DO NOT HIRE THEM! Terrible experience from start to finish. Scheduled a maple to be cut down along with stump removal. The tree was cut down after a 2 week wait time. They piled up the large limbs and trunk on my front lawn and left them there for a week and didn't grind down the stump. The stump removal was urgent as my backyard fence was up against the tree and needed to be replaced immediately following the tree service. After 3 phone calls, they came back 2 weeks later , ground down the stump, damaging my asphalt walk way and basically destroying my back yard in the immediate area of the job. Do yourself a favor and avoid these clowns. I've never once felt the need to write a bad review about someone, but these people must be stopped. read more

UPDATE: So Kyle, a family member of Warwick Tree ownership lives down our dead end street. Our street enters and exits from Mishnock Road just after a long curve. A large, (2 1/2 foot dia) pine tree had been restricting view of cars whipping around that curve, and our mailboxes were accross the street. ,(you literally took your life in your own hands pulling out or crossing to get your mail). There are 13 properties on our dead end road, and lots of inbound and outbound traffic ! It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or worse!! Kyle, and his crew, and with no additional cost to any residents, took it upon himself to remove the tree and stump eliminating the hazard.. they are also moving the mailboxes to a safer location on our road at no cost to residents . It is not a fair price for what you get. I hired Warwick Tree Service to trim the branches around my power lines. Imagine my surprise when they didn't use the bucket they brought, but instead used a manual extended saw, and showed no care keeping the branches from hitting my lines. I also caught them hauling my discarded branches to my neighbors yard instead of chipping them. I actually had to go out and tell them to stop putting the stuff in his yard. The aggravating thing is - I could have done what they did. I have a long saw. But I went to them because I wanted care to be taken regarding my lines. And I told them that at the estimate. I didn't want to brake a line cutting the branches myself. I asked for a concession regarding the fact the bucket wasn't used. I was told the price was the price regardless of what equipment was used, and pretty much to get over it. The lesson here - I'm paying $900.00 for one guy to saw for an hour, and risk breaking a line, while 3 guys stood around watching. I won't be calling on them again. read more

my neighbor and I talked about have a large pine tree removed. Warwick tree was contacted. they came out gave a quote. the price was agreed upon. a date was set for early April to have them come cut the tree down. I called Warwick tree service as I never heard anything from them and I had a few questions regarding the crane and the process. The secretary at Warwick tree service stated that she would have someone call me back. At the end of the day on Friday April 7, 2023 I never heard back from the I tried to call but they were closed. I call on Monday April 10, 2023 and the secretary stated that everything was all set. They would use a "spider" on the neighbor's property. The showed-on Tuesday April 11, 2023 approximately 10:30 am as they finished a job in Wakefield. They supervisor came to my driveway and asked if there was a problem with the crane on my property. I stated "No" that I called just to ask a few questions as I never heard anything about the process. He was upset about the lack of communication from his secretary as to my phone call. She never informed him and changed the equipment by herself. The foreman stated if he had known that I called he would have called back or even driven out to our house to clear up any issues. He stated he could not do the job with the equipment he brought. He stated that the job would have to be rescheduled. I called Warwick tree service at (401) 826-8733 twice in April to see if the job had been rescheduled. Each time the secretary would state "no not yet, should be next week". I called several times in May. On May 18, 2023 I called and was told that the job had been scheduled for May 26, 2023 at 8:30AM. I took the day off from work to be home while the tree was being cut. On May 26, 2023 I contact Warwick tree service at approximately 9:30AM as they had not shown yet and was told by the secretary "that there was no job scheduled that day." read more

I had a myriad of issues with Warwick tree after the estimate. I had to call three times to get the tree removal scheduled. I finally got a call back saying it would be tomorrow. This meant I could not be present. My fiancé was at the house and asked them to place the wood ( huge tree-70 ft tall, 5 ft dial. base) at the side of the house because we intended on keeping it. This was discussed previously on the phone during my three calls as well. When I got home the wood was halfway in the street, presenting a safety hazard. Due to the short notice of tree removal I was worried. I was told by Warwick Tree when then leave the wood, they DO NOT come back to take the tree. Two days later our tree and all our wood was GONE!!! I called and left a message to see if they took it and got no reply. When I finally had the patience to call them And speak nicely they said they never make mistakes. NO APOLOGY was given. I was charged for stump grinding that hasn't taken place, that I did not want. I told them not to do it because I at least had the stump. Except, the night after I called and told them to not come back, the stump was grinded without my knowledge. My lawn was further destroyed by the stump grinder machine!!! I am irate and would love a remedy to this issue, but save yourself the trouble and hire Don Sepe or Northeastern Tree. Will update if I am contacted and compensated for my loss of all the wood I had planned to use in an around my home! read more

