Plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant and ample seating when I walked through the door. It was getting later in the day, so there was only a couple of other customers in there at the time. We missed the rush because we went about two hours before closing, so that made it easy to get seated and serve served right away. The food was pretty average and nothing to write home about. It wasn't bad and it wasn't awesome. When I go there again? Sure, if I was in the area and I was hungry, I would definitely stop in. But it's certainly not in my top 10 restaurants For breakfast, especially since there are so many other great places within the same 10 minute drive it took me to get there. It was clean, the service was friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and. I left pretty satisfied.

Back to one of my favorite local restaurants! Great quick service, reasonable prices, huge menu and very attentive waitresses. Small restaurant with limited seating but there is a sit down counter... today's lunch, Pastrami and cheese with fries , hers on rye, mine on torpedo. Very consistent restaurant

This place has the greatest omelets I've ever had. I recently went after wanting an omelet and considering going to Denny's of which I didn't. Ordered one omelet with 8 eggs, steak, cheese peppers, and bacon. I also ordered 2 sides of bacon, and it came to $35 minutes the tip, which costs $5 less than if i got two 3 egg omelets from Dennys. I fully customized it and this thing was delicious. It's my third omelet from here, and I refuse to specifically seek an omelet unless it's here, with Jigger's coming in second. I love breakfast food and especially omelets, and this place isn't to be trifled with. I'll drive twenty minutes away for an omelet from this establishment.

Great looking local place that is very welcoming with a cozy hometown atmosphere. I was greeted with a friendly smile by both staff and customers. The decor was both nostalgic and vintage which made me smile inside and out. The menu selections are wide and vast that should be able to satisfy most anyone's taste, desire or cravings. Tina is the owner and takes the time to meet and greet the customers. Elaine is an important element to the successful operation and management of this wonderful place. I got the fried fish and white chowder along with the baked fish and red chowder for my mother. We loved all of it!!! Needless to say, I will be a returning customer when I go back to Rhode Island. Great work Tina, Elaine and the rest of the staff; as Arnold S. says, "I'll be back".

    Breakfast for champions!

This place definitely gets 5 stars- not because it's the nicest restaurant or even the cleanest - however the food is plentiful and the waitress is really sufficient. The portions make sure you leave full. I def will be back!!

Cozy, quaint, clean diner located in a little convenient plaza with a gas station. There were many affordable specials that all included coffee in the deal. There was also stuffed French toast. Don't expect anything too fancy outside of the brunch staples. We had the J&T Special and a Ham&Cheese Omelette. The Omelette was large and was stuffed with thick hand carved ham (NOT the thin processed meat kind). The home-fries were crispy and hot. And they have raisin toast! The J&T Special comes with an order of 2 pancakes. We decided to make them blueberry. The pancakes were large, slathered with butter and filled with plenty of blueberries. They were buttery and delicious, and the batter was fresh because they were fluffy. The server was attentive and I like that it's an open kitchen concept so you can see the cook make your food. The menus were new and clean which makes you feel like things are up-kept. I'll be back for more!

We vacation once a year in Rhode Island and eat here ever chance we get. Everything I have gotten has been delicious, especially the hot wieners. Great diner, definitely one of our favorites. Thanks J&T's for the consistently great food

Far too expensive for subpar breakfast. And News Nation on tv... friendly, just not good. Easy parking, though.

I remembered the building from when it was Cal's and had no idea Carmine's had moved into the space. I'm glad we finally decided to stop in because this place was an absolute home run. The dining room is on the smaller side and pretty simple, but that's part of its charm. It's comfortable, welcoming, and puts the focus exactly where it belongs, on the food. We arrived around 5:00 p.m. and there was only one other table occupied, but by the time we finished dinner the restaurant had filled up. After eating there, it's easy to understand why. My wife and I are admittedly pizza snobs. At our home in Phoenix we even have an outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, so we're probably a little more critical than the average customer. Naturally, when we saw pizza on the menu we had to order one. We went with the Carmine Pizza, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The crust had great texture, the toppings were balanced, and everything worked together without trying too hard. I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best pizzas I've had in North Providence. I also ordered the Italian Wedding Soup, something I hadn't had in years, and it instantly reminded me why I used to love it. It was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what I was hoping for. For my entrée I ordered the veal parmigiana. I always think it's a good benchmark for an Italian-American restaurant because it sounds simple, but you'd be surprised how many places manage to overcook the veal or drown everything in mediocre sauce. Carmine's got it exactly right. The veal was tender, the breading stayed crisp under the sauce, and the gravy had that rich, homemade flavor that reminded me of family dinners growing up. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, just the way it should be. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. The portions here are generous, and considering the quality of the food, I thought the prices were extremely reasonable. One of the nicest surprises of the evening was finding out our server was also the owner. He spent some time telling us about the restaurant, why he moved into this location, and checked on us throughout the meal without ever hovering. You could tell he genuinely cared that everyone was enjoying themselves, and that kind of hospitality is becoming harder to find. If you're visiting for the first time, just know there's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to park on the street. It wasn't an issue at all, and certainly not something that would keep us from coming back. In fact, there's no question we'll be back. It's not a matter of if, but when. They're close enough to our home in Lincoln that I can already see takeout becoming a regular thing after a long week when neither of us feels like cooking. This was one of those meals that exceeded every expectation. Great food, generous portions, fair prices, and an owner who clearly takes pride in what he's serving. Carmine's has earned every bit of this five-star review.

Service was friendly & helpful, and the menu offers many delicious sounding options. Food is fast casual style (order at the counter, get a card - here all were west side street signs, not the usual numbered placards, food will be delivered to your table. I had the avocado shakshuka, my husband had the lox omelet (see the photo). Despite the large menu of fancy coffee options, we each had a basic iced. It was served in a glass, which was a nice touch. Self serve milk was at a station in the dining room area. Coffee was good, cold but I would have traded some coffee for a bit more ice to stay that way as I drank it slowly. Both of us were surprised when our meals were delivered: the plates were beaut! In particular his omelet was absolutely gorgeous! Now for the flavors: the omelet had a generous helping of perfect cooked eggs (not sitting in a pile of grease, as restaurant omelets frequently are). It was so fluffy that we both thought "that's way more than the advertised 3 eggs," and the lox was thickly layered whole slices nestled inside the fold. Most places chop the lox like vegetables, add it to the eggs, & make it like a veggie omelet - meh. This iteration was perfect; the lox tasted like smoked salty fish, losing none of that flavor to the omelet itself. The potatoes? Fabulous! Great spice mix, cooked until they were crispy. That was a tasty bit of marble rye toast too. My shakshuka was very good, but a bit less successful. The elements were all excellent; the avocado was actually guacamole since it was mashed & there were tomatoes and spices in the dish. The combination worked, except for the bread element. The dish as presented was really more of an avocado toast with shakshuka on top. It might have been more successful to add the avocado/guacamole as a unique base on the plate, with the tomato sauce and eggs on top with toast on the side (as is the way shakshuka is traditionally served) because halfway through the bread got really soggy & less appetizing. Still, the first few bites, while everything was still warm? So good!

For the RI food fights challenge, they were serving a CRU Cookie Blazer--an iced dirty chai latte with hazelnut and vanilla syrup, vanilla cold foam, Oreos, and CRU mocha sauce. It's not normally on their menu, but they'll happily make it if you ask! This one was definitely more of a sweet treat than the bold coffee flavor I usually gravitate toward, but if you love dessert-inspired coffee drinks, this is right up your alley. I'll definitely be back because that lobster avocado toast has my name written all over it.
