We even ordered extra sauces and they were sealed tightly. The price is great for the amount of food that you get for the Tuesday deal. All of the fish tasted fresh and delicious and great texture. Although we did not try anything crazy, it was just a good sushi especially for takeout. I know it is not everyone's favorite either but they give a ton of ginger/wasabi which is my personal favorite addition so I am glad that they add that. Both the raw and fried rolls were delicious, my personal favorite was probably the dancing tuna or the spicy california roll. The sauce was enveloped by the taste of frying oil, causing the flavor to be bitter. By the time our entrees arrived, morale was at an all time low but the first bite of my roll made up for it. The Ichiban roll is unique- asparagus with spicy salmon and yellow tail may sound bizarre but it works. I've come to the conclusion that Sakana is purely a sushi restaurant. The broth didn't look as fresh as I would have liked when my food was initially brought to me but after adding the ingredients to the soup, it tasted fine. My soup needed flavour as it was bland so I had to stand up and go to the back of the restaurant to get some chili oil and sauces so that I could add that to my soup. When my food was brought out, it was actually a lot for 1 person so I don't remember finishing my soup.