My family owns multiple commercial properties and we have used a few tree companies in the past, but always use Warwick tree service now. First, they are the best tree guys in Rhode Island, no questions about it. Are they the cheapest company around = NO. Saying that I feel these guys don't rob you and most often you get what you pay for. They are fully insured and use the best equipment. If you don't belive me just look at the new cranes and trucks they drive around Rhode Island in. This was important to me as they have the largest/strongest drivable tree crane in RI the time when I needed the best. Being fully insured and having new equipment means alot as they have literally craned a tree as thick as a state dump truck over my building as they had no access and cut it up as much as possible. Also, my neighbors only agree to give me access if I can prove I am using the best and fully insured tree company. This greases the skids withbmy neighbors removing trees on my property lines. Other tree companies even saw my downed trees and tried to steal the work by offering to do it less. These same companies are known for cranes failing and falling on peoples houses. I wont name them in here as it is a jerk move to do so. During an early 2019 wind storm I lost a giant pine tree and it landed on my building. Afraid my building would recieve more damage and could possibly be condemned (which would close me and cause loss of business income), I called warwick tree. They came out within hours and got it off building. Because they had other emergency calls they left to help others but came back the next day to chop up two more trees that were a danger and grind all three stumps. I was charged the general fee and no crazy "emergency tree service fee". I feel they also give me a deal in the long run as they know I call them and not waste their time with multiple qoutes without giving them work. If you value your house or building staying in one piece, and want a company that has the equipment and man power call warwick tree. Worst firewood i have ever purchased! The wood i got was wet and muddy. When i let some of it dry the wood had a glaze of dirt over every piece. I contacted them and they told me to knock the dirt as i stacked it. I contacted them again they said they would send someone out to look at it and replace it if needed. 2 weeks later no one has came and refuse to return my calls. I never thought i would have to washing a cord of wood before stacking. read more

We received a verbal estimate from the company to remove a downed tree and to cut down a branch that was hanging over our property. We then received a quote from the company that mirrored the estimate. Warwick Tree came and removed the downed tree, but left the branch hanging over our property. When I called them back I was told that I would need to pay more money for them to come finish the job. read more

