My excitement made my sister make a quick turn. We walk in to see a small display case adorned with various pastries. I'm a sucker for a good flaky pastry, so of course I tried the chocolate croissant. I also LOVE chocolate chip cookies! Both were delicious. The cookie was the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, there was a hint of salt, it was nicely browned. The croissant was perfectly laminated layer after layer, and the pistachio mixture that was in the center; it reminded me of a Fifth Avenue bar. Only negative thing...there was too much filling, I'm not a big filling gal. I would be doing a disservice if I didn't mention the wonderful service we received. "Mr. Croissant" was personable and honestly probably the best interaction I've had with a baker (and I've been to a lot of bakeries). If you are in the area please checkout this cozy little bakery.
