Located in an unoccupied storefront there is plenty of space and it was almost full of vendors. The market was well attended during our visit around 11:30 with lines cueing up at some of the vendor tables. I did not see any produce vendors, and I suppose there is not much fresh veg growing in RI in February. Many of the vendors have socials accounts, websites and business cards. Definitely stop by and see if there is anything of interest. We found several vendors that would make good resources for gift giving in the future. The mall is doing well with most storefronts occupied. Rocky Point chowder house is to be opened in the food court. I look forward to that. Plenty of parking. Public restrooms near the food court and a nursing lounge near the middle of the mall.

I have seen this place mobbed with shoppers and I have seen this place struggle at certain times but in all it has been a big draw for shoppers with plenty of parking! The massive food court has always interested me to sit and grab food while I take a rest to shop again! What really peaked my interest in the Mall was in 2024 while home I watched a documentary called SECRET MALL APARTMENT on Cable which was a true to life story of 8 Rhode Island Artists who actually built a 750 square foot Apartment hidden in the hidden spaces of the Mall! In 2003 and supposedly lived undetected and unnoticed by anyone for about 4 years! It was fascinating to see in the movie the amount of furniture and items they got past security or anyone ! To think I was there shopping and had no idea this was happening under my nose while in the mall! So, since the discovery of said Apartment This Mall has been something of a surprise and I will continue to enjoy my shopping experience here always! After we had lunch, we ended up purchasing the following from the market side: FInger Kimbap, $6.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Shrimp Tempura Kimbap, $8.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Razor Clams, $22.34 prior to tax- Rarely have we seen razor clams sold in a market (the only other one we have seen them was at a T&T Supermarket in Washington). So we decided to purchase them, even though the price did seem more expensive. We ended up purchasing a little over a pound (it was $14.99 per pound). My husband cooked them back at our Airbnb and they were delicious. Live Lobster, $13.10 prior to tax- Price for live lobster is significantly cheaper than back home in Los Angeles so we knew we had to get one (the last time we were in Boston, we dined out for Lobster over a handful of times and also did purchase them from seafood markets). Lobster was only $7.99 per pound, we got close to 2 pounds. My husband also cooked this back at our Airbnb and the meat was nice and sweet. Pink Apple, $2.51 prior to tax- Ended up only purchasing 2 apples because the quality of fruit seemed to be rather sub par. ----------------------------- (Total= $55 after tax) When we were in the seafood department, we were able to get an employee's attention to help us. But we did see this one young guy just standing there waiting to see if any one would help him. I think at these places, you have to get the attention of the employees if you want to be helped since there was no number or ticket to get for someone to call you when its your turn. Also I was greatly disappointed with the quality of produce on this visit. A lot of the fruit was rather poor quality, looking like some of the fruit was too ripe. And some of the vegetables looked old. Overall, I think our shopping experience was good, just wished the produce was better. But the prices seemed to be pretty good in general and similar to what I have seen back home at our local H Mart. If I was local to this area, I would most likely be a regular here.

There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. Most of the high end stores remain like Holster , Abecrombie and Victoria Secret along with a fragrence and a sunglasses store. Other stores include FYI, The Children's Place and Newbury Comics. An escape room is also in residence, a nail kiosk by apppintment and eyebrow threading. Games are scattered along the mall concourse such as VR and Claw machines. It's really sad to see this once thriving mall so quiet. As we walked the floors I wondered if this could be turned into a multi-use building to include retail and food on the lower level, or on one side, and residential on the upper levels or opposite side. Plenty of parking, not too far from commuter rail, and super convenient for residents to have shopping and restaurants just out their door. Might even grow the retail options - Something similar to The Arcade in PVD. In a world in need of more housing it feels like a win for developers, the city, the stores and the residents imho.

I trekked to the food court area where I used the bathroom there. This was neither sanitary or parliamentary! 1.) the toilets do not flush unless you hold down the handle for an extended period of time. HOORAY! 2.) there are three hand washing sinks yet only ONE of them was working, and only cold water was coming out. 3.) the hand dryers do not work! No paper towels either. So you walk out the bathroom with wet hands that didn't get properly cleaned due to the improper water temperature. It's probably a good thing many food spots left this place...
