I feel like this is the place for regulars, and I wouldn't mind being one. The staff definitely knew most people in there - I liked that it was clearly a social spot. Tiny spot with a large menu. Plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant and ample seating when I walked through the door. It was getting later in the day, so there was only a couple of other customers in there at the time. We missed the rush because we went about two hours before closing, so that made it easy to get seated and serve served right away. The food was pretty average and nothing to write home about. It wasn't bad and it wasn't awesome. When I go there again? Sure, if I was in the area and I was hungry, I would definitely stop in. But it's certainly not in my top 10 restaurants For breakfast, especially since there are so many other great places within the same 10 minute drive it took me to get there. This place has the greatest omelets I've ever had. I recently went after wanting an omelet and considering going to Denny's of which I didn't. Ordered one omelet with 8 eggs, steak, cheese peppers, and bacon. I also ordered 2 sides of bacon, and it came to $35 minutes the tip, which costs $5 less than if i got two 3 egg omelets from Dennys. I fully customized it and this thing was delicious. It's my third omelet from here, and I refuse to specifically seek an omelet unless it's here, with Jigger's coming in second. I love breakfast food and especially omelets, and this place isn't to be trifled with. I'll drive twenty minutes away for an omelet from this establishment. read more

Great looking local place that is very welcoming with a cozy hometown atmosphere. I was greeted with a friendly smile by both staff and customers. The decor was both nostalgic and vintage which made me smile inside and out. The menu selections are wide and vast that should be able to satisfy most anyone's taste, desire or cravings. Tina is the owner and takes the time to meet and greet the customers. Elaine is an important element to the successful operation and management of this wonderful place. I got the fried fish and white chowder along with the baked fish and red chowder for my mother. We loved all of it!!! Needless to say, I will be a returning customer when I go back to Rhode Island. This place definitely gets 5 stars- not because it's the nicest restaurant or even the cleanest - however the food is plentiful and the waitress is really sufficient. The portions make sure you leave full. I def will be back!! read more

Cozy, quaint, clean diner located in a little convenient plaza with a gas station. There were many affordable specials that all included coffee in the deal. There was also stuffed French toast. Don't expect anything too fancy outside of the brunch staples. We had the J&T Special and a Ham&Cheese Omelette. The Omelette was large and was stuffed with thick hand carved ham (NOT the thin processed meat kind). The home-fries were crispy and hot. And they have raisin toast! The J&T Special comes with an order of 2 pancakes. We decided to make them blueberry. The pancakes were large, slathered with butter and filled with plenty of blueberries. They were buttery and delicious, and the batter was fresh because they were fluffy. The server was attentive and I like that it's an open kitchen concept so you can see the cook make your food. The menus were new and clean which makes you feel like things are up-kept. I'll be back for more! read more

When I am in RI I need to have some NY System Wieners and they are really good right here at J&T's . Sure they got a great breakfast and other items for lunch but I always get Wieners. Go figure! Found J&T's after our favorite spot Mazzy's burned down in Centerdale. Located just up the street, this breakfast joint checked all the boxes. Breakfast menu is expansive and the servings are huge! Coffee a bit lackluster, could be time to upgrade there, but other than that, very happy! read more

Huge breakfast! Almost too much. A side of bacon and they bring a big plate of it. So much hash browns, I had to leave half on the plate so I could function for the rest of the day. The secret is out on J&T. This is THE place for fish and chips on Fridays. The place is jammed packed and 3/4 of the customers are having the fish. I love cole slaw, but sadly, the slaw here needs some help. 6/15/16: I tried their weinies because I wanted to see how they compared to ONYS. The bun was fresh and soft..the weiner cooked just right...toppings were abundant.. Check, check, check...OK..Then I took one bite and something was definitely missing. Celery salt! Been coming almost my entire life, and have had 3 menu items in that last 20 years because they are just that good. Fries... well fried and well seasoned, can't beat them. Crispy outside, creamy inside. Burger.... Great flavor, nice hunk of iceberg lettuce and a not-so-shy sliver of tomato... awesome burger, simple and straight to the point. Hot Weiners.... Better than NY System in Olneyville, Smith St, Mineral Spring, and especially Reservoir Ave. Need I say more? I would put their hot weiners up against anyones in the state. The buns are steamed and always fresh, they feel like they just came out of the dryer hahha. Mustard, celery salt, meat sauce, and onion... all in the perfect ratio. Meat sauce... seasoned PERFECTLY and not dry like some places. Weinorama in cranston... by the time you are done eating, you have "meat crumbs" on your place because the sauce is so goddamn dry. Please get one, it will change your mind about NY System unless you are way too biased haha! Don't get me wrong either... NY System is great, but JT's does it right... they have the slight edge. read more
