I called first thing in the morning after my AC stopped working, and with temperatures over 100°, I was worried I'd be waiting days. To my surprise, they had a technician out by early afternoon. Franklin was outstanding. He was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a failed capacitor, had the replacement part with him, and got my AC back up and running in no time. I really appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and efficiency. Our air conditioner stopped working during the usual July heatwave. We called and left a message on a Sunday night after hours. Got a call Monday morning telling us they could be out possibly Tuesday but if not for sure Wednesday. To our surprise they made it out Tuesday. The office kept in contact with us to keep us updated. Ever thought about replacing your ducts? I didn't either until I had Warren's upgrade my HVAC system. The system had all the bells & whistles but it didn't seem to be functioning at it's best. Sure enough, all my ductwork was shot. Warren's replaced every duct and every vent. Wow! The difference is night & day. I highly recommend making this a must if you want the best from your system. Called to request install of whole house attic fan. Installed a whole house attic fan and replaced a regular attic fan. Frank originally took my order and Bryan did a great install job. I like that Warren is a full-service company .... so, it is one stop shopping for service and repairs. Michelle did a great job locating a few items I needed. I will be using Warren's in the future for yearly maintenance and anything else. I love the remote to turn on the attic fan and the timer. Well worth the price. Love turning on the fan early in the morning to cool off the house....course since it is getting to be autumn, can hardly wait to use it next year more. Loved how the house cooled down for most of the day when I did use it. Air conditioning only came on late in the afternoon for a short period instead of all day long. read more

Horrible. They came out on a Friday to fix my grandparents air conditioner. They guy looked at it briefly and told us we needed a new AC which would cost $5,000. He said this without looking at the actual unit. My uncle found out and took a look. All that needed to be done was clean some of the dirt out of the unit. Basically, the guy tried to take advantage of an elderly couple. I called to complain to a manager and the clerical staff said the manager was out and would call me on Monday. I never heard back. Our heater would not start on the first really cold day of 2019. We called Warren's and Frank came out in the following morning. He diagnosed the problem and had the office call me back with a quote for parts and labor. When the parts arrived from the factory Michele called us and told us they'd be out the next day. Frankie came out and installed the new motor and switches in about an hour and a half, tested the furnace and A/C to be sure the control board was working. All was good. Frankie did a great job! What a terrible day to loose our AC! It was forecasted to be 105 that day, Wednesday, in Manteca when I called Warrens in the am. Chris arrived at our house that day for a consultation and Mark followed up the following day, Thursday, with an estimate. Chris and Mark are very professional, courteous and presented us with 3 options. We chose our option-very competitive pricing, and the repairs were completely done the third day, Friday, by 12pm. Very fast service, professional and experienced technicians (Cameron was polite and explained what he repaired) , overall a great experience. Dont do it, $250 for a 7 min repair. Go get your $25 capacitor (90% of issues) from Standard Appliances in Stockton. Do it yourself with a flathead screwdriver and 7 minutes. I get you need to make money, especially whens its hot and an emergency, but I can have my car towed from Modesto to Bay Area cheaper than your 7 minutes. read more

We were having issues with our air conditioning unit and had Warren's come out. The a/c was occasionally cutting out and not restarting until hours later. A tech came out when it happened to be working and no problems were found. The owner, Frank, came out the next day and also couldn't diagnose the problem. He said everything checked out ok. He said we could leave the ticket open and if the problem came up again to call again and he'd get out here as soon as he could to check on things. We opted to close the ticket (paid their service charge) thinking there might be no new issues and our home warranty needed something saying it was functioning fine to cover it. But that same night it happened again! We called the first business day we could, which was about two or three business days later (my wife and I were in the hospital giving birth to our son in the interim). We called the day we came home from the hospital and given the runaround (no time to come) for three days. I finally explained our situation and that we had a newborn in a house with no a/c. Our house was getting up to 85 or 90 during the afternoon. The receptionist apparently called Frank while she put me on hold and explained the situation. No dice! I'll pencil you in for about 2 or 3 weeks down the road. No one else at the company could help us except for Frank and he didn't have time for us according the receptionist. Not sure what we did to piss Frank and/or the company off, but totally felt that they abandoned us when we really needed them! We have a little baby in the house and they wouldn't have anyone at all come out and help us! Craziest and most unprofessional service ever!!! We called another local company up and they said they'd have a tech out in about 3 or 4 hours. I'd never recommend Warren's! Call them at your own risk! read more

