Brett did a great job with my SUV. I wanted to change out my super loud exhaust for something more conservative. That was the easy part. While inspecting the car (it had once before failed Smog check) Brett noticed it had a crack in the exhaust manifold. That would explain why it smells like exhaust fumes inside my car when I drive it. Brett took care of replacing the exhaust manifold that was OEM, checked the catalytic converter (not plugged from a previous non-firing cylinder that would send fuel into the converter), and changed out my muffler for a more conservative one. The exhaust fumes in the cabin are gone, the exhaust note is about 70% quieter, and the turn around time was less than 24 hours from bringing it in to finished. Total cost was around $550. Awesome group of guys! I was recommended by an Axlebenders member to get my catalytic converter installed here for my 96 Jeep Cherokee. Turns out I actually had a header leak and my catalytic converter was fine! They recommended me to have the leak repaired and sealed up. Also showed me that my rear differential was leaking and my fuel tank had a leak from the sender as well. I had them work on resealing my rear diff and will be back about the fuel tank leak. Installed a tow hitch on my husband's '12 Tundra for much, much less than the ripoff dealership wanted to sell us! Came in without an appointment on a Tuesday and was out within 2 hours. If I went back I would make an appointment this seems like a very busy place. They have a nice woman who works at the front desk that will answer your questions, unlike a lot of mechanics who have a fat guy in overalls that treats any woman like an idiot. read more

My husband had his car worked on here. He needed a new catalytic converter installed, and needed it to be California legal. They said they would install a California legal one. When he went to get his car smogged, it failed. Because the cat wasn't CA legal. Awesome. Luckily, Warner's swapped out the bad one with a good one and paid for the re-smog inspection, but that doesn't give him back the time and energy wasted running back and forth between Warner and the smog place. Also, when we went to pick up the car after it had been fixed, the driver-side window was down! Wouldn't have been a problem if they were open and had employees keeping an eye on things. The car finally passed smog, but putting in the wrong cat to begin with and then leaving our car exposed like that earned them the 2-star rating. read more

I'm always very hesitant about entering a repair shop without someone of the opposite persuasion. It's a well known fact that there are repair shops that prey on the ignorance of some women when it comes to cars. This was not my experience at Warner's Muffler. I had a great feeling about this place as soon as I walked in the door. They took care of me right away. I love that they really care about their customers and are very thankful for your service. Initially, I was quoted $350 over the phone for my repair, but upon arrival I was told they found a cheaper part, which lowered the price down to $275...SOLD! This place has definitely earned my business and I would recommend them in a heart beat. I overheard them stating that they are just trying to "keep their head above water." Not the shop it used to be years ago. Prices have near doubled for work now making them far from competitive and overall attitude was far from customer service oriented. Install of aftermarket exhaust on a 09 Subaru STI was crooked when looking at rear tips and the request to fix that was shrugged off as that is just how it has to be (not so as other shop used in Oceanside showed it could be perfectly even. I'll be going elsewhere and suggest you do the same as there are better options for muffler service in Oceanside from my point of view. One of the only upsides I see with Warner's is that they are open on Saturday. read more

I have yet to have exhaust work done by Warner's but they have been super helpful. The first thing I brought in was a catalytic converter with a broken stud. They removed the stud and even put a new one in without requesting. I think they only charged me $20 They helped me out again today. I broke a bracket on my drivers seat on my car. I took the seat out of the car and I took it in today to fix the weld during lunch. I was not sure how much they were going to charge me but if it was $20 I was going to offer $40 because they were so helpful before. The guy that helped me did it in about 5 minutes, he put the seat back in my car and I asked him how much. He said nothing and he refused to take the cash I was trying to give him. I recommend this shop to everyone that I talk to and when I actually need exhaust work I will make sure they get my business. read more
