He ran the furnace through several heating cycles while he waited to ensure he had corrected the problem. A few days before we had a competitor's technician take a look, but he didn't find the problem and instead recommended about $2200 in so-called repair parts. Most of those parts had nothing to do with the the problem. And I had installed some of them as new parts only a month or so ago. Talk about a scam. The competitor also tried to talk us into a complete, new HVAC system!!! Go with Method. They are a small, local company dedicated to their customers.

Our AC struggled from the first summer, but this year it became much worse. Our home was regularly 78-82 degrees, even with the AC running constantly, and we eventually had to move our mattress downstairs in the living room just to try and sleep. Method installed the HVAC system. After being told the warranty had expired, I had another HVAC company take a look. Their technician identified what was an obvious installation/workmanship issue and evidence that the refrigerant had leaked out. He recommended I contact the original installer before paying for an expensive repair because the issue was so clearly a mistake on their end. He mentioned that his company always honors that kind of work even outside of warranty. I contacted Method, explained the situation, and was told management (Cody) would call me back. After multiple service request follow ups, and more than two weeks, that call never happened. I eventually received another call from the front desk reiterating that the warranty had expired. Never the communication from Cody I was told to expect. I understand warranties have limits, but I expected a company to at least investigate a potential workmanship issue and follow through on a promised callback. If this was my business, I would feel importance in at least investigating an issue if it may have been our poor skills causing the issue. Method may be great in other areas, but that is not the experience we had. We are now facing a significant repair bill on a two year old home, as a result of their poor workmanship and lack of accountability. If accountability, communication, and standing behind your work matter to you, I would encourage you to ask some questions before choosing them.

I just got finished a few weeks before…read morewith a routine tune up from another HVAC company who told me both of my AC units were working great. I still had doubts on my upstairs unit which was struggling to get to its desired temperature. Then the downstairs unit outdoor fan stopped working. I went with Eagar for the diagnosis and they came by same day and diagnosed a common capacitor replacement issue. Replaced capacitor and downstairs unit started working as expected. Great! The technician was also willing to do a quick basic check on my upstairs unit and turns out it was low on refrigerant. 2 lbs and some UV dye/sealant later my upstairs system now can match the set temperature for a change, and I didn't have to break anywhere close to 4 or 5 digit pricing. The pricing seems fair to me. They don't offer those $30 tuneup prices but they also don't beeline to pressuring your into a new HVAC unit either or suggesting services which seem dubious and with exorbitant pricing. Makes it hard to trust. Instead Eagar charges a reasonably regular price but also gives your unit a fair, honest assessment, which ultimately is what I want, with units that are 18 and 12 years old! Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away.

I did not have time to do my own research as my dad was in the hospital and I had to leave, so I trusted my neighbors recommend. It was installed 5/17/21 by Calaway Heating & Air, Kellen and another young man. Later on that year, around November, water was coming through the ceiling in my garage from the attic . My neighbor went up there, and said the drain pan was not aligned properly. He fixed it the best he could . In October 2022, when the another company repiped my house they found a big gap behind my new air conditioner unit in the attic. The repipe company took pictures for me since I was unable to crawl around the unit in the attic. Since the gap was in the back, I never knew how bad it was. After two summers I was wondering why my bills were not lower since I had a new air conditioner. The unit was not even attached to the plenum. I had to send Kellen pictures before he sent someone out to fix it. I asked Calaway to reimburse me $240.00 that I paid for the service plan I purchased since I did not use it, and they refused. They offered me service or air filters that I did not need. I just wanted to be reimbursed. The repiping company found more errors. They told me that the furnace to the top of the coil to top of plenum was not aligned properly and what my neighbor did was a temporary fix, and I could have more water problems. I was not able to afford any more work (As I'm disabled and on limited income) and pipes were bursting in the area including two houses next door to me. The temporary fix did not last long and I had to have the unit resealed and leveled December 2023. 9 hours and $1500.00 later my air conditioning unit is now secure and draining properly. Not only did I have to pay another company to fix their errors. I had to pay to have my ceiling fixed not once, but twice from water leaks. Calaway heating and Air cut corners, did not do their job properly and they do not care. I emailed the manager asking for a refund of the service plan, and I never got a response. I guess this is how single disabled women get treated. They don't even deserve one star.

And I run downstairs to find my basement flooded with water pouring in from my cement wall. I called ASAP left a message on their voicemail and got a call back within minutes. I explained my emergency and Kevin, the owner, personally came out that night to help me get things assessed and water turned off in places to prevent further damage and coordinated with his crew to be out in the next 48 hours to fix everything. I thought it would be thousands of dollars given the off hours and emergency nature of my issue but no the entire job was less than $1000. Shocked the hell out of me. These guys are truly honest. In my fire state they could have just charged me anything and I would have paid it. But they figured out the issue which wasn't as huge as I'd feared it would be and charged based on the time, part costs, and the job itself. I feel insanely lucky and am happy to shout from the rooftops that this company should be in everyone's address book and the first call if they have any plumbing issues.