My mom was having some mild issues with her AC unit that's the original unit from when the house was bought in the 80s. She called Warrens and that same day Frankie and Damien came out to see what the issue was, they said it was most likely fixable but they gave her a brochure to look at until they could come back out to try and fix it. She never felt pressured to buying a new unit and spending thousands of dollars. They came back two days later and fixed what was wrong, I believe a pipe was clogged, and now it's working like normal without my mom having to spend thousands on a new AC unit. We had a new heating and air conditioning system installed by Warren's Heating & Air Conditioning in February of 2018. We have been very pleased with what they did, and can strongly recommend them. Some of our reasons are listed below. 1) Of the four contractors we contacted, Warren's was the only one that mentioned a PG&E rebate that we were eligible to receive. 2) They were the only ones to say we really should have our 40+ year old duct work replaced. The others either did not mention it, or thought it not worth the trouble. When the independent tester did the mandatory pre-job duct test, he found that we were leaking "almost half" of our air. After the job was done, the post-job test showed that the leakage was less than 5%. 3) The workers were professional, polite, qualified, neat, and ready to explain what was being done. 4) The quality of the work was excellent. The Stockton inspector found no problems. We were one of those randomly selected for an inspection by a PG&E representative. She was also impressed with the workmanship. Her duct testing confirmed the previous post-job leakage. 5) The heating in our home is now a lot more uniform. We have not had a chance to test the air conditioning yet. read more

My mom was having issues with her heater. Service tech said it was the control board and he just happened to have one and could install it for 750$$ luckily my mom is not an idiot and called me. I found the part for 86$ and it took all of 20 minutes to install. Is that 700$ in labor cause if it is, I'm in the wrong business! The only positive thing is the tech properly diagnosed the problem. These guys are outstanding! We came home from vacation to find our air conditioner not working. Outside temp was 106 and inside temp was 90 degrees. Our a/c only blew hot air. I called as soon as they opened at 7:30a the next day. I did not expect same day service but they had a truck in our area and fit us in. The tech showed up, asked to see the thermostat. Saw the lights dim when he turned on the unit. Went outside, replaced the condenser and minutes and our air was back on! These guys have the best service! A super great experience. The air conditioning gave out during a hot spell up here in Manteca. I work three jobs and have limited time to accommodate an inflexible service schedule. These folks met my needs and did so within one day. Michelle, the customer service rep, gave me a four hour block as to when I would get a tech and he showed up within the first hour of that window. The tech, Steve, was very professional and courteous. He diagnosed the problem within a short time, fixed it, and did all the other things (like cleaning the filters and checking the Freon) that distinguish great service from "just getting the job done." No wasted time and great communication. Going forward, these are my AC and heating people. Great job! read more

While I was overseas on business my air conditioning broke and my wife called around for a place to come out. Warren's was the only place that could come out right away (that was a plus). They told her the blower and blower motor needed to be replaced (for almost $1,000) but suggested that the whole unit should be replaced because it wouldn't be too long before we had to do it. When I got back, Warren's came back again to give me a run down and discuss options. Repair was never discussed and after the salesperson left I was told I would have a quote the next day. Two days later, I received a quote for a new system between $8,000 and $13,000!!! Long story short, my boss gave me a phone number for a contractor he uses who came out to my house in Tracy all the way from Castro Valley and fixed the unit (blower only) for $230. He said there was nothing else wrong, no reason to replace anything else and that in his opinion this was "typical" Yellow Pages service trying to scare my wife into a service option that wasn't needed. Kudos to my contractor for being so up front and honest but I also am feeling that Warren's should take some ethics lessons. read more

Warren's replaced our York 5 ton 12 SEER one stage with a Bryant 16 SEER two stage unit. They did a great job and we saved $595.00 on our PG & E over our 3 year average this summer. The unit is much quieter than the York. Frankie and Sergio did a Greta job. read more

I knew someday soon I would need to replace 25 year old furnace and A/C. When furnace went out and was going to be several hundred $ to fix, I decided to go ahead and replace both. i never felt that "used car salesman" pressure from Frank as he explained all of my options and the cost of each. Took them 4 days to install, but with all they had to do, I don't think that was too long. Installers were very professional and courteous, and didn't seem to mind me watching them work occasionally. I called Warrens to out to give me an estimate on a problem with my A/C. I had run to the store, and wasn't home when the man arrived, because he came a little early. No problem. My husband took him to the unit but then went into the house. Big mistake! When I came home I went to the back yard and they guy said he was already done "repairing" the unit! I went into the house and asked my husband what was going on with it. He said the guy said it was the capacitor or something (I don't remember) and that he was going to give a quote. I told him that the guy had already repaired it and what did he say was it going to cost. My husband said he didn't know, he wasn't given a quote yet. The unit now works fine, and the cost was good. But I don't like this method of getting business done. I think it is sneaky and unprofessional. Because of the way this was handled, I can't recommend this business, nor will I ever call them again. Added 10.26.15: I read the retort from this gal from their office. She can say whatever she wants, but it is still lying. Only 3 people were at my house that day, and she wasn't in the technicians pocket. Since the service date, I have spoken with others about the service I received, and it seems that it is pretty common for this company. But very few of them had heard of yelp, so they never posted their unhappiness with the service. Something you might want to consider. If you want to do business with a company that will backup lies told to them by their staff (I presume) rather than someone who has no interest other than to rate a service, so be it.
