Literally no "policy" on switching screens

I've been coming to this drive-in for almost 8 years. I've recommended it to people, looked forward to every season opening, and until last night I'd never had a single issue. Last night completely changed my opinion. After the first movie, I started driving over to watch the second movie on another screen. I've done this for years. I have searched your website, looked through your posted information, and I cannot find any policy that says customers are prohibited from moving to another screen after the first feature. Instead of simply explaining the policy respectfully, one of your young employees ran up to my car and immediately became confrontational. He repeatedly questioned me, told me I couldn't move, and when I explained I'd been doing it for years, his response was essentially, "I don't believe you." Excuse me? I'm a paying customer who's supported this business for years, and that's how I'm spoken to? I told him I'd just leave, but when I pulled toward the exit he followed me, came back to my vehicle again, raised his voice, and created a scene while my children were sitting in the car. Then his coworkers started cheering him on instead of helping de-escalate the situation. That was completely unnecessary and incredibly unprofessional. I wasn't upset because I couldn't watch another movie. If that's truly your policy, fine. Post it clearly. Explain it respectfully. End of story. What upset me was being treated like I was trying to scam the place after nearly eight years of supporting your business. It honestly left me feeling singled out, and as a person of color, the interaction made me uncomfortable enough that I couldn't help but question whether I was being treated differently. Afterward, I tried to speak with someone in charge. I asked for a manager or owner. I wasn't given a phone number or email-just told to message Facebook or Instagram or come back another day. That's not an acceptable way to handle a customer complaint. It's incredibly disappointing because I've always loved this drive-in. One employee with a power trip, backed by coworkers who thought it was funny, completely ruined an experience my family has enjoyed for years. If management actually reads these reviews, my recommendation is simple: train your staff on how to speak to people with respect. Policies can be enforced without humiliating customers.

Super cool experience! I've always wanted to go to a drive-in, and it's amazing a throwback place like this exists anymore. There are three screens playing different movies. Buying tickets and parking are very easy, though I recommend arriving earlier to get a good spot. The tickets are a bit cheaper than going to a regular movie theater. You can either tune in to the indicated radio frequency and listen through your car speakers, or rent a radio for $5. (Though if the cars around you have their speakers on loud, you can hear well enough without it.) We opted to set up a picnic blanket on the grass, while others settled in the back or flatbed of their car/truck. Bring some blankets (it can get chilly at night, even in the summer), pillows, chairs, and get cozy! I did not encounter mosquitos - only fireflies! There is a concession stand selling popcorn and typical fairground foods. My only complaint is that the porta-potties were rather disgusting. But other than that, this was an awesome and enjoyable experience, and we'll be coming back!

Super nostalgic to be able to come to a drive in and see a double feature! Between the actual film, the walk up concession stand with great snacks, and the old school radio we rented for $5 we certainly felt like we were living is the past for a few hours. Such a wonderful place to come relax on a nice summer night with fresh air all around and crickets chirping in the background. My only complaint is the burger had a funny taste but other than that this place rocks!

If you want to step back in time and enjoy a movie under the stars and eat pop corn in your car while watching a movie with your love. This place will do it for you. You are in your car in private you can hear the movie through your radio or you can rent a speaker for out side and sit on the lawn and watch the movie. You can bring your dog . Must be on a leash when walking outside. The old style drive in movie candy stand with buttery pop corn and great hot dogs and burgers This place takes you back in time when life was just simple and great. Make sure to bring your mom or dad or specially grand pa or grand ma for a treat they would love this place.

Ask the Community - Warwick Drive In

Visiting the drive in this evening for a double feature. What time does the first movie typically start?

8:45 go to the website as the hours change according to the sunset

If we initially purchased 2 advanced tickets for a vehicle, is there a way to purchase additional tickets for the same vehicle?

    Probably at gate

Hi, would someone give me an idea of snack bar prices? Thanks

    Cheap.

Can you come only for the 2nd movie of a double feature?

    Yes

Can you grill food before the movies start?

    No

    Can we bring beer?

No alcohol "allowed". Just keep it hidden and you should be ok.

If the showing is a double feature can we leave after the first movie?

I wouldn't even bother with the first movie there. That drive in sucks. Go somewhere else don't waste your money

    Are coolers allowed inside?

    Yes, but no alcohol.

Does the theater rent out portable radios? What time would you recommend we arrive for a Saturday screening?

Yes, for $5.00 you can rent a portable radio. We recommend you come at 7pm when out ticket office opens. It gets crowded on a Saturday night.

Are pets allowed? (In car the whole time with us)

Warwick Drive-In here: Yes, of course. Pets are always allowed!

Can the "TuneIn Radio" app be used to listen to the radio here?

Not familiar with that app but if it can tune into our FM stations then it might work. Try it. Our broadcasts are: Drive-In #1 = 87.9FM / Drive-In #2 = 89.9FM / Drive-In #3 = 90.9FM Good luck!

Does the theater close for the season, when does the season begin and end?

We're open from the middle of March through the end of October

What radio station number do you use to hear the audio?

    We have a separate radio station for each screen: Drive-In #1 = 87.9FM Drive-In #2 = 89.9FM… Read more

    Is smoking allowed?

There is no policy against smoking but it is recommended you be aware of your smoke and not have it heading towards children.

Can i bring outside food in, or are we limited to the snack bar?

Theaters make little money on the admission cost because a large percentage has to be returned to the film distributors. The drive-in's main source of income is its concession sales. This is also true of indoor cinemas.… Read more

Has the concession stand started accepting credit/debit cards yet ??? Or is it still cash only?

Just used 10/20/17, yes they accept credit/debit.

Do you guys happen to sell portable radios?

    No, I'm sorry, we don't.

Wont your car battery die if you have the trunk open and your car radio on with your car off?

That's what I thought initially. But, apparently, keeping your car on accessory mode and radio on for the duration of the movies, only takes as much power as powering your car on. You're all good, we had no issues.

What time do you recommend getting there on a Saturday?

Saturday is probably our busiest night. Our ticket office opens at 7pm and you can choose your spot at that time. If you're only coming for one of the later shows (after 10pm) you can arrive just prior to showtime. Enjoy the show!

Do they tell you what movie is on each screen so you can choose what movie you want to see?

Yes, the ticket office will ask which movie you want and direct you to the correct field. For more information, go to warwickdrivein.com

I signed up right away to the drive-in site for future events notification. We are familiar in the area so getting to the drive-in is not a hassle at all. There are friendly staff members who guided the movie goers for effective parking and pleasurable viewing. The movie theater location is in the New York Hall of Science parking lot and the screen is fronting a good view of Terrace on the Park. To have one right in our borough, in our very crowded city, is such a treat. And it was all free. The second time we went we even got free treats left on our windshield. The staff was amazing. They led us through the maze of metal barricades and cones to the viewing area, made sure we were parked appropriately on the lawn, good enough to view the screen perfectly straight on, and helped us to turn all of our lights off. When we weren't able to tune them all off while still listening to the movie audio on our radio, they came around and lent us a portable radio. That way we could turn the car completely off and listen to the movie audio from their borrowed radio. There was also a food stand, but we had dinner beforehand and brought our own snacks, so we didn't order from them. All in all, a pretty awesome experience for the whole family. Thanks to all the staff and organizations that made it possible!