They delivered late. Firewood is SOAKED. ***UPDATE: Spoke to owner who interrupted me multiple times as I attempted to speak. "ME: CAN YOU LET ME SPEAK PLEASE" "DERECK: NO" -- He stated he had heard all he needed to hear, and "YOU ARE NO LONGER OUR COSTUMER". He claims they will come pick up the wood and return our money later in the week, then HUNG UP ON ME without setting a date and time. He also repeated several times that he doesn't care about a few bad reviews because he sells a lot of wood, and that it is "mother nature's fault". He was also annoyed that I have called multiple times trying to reach me and even ASKED ME, REPEATEDLY, A PERSONAL QUESTION REGARDING MY WORK HOURS. Original: They said to let it dry... that's not working obviously (it's been days). I have been calling all day and Linda stated that the owner has not been in the office. She claims that all wood is like that no matter where you go, and that Dereck (owner) came to the office and left. She stated, "I asked him what I had to ask him" as a response to why I would not be able to speak to him, despite the fact that I had no question... I have been calling to make the complaint. She refused to let me speak to him to make my complaint, despite the fact that I explained I have a toddler and newborn in the house, with no other heating system at the moment. On May 2nd 2017 Warwick Tree Removal were scheduled to remove one oak tree from my backyard and grind the stump for $2300 around 1pm. While working on my property two of my neighbors ask them to remove trees on their individual property. They had all their equipment set up on my property so owner decided to do the two additional jobs. The crane was still set up in my driveway, over my water line, when I arrive home at 6pm. On the quote from WTS it states they are not responsible for damage done to the lawn by your tree . My tree was on my front lawn along with my neighbor's 2 trees causing additional damage to my lawn, (which wasn't notice until WTS removed all the limbs off the property over the next two days), and the road by my mailbox now had a hole with broken asphalt One of my neighbors paid WTS about $800 cash to remove his tree (no paper trail), the other ask to be bill for the tree they had removed. On May 12th I received a bill for $3300. I called to ask about the increase in price and was inform by the receptionist/owner's wife that they didn't have my neighbor's information to send her the bill so it was added to my bill. Who does business this way??? You take a job and didn't get the name & address of the customer.....so you send me the bill. And not on a separate invoice, in which I can just hand it to them but on the same bill. The owner of WTS, Derek, gets on the phone and angrily tells me that my tree was the biggest one and the damage to my lawn came from my tree and not the other two trees that were place on my property and that my lawn didn't look all that nice anyway. The damage that was done to the road is for the city to fix. I asked him when are they coming back to grind the stump. He says it usually done a week after the tree is removed so it will be next Tues. I asked May 16th? (Well then that's 2 weeks after removal.) He said "yes but if you're going to be a problem I won't bother to come back and grind the stump" and then he hangs up on me. This is how they treat a customer. I hired you to do a job and you're yelling at me and telling me that you won't finish the job or fix the damage that you made because you got greedy and took on extra work. It seems Warwick Tree Service is under new ownership and this is how they now do business. Warwick Tree Service is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with both personally & professionally. Careful buying wood from them. On their website they claim in regards to firewood "We supply all of Rhode Island with 100% seasoned firewood, we are the only company in the region that provides tumbled firewood to ensure the wood is as clean as possible." The wood was delivered soaking wet.. I mean so saturated that a grown man needed two hands to lift ONE piece!! Not to mention it was completely muddy.. EVERY SINGLE PIECE! As if it was pulled out of a muddy back yard. My husband contacted them, their response was it's rained it's just sand. It is NOT JUST SAND. We called again to tell them listen this isn't ok. So the OWNER contacted my husband as said he'd send his guy out to take care of it NO ONE SHOWED. So we called them AGAIN the lady Linda, good old Linda, took my number for a third time (not including all the times she took my husbands) and said she'd contact the owner and call me back.. and what do you know? I never got a call back.. this wood ya sheen sitting in my drive way for 2 weeks.. for 2 weeks we have been trying to get them to correct the situation because burins wet muddy wood is going to be difficult, cause major build up in my chimney, and I paid 250$ for wood that was supposed to be tumbled clean and seasoned!!! 110% DISSATISFIED.. they want nothing to do with correcting this but had absolutely no problem cashing my check!! Below has been copied from my original review, and at the end a final update as to the completion.... 3/8/18- DO NOT USE WARWICK TREE! absolutely horrible service. They gave us a good price, but as I should have known "you get what you pay for." We hired them to cut down, hall away, and remove stumps of 5 trees in our back yard. They cut down the trees on February 6th. I am still chasing them to complete the job today, March 7th. I've had tree trunks scattered about my yard, and been getting the run around for a month. We called 2 days after they cut the trees down, and were told they'd be here to complete the job "if not today, tomorrow." I called again the following week on Tuesday, and was told "within the week" I waited 8 days and called again. Since then I have called about 5 more times. This past Monday I was told I'd get a call back the next day, which I didn't. Today we spoke with the owner, who didn't even apologize. She used Friday's storm as an excuse. Then, when my fiance told her the job was started more than 3 weeks before the storm happened, she told him to shut up because she was talking! Only when I threatened to call channel 12, did they have the gentleman that's in charge of the job call me. He then proceeded to tell me that the owner of the complex in the back of my house was yelling at them for going in that way, and that's why they couldn't complete the job. Why wasn't this communicated to me? Why didn't you go through my driveway, which you said would be fine when you came out to quote the job? ..stutters... I'll be out by the end if the day to look at going through that way and have the logs out within the next couple of days. -i guess we shall see 4/10/18 --UPDATE We have now reached 2 whole months from the first date Warwick Tree came out. My entry above ended with being told they'd be out "in the next couple of days" to have the logs out. They did come out within the next 4 days or so from that entry to pick up the logs. However, they left 1 lonely stump behind, seemingly to spite me! I called Derek the day after the logs were removed to ask about this stump. He assured me that they "would be out to take care of any stumps left behind, due to the logs being in the way." Now, another week or so goes by, and on 3/23 I call to follow up on this stump again. I was told that the stump grinder is about a week behind, and was assured that I am definitely on the list and they would be out to take care of this within the next week and a half. It's now been over 2 weeks and I haven't heard a thing! It seems I will be calling them yet again today. Final update 4/18/18 I did call Warwick tree 1 last time as previously mentioned and was told "tomorrow" yet again... Of course, tomorrow came and went. So this time, I really did call Channel 12. I was advised to send a certified letter. I brought the letter to the post office first thing in the morning on Saturday 4/14. Then all of a sudden at 7:45am on 4/18 I was woken up by banging at my door, not knocking, nor a ring of the doorbell, but loud banging at the door. The man at the door tells me I need to move my car so they can get through the driveway to the back yard. Yes, no problem... but it would have been nice of him to ask me kindly to move my car, not demand that I move it. But I digress. They finally finished the job! Although they left a bit of a mess behind, and because of waiting so long my back yard was wet, thus their trucks completely tore up my back yard, but they finally finished the job!!! Worse company ever (I've seen how they cut trees and don't clean up) Call the office with a problem and you can then understand why the employees are the way they are. Asked the crew to move their truck from blocking my driveway and got attitude and asked when I was leaving I didn't feel I had to explain about moving the truck that was blocking my driveway and got attitude and back talk. Called the office and they could care less and said maybe it was the only place to park. No it wasn't, and even if it was you ask if you can park there or figure something else out you don't block other people's driveways. She then asked if he moved and I said yes but not without attitude or back talk and the women said well there isn't anything she could do (all this with great attitude herself). Warning Warwick Tree Service is an extremely unprofessional company. First off, let me start off by saying you get what you pay for! I hired them to remove some trees on my property and it has been a nightmare ever since. They left debris everywhere and damaged personal property. They have poor communication skills and I had to reach out multiple times to have the work completed. To further add to the horror, the first time that I finally get to speak with the owner he was shouting and yelling profanities at me over the phone and would not let me get a word in. He refused to give me his full name and denied any damage to my property whatsoever. I asked him to send me his denial statement in writing along with the pictures he claimed he had that would prove to me that the damage was there before the work was completed and he refused to send it.
