I discovered Funshi during Yelp Elite event and have been a fan ever since. When I was looking for a spot for casual dinner with my mom, I instantly thought about Funshi. We were both craving sushi and something more hearty. And so, we had a feast complete with sushi, ramen, and bowls. Loved every minute. AMBIANCE: Casual eatery with raised ceilings, modern lighting, and comfy booths. There is a robot waiter delivering your food. The space is always very clean. I love how trendy it looks! The space is equally comfy for groups snd solo dining. FOOD: I'll admit that I tend to be very picky about sushi. There's only one place I frequent in Cleveland for sushi. That's until I added another place to my list - Funshi. There's a huge selection of sushi - more traditional choices and fancy creations. We ordered Tuna Roll ($5.95), Salmon Roll ($5.50), and Alaska Roll ($6.95). Each roll generously comes with 6 pieces. The fish is very fresh and has large portions. There are no excessive ingredients added (like veggies). Sushi is five star eat! I also ordered Curry Beef Bowl ($15.99). I based this experience on a previous visit - tasty huge bowl! Curry Beef Bowl wasn't my favorite. It was too spicy. I tend to eat very mild foods. Still it was a very generous serving. The waitress mentioned that Beef Onion Bowl is a similar dish, but less soupy. My mom ordered Tonkotsu ($10.99) which is a ramen with chicken cutlet (other proteins are available). Huge portion and so hearty! Don't miss out on the rest of the menu - bubble teas, bowls, ramen, appetizers, and deserts. The food is really made with top quality in mind. SERVICE: I was very impressed with service during my visits. Service is excellent. You are genuinely greeted upon entrance. Waiters are super attentive, responsive, and friendly. If you're not feeling especially social, you can order via QR code at your table. You don't see this top notch service much anymore! My mom and I loved our dinner. Days later we're still eating leftovers. We hope to return soon and try the desserts! Actually saving room for desserts next time!

Good spot for fair price sushi and ramen. The robot was cool that came and brought boba and meals but seemed almost unnecessary because the servers just used it as a table to then grab from the robot to hand to guests. The robot didn't seem to make things that much more efficient. The taro boba was very delicious and I would get again!

Revolving belt sushi and à la carte order menu. Each plate on the belt is $3.50. Large place but definitely a wait for dinner. Big selection of raw and cooked sushi and sashimi items and the related apps like seaweed salad and brown sugar rice cakes.

Funshi is a new sushi/ramen/boba restaurant in Rocky River. Funshi has cute and lively decor. The seating area is spacious. We were expecting counter service, but it sit down restaurant. The menu has a large assortment of choices. Your food is brought to the table by your server. The boba is delivered by a robot. Be sure to press confirm after removing your drinks. I pressed it too soon and had to run after the to robot to get the drinks. It moves fast. It made for an interesting meal. The ramen and sushi were both very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. It appears Funshi is opening conveyor belt sushi soon. We will be trying that out.

A new ramen spot in Rocky River! My friend was kind enough to treat me to a belated birthday meal here, and I'm glad to say it was great! I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, Korean chicken wings with soy garlic sauce, and matcha milk tea. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious and came out nice & hot. In addition to noodles and broth, the ramen came with black fungus, corn, Naruto style fish cakes, spinach, green onions, seaweed, and an egg. You can also get it with pickled bamboo shoots at no additional charge, but I'm not a big fan of their distinctive flavor, so I requested my ramen with no bamboo shoots. The broth was creamy and flavorful, and I drank almost all of it up. The noodles had a nice chew to them, and I appreciated the generous portion. The toppings were also great, especially the egg, which had a delightfully jammy yolk. I also enjoyed the Korean fried chicken wings, which had a super crispy exterior yet were still juicy & tender on the inside. The wings were plenty delicious on their own, but they were even better when dipped into the soy garlic sauce. My only critique is that I wish the wings were tossed in the sauce. When I order Korean chicken wings at other restaurants, the wings come absolutely drenched in sauce (yet still magically retain that fantastic crispiness). But perhaps next time, I'll ask the server if I can get them tossed in soy garlic sauce. And finally, the matcha milk tea was a creamy, sweet delight that still had some of that nice, slightly bitter matcha flavor. In addition to great food, we had great service from our friendly and attentive server. The vibe of the restaurant was casual, fun, and welcoming.

Such a cute and fun place. Great, fast service, clean environment and quality food. Had 2 different boba teas, 2 different ramen bowls, a curry chicken rice bowl and the crab salad on Pringle's. Enjoyed all That we ordered and will definitely be back to try more sushi.

This is my second visit to Funshi. And I can say I will be back for many more visits. The staff is always friendly and they are not a "it's your customer" type of place. They all help everyone out no matter who it is. I ordered a rice bowl today and was very surprised to see it come inside a square container with a lid. It was interactive sorta. I got to remove the lid and enjoy the inside. I did like that part. The food inside was delicious. They have ramen soup bowls and also rice bowls. Wash it all down with their boba drinks and you may think you are in heaven. You need to try this place out and enjoy it. Located in the same parking lot as Home Depot and McDonald's.

