The design and contract review was done online in a timely fashion and it was a swift transition to installation taking place in just one day, as the the lead installer (Antonio) was joined with two co-workers who explained how the project would move forward and answered all my questions. Semper was very professional and gave us a reasonable price and guidance for tax credits at that time. The system with The Tesla Battery is excellent.I can control with an app. Now, we've been in the house over twenty years and it's time for another roof. Ken from Semper Solaris came over and we considered all the options and we received some credits for our loyalty. So the roof is almost complete and the team has been great.Excellent communication.We worked out some issues with the satellite TV and internet antenna with Tim and proceeded smoothly. The entire team has been very professional and clean up afterwards everyday they've worked. Love the new roof and gutters!

People with solar systems…read morethat are years old and complaining about Tru Up bills.. the prices from PGE have gone up dramatically over past few years and you need to still use energy conservation once panels are installed. Lastly, financing anything comes with additional costs. A great way to avoid the finance charges is pay cash or get your own loan under terms that fit your financial needs. It is my understanding that 1st Light Energy does NOT finance solar systems but outsources that for customers who need/want to go that route. After considering these three facts let's move on to my review. Garrett was my point of contact person and he was upfront about the costs versus my savings. He called a month prior to my appointment for installation because he had a cancellation and I was able to get them installed the same day! Any questions I have had he is a email away and has been friendly, honest, and helpful. Fast forward three years I have now installed panels again on my second home. Same great company and customer service. Same situation where the company had a cancellation and I was able to get my panels installed sooner than expected. A year from my second installed panels has past. I never had done a review and realized it was time to do so! Fun fact, this is a small local business that the owner and his brother (co-owner? Idk ) both work at. I highly recommend this company!

When I called, I was treated very nicely on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. Diagostic appointments are $89 during the week and $149 on Saturday. Our technician, Wes, was very professional, on time and easy to talk to. He came out and checked the unit (we needed a different fuse) and turned the unit on and got it running. I was very happy with the service from the ladies in the office to Wes our technician. Just a heads up, they have a monthly maintenance plan ($12.95 a month) that they will try and sell you. It includes an annual check of your A/C unit and of your heater. Any additional work or service calls are then 20% off. Just an FYI, if it is a good deal for you, then I would suggest getting it, if not, they will still service you. Thank you Honey's for making our experience a Sweet One!

Just wow, what a nice guy and thorough as well cleaned our unit like his own. He also showed us some before and after pics. He also made a suggestion when he found out I had bad allergies and saw the 3 air purifiers throughout the house. lol. He recommended us to get the unit that plugs into out HVAC unit. We were interested in solar for our 1940s home and provided a deposit in good faith. However, after further inspection of our roof and the overall project viability, we decided not to move forward. When we requested our deposit back--before any equipment was ordered or installation began--the company initially refused, claiming it was 'passed' the point of a refund. It was a high-pressure situation where we felt they were trying to lock us into a contract we weren't comfortable with. While we did eventually receive our deposit back after pushing the issue, the initial refusal to return funds for work not performed was a major red flag. Homeowners should be very careful with the fine print here. If you are looking for a company that values transparency and customer comfort over just 'closing the deal,' I would suggest looking elsewhere. We're glad we didn't get stuck with them and are instead putting that money into improvements that actually fit our home.
