint fee? They want you to fix everything before moving out. Otherwise they charge tooth and nail to do it themselves. Even though their storage rooms are full of paint? I've never lived in an apartment that charged to repaint. We even had a cleaner detail the whole apartment after we were completely moved out. And we're getting less than $200 back from our deposit?

To my delight, Vanessa (the Building manager) told me that the one bedroom was available and that I could see it the same day. As soon, I walked inside the building I knew that I had made the right choice. Vanessa is smart, kind and very accommodating. Customer service 5 stars!! During my application process she went out of her way to meet me on her day off and get all my documentation approved. I had a small issue with my documents but she was able to get me approved! I love how CLEAN the building is! Vanessa has OCD so believe me, I am so thankful for that. It's quiet, clean, affordable, in a great neighborhood. Unfortunately, the place does get filled up fast. Alright, I'm going to give one of the most honest reviews I've ever written…read more I've lived here for the past year, and overall, it has been the best apartment living experience I've had. The apartment has in-unit washer and dryer, central AC, good security, responsive maintenance, and all the amenities I was looking for. If you're searching for a quality apartment, I would absolutely recommend this place. In fact, I would have renewed my lease if I wasn't relocating for work. No apartment complex is perfect, so I'll mention a few areas that could be improved. None of these issues were deal-breakers for me, and they never significantly impacted my quality of life, but they are the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. First, the back elevator that's primarily used for moving can be extremely slow and occasionally unreliable. When I first moved in, the elevator was having issues and was moving so slowly that my movers ended up charging me for additional time. Throughout the year, it also seemed to go down for maintenance every few months. Second, the AC setup in my bedroom wasn't ideal. I have the bedroom with the attached bathroom, and the air vent was positioned in a way that directed airflow more toward the bathroom than the bedroom itself. Since the main AC unit is located on the opposite side of the apartment, it was difficult to feel strong airflow in my room during hotter months. Maintenance was responsive and provided a vent cover that redirected the airflow, which helped significantly. I also want to give credit where it's due: the maintenance team here is excellent. Anytime I submitted a request, they were quick, professional, and helpful. As for pests, which can be a concern in Los Angeles apartments, I never experienced any roach problems during my entire stay. i didn't have some ants in january however they were able to stop them from coming. My biggest concern was the parking garage. While the property is generally very secure and has security on-site, the garage gate was frequently left open for extended periods while repairs were being completed. I never personally heard of any vehicle break-ins, but having the garage wide open for days at a time was concerning. Package security was another area that could be improved. I had one package delivered to the wrong location and another stolen from the mailroom. That said, whenever I used the Parcel Pending lockers, I never had any issues, and I would highly recommend using that service. Overall, my experience here was excellent. The staff, especially Brenda and Isabella, were phenomenal throughout my entire lease and always went above and beyond when I needed assistance. I even referred a friend to move here, and they've had a great experience as well. The only reason I'm giving this property 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is because of the recurring garage gate issues, occasional elevator problems, and package theft concerns. Aside from those issues, living here was genuinely a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the area.

She THEN FINALLY wrote me back and told me that I need to give her $3,596 THAT DAY or my lease would be withdrawn! She said it was company policy that a week after an apartment is leased they need all the fees paid! But it had been over a week since she told me it didn't look like I qualified! I asked if I could give her $1200 and I could pay her the rest next week when I get paid and technically since I'm JUST finding out I'm approved and she JUST charged me the holding fee that day. My week had just begun TODAY. and she told me no, if she does that for me she's have to do it for everyone (like my case isn't different?!) I simply withdrew my application, who wants to live under a general manager like that. In all honestly I believe she did this all to me on purpose to try to get me to withdraw my application. She's spiteful and a terrible communicator, I have never been my life been treated that way by management.