The space is super trendy, clean, and spacious, perfect for groups. We kicked things off with some shareable appetizers. The Crabby Pringles and Takoyaki were so good. Drinks are made with fresh fruit I had the Mango Coconut Foam and loved that you can adjust the sweetness. Pro tip: add cheese foam to any drink, trust me.They offer a great selection of fresh sushi. We got a variety of rolls and nigiris and scarfed it all down, it was fantastic. I didn't have room for ramen this time, but saw they have a build-your-own option with an 8-hour broth Plus, plenty of kid meal options! And they have a robot that brings food around and the kids around us were obsessed!

One of the newest sushi ramen spots in the area, so we stopped by! When we walked in Friday night, every table was filled, so we ended up at the sushi making counter. It was more of a self-service type restaurant (order on the app, chefs received the ticket, food is made and brought out by one of the various employees). Because that night was busy with dine in and a ton of to-go orders, I think our 3 speciality sushi rolls took 45 mins to come out. One of the employees made sure we were okay and reassured us our order is coming soon, which was very nice. We ended up ordering a few more rolls, for a total of 5, plus a crazy lemon drink. The bill totaled to $90, which I am not sure if that was worth the price. Sushi at other spots typically range less, especially when this fish wasn't the highest quality. I'm glad we gave Funshi a try!

Funshi has a lot to offer. The matcha milk boba that i tried had very fresh boba but the matcha milk itself didn't have as strong of a matcha flavor as i expected. They have plenty of others that would probably be better. It is clean and modern on the inside and has a small patio out front as well. The servers here were very welcoming and helpful. The Chicken curry rice bowl had fresh and flavorful chicken on top and the curry was great. I do wish that they had a bit more veggies because the few fresh broccoli pieces were great but not enough I feel. The Korean Wings were nice and crunchy, well fried, and the spicy sauce was the delicious with it. There were one or two of the wings that I felt tasted not as fresh as the others. It definitely took away from the experience a bit but overall they were good. I'd give this place another try, the sushi looked enticing.

Funshi exceeded my expectations! When I walked in, I was impressed with the clean and sleek look to the place. It is more of a fast casual place, but has plenty of seating indoors. I ordered food to go and it came out in less than 10 minutes. To drink, I had the passionfruit peach tea and it was delicious! I ordered a vegetarian ramen bowl that came with noodles, a seaweed salad, egg, corn and more. For the protein option, I ordered the vegan one which was inari & seaweed salad although it wasn't really a protein. I had the vegan broth and it was so flavorful! My only wish is that there was a real vegetarian protein option, like tofu or edamame. The staff were very kind and very welcoming. I would definitely return when I want a comforting, tasty and warm meal.

Had some Roman and sushi and a pineapple peach tea. The service was good. The ambiance was welcoming.

Amazing service, the cutest robot that delivers food, great music, tasty treats, and sweet beverages. It's a nice fast-casual, trendy spot when you can't decide between ramen or Japanese. Definitely a win-win!!!

Two page menu gave plenty of options, but it wasn't overkill like many Chinese food menus. Red curry w/ jasmine rice I ordered the Pineapple fried rice, which was delicious, w/ chicken veggies & curry & a zero spice level. Others tried: Vegetable stir fry w/ white Jasmine rice on side (spice level 1) & Yellow curry veggie (delish) with rice on side (spice level 2), & Red Curry veggie w/ rice (level 3/5). It was nice you can pick level of spice on any dish. The level 2&3 was too much for me, 1 woulda been perfect. Servers were very polite & very much on it. We sat over 2 hrs & they refilled drinks the whole time. The prices were probably in range w/ other Thai places but a tad high ($16 for ours) if I compare to a fast casual Mexican or Chinese which give just as much portion.

I took the recommendation of our server on dish and chose a nice spicy curry and was not disappointed. While it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, he told me how to order it hotter the next time. The flavor combinations and the depth of flavor was so amazing. Are crab Rangoon has outdone every other crab Rangoon I've ever had. At this point, I could name other places where I thought their crab Rangoon was amazing... And at this point they no longer even hold a candle. A nice hearty crab chunks mixed in with the cream cheese sauce and filling, and it's just to die for. The dessert of the sticky rice with mango was sweet and thick and filling and just rich beyond description. The lighting is soft and easy in the eyes, the colors on the walls are pleasant and pink and oranges and brown purples, sounds a pleasant to listen to everybody cooking in the music, while faster and hip-hop was not distracting. I quite enjoyed listening to it, listening to Thailand versions of American hits. It was quite an enjoyable experience all around. We look forward to coming back.

I was working at a coffee shop nearby, 10 mins away, with a friend and we both decided to walk over to Hako to grab lunch. FOOD -- Hako has lots to choose from, including sushi, rice dishes, dumplings, etc. I ordered the Dumpling Bowl ($13.95) for lunch which was delicious and fresh. The Dumpling Bowl includes sushi rice, furikake top fried chicken dumplings, and cucumbers. It is topped with spicy mayo & eel sauce. The chicken dumplings were thick, crunchy on the ends, and slightly creamy with the spicy mayo on top. The addition of the sushi rice gave for a filling lunch. The dish wasn't too salty especially with the cucumbers on the side which added a cooling effect. I will definitely order the dumpling bowl again and the price ($13.95) is a lunch special, I believe. AMBIANCE -- Simple design inside with tables and chairs. Calm atmosphere. Clean. SERVICE -- Quick and efficient customer service. The lady at the checkout counter was very friendly.
